    Classic Mac and Cheese

Spectacular spot for special occasions! I visited this restaurant for a friend's birthday, and the presentation of my meal was magnificent--the taste and tenderness of the tomahawk matched perfectly. The classic Mac and cheese was good too. The serving size was so generous that I enjoyed it for three straight days. The seasoning was perfection. Everyone in our party of six enjoyed their meals. Valet parking is available, but I parked directly across the street in a paid lot. I'll definitely return for the speakeasy experience. Be sure to check out this restaurant when you're ready to splurge.

Absolutely great experience! As I walked up, I was greeted and the door was opened by a gentleman in a black suit. I was sat immediately. There was no wait for my other party and we added an extra plus one at arrival. Very accommodating. The waitress was very friendly. She introduced herself, asked questions and answered any questions we had. There were three of us. We ordered the tomahawk, Chilean sea bass, Brussels sprouts, broccolini, bread pudding, fondue dip, fried mushrooms, blueberry Mai tai, and agave old fashion. Everything was amazing! The steak was brought out and cut in front of us. There were displays happening at several tables as well. After dinner we went downstairs to the speakeasy. We enjoyed shots that came out on a tray with lights and smoke! Great presentation. I believe there is valet but the lot across the street does not play with the fees be prepared to not park there or pay up front to not have overpricing. The food and experience was so good I didn't get many pics.

This was nothing less than a great evening. The had outdoor, bar, main, and upstairs seating. We sat upstairs with a party of 7 so it was more private. Our waiter was great as well as the bartender as I arrived early and started there for happy hour. The drinks did not disappoint and nor did the food. From the appetizers to dessert everything was well plated and delicious. I had the branzino and it didn't stand a chance. Started with the ponchatarian oysters they had a lil spice but were great. The valet is $25 which isn't posted anywhere and 20% gratuity is included on all checks, but service was still up to par so no complaints.

The restaurant is very cute! It's perfect for any occasion, date night, girls or guys night out, or business meeting. The staff was friendly and helpful and the service was quick without making you feel rushed. So to get into the food, everything was perfect! I didn't take pics of the seafood fondue but that was stellar, much like the Brussels. The Mac and cheese needed a little more pepper and it would've been perfect! The lamb chops have a nice kick so be ready for that. My cousin has the fried fish and she said that wasn't seasoned well but the collards and cornbread that came with it was amazing! The price point is what you'd expect but it's well worth it!

Celebrated birthdays at SM44. The ambiance and decor are very grown and sexy. Perfect for a date night or adults only dinner. Everyone enjoyed their drinks and the food. Coincidentally we all ordered seafood. No one ordered the steak. But the sea bass was the clear favorite. Someone next to us ordered the prime rib. Plan to go back and order that next time. Definitely worth a try. It's not just a pretty face, there's (food) substance behind the glitz and glamour.

Food, service and ambience was all delightful. The oysters were a highlight, as were the steak and the crab fondue dip. I also loved the guava vodka old fashioned and my girlfriend really enjoyed the hibiscus yuzu marg. They played some great tunes during the meal and i thought it was actually very reasonably priced for such an upscale and delicious meal. One of the best steaks Ive had in a while, great chimichurri as well. I want to go back and try the desserts

I went here to celebrate my friend new job and my other friend moving to Atlanta and I'm glad I picked this restaurant out now I will say a little bit pricey, but if that's how you roll definitely do what you do best let's start off with the service, which was amazing our waitress did a lot for recommendations and I trusted everything that she stated, and we tried everything pretty much on the menu. I will say there was nothing that I did not like I even liked the lobster mac & cheese and I feel like a lot of people in Atlanta can't can't make mac & cheese, but this was amazing and I will get it again. I think overall it was a beautiful environment very cute. I love the fact that they take photos and let you purchase them. The speakeasy was pretty small and smoky so did not stay in there at all. We pretty much walked in and walked right back out but overall, I will do it again if I wasn't paying.

Don't believe everything you read on social media. I saw a great video on social about this place so I decided to try it, even after reviewing the menu, pricing and location. I really try to support black owned restaurants. Unfortunately, this isn't it. The food was subpar. Service below average. The only thing I'd come back for is the drinks. This is definitely not high end or fine dining. This is 1/2 a step above a club for 21-25 year olds. A definite NO for me in the future. By the way, this IS NOT a black owned establishment! They lied. Sorry.

We were there celebrating our engagement, and they made it feel so special by decorating our table with rings and confetti to celebrate our love. Our server gave us so much attention and made the experience feel personal. Since it was our first time there, they took the time to walk us through some of the best items on and off the menu, and shared their favorite dishes. Everything was done with care. The restaurant was clean, the bathroom was amazing, and the food was worth every dollar. The short rib was so tender, and the New York strip was seasoned to perfection and cooked medium well just how we like it. The twice-baked potato loaded with bacon, sour cream, chives, and cheese was delicious, and the mac and cheese was so good. I also appreciated that they allowed me to order it without the roasted saltine crackers. I can't wait to visit again!

Bones has old money vibes - for example, the receptionist referred to us as Mr. and Ms. which I felt like was very polite and again, traditional. We were celebrating my birthday, and they pre-decorated our table a little bit! We got special print-out menus that said "Happy Birthday" and the table had a little bit of confetti on it! It was a nice gesture to be welcomed with. Our server, Michael, was great at being attentive (without being overly attentive), and providing recs/answering our questions. We went with the Crab and Lobster Napoleon for our app, the Ribeye to split, and a side of their famous Hash Browns. Everything was very good!! I will let the pictures speak for themselves, but all the food comes out hot, fresh, and with good flavor. I really do recommend getting the Hash Browns - it sounds a little silly to order such a dish at a steakhouse, but try it for yourself :) All dishes have a good portion size so keep that in mind when ordering! While not pictured, I do have to give a shoutout to the complimentary bread service - their bread is real good. Hot and fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside. Try not to get full off the bread alone. For dessert, Bones surprised us with literally the tallest and thickest slice of ice cream cake I've ever seen! My jaw dropped. I love ice cream cake and it was awesome to be treated to some!! I already thought that the table decorations and the special menu were enough to recognize my birthday, but this is the generosity of Bones. I will absolutely be returning some day! If not for the amazing food, then for the equally amazing hospitality! Thank you Bones for a wonderful birthday! Note: Complimentary valet parking ONLY. We asked the valet person if we could just park the car but we weren't allowed to. Bring some cash for a tip.

Definitely a place to be seen and eat well. There's a parking garage but it was full when we got there, so we did valet, which was surprisingly affordable. Service was wonderful. Our server was attentive, helpful, and super knowledgeable about the menu. As for the food, we got: Aguachile de Pescado, which was insane. Super fresh, bright, citrusy, ceviche-like with perfect texture. I would go back just for that. The Hamachi was clean and bright. That avocado sauce tied everything together and gave it some depth without overpowering the fish. The Pork Belly Tostadas were crispy and rich with that smooth avocado mousse and sweet mango salsa balancing it out perfectly. Finally, the bone marrow with steak... so good. I had seen pictures of it before I came and it did not disappoint. The steak was incredibly tender. They bring blue corn tortillas and suggest making a taco with the marrow, steak, and avocado. It's great that way. But honestly, the marrow and steak stand perfectly on their own. Whole experience was excellent. Easily one of my favorite spots in the city now.

Right when we walked in, the staff complained to us that we hadn't called ahead to have a "smaller, special menu" crafted for a large party. To make matters worse, they loudly announced to the whole table right off rip that they wouldn't split checks separately--only an even split. It felt incredibly rude, lazy, and unwelcoming. The irony is that the large group size wasn't even an issue; we staggered our arrivals and the patio was completely empty. The kicker- my brother in law ended up paying the whole tab at the end anyways! so all of that initial laziness & nastiness for NOTHING! Throughout the night, the service felt incredibly rushed and stressed. While we were still eating our appetizers, the busser was aggressively trying to clear our plates because the mains were coming. Our server was very short with us the entire time, which was confusing because the restaurant didn't even have a stressful vibe. She recommended a main dish to me that I really didn't care for, though I will say the salsa was unique and probably the best part of the meal. Shoutout to the one staff member who was actually friendly, but overall, this is not the kind of place where you leave feeling like you had a nice restaurant experience- at least I personally didn't.. Too bad we didn't just go to C&S next door which we always love. Regardless tho, my sister had a blast, but that's entirely because she has a wonderful crew of great friends, not because of Casi Cielo.

Combined with the exceptional service and beautiful ambiance, the experience left a lasting impression and made me want to return for another try. That opportunity came this past Sunday. I originally planned to stop in for a drink and the bread service, but my boyfriend and I ended up ordering the Caesar salad and the Lobster Risotto as well. The bread service was just as amazing as I remembered. My boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed the Caesar salad, especially the freshly grated cheese, which he said was incredibly light and airy. As for the Lobster Risotto, it exceeded my expectations in both flavor and portion size. The risotto itself was somewhat mild on its own, but once I mixed in the herb butter, it became absolutely delicious. The lobster itself was very tender and tasty, I loved it. I've officially fallen in love with Marcel and will definitely be adding it to my list of go-to dinner spots. The bread service, ambiance, interior design, and customer service are all outstanding. A moody, retro, classic world where…read morebowties are worn unironically in a setting that could best be described as a boxing gym renovated with industrial touches to become a steakhouse in the 1940s. That world could be anywhere. It could even be in Midtown West Atlanta. Service was impeccable. Servers knew we were celebrating our anniversary and were attentive and helpful when making tough menu choices. Pacing was definitely geared toward fine dining. 40 minutes between starters and entree was a BIT long, but it went by. Steak was wonderful (a porterhouse for 2), cooked to a perfect medium rare with seasoning appropriately calibrated to not overpower. East and west coast oysters were fresh and the Marcel salad to start was underdressed and lacked flavor (I enjoyed how they plopped a mound of bleu cheese on top to mix in; I pushed this aside which my server and I laughed about. He said he'd do the same. Maybe it's a sign). Hot bread service with a spreadable cheese and prosciutto was a nice touch. The French fries are probably the best I've ever had, and the asparagus was asparagus (slightly undersalted if anything). Chocolate cake was impressive in presentation but unremarkable for flavor and consistency. My wife enjoyed her decaf coffee as the best she's had at a restaurant, but her cocktail left something to be desired and was extremely tart. A Mexican coke was perfect enough for me. The pricing here is exorbitant. The price tag isn't necessarily a problem given the caliber of dining experience and ambiance that Marcel provides, but given some of the misses on staple items (namesake salad, "famous" chocolate cake), I'm not sure that value for dollar spent is present. In transparency, our dinner comprised of the above was over $400 with tip, which was aligned with expectations walking in the door. Whether the food stood up to the actual place and pricing is a debate. I lean toward an answer of "almost, but close enough not to be insulted." If a gun was pointed at my head to pick the "best steakhouse" in Atlanta, I'd pick Bones without thinking twice. This place is a close second probably, but places like Nowaks in Sandy Springs, while not the same echelon of formality, might have Marcel beat on flavor and definitely have Marcel beat on value for the dollar. Is Marcel's concept valid and well executed? Yes, without question. Would I want somebody else to pay if I returned? Yes, without question. 4.3/5 stars
