My experience at Brassica was great. We had both brunch and dinner there, and had a great time. The chef even came out to see how we enjoyed our meals and made recommendations to us which was so nice. Our service as a whole was great, with the entire team being attentive to us. I saw a picture of crab cakes benedict on Yelp before we came to brunch, but didn't see it on the menu, and they still made it for me upon request and it was sooooooo good! The ambiance is also very nice and close to the spa which we likewise visited. Definitely recommend Brassica.
Solid 5-star establishment inside the Waldorf Astoria hotel. From the moment you walk in through service and food, coffee, Brassica is delicious and customer focused. I only had coffee and pastry spread but everything was delicious. In particular, cheese and fruit croissant was to die for. Our server Mya was attentive and pleasant and even provided few tips on what to do over this particular weekend in Atlanta. You gotta love that!!!!
We've eaten here for several meals while staying at the Waldorf Astoria Buckhead location. It's alright. Everything is clean as expected and food tastes good. I wasn't exactly impressed nor would I go out of my way to eat here if it were not because I was staying at the hotel.
Wonderful brunch spot ! My smoked salmon eggs Benedict were delicious, served was polite and attentive. The atmosphere was great and definitely will recommend to anyone who is looking for a delicious brunch!
Brassica is located in the heart of BUCKHEAD, not too far from the Lenox Mall. I was able to have an opportunity to have dinner for my bestfriend's birthday dinner. We were in a private dining room in the back of the restaurant. We had an opportunity to order drinks, have amazing food, and listen to music. Fellowshipped with one another and they even honored her mother with a signature cocktail. I'll have more detail details below, but I would love to view at this restaurant again, possibly sit at the bar because it seems like it was popping over there. Oh yeah, we had a whole entire photo shoot too. The night was amazing. Happy birthday to my Bestie love always and thanks to the amazing staff at Brassica! I ordered ROASTED CHICKEN BREAST, BUTTERNUT SQUASH RAVIOL- asher blue cheese cream, sage, cashew, croutons. SOOOOO FREAKIN GOOD! Brassica is situated in the Waldorf Astoria in Buckhead (used to be the Mandarin Oriental). As you can expect, everything about the ambiance screams elegance. Heck, upon walking through the hotel entrance, there was a (very talented) harpist going to town on a beautiful harp....and the euphonious music could be heard through the dining room. Our server was excellent. She walked us through the options and explained that Brassica has a Haitian chef with his own unique style. We simply had brunch and enjoyed the egg white wellness omelette. Quite tasty (albeit a bit expensive at $26). It did come with a small, delectable rectangular hash brown to boot. We also got the crab cake benedict. It was smothered in hollandaise sauce, but other than that, it also tasted good. Separately: "brassica" happens to be a cool sounding word. Definition: a plant of a genus that includes cabbage, turnip, Brussels sprout, and mustard.
My husband and I came here for our first wedding anniversary last weekend. We brought our nine month old and had the best time the staff was incredibly friendly and the food was amazing. Rashad , Ms. Margaret and Dana made our night incredibly special with their amazing customer service great conversations and interaction with our baby. Additionally, it doesn't hurt that the restaurant is absolutely gorgeous and offers convenient valet parking at Waldorf Astoria . Our food was delectable. The chef even came out to greet us as well. 1 million star experience thank you to the Brassica team for making our first wedding anniversary so special.
We both ordered medium rare steaks. Both overcooked. We did order room service. We were told 35 min. It took over an hour. We ordered after 4, and before 5, so I wouldn't think it would be too busy. Would not order from again.
Halfway rating only due to the one dish I had that just didn't cut it. The service was prompt and genuinely very kind. All dishes besides the pork or boar-I can't remember didn't lean in my favor as the tomato base and meat flavor didn't blend well, but that is my palette. Everything else was fabulous.
Brassica is the brasserie-inspired flagship restaurant inside of Waldorf Astoria with a southern twist and a focus on local, seasonal ingredients. I chose to celebrate my birthday with 10 friends over High Tea. High Tea is served at the Brassica every Saturday and Sunday at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm. I had a lovely pre-tea beverage at the bar. The Bavaria was created at the bar and is a rum-forward beverage with homemade banana-coconut syrup that immediately places you on a beach in Puerto Rico. My party had the Buckhead tea, which consists of a tea selection, tea sandwiches, petite sweets, a scone, and a glass of sparkling wine or cider. The price point of the tea sets vary based on beverage upgrades, with the top tier adding caviar service. We loved the long dramatic table in the Solarium with the harpist playing throughout our tea. They are in the process of finishing renovations to the Solarium. The room currently is a bit stark and lacks the fancy of a tea room. High Tea is one of those things you should experience at least once in your life, as it is quite the vibe. We loved the long dramatic table with the harpist playing throughout our tea. The tea, sandwiches, and sweets were delicious. I especially enjoyed the smoked salmon sandwich with dill cream, cucumber sandwich, prosciutto sandwich, macaron, and pecan eclair. I enjoyed my experience and will definitely return back to Brassica for their regular menu (the last time I was there was for a staycation during Covid when they had just opened for limited service).
My family and I went to the Waldorf Astoria for a birthday dinner and she was our experience! We came in the evening and got sat down at a large table because we had a large party! Lighting and the music was playing in the background from the lobby or the bar I'm assuming, but it wasn't distracting. Let's just get down to the food. This is the kind of restaurant, where the entrées at the dishes are described very well on the menu, but they don't deliver in person. The seasoning was lacking, the presentation was OK, but the texture was not there. When I order trout and you and it arrives with skin on it, I'm expecting that skin to be crispy. It was not. The vegetables underneath didn't have a texture of their own. It kind of presented as a succotash, and I just don't think that was the right pairing for this fish, especially if it didn't have any crisp on it. The grouper was OK. Again no texture. Just quite mushy, and honestly boring to the palate. I wouldn't recommend that dish. We ordered the escargot and our waitress did let us know that it doesn't come out pretty, and it's not what you would expect. Traditionally when you order escargot, it comes in the shell they give you the proper paired fork for you to retrieve the escargot out of the shell, and it comes with a bit of broth, and Bread on the side for you to dip. It was the show, which was strange. And it was put onto the toast but it's dry? Very weird. And the steak honestly came at the right temperature, it was made in a cast-iron pan, so there was a bit of crisp on it, but then the menu stated that they were duck fat fries. When I read duck fat fries, I'm expecting fries, made in duck, fat, flavorful, salt on there and pepper. That was not what we received. Our waitress us know that Duckfat referred to the thickness of the fry. The way to the fry was cut... I've never heard that before in my life maybe I just am not familiar with it but I just feel like they could have simply said they were thick cut fries because that's what they were. I ordered shuffle fries instead and she let me know that there was Parmesan on the top of those fries, as is customary. The meal took so long to come out, most of the food was not warm, and added to the fact that there was no Parmesan on the fries. Our waitress let us know that the kitchen told her this at the last minute when the food was ready. Again, not quite sure why they set her up that way, and also if that was the case, she should have presents or the food and let me know that there was no Parmesan available and offered a substitute. All in all I get this experience a two out of 10 simply because our waitress did her best but honestly, the kitchen set her up for failure. I think they definitely need to take a second and taste their menu and improve.

I had a staycation at The Waldorf Astoria and decided to be lazy and just book dinner at the inhouse restaurant. BEST decision I made. From the moment I entered the restaurant until the time I left the staff truly made me feel special( It was my birthday) ! The staff even took the time to sign a birthday note for me! I have previously dinners at Brassica for breakfast but this was my first dinner experience. I started out with a mocktail called Hummingbird. The ingredients included matcha, coconut and lime. It was as refreshing as it sounds. As starters I had the cornbread and the yellow corn bisque. For my entree I had the flounder and ice cream for dessert! I loved everything, with the exception of the flounder. I am a seafood lover, but was not impressed with this flounder dish. Brassica is worth checking out. The service is top tier, ambience is classic, and the food is solid! read more
Stopped in on a Thursday morning and the stars are for our servers, they were so sweet and helpful! There weren't a lot of ppl there just maybe 1 or 2 other stragglers. Our table had 5 ppl. This was the first day they put this new menu out. I'll be honest we weren't really fans of the food. The shrimp and grits had a full layer of a sharp cheese on top, which was just way too much we all thought. I love me some cheese in my grits too but that was just overkill because it's also cheese throughout the grits. Also the ribeye? Both my friend and I didn't like ours and we love us a ribeye. It didn't even taste like a ribeye, more like top sirloin or NY strip. The Juice? Yuck. I make my juices at home and no additives and it still doesn't taste nasty like this one lol Shrimp & Grits (it's the cheese, remove some and we have a deal, I enjoyed the shrimp and I hate shrimp) Ribeye? Hated it. Give me a good quality ribeye and we'll talk. This gave sirloin from Waffle House or something, no shade. read more
I ended up eating here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner during my stay multiple times. The food was okay overall, but dinner with a large group was a bit frustrating...it took about 1 hour and 15 minutes for the first course to come out. Three stars mainly due to the slow dinner service.Mohammed waited on us a couple of times, he was great and really made the experience pleasant. read more

The food and service was exceptional. The manager Dana Johnson ensured that every detail of our experience was the best. Our server Alexis was extremely helpful and very friendly. The ambiance is restful and comfortable. Our food was delicious and worthy of a bucket list item! read more

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE. Attended the Christmas Day five-course tasting menu, cost $175 per person (paid upfront during the reservation). It was a complete disappointment from start to finish. First, our reservation was for 7:00 PM. We arrived promptly at 6:55, only to be told by the front desk hostess lady--who didn't even bother to greet us--that our table wasn't ready. We ended up WAITING 32 MINUTES past our reservation time with no explanation or apology offered. What is the point of making a reservation if it isn't honored? Having dined at many upscale restaurants in Atlanta, I have never experienced such poor service. When we inquired about the delay, a staff member simply stated they were "preparing the tables," with no acknowledgment of the inconvenience. Once seated, the poor service continued. A server lady in red silently brought the first dish, Truffle Potato Pavé, without any explanation or even basic introduction. Just silently placed in front of us and left. It felt unprofessional and unwelcoming. As for the food, the portions were shockingly SMALL and the flavors UNDERWHELMING. Truffle Potato Pavé was bland, Smoked Swordfish was bland and flavorless, and the Wagyu was mediocre. Both the fish and the Wagyu were served cold. The only enjoyable element was the duck in the Duck Salad, but even that dish was flawed--the greens in the salad were not fresh. And the portion size was still far too small to feel satisfying. For a total of five dishes, the $175-per-person price tag was outrageous considering the poor quality of both the food and the service. We left the restaurant hungry, frustrated, and disappointed. This experience was NOT worth the price, the time, or the frustration. CANNOT recommend this restaurant. read more
Zero complaints! We came last minute on a Friday night with a group of ten and were able to get a reservation within the hour. We had a private room and the decor is gorgeous, live music and all. Expansive menu, including options and accomodations for all of our restrictions and dietary needs, plus mocktails and an extensive wine list. Can't remember our waitresses name but she was fantastic. That rum punch? Good and dangerous. I'll take 3 next time. The yellow corn bisque? Chef's kiss. That Duroc Pork Chop? It was so tender and really well-seasoned. Would definitely order it again. Only thing I didn't love of my meal was the brie mac and cheese. I did not enjoy it and the flavor + mouth feel was not pleasing to me. Our server was the BEST though! He gave drink and food recommendations, checked on us very frequently, asked about our dining occasion (friend's upcoming wedding), etc. He was so personable and really added to our experience! I came here for my birthday not really knowing much about the place, but the menu looked pretty good. Brassica exceeded expectations. The decor and atmosphere were really nice. Service was top notch. Food was outstanding. We had the sauteed frogs legs and the corn bisque. Our waitress let us know that the corn bisque was the most popular starter on the menu, and while the frogs legs were good, I wish I had ordered a second corn bisque. Make sure you try it. Rather than get our own entrees we decided to have one of the shared plates and ordered the rack of venison. The venison was out of this world - prepared perfectly and not the slightest hint of gaminess that people sometimes expect from venison. And it was a ton of food for two people. From looking at the couple next to us, the shared plates do seem to be the way to go, because their ribeye looked ginormous. The cocktail options were also quite good as well. I recommend having a Roman Punch if you like rum-punch-type drinks. Just like I wish I'd ordered the corn bisque, my wife wish she'd ordered the Roman Punch. Brassica is on the pricey side for some, but they do give you a lot of food for your money. I'd say you definitely can't go wrong taking someone there for a special occasion. read more

There's complimentary valet parking. The space is small and intimate - cute for catching up with friends, date night, or spending time with a few family members. We dined for brunch and the server was polite and friendly. Unfortunately, the service was a little slow given the small number of patrons. We ordered from the cocktail menu and it took about 20+ minutes for (3) drinks. The food was delicious but overpriced (I encourage you to ask the server how many ounces the steak is before ordering). My visit was very pleasant. D'Anna the bartender made me some amazing drinks and didn't miss a beat. I had the roasted salmon with jasmine rice. Everything was delicious. Not a big fan of the spinach dip, but it was decent. The ambiance was very relaxed and luxurious. read more
A delicious breakfast served with superior elegance. The waitstaff proved exceptionally friendly and dedicated to friendly service. Our meals arrived without an excessive wait. The restaurant looks and feels southern contemporary. I will dine here again when lodging at the Waldorf Astoria. read more

My friend invited me to her business dinner at Brassica because some of her friends raved about this restaurant inside of the Waldorf Astoria in Atlanta. I live in Atlanta and know most of the restaurants in the area but had never heard of it or been so I was excited to go and try it out. It's a beautiful, intimate restaurant that would definitely be a good date night spot. The service is superb. Our server was extremely attentive and gave excellent recommendations throughout our dining experience. I wish I could remember his name because he deserves a shout out (AA male served party of 6 on 11/13)! Needless to say her friends were right. The food was absolutely delicious! Sorry I didn't take photos of everything but trust me, you won't be disappointed. read more

Wouldn't come here if I wasn't staying at the hotel. Very overpriced. Corn bisque was tasty. My $24 salad was tasty. Blueberry gratin dessert was terrible but chocolate dessert was a winner! Restaurant is very small but dining room was comfortable. Our server was Mohammed and he was great. read more

Update May 21st. Post Mother's Day. I guess ... bread basket includes Danish... I guess it's brunch time. My go-to dish: shrimp and corn crowder! Has a little spice and kick. Reminds you of NOLA! No beignets here. My goto dish: shrip- corn chowder. Omgoodness!!!! I'm so full you could stick my with a pin. The hot baguettes didn't help with soft butter. 4 of them, and the last one was the dish cleaner, getting that last drop read more

Marble and brass extend out from the warm wood bar, dotted with happy hour patrons enjoying fancy drinks and small bites. To the side the dining room is packed with warm leather booths juxtaposed to the orange and blue ornate plates and the slats in the wall that peer into the hall next to the restaurant. On the back end, the décor changes to a modern black with white tables and dark napkins. This beautiful spot is Brassica, the opulent French-Inspired Southern fare restaurant nestled in the lobby of the Waldorf Astoria Buckhead. They put just the right spin on traditional French and southern dishes, while offering upscale cocktails and an extensive wine list. Brassica does everything well, including their cocktail and wine offerings. For the cocktails we tried the fancy James Bond inspired Vesper. Shaken not stirred, botanical gin, vodka, and the right amount of lemon make for a boozy, strong, floral, smooth cocktail where the flavor profile changes as you drink. If boozy isn't want you're looking for, go for the Roman Punch, it's like drinking tea on the porch! Lemony, tangy, and sweet, it's smooth as you can get. That might be dangerous. Plus, they have a great wine list that pairs with the great French-inspired southern menu. We tried the Licia Albarino from Spain and a Cabernet that were both delicious and went so well with the dishes we got, the Trout, and the Roasted Rack of Venison. For starters, you can never go wrong with a solid Beef Carpaccio, tender and savory with tangy olives, earthy capers, and the sharpness of the cheese and tangy onion. A great bite when you roll it all up into one. We paired that with something we don't see every day on menus, frog legs! The Sauteed Frog Legs are deconstructed and taken off the bone, and surround a crunchy, buttery toast with roasted garlic on top. Then underneath a fantastic creamy, earthy parsley cream adds the right amount of balance to the tender frog, buttery, crunchy toast, and sharpness of the garlic. This mix and match dish is a keeper. Of the sides, we are in love with the Butternut Squash Jambalaya. This one is an experience all on its own, served in a smoked dome and the smoke released at the table. The smokiness is prevalent in the dish and pairs with the lightly spicy Cajun spices and creamy rice then contrasts the hearty and earthy butternut squash. Beyond that we had to opt for the Mac N Cheese that is served in a pot. It is creamy brie and tender macaroni all topped with a layer of sharp cheese. The chef surprised us with a pair of Little Gem salads that is one part crunchy with pecans and apples and one part earthy of the greens. The best part is the buttery, tangy brown butter vinaigrette. It goes so well with the overall flavor profile of the salad. This is so good you may want to lick the plate. Another fun surprise we can talk about here is the cornbread that comes before the meal. It's thick, dense, sweet, and savory bread that's topped with a beautiful, warm brown butter sauce that give off hints of caramel. It's some of the best cornbread you can get in Atlanta. It almost is like a dessert! We can't stop thinking about this stunning Roasted Rack of Venison shared plate. Have you seen venison presented so perfectly? It is tender and savory with a balanced amount of seasoning. On top boozy, sweet, and tart marinated cherries marry with the meat for an explosion of flavor, then underneath creamy and smooth mashed potatoes and savory, earthy Brussels pair with a savory, meaty sauce that just knocks the flavors out of the park. This is the best Venison we've EVER had! Go try it! The other main that we got is the Pecan Rainbow Trout. It is tender and flaky fish with a light crunch of the fish skin on the top. The pecans dotted on top roll into the creamy corn and sauce below for a warm, crunchy, overall great bite that is popping with flavor. This is a light dish that goes so well with the heftiness of the Venison. To finish out our meal, we had to try the Oven Roasted Georgia Apple. It's a whole cooked apple, skin on, that's stuffed with sweet apricots, topped with a sweet, caramel sauce, spicy cinnamon, and paired with a cool dollop of ice cream. The uniqueness of the crunchy apple skin, sweetness of the apricots and creaminess of the sauce and ice cream make for the perfect pair. This was epic. read more

My wife and I frequented Brassica during our stay this past weekend. The bar staff is super friendly and make you feel like they've known you forever. We enjoyed honey lemon pepper wings as an appetizer; chicken and waffles and the ribeye steak and eggs for brunch on Saturday. The food can use a bit more seasoning.
