Probably one of the nicest Irish pubs I've been to. It's everything you can expect from a pub- loud, rowdy at times if an ATL sports team is on. It's bigger than it looks from the outside. But it's pretty clean and a bit more elevated than the typical dusty pub. The food was decent. I just had a chicken and pear salad but I actually really enjoyed it. Me and my wife stopped by this Fado's to grab some lunch on a Saturday. We were craving a glass of Guinness, and this place was perfect for it, so we ended up getting lunch too. We got some buffalo wings to start with. They were really good! It was nice and hot too (temperature wise and flavor wise.) They were literally steaming for a good 5 minutes after our server brought them. My wife got the blackened chicken salad wrap with fries for her main, and I got the fish and chips lunch portion. Both tasted INCREDIBLE. Her wrap was really good, I had a few bites. It was packed with toppings and the chicken tasted really good. My fish and chips were GREAT. I got the lunch portion, which comes with one piece of fish, but the dinner portion comes with two I believe. I didn't realize it was only one piece for the lunch portion, otherwise I would've gotten the dinner portion...I was hungry!! The fries we both got were nice and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I got some BBQ sauce to dip my fries into. I also doused my fish and chips with vinegar...you got to to do it that way! Our glasses of Guinness were fresh and poured really nicely too. They were also nice and cold! Our server was really friendly too and was always checking on us. We really enjoyed ourselves, and we'll definitely be back! We have been to this location a few times, and also the one in Buckhead. I had a pretty decent experience here. We came here to watch the Arsenal versus Manchester United game and it definitely was a pretty lively atmosphere. Everybody that worked there was extremely nice, friendly, and helpful. I think that was the best part of my experience, especially from my bartender. He was really personable and took care of me. I liked my drinks as well. The only thing that I would say wasn't the best to me was the taste of the fish and chips. I expected a lot more especially because this just seems like the type of place to get fish and chips and they highlighted it on their menu but it was pretty basic to me. The fish was fried very nicely, but I just felt like there was not enough salt or seasoning so it kind of had a bland flavor. However, I also got to try the Belgian waffles and those were really good. They definitely had a really authentic Belgian waffle texture and taste that I like so they definitely did well with those. I also got to try some of the American breakfast and the sausage was surprisingly really good. That was the best thing that I tasted during this visit however, the scrambled eggs were kind of similar to the fish and chips...basically no flavor, no salt, no seasoning and just tasted really bland. It was also served with applewood smoked bacon, which to me was overcooked, the bacon was really dry and too crunchy. To me the food could've definitely been better, but there were a few menu items that stood out and were actually really good. From the moment we walked in the ambiance welcomed us. My friend and I sat in the cozy round seating area with soft banquette cushions. Our server Daisha came over immediately and brought waters. Having had missed almost every Celtics game, my friends coerced me into coming to this one, which was evidently one of their first losses in a while (how ironic). My friends were already quickly becoming regulars and were able to get a bench which was perfectly positioned at the center of the room to view the game from one of their 10 screens available. We shared a few order of their wings which were delicious regardless of the flavor you got (bbq, sweet chili, buffalo, lemon pepper). Drinks were great, I had my first Black & Gold - Stella Artois which was delicious and something I'd like to get again. Fado is always a guaranteed good time in Midtown with the best sports always on and a great atmosphere. I've been with work and with friends and it's always consistent! The food to me overall is nothing out of the water but standard bar food that gets the job done. They have some of the best mules in my opinion and the drinks are always delicious. I've tried most of the appetizers and the chicken quesadillas and the fried goat cheese are some classics! This time we came for the Atlanta United game on a Saturday and got a table for 7 people really easy which was awesome! The host even mentioned he had the game with volume in the back which was great. For an app, we got the cheese dip which was delicious. For the main, I got the cheesy double stack with fries and it was good! For me a little it was a little dry but the appetizers are the best thing on the menu. They usually have great food, but the fish tacos were completely drenched in Tabasco instead of the usual chipotle aioli. It was overwhelming and unpleasant since all I could taste was Tabasco--definitely not enjoyable. I mentioned it to the older lady serving us and asked, "Does this normally have hot sauce on it? It tastes off," but she assured me this was how they're made. As a regular who's had these tacos many times, I know this isn't how they're typically served. I am biased towards Irish pubs. Ambience is good for a typical Irish pub. While the food has mostly American bar favorites, there are several "Irish" fare such as corned beef rolls and Shepherd's pie which are both hearty with a pint of Guinness. Well, I discovered this place one night while I was headed to the nearby comedy club. I'm not gonna lie,they had me at fried goat cheese. So, on my next visit to a show, I stopped by and glad I did. Came with a pretty big plate of food, including sausages, rashers, mushrooms, tomatoes, and toast. (I learned that "rashers" are like slices of ham .. the "Irish bacon.") Food was very tasty and very filling for $14. We also got their bottomless mimosas which came in HUGE glasses. Our waitress was very observant of our drinking speed and frequently dropped by to refill us to the brim. Rest assured, we got our money's worth. I had such a great experience recently that I just had to write another review. My boyfriend and I stopped by for drinks and light fare around 2pm on a Sunday. The sign at the entrance instructed guests to wait to be seated and after a mere few seconds, a server pops up to seat us. The restaurant was packed so I feared we would be seated at an awful table but our host rounded the corner towards the back of the restaurant and sat us at a nook for two that I didn't even know existed! We were greeted by a warm, friendly server with a fantastic smile and received excellent service throughout our meal (I'm sorry I didn't catch her name, but kudos to the petite curly-haired brunette!). I was pleased to learn they serve brunch on Saturdays and Sundays and their brunch menu is definitely work checking out if only for one reason alone: bottomless mimosas for $15! I was so excited for bottomless mimosas but that I immediately placed my order, but was warned by the server that the cutoff would be at 3pm so I would only have an hour or so to enjoy the bottomless experience. I went for the challenge! The server was so sweet - she kept an eye on us the entire time and stopped by the table multiple times to refill my glass. My glass never came close to being empty! The boyfriend and I munched on The Big Soft Pretzel: freakishly big Bavarian pretzel with whole grain mustard and cheese sauce, but we subbed mustard for double cheese at no extra charge. Came by this place to celebrate a friend's early birthday for brunch! Definitely recommend putting in a reservation at this place if you visit on a weekend since the crowd does pick up. I ordered the chicken and waffle dish which looked too pretty to eat in my opinion but had to go all in! Went here on a Saturday morning to get some brunch with a couple of friends. They did not have any coffee based beverages which was disappointing. Our server looked disinterested and unconcerned about providing us with a good customer service experience. The food options were average at best.
