Enjoyed a later dinner at Sea Salt with some friends. This place offers some of the best parts of Atlanta eateries - free parking and no cover at a restaurant. Located at The District At Howell Mill, it's in good company with neighboring retail stores, a gym, Teriyaki cuisine and a Mexican restaurant. Not to mention the newly opened Wayfair store downstairs in what was Walmart. There's a bouncer at the entry checking bags and ID. This is Atlanta after all. The interior is decorated with all the typical trimmings - neon signage, grass wall, ambient lighting, lots of TVs, a nice sized bar and lovely upholstered seating. Service was top tier with servers checking in regularly, clearing plates, providing condiments and the food came out quickly. We weren't in the mood for entrees so we had a variety of small plates - Sea Salt wings (lemon pepper), calamari and a fried seafood sampler (fried fish, shrimp, calamari, crab balls & fries). Everything was very tasty and we paired it with a bottle of white wine. The DJ was playing all new & Old School music - a mix of hip hop and R&B. I saw neighboring patrons enjoying hookah, cocktails and pasta dishes. There's a generous outside patio as well. They had the fire pit going on this evening. I'll definitely make my way back for a happy hour and their lobster roll. They also do brunch and daily specials like all-you-can-eat oysters or crab legs on certain days. Just finished dining at Seasalt Restaurant and Bar and it's definitely a hidden gem off the beaten path. The atmosphere was great, and there's plenty of parking, which is always a plus. For appetizers, we had the lobster bites and calamari--both were excellent. My friend ordered the shrimp linguini, and I went with the snapper fillet entrée. Everything was perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. The drinks were also on point. Special shoutout to our hostess, Auidah (hope I got that right)--she was outstanding and really added to the experience. My only downside: no military discount, and I'm not a fan of the automatic service charge being added as the tip. I consider myself a generous tipper, so it takes away from the experience a bit when that's already decided for you, especially when there's still an option to add more on top. The happy hour deals were on point -- $8 drinks, $6 apps, and the hookah for $15 was the real MVP. Smooth pull, flavorful, and priced just right! Once you enter this restaurant you see TV's everywhere which is nice. There's also a live DJ in this restaurant. It's very loud in here. They have hookah here as well. Now onto the food. I ordered the shrimp toast and wings, my mom ordered the fish and chips, my daughter ordered Rasta pasta I believe and my sister ordered wings and calamari. The food came out fresh and hot. Visited earlier this month for a midweek solo lunch. I noticed they had a group birthday special but the manager was fair to accommodate me with a free slice of cheesecake for my birthday. I love this spot for Happy Hour. I came in on Friday at 9:39 just to catch Happy Hour before it ended at 10 pm. Our waitress was amazing and so helpful as we tried figuring out everything we wanted to order from drinks to entrees. She gave us great recommendations and it worked out. Sea salt gets 5/5!! And I can finally say a restaurant in the Atlanta Metro area get a five out of five from me. I went Monday, January 27 around 12 thirtyish. It was happy hour that was my goal. Was to get there for the happy hour menu and I can say it was well worth it. They have $10 hookah. $8 lemon drop and margaritas. I have the chicken and waffles the hotlanta way (just spicy sauce on the chicken). The waffles were great. The chicken was nice and hot. I will say I will not order that next time I go I would order another menu item. My partner had the steak and eggs as you can see in the picture below and he loved it. It was a great size steak as you can see eggs were cooked to his liking and the potatoes were great. We also had the char grilled oysters. Those were amazing. I wish I've ordered the 12 instead of the six, but it was good. And then we also had the shrimp toast. The shrimp toast was not my favorite. We could've skipped it, but it was only happy hour menu and it was only six dollars as you can see in a picture you get like a garlic toast with like occasion sauce with a shrimp on top it's great to try but honestly, you don't need it. This was my first time returning to Sea Salt on Howell Mill in about two years, and I came in with high expectations. My last visit left a great impression--so much so that I ordered the exact same dish this time. Unfortunately, while the energy and ambiance were still there, the food and overall experience fell short of what I remembered. I made a reservation for my boyfriend's birthday, so this dinner was a bit more special. When we arrived, we were met with a frustrating situation at the front desk. Although we had a party of three, only two of us had arrived because one guest was circling the Publix lot trying to find the entrance. We explained that we were aware of the two-hour seating policy and asked to be seated so our time could begin while we waited--our guest was close. The hostess initially made it seem like this was okay, only to double back and tell us she couldn't seat us without all guests present, citing policy. We then requested to speak with a manager. Thankfully, the manager was understanding and had us seated. Once we were at our table, our server Tasha completely turned the night around. She was hands-down the highlight of the evening. Tasha was warm, professional, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable. She made my boyfriend's birthday feel like a priority, and I can honestly say she's been the best server I've had since moving to Atlanta over two years ago. Huge shoutout to her--she truly saved the experience. As for the food, it didn't live up to the atmosphere or the price point. I ordered the lobster mac and cheese, and while the portion was generous and the fried lobster claws were cooked well, the entire dish lacked seasoning. It didn't taste fresh, and the mac and cheese itself was bland--completely lacking the richness and depth you'd expect. It honestly just needed salt, seasoning, and soul. I also enjoyed the broccoli, which was perfectly cooked--crisp, slightly firm, and full of natural flavor. For drinks, I had a house margarita and a strawberry mojito. The mojito was a standout, but as the night went on, the drink turnaround time slowed drastically. The first round came quickly, but the second took far too long. I had to request the third drink be expedited after waiting an unreasonable amount of time for the second. One of my guests ordered the salmon lasagna and ended up sending it back due to lack of flavor. She replaced it with the catfish entrée, which had noticeably more seasoning and depth, but still not quite enough to rave about. Another guest had the seafood boil, which was also underwhelming. The sauce lacked flavor and customization. At most seafood spots, you're able to combine sauces to create something rich and layered--they don't offer that flexibility here, which was disappointing. Entering the door fully, I turned to the hostess area and was greeted with a huge smile and pleasant welcome in. I provided her the party name and as I was there for a birthday celebration, we had to wait until 80% of the group was present. No worries as I understand the need for the majority TK be there as there is a 90 minute table time limit. The group was all there within minutes and we were seated immediately. Once seated, our waitress came up to the table immediately and introduced herself. Along with the introduction she advised she would be bringing us some water and would be right back... by the time she got back, she delivered our water and was ready to take our drink and appetizer orders. I had an awesome experience here. Made a reservation for 3 people on Sunday at 1pm. When we arrived, the hostess greeted us right away and asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside. It was a beautiful day so we opted for outside. There was still a table in the shade So she sat us. The table is low and the chairs are low, but much more comfortable than it appears. The chairs are the perfect height for the table. There is a DJ inside, but they do have a speaker and music playing outside so the outside vibe is also great. Mia, our server, came over and greeted us and brought eyes out right away and took our drink order. When she brought back our drinks, she made recommendations for appetizers. She suggested the fried Thai chili salmon bites and the sea salt dip. We ordered both and they were amazing! I had the chicken and waffles and I got a side of maple syrup and a side of strawberry syrup. The strawberry syrup was a recommendation from Mia, which was also on point. I ordered the bottomless mimosas and it was worth the price and I got to try different flavors each time. Parking is free and if the parking directly in front of the restaurant is full, there is ample parking as it is in a shopping center area. Want to give a big shout out to Mia as I cannot say enough about how helpful she was with recommendations, answering our questions and ensuring that our glasses were never empty, both water and our cocktails. She came to the table multiple times to check on us and has such a great attitude and was friendly and smiling the whole time. I was disappointed but I get it. I probably still would have gotten hookah but the $50 price tag seemed excessive. I wanted to try the frozen espresso martini but I was informed that their slushee machine was broken I opted for moscato since it was part of their 2 for 1 wine special. It was cheap wine but whatever. My bestie got a full order of the charbroiled oysters. I didn't try them but she noted that they were dry. The colors and decorations remind me of an upscale sea side bar (only much nicer!). The aqua and orange color scheme works wonderfully with lots of nautical details throughout the restaurant. Food I came on Monday for the unlimited crab legs. I comfortably ate 5 clusters, which was worth the $45 price point (in my opinion). There are 3 flavor options - I stuck with Cajun and lemon butter. The lemon drops were phenomenal. The lemon was more sour than others I've had (sooo good!). The watermelon was my favorite though. I highly recommend the flight, which includes strawberry, watermelon, and lemon. Service The service was cool. I arrived on Monday night without a reservation and only had a 35 minute wait. The waitress was sweet and offered realistic wait expectations due to the kitchen being backed up. However, after the initial wait, I never found myself without a tray of crab legs in front of me. I never had to go searching for my waitress either. Shoutout to Iyana! Sadly, due to the Monday crab rush, the restaurant was out of crab leg crackers. There were no mini forks to help you get the meat out of the shell. Also, note that the first tray of crab legs will have 2 clusters but all subsequent ones will only have one. Please. DO NOT come here. First time here, and i visited for the unlimited crab legs which was a Monday special. I came here with one other person and let me tell you what happened. the unlimited crab legs were $45 dollars per person, with a time limit of 1 hour and 30 minutes. you can only order one portion for each person at a time. the first round of crab legs were only two sets of legs per person, and it took about 20 minutes to come out. The second round came out in about 40 minutes with only one set of crab legs per person. 1. This was rather infuriating due to the fact that 2/3 of my time limit to utilize the AYCE was spent waiting for 3 set of crab legs per person. 2. There is a MANDATORY charge of 20% gratuity if you spend $100 or more which my server had not mentioned to me prior to my meal, nor did she ever stop by my table to give service at all. 3. In the state of GA gratuity is not mandatory if the service is not met. Gratuity is a mere customary service and it is not legally mandatory. and you might say as long as its written in the menu then this might not matter, but there were inconsistencies in the portions of crab legs given out. 4. i had asked a nearby table busser whom was his first day (as i was told) if the gratuity could be taken off due to many inconsistencies with my experience being very negative. and his response was "we're a black business and we're cheap. you know how it goes." my total bill came out to $134.00 with mandatory gratuity, two person AYCE and one lemon drop martini (which was advertised as $10 for a special, but $11 dollars on my receipt.) i did not request more crab legs after the second round due to the fact that i was running out of my time limit. so i only had time to have three sets of crabs legs for an AYCE. By far the worst experience i had at a restaurant. By far the worst quality service i have ever experienced. I will be looking into how compensation could be made for my horrible experience here. i felt scammed and unwanted. This place should reevaluate their standards and services and quality of food as well. I would give less than one star if there were an option to do so. read more

Went in around 1pm on a weekday with a group of coworkers. The restaurant was clean and has a pleasant ambiance about it. Our server was really great taking the time to make recommendations from the menu. Our party all ordered something different and sample from each other, the snapper fillet and whole fried snapper are delicious. The fried rice was ok. Lobster rolls, honey chicken are really good. The seafood dip is Amazing! And last but not least the lamb chops were ok but the glaze they used was too sweet. Overall our party enjoyed our meals and appetizers. We decided it would be our go to happy hour which is from 12to 6 unheard of in Atlanta and I love it! read more

Definitely a gem in the Atlanta area! I've heard a few good things about Sea Salt so I decided to stop in during my short trip to Atlanta. They have a few locations. The Howell Mill location is 21 and up and the largest that they have in the Atlanta Metro Area. I stopped in on a Friday night, had less than a 10 minute wait time and was greeted and seated quickly. I ordered the snapper filler with fries and plantains. By far one of the fried snapper meals I've had. It was seasoned perfectly and not over fried. The fried were also seasoned. The ambiance of the restaurant is a complete vibe! Areas to take pictures, they play music and sports/TV while you're there. They offer a full service bar, and have a DJ on Friday and Saturday nights. They also offer hookah at the tables for an additional fee. They have an outside seating area but because it was cold, it was closed for evening. If you're looking for good seafood and nice vibes, please check out Sea Salt! I'll be back for sure! read more
