Oysters (the jalapeño sauce was the in the small bottle)

Still 5 stars. My coworkers chose Carmel for my birthday dinner, and it was a great choice--especially since some of them had never been before. We started with the milk bun, mussels, Bibb salad, and a mix of roasted and Rockefeller oysters (note: the bacon can't be removed). For entrées, we ordered two red fish and two whole lobsters, paired with truffle mashed potatoes, roasted potatoes, and broccolini as sides. Everything was well prepared and enjoyable. Dessert was a complimentary mango sorbet, which was a nice birthday touch. We also had several drinks: a lychee martini (clearly noted on the menu with added raspberry liqueur), a bourbon-based cocktail, a lychee mocktail, Hugo spritz, and French press coffee. Most of the drinks were solid and well executed. The ambiance is warm and inviting, and the staff overall is very kind. Our server was just okay, not bad, just not a standout but everyone has off nights. Despite that, I would absolutely recommend dining here. Great atmosphere, good food, and a solid spot for celebrations.

I celebrated Galentine's Day with a group of ladies at Carmel. The ambiance is very nice and gives coastal vibes. I had a Lychee Martini it was really good. The host ordered cavier fries for the table as an appetizer. The fries were really good. I had the roasted chicken, it was very flavorful. The chimichuri really helped elevate the flavor. I shared an order of the collard greens and mashed potatoes with one of my friends. The sides were good as well.

Carmel has all the bones for something great, and I want to start this off by saying I will be back to give a second chance! I also want to add that we did come on their Oyster Bar opening night so that could have added to some of the hiccups. Carmel is gorgeous aesthetic wise with warm, brown tones all over that give a fusion of Tulum + Paris Cafe vibes which is perfect for the Atlanta backdrop. Let's do a general review of everything and then I'll get more specific on some highlights/areas of improvement: Service 9/10: our server was the best part! He was honest when we asked for input and every recommendation he gave was absolutely delicious bites/sips for the night. Only docked a point because it was slightly slow but not to any of his fault. I think it was just a higher pressure night & kitchen + bar were a little backed up. Food 7/10: some wins, but a few small issues with some of the items Drinks 9/10: amazing drinks despite the wait! Tried a few and each shined in its own way. Not too strong but I appreciated the flavor profiles and overall presentation. As far as access, Carmel is in the Buckhead shops so easy for rideshare service drop off and there is a parking deck + valet options near, so plenty of options! No to more details on what we enjoyed for the night: * Half Dozen Raw (chefs choice) 10/10: these were smaller but tasted fresh, and were mild in brine flavor so very palatable for anyone even if they don't care for oysters * Seafood Tower 7/10: So this was slightly underwhelming in portion size and general flavor. Shrimp and oysters were great, but the lobster & scallop crudo just weren't great. Specifically the crudo was super salty which I did infirm the manager. Maybe some citrus would have brightened it but it's hard to come back from "too salty" than not salty enough. * Octopus 9/10: delicious! Best bite of the night for sure. Beyond flavorful with a nice Smokey flavor. * Carmel's Burger 8/10: the burger was fantastic! Great portion and amazing temp on the meat. The caviar fries were okay, and extremely salty as well so although I would have given the burger a ten, that's what brought it down a bit for me. Blackened Okra 10/10: I love okra! What can I say. Amazing charred flavor and hands down an underrated side! Drinks: Prosecco: 10/10 - classic, not much to say Lychee Martini 8/10: not the very best I've ever had in the city, but tasted good, just very light on the spirit. Mar Azul 10/10: favorite cocktail of the night! Love the creaminess from those vanilla notes All in all, I would definitely stop by Carmel for some of their sides and small plates & maybe a cocktail but maybe not my full meal just because it can be slightly hit or miss.

Carmel was a great experience for me! Our server was great, service was quick, and the food was absolutely delicious. The interior is also decorated beautifully, with dimmed lighting but not too dark you can't see. We had the seafood tower, branzino, and a passionfruit based dessert. They also have unlimited raw oysters, with a great oyster selection. For drinks I had their lychee martini which had a fruity addition, which was very yummy. There is a paid parking deck nearby, as well as valet for parking. I definitely would come back again!

Stopped in on a whim. Glad we did! Just in time for Happy Hour (4-6 daily). Sat at the bar with Mark. Drinks were on point! Vibe was perfect. Chris was managing and most attentive. The restaurant was clean, that's important to us. The food was great! Everyone was friendly. We really enjoyed the place and will be back. They validate parking so take your parking ticket with you.

I'm not sure who's idea it was to have the heat on when it was 85 degrees in Atlanta today but it was an uncomfortable heat. Some tables had fans on them, we asked for some and never got it. Ambiance reminds me of Tulum in a way, very clean lines and neutal colors. The food was petite, I show a picture of my food below which consisted of 3 mussels, 2 prawns, a slither of fish, 4 cherry tomatoes, a piece of fennel, and 1 slice of onion. I believe the best thing I had was the actual side of potatoes. I didnt show their version of Mac and cheese, as the waiter called it, because we sent it back. The lychee martini isn't standard, I would give it a 5 out of 10. Throughout the night the service continued to go down, started out great but ultimately the waiter wasn't attentive, waited 20mins for him to bring the cake and another to return uncut cake, less than 5 for a birthday party. I cant say I would go back but hoping your experience is better.

My experience at Carmel was great from start to finish. The service was excellent, love the restaurant's vibe and style. Feels like people dont talk about Carmel enough when it comes to that area but its top tier. The Rockerfeller oysters were so good! I also had the lasagna and loved it! Oh the bread too and great drinks. Will be back!

I've dined here several times and each time is a great experience! Rather sitting at the bar or dining at a table, the service is always great. They have a great selection of oysters and tasty drinks. Whenever I'm in the area, I'll always make a stop here!

I enjoyed an amazing brunch on a Saturday afternoon. This place is beautiful inside and out. So warm and cozy. Our waitress Morgan was really sweet and attentive. I started with the blackberry refresher non alcoholic drink it was really tasty. I ordered the lobster roll and French toast. The roll was kinda small but absolutely delicious. It had just enough meat and the fries were nice and salty. The French toast was amazing. It was a nice thick challah topped with a cream cheese sauce. The combination tasted like cinnamon roll. It was so delicious! We were one of the few at brunch so if you'd like to try something new I highly recommend this place.

I visited Carmel Woodfire Seafood and Oyster Bar in Atlanta with a group of friends--there were six of us--and we had a great experience from start to finish. Our server (I think her name was Michelle or Melissa) was fantastic. She had a great sense of humor, gave thoughtful suggestions, and made everything sound so good, from the cocktails to the dinner options to the oyster selections. The food definitely lived up to the way she described it. Everything was fresh and flavorful, and the milk buns are an absolute must-try--soft, buttery, and just perfect. The atmosphere made it a great spot for a night out. It's not a cheap meal, but it's an oyster bar, so that's to be expected. I'd absolutely come back without hesitation.

Carrots, Roasted Chicken, Whole lobster

We had such an amazing dinner Sunday evening. The restaurant was not too busy (which we loved) and we were sat right away. In fact, the host offered us a nearby booth which was available for our comfort. The inside ambiance is beautiful and chic, perfect for date nights. Our server was very helpful and friendly as we navigated the menu. We ordered espresso martinis to start which were very good. We started with the octopus as a starter, which to our surprise was fried instead of grilled, still very good, served with their crispy potatoes. Their oysters were very carefully handled and clean. Our favorite dish was the roasted chicken with the side of carrots though the whole lobster was very good. The flavors on this chicken dish were truly divine, the roasted generous portions of chicken with the cilantro-garlic mojo on top was the most memorable. We loved the richness and sweetness of the carrots that kept that crunch from the roasting. This is the best main dish with side dish pairing we could have opted for. We left the restaurants feeling satisfied and wanting to return. Definitely a must try!

Delicious! Grilled Shrimp to start followed by the Redfish, grilled carrots and crispy potatoes. Really enjoyed this food, and very nice service. Had a cozy corner banquet spot. Enjoyed Carmel - would be very happy to go back!

Lychee Martini and Margarita

Located in Buckhead Village and there is a parking garage there but you could also valet for a fee. When I walked in, I was greeted by a hostess that walked me to my table. Love the menu style and David was our server for the day. He provided some honest recommendations that met our needs. To start, I love oysters so that was ordered first before anything. I would rate the oysters 7/10 only because of the breadcrumbs on the Rockefeller style was a bit much but overall, tastes good and decent size. To drink I ordered the lychee martini which was a 10/10 for taste and presentation. I also ordered the lobster roll as an entree. For the size, it wasn't worth the amount, but the taste was good and also the shoestring fries that came with it was amazing. The vibe is nice and neutral and they also have outdoor seating if you choose. I will definitely be back but would love to try their dinner menu and other seafood options on the menu.

This year the drinks were blah, the food was mediocre, the vibe was non-existent, and the service was the bare minimal. I have been to other pop-ups this year and would recommend any of them over this include Rreal Taco down the street or Hamp & Harry's or even just picking up the Grinch Happy Meal at McDonald's. Pros: Parking onsite, Reservations (sort of), friendly host (best part of the experience) and server (but absent), nice decorations. Cons: Expensive, boring drinks, overcooked and poorly plated food, not a lively nor festive vibe, poor communication and customer service. Even though this is the only pop-up pre-charging for their event and it was significantly more than a year ago, we liked having a booked time and it was a great experience previously so we booked in early November, but within an hour of booking, we had to adjust the time via OpenTable to a couple hours later. Faster forward to two days before our booking. Confirmations comes in and we notice it is the old time. Called, left messages, send messages through multiple means. Zero response. Called the next day and finally reached the manager who said that the time we wanted wasn't available even though it was the day before so took a later option at 730. Arrive on time but they don't have a table. While waiting they seat us in another area and offer extras since they are late...but they bring chips and salsa 30 mins after 730 when we were supposed to be seat 10-15 mins after we arrive. No waters or anything. Bring complementary margaritas at 810 but only 4 and there are 6 of us. The waitress was dismissive and there was no one else in the bar when we got there. Finally seated at 830 even though they are timed reservations and said they were going to be asking people to wrap within 15 mins of 730. Food was so basic and slapped on the table. Drinks were not festive at all. Ran out of hot chocolate. No festive cups or anything. It was the most mediocre experience I have had. Skip it!

The Mac n cheese was classic and I was surprised that I enjoyed the collards (usually not my favorite).
