Overall solid food. I came here for lunch on a weekday and it was rather empty. Our appetizers came out rather slowly, but our mains came out almost immediately after. The brie pastry was very yummy. I enjoyed the crisp exterior paired with the melty brie cheese and the sweet berries. I would definitely order this again. The gazpacho was okay. I liked the french onion soup a lot though! The top was slightly charred giving it a smoky flavor (not sure if it was intentional) but I rather enjoyed this added complexity. I ordered the lamb sandwich for my main dish. It was good though parts of the lamb were slightly tough. I still happily ate it. The aioli added some much needed moisture. The chicken pasta had a flavorful sauce. I wasn't a fan of the actual pasta- slightly overcooked. Originally our brie appetizer came out with nuts (not mentioned on the menu). However, our waiter, who was very kind and attentive throughout the meal, brought out another without. Overall, a fine lunch spot. read more

I believe this restaurant is located inside the Ritz-Carlton. They don't validate parking for the garage (which was only $10.99), but they do validate for valet. The restroom wasn't ideal, no tissue and the soap scent wasn't great but it's located outside of the restaurant itself. Once inside, though, the ambiance made up for it. The décor is lovely with white Christmas lights hanging from the windows, giving it a cozy, romantic vibe. There's live music on Friday and Saturday nights around 6:30 p.m., and the singer was fantastic. K said dinner felt like a scene from a rom-com. Our server wasn't as friendly as K would have liked, but he was attentive and responded nicely to us throughout the meal. We started with the potato soup, which was piping hot and served in a deep bowl, very generous and delicious. The crab salad followed, and I was worried I'd be too full, but it was light and flavorful. I had the trout with potatoes and substituted Brussels sprouts. Everything was seasoned perfectly, and the sprouts were nicely crisp. K ordered the beef with mashed potatoes and a side of broccolini, which had a smoky flavor with a bit of a kick. I actually liked the broccolini more than K did, it was unique and really tasty. For dessert, we shared the apple tart with vanilla ice cream. I thought it was light and lovely, but K wasn't a big fan since he prefers traditional apple pie. A whiskey bar hidden gem in Buckhead! It has been here for at least 3 years, that I know of, and I finally took time to step into F&B on a Saturday night. It sits at the bottom of the Ritz residencies, unassuming, but when I stepped in, I was greeted by the sound of live music and a friendly hostess. Because I was alone, I opted for a seat at the bar. The bar was a nice surprise because some big bourbon and whiskey brands immediately stuck out to me (pappy van winkle). The cocktail menu is whiskey/ bourbon forward. I found it intriguing they had a bourbon trail flight and a Chardonnay flight. With my Chardonnay, I opted to have the beet salad. It was very flavorful and refreshing and paired well with my wine. The live musician was a lovely bonus, and I found myself wishing to share this with my fiancé. Of course, when I tried to bring him for a dinner, they were closed for a private event. lol oh well. What an adorable little spot. Was looking for a casual but nice feel vibe and it was exactly what we were looking for. A little hidden inside of an office building, but a good vibe of a casual bistro. Great service - serve was friendly and knowledgeable with all the recommendations. This place is 4.5 stars. But it deserves rounding up. It's got a really nice feel and the atmosphere is warm and inviting while maintaining sophistication. The half star is because the menu is a bit limited. On the other hand, because it's limited, everything out of the kitchen is fresh and tasty. I have to admit that it's a good French Onion soup but not my favourite version and so I wasn't interested in it after the first three spoonfuls (to give it a fair try). All else has pleased me or my dinner companions. The service is white glove with no hint of condescension. Make reservations but dress is on the stylish side of jeans or better... not so much come as you are from the gym. Enjoy. read more

We had 3 courses, and each one was delicious. The salmon tartar was excellent. For my entree, I had the trout and roasted veggies. The lemon butter caper sauce that came with the trout was velvety, and the capers did overpower the flavor. My hubby had the steak frites, and the steak was tender and flavorful. I had extremely high hopes for this restaurant. As a lover of French food, I figured, what could go wrong? Turns out, everything. Immediately upon walking in, the host did not acknowledge our presence and made us wait several minutes before acknowledging us and seating us. Upon being seated, our server came over. He did not welcome us, he did not introduce himself, and he did not introduce the menu or the restaurant. He was completely silent. I chalked it up to being a busy night and expected the food to be the star of the show. Unfortunately, I was once again incorrect. The lobster bisque was one of the worst I've had - cold, aggressively fishy, and just plain disgusting. After about 5 minutes of eating said lobster bisque, while I was still actively attempting to politely take bites here and there, our entrees were brought to the tiny table that didn't have enough room, completely derailing any potential satisfaction that could have occurred during the appetizer portion of the meal. As I was beginning to accept the utterly bizarre pacing of the meal, I decided to give up on the bisque and try my steak. The steak was so tough, it seemed like a cut of meat that had been purchased at Kroger. The "star of the show" was the French fries, and yet they still tasted like something you could buy in the frozen section of a grocery store. Typically, I am thrilled to spend $300 on a date night dinner. Good food and good company is the reason I live. At F&B, you are not spending $300 on high quality food, you are not spending $300 on a lovely ambience, you are not spending $300 on good service. You are throwing away $300 to just end up going to eat elsewhere because you can't stomach the horrors they serve you. TLDR: If you're looking for fabulous French food and fabulous service, go down the street to Petite Violette. Don't waste your time or money at F&B. read more

We had dinner there and it was fantastic! It is a delightful small restaurant, not too small, and with a nice buzz in the dining room as well as the bar. The owner/maitre 'd was very charming, seated us immediately and the server was very attentive. Food came out quickly and everything we ate was delicious. We each had the Harvest Salad--yummy. I had the Chicken Ballotine--scrumptious--and I am not a big fan of chicken. Hubby had the seared trout and said it was wonderful. We had fruit tart dessert and warm chocolate cake dessert and each was superb. This is a lovely restaurant with a pleasant ambiance; feels like you have popped into one of those little restaurants in a Parisian neighborhood "off the beaten path" that is so, so good. This was my second time going to F&B. Their service is super friendly and attentive. The ambiance is classy and great for date night/celebration. The first time, I ordered a fish that is no longer in the menu. I found it a bit too salty for my liking, but this time around the lamb lollipops were fantastic! The mashed potatoes are on the chunkier side which I enjoyed. The lamb was tender and well portioned and the sauce was balanced nicely. You can't go wrong starting off with a charcuterie board and their mussels are so good! Ask for a fresh roll and they'll bake it on the spot. read more

Great spot! Went with an old friend to catch up, she had been here before but I had not. Apparently, they've redone the image and menu! First, it's busy and a little loud but in a good way! It's pricey for sure, but great for adults, dates and groups...maybe kids for lunch but not likely dinner. Valet parking as well. Menu is small but good, lots of seafood options. My friend god the oysters/crab appetizers which she loved. I got a salad which was good as well. The main dishes are 1/3 portions on purpose (so you can try more). I only got the halibut which was great. She got the chicken and tuna which were excellent as well. We also shared creme brulee and enjoyed that. Wonderful service. I was surprised because I expected more. Upon entering the restaurant I was greeted by a host/man with an unfriendly sour expression, not a good first impression. Lunched with a few friends and everyone ordered a version of soup, sandwich and salad. One person ordered a sandwich with a specific bread. Sandwich came out with a different bread and she inquired - waiter checked and said her choice was not available. A good restaurant would have asked her which other choice she preferred. Instead she ended up having to return the sandwich for a different bread and wait while we had our food. Also, it was described as a turkey sandwich and should have specified it was Smoked turkey - big difference and not everyone likes smoked turkey. I had a prosciutto sandwich that was mediocre and loaded with a rosemary mayo, only a mayo flavor...yuck. I also did not taste the truffle oil as listed on the sandwich that is usually a discernable flavor. Warm chocolate cake dessert was nice, nothing special. Wait staff was OK, did not seem familiar with the menu ingredients. I will not return. For French food Anis is still the best in the area. read more

The main advantage of F&B to us is proximity (walking distance) to where we live. The food is mediocre to good. They charge for bread but it is one of the best things there. It is not a real French bistro experience. It is more of a white tablecloth place with well-spaced tables and booths. That is arguably more pleasant but does not resemble a real Parisian bistro. We have tried a variety of things here (coq au vin, trout, salmon, seafood pasta, some of the starters, some of the desserts). The food is good but not great. I would give it a 4 for food and a pleasant dining environment. However, the prices are too high for what you are getting. We will continue to frequent F&B but I wish the prices were not so high. read more

The mini baguettes were soft inside and crispy outside (and warm). They looked like ciabatta bread but were baguettes in flavor and texture. Yum. Dipped nicely in my white bean soup. I graduated into Mussels in a white wine cream sauce that were perfect in texture and taste. I also had a side of mashed potatoes because I fiend for the richness of French pomme purée. I've been coming to F&B for a long time but not frequently. In the past, I found the menu to be "ordinary" and somewhat limited. BUT, they have changed...a LOT! If you're like me and it's been half a year or more since you went to F&B, you need to make a reservation and GO! Ambiance was never an issue for F&B. This is a beautiful space in a great building - 3630 Peachtree Rd is the Ritz Carlton Residences, just north of Phipps, NOT the Ritz hotel. Don't make that mistake. (Incidentally, the best sushi place in Atlanta is also here, Tomo.). The build out at F&B is beautiful. It's got a great bar, that's almost the length of the entire restaurant. Lighting is subdued and the warm wood decorations are extensive and tasteful. But none of that has changed. What's changed is the menu. The menu has been expanded. There are basically small plates, medium plates and salads, and full entrées. This makes it great for sharing many plates with a table. We had truffle and potato soup, which was amazing! Also, quail legs that were battered and fried. These could have come out a little crisper but we're full of flavor. For entrees, we had a couple of burgers. The Lambburger is just AMAZING, and if you like garlic be sure to get the garlic fries, which they will let you substitute for regular fries. They were also outstanding. The F&B burger is also excellent. They say it's only 7 ounces, but it's thick and juicy. I would definitely put this up against the H&F burger. New to menu is chicken paillard, which is a chicken breast pounded flat and served with an arugula salad on top. You see this at Bistro Niko as well, but I really enjoyed the subtle spices that F&B used to season theirs. It was delightful. They also do a duck two ways which was INCREDIBLE! No longer do you have to decide between confit OR duck breast; now you can have BOTH. Yes, both. It's also worth noting that F&B had live music when we were there. It was a lounge singer with an electronic background, but he was really great and added a nice touch. Also, F&B has some great patio seats for nice weather days. F&B has an extensive wine list and an exceptional beer selection that rotates. Prices are quite reasonable and lower than most Buckhead restaurants of this caliber. Burgers are $15. The Duck both ways was $25 or so. Soup was only $6. Also, the corkage was non-offensive at $20, not great but non offensive. If it has been more than a few months, it's time for you to go give F&B another shot. read more

Went for lunch. Basic take is that it's mediocre. It's a nice vibe with good lighting/decor, but the food isn't anything to write home about, especially for the prices. But my bigger issue is the parking. Self-parking next door will cost north of $10 for a short visit (and the restaurant will not validate!), but the valet is free. Don't self park! I am torn about this rating. It's either three or four, so see what I say and decide for yourselves. My birthday dinner with the fam this year at a newly opened spot. On the negative/three side . . . This place is like Terminus in that it's a pain to get into. You either have to u-turn at P'tree and P'tree Dunwoody if you are coming from the south, or figure out a back entrance; it's easiest if you're coming from the north, like my parents in Brookhaven and can just make a right. It's a little awkward to know where to go the first time you get there - and the valet's a little stretched dealing with both Tomo and F&B. It's a VERY small menu. Like merely a handful of selections in each "category" small - quite different than FAB. The scallops (which you can get as an app or increase to an entree) are just kind of meh. From a seasoning standpoint and I didn't really dig the kinda sweet and lemony sauce. It is pricey. Very, for what it is. On the positive/four side . . . It's a swanky, cool place. (Note- I do not get why so many people were what we considered underdressed - ie sport shirts and shorts- for a place like this). Our server Belinda was super. She's worked at a number of the best restaurants in town and definitely knows her stuff. Mom loved the chicken and my steak frites were awesome. Dad got the arctic char and seemed to enjoy it; he also really liked his chicken liver salad app. On the whole, it's an "A-OK" place so it gets a three - but as I watched the people come in and out (my parents sat looking out toward the street while I had a view of the bar area), I don't know that this is a spot that will ultimately make it. It's just - too "trendy," definitely too pricey - and just kinda inconvenient - for what it offers. Just my gut. We shall see! read more

The ambience is great for a group or a date. Servers are attentive and friendly. The manager (?) was concerned when we had not ordered for 25 minutes. We explained that we were waiting for a friend. When he said good bye to us at the exit, later, he asked about the friend. I was impressed he remembered and made an effort to say good bye as it was closing time and I'm sure everyone must have been tired. We got the Restaurant Week menu with the pate for an appetizer. It smelled great and was tasty with the crispy bread. The bread was a little too hard for me but I may be more sensitive than the average. The main course was the best part. Chicken stuffed with mushroom and other delicious ingredients. The chicken was the most tender that I've eaten, probably. I ate everything except the bone! The gelato was so popular that it ran out. However, we did have waffles for dessert. My favorite is the fresh, sweet strawberries that topped the waffles. Valet parking is complimentary. They work off tips. read more

We show up 15 minutes before kitchen closes on a Monday night. I know, not super cool. But this is a hotel district and we are from out of town and just desperate to find some food. They turn us away. Which causes us to not be able to find food anywhere. I get it, I worked in restaurants and I know it's hard work, but this never would have been acceptable behavior at any restaurant I worked at. Super bad character in my opinion. read more

They need hair nets and maybe some common sense. Boyfriend ordered the $52 filet and it came with an obvious hair on the plate touching the steak. We immediately stopped the server to show him and he just stared down at the plate. No apologies. He said nothing and used his hand to pull the hair off the plate. He left the plate entree with us and took the hair into the kitchen. They have clear glass so we can see them in the kitchen.. manager, chef, server, all of them just raising the hair up to the light to study it. What-in-the-actual-fuck? We had to ask them to take the plate away and for a new one to be made. Why did we have to stick our heads into your kitchen to ask that?? The rest of our party were done by the time he got his food. Not even an apology. Food was mediocre. Only good thing was at the entrance when the hostess greeted us hello and goodbye. Valet was polite. read more
