Our experience started off poorly. We were initially seated outside and waited 10-15 minutes without a single server acknowledging us. When two seats opened at the bar, we attempted to move, but the female host/manager told us they were reserved. A few minutes later, we were offered seats at the end of the bar and waited an additional 10-15 minutes without being acknowledged by any member of the staff. We eventually had to stop a manager just to get our first round of drinks after watching others be served,
When we were ready for a second drink, the experience only got worse. We repeatedly tried to get the attention of the bartender directly in front of us, but despite several attempts, we were blatantly ignored. Hoping someone else would help, I got up and walked farther down the bar to another bartender. Instead of assisting, she sharply responded, "No," and told me I needed to be seated at the bar to order. I explained that we were already seated at the bar, but she insisted that I go back to my seat to place the order with an attitude.
At that point, I had enough. Rather than continue trying to get basic service, I decided to close my tab, drop my Amex on the counter and speak with the manager on my way out. Her empathy felt disingenuous as she tried to explain the seats SHE sat us at weren't the best location after denying us the better bar seats.
I've had busy restaurant experiences before, and I understand that delays can happen. However, there is no excuse for customers to go half an hour without being acknowledged or to be repeatedly ignored when simply trying to order a drink. The lack of communication, attentiveness, and professionalism made for a very frustrating experience.
The only thing that is saving this from being a 1 star is the espresso martini was actually good but was over $20 which I wouldn't mind paying WITH GOOD SERVICE. read more
