Came for brunch on a Saturday with a friend. As always, parking was plentiful and free. We had a 1:00 reservation but arrived about 30 minutes late due to Atlanta traffic. We tried calling ahead, but no one answered; fortunately, it wasn't too busy when we arrived, so our tardiness wasn't an issue. There was a DJ playing a nice mix of hip hop and R&B, which set a great vibe. We weren't immediately greeted since no one was at the hostess stand, but someone from the kitchen noticed us right away and seated us. They offered a $28 "Girl Brunch" with a choice of cornbread or deviled eggs, plus either jerk chicken fried rice or croissant French toast with blueberry compote, along with a lemon drop. In anticipation of my first visit to Apt 4B, like a true Yelp Elite student... lol, I studied the menu and walked in ready to order. To my disappointment, they were out of lemon pepper turkey wings. So, I revised my order and settled for just a side of mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was served nice and hot, and each bite was packed with cheese. It could have used a pinch of seasoning to elevate the taste. I will definitely return to try the lemon pepper turkey wings and other menu items. On a positive note, I appreciated the décor. The record albums and art were a nice touch. There was an outside eating area and the basement had a private event space. Free parking in the lot was also appreciated--especially in Buckhead. The staff were welcoming. I don't know the backstory, but it would be ideal for the restaurant to properly prepare inventory when they know they have an event scheduled. The room was packed with both new and returning customers, and one of the most popular items was unavailable upon opening on a Thursday. The happy hour here was not bad...it was a vibe. The margaritas were perfectly made, and the fried lemon pepper turkey wings were so delicious! The food came out just right -- hot and tasty -- and the whole spot has a nice chill vibe that makes it easy to relax and enjoy your time. Came here for happy hour with a girlfriend of mine and had a good time! It sits within the Marriot Marquise Hotel, and the hotel has valet parking. In the event that you don't want to do valet, there is a Crystal parking lot along the same street that you can easily park and pay. Ambiance was great, service was great. Happy hour portions are a bit scanty than I would prefer, so possibly a way to get around that is ordering multiple plates to have it feel a bit more filling. All in all, incredible vibes. read more

I absolutely love this place! The vibe is everything! Usually I come during the week after work but this time. I came during brunch on a Saturday. There is free parking down the hill and then just walk up the green stairs to the restaurant. I made a reservation for three people through their website but it ended up being four of us and they were still accommodating. It was very crowded at all, which kind of surprised me. We got there around 1pm. The food hits each and every time. Usually I order either the turkey wings or jerk wings but this time I got the oxtails, which came with rice and peas and cabbage. I ordered a side of plantains. Dessert I had the upside down pineapple cake with ice cream. So good! The service was exceptional. We were there a good minute but they didn't rush us to leave and still made sure we were taken care of even after the bill was paid. We came here on a Friday night for a late birthday celebration. I haven't been here in a few years, so I don't know if you always had to valet, but we valeted for $10. We came during happy hour so we started with the Oxtail Hummus and Fried Oyster Mushrooms for appetizers. The oxtail hummus was different. They had pieces of oxtail on top of hummus with toasted roti. I wouldn't pay full price for it. The Fried Oyster Mushrooms were seasoned well, however I thought they were a bit too oily. For drinks, we had the Maker's Mark Old Fashion. They were well made, so we stuck with those all night. For entrees , I had the Coconut Curry Vegetable (V) and my date had the Braised Oxtail Stew. Both meals were seasoned well, but they didn't come out hot. For sides we had mac & cheese and a side of plantain. The Mac & cheese was nice and hot but the plantains were not. We ended the night with the Bread Pudding, which was pretty good. Our server for the night was Jordan and he was phenomenal. There is a really good happy hour menu, the portion sizes are good. Happy hour margaritas are strong and worth the price. I had a side of cabbage and a hummus appetizer. We made reservations for a large party and arrived for our table. We were told we would not be seated until our full party arrived because we could only sit at a table for an hour and a half. After waiting 30 minutes, the hostess decided to seat us despite missing 3 people. We had a few appetizers and the cornbread and oxtail with hummus and roti was delicious. We placed our food order and waited about an hour and 15 minutes for food to start coming. We ran out of drinks and water and our server was very elusive. The food came out and I enjoyed the braised oxtail stew. It came with rice, cabbage and two plantains. The spice was balanced and over all good. People who ordered other meals agreed the food was good. A few other people who ordered the jerk chicken had a difficult time eating the chicken due to it being too spicy and not having any beverages to help with the heat. We ate at the big table and the tall stools were very uncomfortable due to being metal and having to back support. After 2 hours and a half it was clear we weren't being kicked out. We stayed longer and enjoyed some music. It was eventually too loud to eat and enjoy the people seated opposite from you. Apt 4B is located on Peachtree across the street from the Peachtree Square Plaza and tucked away in the lower part of the strip. Parking is a breeze (FREE) if you find a space in their shared with other businesses. We were scheduled for a 12 noon brunch reservation but called to see if they could take us at 1130am on Sunday and it worked out great. We were seated immediately. Jasmine waited on our party of Six and it was a great time! She took drink orders and apps orders. We started with cornbread, which was amazing. For my meal, I ordered the turkey wings($20) from the appetizer menu and the Caesar salad ($17), which both were a little pricey but it was worth it. I was charged for a bottle of flat water ($6). Which was weird lol but ok. The food was 10/10 and I would come back and order it again. The DJ and his booth blew me away! He didn't miss a beat with the music. Hit after hit after hit! I've dined here twice previously, and it was really good. My parents recently returned from Asia after 5 months, just in time for my Dad's birthday. I found plenty of options, but I remembered Apt 4B had the food and vibe that I was looking for. We arrived at 6:30, and the place was fairly empty. The host was able to seat us immediately despite a full bus load of people arriving around the same time as my family and I. We ordered the curry goat, oxtail, jerk chicken, a Caesar salad, and the curry chicken. I also ordered a Watermelon Martini. 15 minutes later, the server, Mahogany, returns to inform the table that they don't have any oxtails or curry goat left, in addition to another item not being available. We switched our orders to the curry chicken and proceeded to chat and wait for our food. Our food comes out cold...all three orders of curry chicken, and it came out with white rice instead of rice and peas. The server exchanged it out and apologized. My daughter asked for a pepper or scotch bonnet sauce for her rice, and my son asked for dressing for his salad. Two things you would think would be free of charge. My dad ordered a Stella and was told they were out of all beers. Once the bill came (many moments later), the salad dressing literally arrived after the bill, and my first and only drink arrived when my food came out the second time. We were charged for scotch bonnet sauce and dressing, which are simply absurd-who wants a dry salad or dry rice? Drinks were good and service wonderful we just weren't overwhelmed by the food. The oxtail was massively over salted in everything we ordered except the oxtails and grits. The oxtail hummus and oxtail sandwich were inedible, and in retrospect there probably was a kitchen issue that day because no one would eat that much salt on anything. Strongest recommendation are the turkey wings. The omelets were decent but under seasoned. Cornbread decent as well. The Jamaican Breakfast was average. Last year I went here for my girls birthday, and I'll tell you, her and her family all ordered the turkey wings appetizer. They ate it off the bone. We wanted something fun and different, and it looked like this spot might fit the bill. You can park in the garage up the hill, or valet down below, then head up the staircase. Ample seating and a cool vibe await you. We had an amazing waitress who was super attentive and on top of her game. They sat us at a table that had space for us to get situated as we were from out of town and traveling with a 6 month old. Always a challenging feat. We opted for the oxtail hummus with a flat bread, ravioli with braised short rib and goat cheese, corn bread with guava butter, and a kale salad with jerk chicken. I also got a mocktail made for me. The oxtail hummus was probably my favorite item. The flat bread was super soft, oxtail tender, and overall nice and filling. The cornbread was so moist that you could cut it with a butter knife. The guava taste in the butter was pretty subtle though. The ravioli was a dish where you need a composed bite for a balanced flavor. The short rib on its own was a bit salty but didn't read that way when you took a bite with the ravioli and that goat cheese and tomato have a great tang to cut through the meaty bite. The kale salad was for sure a bit harsher. The variety of kale was on the thicker side. It tasted better the next day as the dressing softened the leaves a bit and took a bit of the bitterness out. The jerk chicken in it was texturely nice but not the best flavor wise for me. Almost had a taste like lighter fluid. Overall, we enjoyed our meal, and it was my partner's favorite meal on the trip. My advice to you is take your money and go to an actual west Indian restaurant that will give you the portions for fair pricing that you deserve. No wonder their restaurant Negril Village closed.
