This place "ROCKS", I love Ryan & Charles, always wonderful to be around. I love the drinks and ambience.

I was in town for a quick work trip and my team and I kicked things off here for dinner. I found them on Yelp a week or so before and ended up making a reservation on their website the next day. I'm so glad we listened to the other reviews and gave them a visit because our entire table of four had a lovely time. We started with drinks and I settled on a glass of wine. They had the exact type of sauvignon blanc that I wanted, which was an immediate win. As a group we settled on the whipped goat cheese and brussel sprouts for appetizers. The brussel sprouts came with bacon so I steered clear, but the others raved about them. The whipped goat cheese dip was also a nice choice with the garden veggies. Super creamy and refreshing. As for my entree I went with risotto of the week with salmon. It was absolutely delicious and I ate every bite. We had a birthday in the group so we of course had to get desserts. We shared the creme brulee and this super decadent chocolate cake. Both with fresh berries, love! The creme brulee was definitely my favorite of the two, but you can't go wrong. As for the space itself, it's beautiful. It gave off a sort of a modern farmhouse vibe with the wood and brick. With the twinkle lights and earthy touches bringing it all together. Me, my wife, and two of our friends (also married), came to The Ashford for dinner on a Wednesday not too long ago. We walked here from their home, as they are not too far at all. The Ashford is a pretty nice place to grab either brunch, lunch, or dinner! We came around 7, so we had dinner. You can sit outside or inside, the weather was really nice, but we just wanted to sit inside in the AC. I got a glass of the bieler rose, which was recommended by our server. My wife got the lavender daydreams cocktail, which was really good! We all shared the chicken spring rolls and the burrata bruschetta. Both were really good! The chicken spring rolls were in a rice paper, and not the usual wonton paper. I don't usually like the rice paper spring rolls, but these ones weren't too bad. For our main, me and my wife got the chicken schnitzel. They even split it on two different plates for us too, which was nice of them to do. It was SO GOOD. Pretty sure I inhaled mine! We also shared the mac and cheese and the mashed potatoes. The mac and cheese was soooooo good. It was a pimento mac and cheese, and had herbed breadcrumbs. Chef's kiss! The only reason this isn't getting 5 stars, is because our food took FOREVER to come out. There were some larger parties, so I do get it, but this was like 30-45 minutes forever. Also, I can't remember which dish, but one of the dishes me and my wife got was cold, so we asked to send it back to get a warmer version, which they did. They comped this off the bill, which was nice. That didn't bother me as much as the food coming out so late. Had that not been the case, I would've given this review 5 stars! I had the opportunity to visit The Ashford with my team and what a wonderful experience. I hadn't heard of The Ashford before our visit and if I had driven past on a regular day, I could have missed this gem. The Ashford is such a beautiful restaurant, dimly lit and quiet beyond the calm chatter among guests enjoying their meals. Upon entry, the beautiful bar and large open space are such a welcoming site. It didn't feel cramped or overwhelming, just a nice open space. If we didn't have plans for dinner, I'd definitely want to sit at the bar to take in the ambiance. I was a few minutes early but the hostess quickly sat me a table in the middle of the dining room. The dining space was just as welcoming as the bar entry, offering a floor plan that didn't require us all to be on top of each other like many restaurants. We had the good fortune to be assisted by Jaxson that evening and what a gem! He was so sweet and personable, he really made the night even better. We started with the whipped goat cheese and brussel sprouts before ordering our entrees. Let me say this - those were the BEST brussel sprouts that I have ever eaten. EVER. And I have eaten many, cooked many, all that. None of them stand up to those that I enjoyed at The Ashford. I'd eat them every single day if I could! The whipped goat cheese was also delicious, very fresh and when paired with the crudites and lavash? Fabulous. For dinner I opted for the bistro steak which came with an eggplant puree, fingerling potatoes and veggies. I'm so used to receiving more side dishes, lol, but honestly, I didn't need them after the apps and due to the thickness of the steak. The veggies and potatoes were delicious and made for a great combo with the puree and steak. The steak was delicious, just a taddd bit over my temperature request, but very good. Service was excellent from beginning to end thanks to Jackson. He was attentive, friendly, patient, and had some great recommendations as this was a first time dining here for all three of us at the table. The ambiance was cozy/moody, quiet (without being too quiet), and comfortable. I really like the vibe inside. We sat on the left hand side as you walk in at a table, but the bar area on the other side seemed like a cool vibe over there too. We ordered the fried brussels sprouts and the whipped goat cheese to start, and both were 10/10. The goat cheese was my favorite because it had the coolest almost marshmellow-y texture to it and was just divine. Goat cheese, pistachio and honey always pair so nicely together, and this dish was no exception. The Strawberry Fields cocktail was delicious and exactly as expected based on the description. The rose water was a nice addition! As my main dish, I went with the chicken schnitzel which was already really tasty. A big portion, and cooked perfectly so that it was extra crispy on the outside but still juicy on the inside. A favorite dish of mine to order anytime I see it on the menu, and this one definitely ranks as top 5 schnitzels I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying. I'm going to give this restaurant, bar 5 stars although my visit was short. I sat at the bar, enjoyed a cocktail and two glasses of wine and a delicious salad. Service was good. Salad was very fresh and tasty. I appreciated the interior. It was clean, well styled and the bathrooms were even very clean and nice. The food here is really good. I especially loved the beef empanadas, they brought me back from Sunday's happy hour because they were just that good. My server that day was Jackson, a young, pleasant man who was very attentive and welcoming. I returned again today (Tuesday) after a long day of work, specifically craving those empanadas. Unfortunately, my experience today was different. I don't remember my waitress's name, but she was not as welcoming, inviting, or attentive. I ordered sparkling water but received still water, which made me feel that attention to detail was lacking. I didn't make a fuss because I simply wanted to enjoy my dinner. I started with a salad, and by the time I decided to order an entrée, I was informed that the kitchen was already closed. Delicious! We had a dinner reservation for a party of 4 for 6:45 pm on Friday, 2/3/23. We made the reservation on Seated, an app where you earn money back on meals at certain restaurants (use my code erin2109 and we both get $10!). We got 3 appetizers between the 4 of us and we each got an entree. Here's what we got: - Fondue ($20): Delicious, but $20 is very pricey. - House-Made Ricotta ($12): Good, but it only came with 3 pieces of bread...why not 4? - Italian Meatball ($14): Good! - Salmon ($32): Suuuper good. I got the ravioli, but wish I had gotten the salmon. - Bistro Filet ($36): My friends said they liked this! - Winter Squash-Ricotta Ravioli ($28): Good, but didn't come with that much ravioli. So this is in a little area that has a lot of stuff around it so you can actually come here and then walk around and still bar hop or restaurant hop or whatever you're going to do. I only came for drinks, and of course that you know when the rest of my reviews, I'm only here for the old-fashions. Your fashions that they had, was pretty solid. I have no complaints. It was grown and it was very strong. The restaurant itself has an indoor and outdoor situation that you can actually go ahead and sit at. If it's a nice day, why would you want to sit outside! But the whole block is full of things like this that have patio areas. I fully support that! The service was okay. We sat down but actually at the wait for a while to give somebody to take her order. It wasn't the end of the world but I feel like you saw us and didn't want to come over and just agree us? That kind of sucks a little bit. But once we got that going and got the ball rolling, it was actually okay. It's not like it was full, but again it's not the end of the world. When I come back? I sure would. It's a neighborhood bar so I definitely would. But maybe I wouldn't sit where I sat so I guess I was faster. read more

My husband and I have aged out of the buckhead bars, but still enjoy going out later for drinks from time to time. The Ashford is definitely one of our favorite spots to go. While many places close at 10, the Ashford doesn't shut down until 11 making it a great spot for a nightcap or some dessert. We popped in on a Thursday at 9:00 and the space was lively but refined. There was live music that wasn't too loud and the bar was popping. Our server, Mayfield, took great care of us even though we were just getting drinks and dessert. The kitchen does cut down to just appetizers and dessert after 9:00, which is completely reasonable in our opinion. Last night I had the hazelnut crunch which was absolutely mouthwatering. We had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with the manager, Raj, who takes so much pride in making the restaurant a great destination for Brookhaven locals and all who come in. We love having this option available so close to our home, and are excited for our future visits! read more

Enjoyed a work happy hour and girls night at the Ashford. They've changed a few times finding their way as a wine bar and mainly shareable plates. On Thursday evenings they have live music which makes for great ambiance. Servers were lovely. Pasta and pizza were good as well. read more

Good food and extremely good dessert but probably the worst service I've ever had at a restaurant in my entire life. When I arrived it was not very busy and I was not greeted by a server at all. It took about 10 min for a sever to acknowledge me and then another 10 min for them to even take my order. I waited over 40 min for them to bring me a Caesar Salad. In total, spent about 2 hours there just trying to order, eat, and get my bill and pay. There were 4 couples sitting outside who ended up giving up and leaving since they were never served beyond getting menus and water. read more

We won't be coming back, unfortunately. There's just too many other options in the area that are much better. Five of us friends went for a weeknight dinner and drinks. Our server was very inattentive. He literally took everyone else's drink order but mine. I had to flag him down just to order a sweet tea, which they don't actually have. Like come on guys, this is Georgia. They have a very small menu, which I believe rotates. the hanger steak and the food was decent. Nothing to write home about. They also got our orders mixed up, which was remedied, no big deal. our waiter brought one check for the table, and then we asked him to split, which is when the food mixup was annoying. Our waiter had to go back and forth multiple times to figure it out. Nothing super consequential again. Then when we finally paid and were just finishing drinks, the restaurant seemed to burn popcorn to smoke us out? We're so glad we have this revamped spot in Brookhaven, they have a stellar list of delicious bites, upscale cocktails without the pretentiousness, and of course THE BEST wine list. The Ashford is a gem in our hood! We started with the new fall menu salad that is amazing with earthy greens, tart cranberries, tangy cheese, persimmon, crunchy, sweet candies pecans, and a fantastic cranberry vinaigrette. Then, opted for one of our favorite dishes, the Salmon dip. It is TO DIE FOR! Smoked salmon in a light creamy dill sauce with crunchy cabbage on the side! The cracker brings it all together! John loves a good Salumi, which is always the right choice. They have a great selection of meats and cheeses, but whatever the jam is on the side is spicy and sweet. I want this at home. We also enjoyed a cocktail or two, like this 1902 Daquiri is sassy sweet then tangy in the end. Tiki Heaven! Plus, the new fall drink the Fall Manhattan! It is warm and sweet up front and then tangy and boozy on back with an array of subtle fall spices. We tried two main dishes, the salmon and the pork chop. The Salmon is well seasoned and perfectly cooked with a hearty saffron, sticky, rice and a fall stew of sweet potato, plantain, yucca Brazilian spiced. Yum. The pork chop is savory, thick and juicy with a fantastic smoked cherry chutney that gives it a sweetness, spicy, and smoke! The squash and potatoes are doused in the sauce, yum. For dessert we went for the Pistachio cake, which is warm and moist dotted with earthy pistachios (not crunchy) but just for flavor. My husband surprised me for our anniversary and made reservations here. I hadn't even heard about the restaurant and hadn't eaten at Pour, the restaurant that was here before it. The bar was buzzing when we arrived at 7:10 pm and the tables were pretty full but not overly so. Ambience: it's more a neighborhood restaurant than a white table cloth type place. The decor was simple - my style - and tasteful. The only thing I would say is that it got progressively louder as our food arrived. It didn't bother us but you may want to be seated in the patio of you want less noise. Wine: the wine menu was ok. Nice selections but not too extensive. They brought us complimentary sparkling wine for our special occasion. Service: attentive without being interruptive. It's a fine balance and our waiter was pretty awesome. Food: we ordered the salmon and flatbread appetizer. It was a little fishy and not my favorite. Both Matt and I ordered the steak with barley and loved it! Perfect portions and I appreciate a kitchen that understands and cooks steak to medium and to rare. I love my steak rare and most restaurants never take me seriously and cook it the way I like. So glad the chef did! The star of the meal was the pistachio cake which was moist and because it was warmed, simply melted in your mouth. We will be back! read more

Literally just walked in late on a Friday night worn out from travel. We were very casually dressed, which was fine. But the local patrons are not as casual as we are. Keep that in mind next time. I visited The Ashford recently for a private birthday party for a friend; his family had reserved the bar area. It was a nice size space for a gathering of 20-30 people. The decor is modern and it has an inviting layout with separate bar and dining spaces; customer style seems to be nicer casual dress. As for food, the hors d'oeuvres were excellent (the bite-sized chicken and waffles were my personal favorite). From the bar, the drinks were well made and I enjoyed my old fashioned very much. Service was very good with staff regularly making the rounds to ensure everyone was well taken care of. I didn't stay for dinner, but after enjoying the space and small plates I'd definitely come back for a full meal. Parking is easy with ample spaces behind the restaurant, which is in the middle of the development fronting the main road. The are several walkable options in the area, but I definitely recommend giving The Ashford a try. read more

We were one of the first to walk in the place, so why did our main course take so long? There is a great bartender who should not do double duty as a waitress. None of the wait staff looked out for each other. Otherwise, it would not have taken an hour to get that main course. You can tell when your wait is unusually long. The music was great! It was the top notch. They need to work on food service! I am sure I won't be back. We left but at least got to chat with the band lead! She was awesome! Excellent food and service on my most recent visit. I got the bistro steak and it was incredible. It came with creamed spinach, which I'm not a huge fan of, and it was excellent. The Ashford is a great local spot that everyone should try out. They have great cocktails and killer food. They have an upscale atmosphere without the crazy high end prices. read more

Great dinner last night. Came in around 5:30 for dinner. Our waiter was attentive and helpful with the menu. The inside is trendy and vibey - great spot for wine and appetizers. We started with the shrimp artichoke dip. It was quite tasty. We also got the pork bao buns, the whipped ricotta, the meatball and the chicken. The bao came with two and were great to split with another person. Very flavorful! The ricotta was pretty tasty as well. It came with a good serving of ricotta and bread and a tomato compote of some sort. The meatball was very savory and delicious. It came with some polenta as well. Brought my family to this restaurant for what was supposed to be a Sunday birthday brunch celebration, but turned out to be an absolute disaster. Took 30 minutes for a server to come to our table, an hour before they took our food order, and another 45 minutes for an incomplete brunch order to show up, complete with rockhard eggs and melted cheese instead of hollandaise (because they had run out and refused to tell us). One person in our party of six never got their food at all. The owner (who was standing around throughout this entire dumpster fire episode) never came over to the table to check on us or any of the other patrons who were experiencing similar problems). Truly the worst restaurant experience I've had in 10 years, as I've eaten at dive bars that have better service. Stay away. read more

Yikes. Had such high hopes for this place. Really wanted to support and make this a routine neighborhood spot. I rarely write reviews and when I do, they're almost always positive - but this place was such a fail. Positives: The service (and specifically our server) was WONDERFUL. Drinks were fantastic. I'd go back for drinks but absolutely nothing more. Cons: Wow. The food and prices need an honest and serious overhaul. This place will not last if they can't figure it out. $14+ (might've been $17) for ONE small meatball. I literally laughed when it came out. This has to be a joke (it's not). $14 for a TINY tasteless beet cut up into 8-10 tiny pieces. I thought how can this get any worse (it did). The "half chicken" (priced well over $20+) was a TINY dehydrated, sad looking piece of poultry over a bed of crunchy tasteless terrible cooked slop of "grits." The French Onion dip was ok but the portion size was offensive and it's served with.....wait for it....bagged LAYS POTATO CHIPS. What. Is. Happening. Here!?!? The experience was so offensive we asked for our check, paid in full, left (starving and nearly $200 out) - and went to a nearby restaurant to......have yet ANOTHER dinner. Again, it PAINS me to drag this place but do not waste your time or money unless you're stopping for cocktails on your way to a real restaurant.
