We had heard great things about this place so we decided to stop it. It's a set menu so everyone gets bread, salad and steak. The bread was alright but really hard on the outside. The salad I wish was cute a little smaller because the lettuce was so large. The steak was also a smaller portion than we expected. The fries were super good. Over all it was cute and we enjoyed it but it was a little expensive. Not sure if I would come back but glad I tried it.

I wanted to try out Bar Blanc since I have been to their sister location Little Sparrow and loved my experience there. The inside of Bar Blanc is extremely dark... a little too dark in my opinion it was hard to see anything! The tables inside are also extremely close together so it was very uncomfortable and awkward trying to get through the gaps to make it to the booth. They have a fixed menu so you get bread and butter, salad, steak, and unlimited frites. The steak here is just ok, there is a char flavor on it that was a little too strong for me. This night they also had shrimp as an option to add to the meal which i thought was very underseasoned. The drinks were also just fine. Our waitress was very nice and probaly the best part of the whole experience, she saw I was looking around to find where they keep the matchbooks and grabbed me some to take home. Not a bad experience and I'm glad I tried it, but I will likely continue to go to Little Sparrow instead since they have a nicer ambiance and better menu options to choose from!

I really really enjoyed bar Blanc! This restaurant has a set menu for $49 a person. It comes with baguette with the best butter, salad, steak & unlimited frites. I also had a cocktail I enjoyed. This spot is great for a date night or special occasion. It has the coziest vibes.

Bar Blanc is a great example of a restaurant that does one thing and does it well: steak frites. Our experience last night was outstanding. This is the "little sister" restaurant to Little Sparrow downstairs. Both restaurants are French / French-influenced. The food, drink, service, and atmosphere at Bar Blanc were great -- everything we've come to expect of a Ford Fry restaurant (yes, this is yet another Ford Fry gem in Atlanta). For those unfamiliar, Fry is a successful local chef and restauranteur. I didn't know about Bar Blanc until we saw it when visiting Little Sparrow. It looked cool. The decor and ambiance are gorgeous. Bar Blanc and Little Sparrow share the same kitchen and staff. During our visit to Bar Blanc, I recognized one of our food runners; he was the same as one of our food runners at Little Sparrow. Bar Blanc's food is run out of an employees-only door outside of Little Sparrow and up the stairs. They say no reservations are needed, but I recommend them (OpenTable). This place was busy. Bar Blanc opened on November 14, 2023, shortly after Little Sparrow (October 2, 2023). Bar Blanc replaced JCT Bar upstairs and Little Sparrow replaced JCT Kitchen, Fry's first restaurant, downstairs. This is at Westside Provisions District. We parked in the Westside Provisions District garage at 1100 Howell Mill Rd. On April 19, 2025, parking cost $4.50 for 0-2 hours, $6.50 for 2-4 hours, and up. Another good place to park is in the parking lot next to the restaurant: ParkMobile Zone 225. Parking there costs $5.10 for 2 hours, $7.10 for 4 hours, and up. I like using the ParkMobile app for ParkMobile lots/garages since it's convenient -- license plate and payment info is saved, you can easily add time to your meter if needed, etc. Valet is also available in front of Bar Blanc and Little Sparrow, starting at $10 plus tip. The restaurants' entrances face the same direction - towards the parking lot in the back. Bar Blanc is prix fixe steak frites only: steak and French fries (the dish originating from Belgium and France). It comes with bread and butter, salad, steak frites and bernaise sauce. When we visited, the cost was $49.95 per person; food only. Drinks and dessert were extra. For us, the bread was a three-day fermented sourdough baguette from The General Muir. For those unfamiliar, The General Muir is a popular, local, New York-style Jewish deli. The bread came with salted grass-fed butter and olive oil. The salad was a lettuce and endive salad with wide, thin slices of aged ricotta and sherry vinaigrette dressing. It looked like the ricotta had been seasoned with fine black pepper and topped with diced chives. Both the bread and salad were fantastic. My wife commented that it might be the best restaurant salad she's ever had. I love salads and it's certainly up there among the best for me. It was so simple yet so satisfying. You just have to try it to see what I mean. The steak was New York strip steak. Back when the restaurant first opened in November 2023, Rough Draft Atlanta reported that the steak was prime ribeye. Our server Jacob recommended medium rare, which is what we generally prefer. The steak was served on a hot, sizzling plate and sliced into eight thick pieces (four per person). There was salt, thyme, and garlic on top. The steak was tender, juicy, and flavorful. It was so good on its own that it didn't need the bearnaise sauce. The bearnaise made the steak that much tastier. This was some of the best New York strip I've had anywhere in recent memory. The fries were incredible. They were thick cut, extra crispy, and delicious. I read that they're triple-cooked in beef fat. My wife requested ketchup and garlic aioli. Those weren't offered to us or printed on a menu anywhere - you just have to know. The fries and sauces were so good, we couldn't stop eating them. Tip: The bread and fries are unlimited at no extra charge. We liked the salad so much, we asked if it's available a la carte, but unfortunately, it's not. Bar Blanc has a sizable drink menu. Two pages are dedicated to red wine (French and American) and they have a wide selection of spirits. My wife and I had the following cocktails: Sazerac ($16), Kir Royale ($17), Tequila Daisy ($15), and Brandy Alexander ($16). All of the cocktails were terrific; strong, high quality, well made, well balanced, and really good. My favorite was the Sazerac, which was made with both cognac and rye whiskey. The Brandy Alexander was deliciously creamy and paired perfectly with our dessert. There were three desserts available to us: flourless chocolate cake, gateau nantais, and canales (small French pastries that look like mini Bundt cakes). We chose the gateau nantais ($9), which is a French pound cake made with almond meal. If you like pound cake, I recommend it. It had a wonderful texture, an appetizing hint of citrus, and a delectable, sweet, thin layer of icing on top. Service was excellent. Jacob took great care of us.

Fix menu of Steak, Frites, Salad, and Bread and perfect with a bottle of wine. Great seating outside and great service. Been there twice and can't wait to go back. It is very romantic and designed well. Simple menu but very delicious.

Bar Blanc is definitely one of my favorite West Midtown locations!! If you haven't been there are a few things you need to know - There are no reservations, and not many tables. Make sure you show up either ready to wait or lucky and get a table easily. There are only 2 6 tops inside the restaurant, so if you have a larger group, I would suggest coming close to opening to know you will have a spot - They only serve a set menu. Steak Frites is the menu and it is AMAZING!! You get a gorgeous delicious cut of steak, massive crispy fries, a simple salad, and a great baguette for $50 a person. They do have a cocktail menu and a few desserts as well, but the menu itself is set. I would highly recommend this spot. The service is great, and you can always count on being taken care of. If you want to impress someone take them here!

I was genuinely surprised by how good this place was! I had been to this sort of concept in France before and this honestly compares. It has a pre-fixe menu for $50 that consists of salad, fries, and steak. We came here early on a Saturday night around 5:45. It took us around 10-15 minutes to get seated but still decently quick. It's a small space so if it is busy you need to be prepared to wait. Salad and baguette was great especially the butter they served with the baguette. Then they brought the steak cooked at medium rare which was perfect. They bring fries to accompany and I was fully prepared to be disappointed with them since they weren't thin fries. However they tasted amazing and were crispy. I definitely would come back here!

I went for French Drip Fridays and it was phenomenal! The atmosphere is classy, easy parking and the service is excellent. The food was tasty not the best I've ever had but good!

New Favorite Restaurant... Wish more restaurants would do this... it's simple, Steak, Frits (fries), salad and warm delicious bread... Another genius spot from Ford Fry. It's $49.50 per person, unlimited "french" frits.... More than enough steak for me,.... the salad is a large portion. Biggest decisions you'll make.... how do you want your steak cooked? and when are you going back!? It's above LIttle sparrow in West Midtown, indoor restaurant is a sexy intimate spot... great for a date night or small group. Also have sat outdoors, wasn't loud and we went on a perfect fall night in ATL. Highly recommend!

Great service. Great Ambience. Delicious food. New York Strip was the cut of the night. I wasn't aware that the cut changed and usually I go for a nice ribeye but the New York strip was delicious. The salad, bread and butter were also delicious. The fries were crispy and fresh but could have used a dash more salt. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and me and my husband were stuffed before we could finish our first basket of fries. But social media misled me and I over heard the couple next to me say the same thing, I could have sworn I saw it advertised as bottomless steak and fries but just the fries are bottomless. We were stuffed anyway but just keep that in mind if you were thinking this was ayce steak.

Stopped in for dinner on a busy Saturday and unsurprisingly there was about a 1:30 wait. The restaurant has a small interior but makes good use of outdoor seating. We ended up waiting closer to an hour. Service was fine throughout the meal, not super notable either way. Our party ordered a dirty martini and highball, both of which were solid. The bread, butter, and salad came out first. The center of the bread was good but the ends were a bit hard. The salad was good but we got one small bowl for 3 people while other tables got 2 bowls for 4. Our salad also didn't have the same cheese on top either. You only get refills of the bread --not the salad. The steak was cooked well but had quite a bit of fat to trim off while the fries were crispy and tasty. I probably could have used a little bit more salt and pepper. You also get the choice of 3 sauces -- béarnaise, garlic aioli, and ketchup. The béarnaise was a little bland -- the garlic aioli was so much better. Overall, a not a bad meal but overpriced for what you get; some bread, a couple bites of salad, not very much steak after you take off the fat, and fries. The fries are bottomless but not exactly a super expensive item and at least personally I have a grease limit to how many fries I can eat. It's also probably more worth it to go with 4 people than 3. I had a fun evening with friends but would not necessarily recommend or be dying to return.

Parking indeed is NOT free!! You can scan a barcode on one of the light posts or text the number. They also offer valet parking.

Do they let you order the steak well done? I want to take my husband for his birthday but he won't eat "undercooked" steak?…

I see no menu on their site. What is the price for the food?

I sat at the bar and had a little light banter with the bartender who is a brother looking to be in his late 30's-early 40's. When I asked about two fruity cocktails from the menu, he flat-out said he wasn't going to make them. That alone was off-putting. Trying to move forward, I asked what he specialized in, and he said he'd "come up with something." I agreed--but very clearly stated: no rum, because my body does not react well to it. After watching him make drinks for people who ordered after me, he eventually handed me a cocktail I never even saw him prepare. That already raised a flag. I took a few sips, and sure enough--my stomach immediately started reacting the exact way it does when I've had rum. When I asked what alcohol he used, he said, "I don't even know." That response alone tells you everything you need to know. At that point, I reminded him I specifically said no rum. Instead of taking accountability, he tried to argue and backtrack. Let me be clear--when a customer tells you not to use a specific liquor, you don't ignore it, guess, or "forget." That's basic service and basic respect. This situation completely threw off my evening, as I had plans afterward and ended up feeling sick. To make matters worse, I reached out to management and received no response. That lack of accountability speaks volumes. At the end of the day, this wasn't just a bad drink--it was careless service. This staff does not prioritize customer care, and that's a problem. If you choose to visit, be very direct, pay close attention, and don't assume your requests will be respected.
