Just come for the drinks. The drink prices aren't too bad and the atmosphere isn't bad either. A good spot to hang with friends. Also they have karaoke sometimes and there is a few pool tables. Food is not worth it. I got their ham sandwich with cheese... not great. Tasted and looked like school food. But the service here is nice. Just wish the food was better.

Can't say enough good things about this place! Came on Sunday for their brunch and was extremely satisfied as always. The chicken and waffles were delicious - the chicken was very flavorful, and the waffle had just the right amount of crunch (and the side of fresh fruit was great too!). Service was very quick, and there were plenty of TVs and Pool Tables to keep you busy. I can't wait to come back on my next visit!

It a cool spot to pull up to late night. The drinks were good. We stopped by after leaving an event to play some pool. We had a great time. The service was good.

Was looking for another restaurant downtown ATL, found it and it was closed. So, since we had street parking we decided to venture the strip and found a small pub with a nice crowd (for a Sunday) Whelan's. They are serving endless mimosa from 11-3pm for $15 and the locals we're taking advantage. We order the chilli tai wings, these were really delicious tender, juicy and flavorful also a Caesar Salad and a Whalen Salad with steak. Jenny our waitress was amazing 5ft 4 in of personality. Oh, did I mention that we had mimosas also. The ambiance is much like an Irish pub, loud (endless mimosas) but welcoming and friendly. Oh one note there is a 18% gradtudity on each order... nevertheless happy we stumbled into this establishment.

Ok whoever gave this place 1 star was 100% wrong. The service was fast and friendly. And this big south african glizzy was awesome!! You can't believe all these reviews. The place was hopping on a Thursday night.

This was my first time trying The Whelan. I placed an order for pick up and the employee said the food would be ready in 20 minutes. I ordered 6 hot wings, side of fries, and lamb chops. The lamb chops came with mashed sweet potatoes and wild rice. I thought that was kind of odd that it came with 2 starches. When I arrived to pick up my food was packed and ready to go. I got home to eat and the food was just ok. The fries got cold really quickly. The lamb chops were cooked medium, which I am ok with. The mashed sweet potatoes had a lot of strings in it. And the wild rice was pretty bland.

It almost feels like I stepped back into time, especially after the hussle and bustle day I just had. It was refreshing to come into such a pleasant and friendly atmosphere. As I looked around I saw lots of evidence that good times lives here. I'm not big on burgers, but I have to say this one was a great burger. I ordered Burben BBQ Burger. Nice and juicy. The fries were cooked to perfection. MOLLIE, was a great server. I can't wait to come here again.

    Checking out The Whelan today.

Great Buffalo wings! Im so sad, i forgot to take a picture, they were so good it slipped my mind but they're delicious and great size. And the waitress did a great job. Mrs. Jenny helped us while we were here and gets an A+ for service and hospitality!

This restaurant had great reviews but the service I've been receiving lately is absolutely terrible. I am a resident and lately the waitresses have not been the best. I bought my family in and they took their time getting us drinks, etc. I then ordered to go and the power went out (which was totally not their fault) but my food wasn't done in the time frame that was given. Then as of tonight (6/25/19) I came in and the waitress (Caitlyn) said that she couldn't give me the in house discount. And kept making it seem like it was only 10% like it wasn't a big deal. I always order to go because I have a little one and there is always folks smoking at the bar. With agaverno being close by I ordered dessert because they don't sell dessert and they forgot to add a spoon. I asked if she had any plastic silverware and she proceeded to tell me that she couldn't let me eat because of the plastic costing the owner money !?? So with me totally confused I asked what she was talking about and she started talking in circles really weird. All I asked for was a spoon set so I could have with my ice cream. Just really upset especially since the food is actually good. I won't be coming back. My husband said they even treated him and his uncle poorly when they came in last week. I think i should probably mention to my apartment complex.

This was our first day trying it, and after lunch, we knew we had to return. The food is incredibly flavorful, truly unlike anything we've had before. For lunch, we shared the Rainbow Bowl, and for dinner we came back for wings (half BBQ, half mango lime marinade--SO good), a chicken Caesar salad wrap, Brussels sprouts, and their chips (fries). Everything was delicious, fresh, and generously portioned. The drinks were also a highlight--both the non-alcoholic and alcoholic options were refreshing and well-crafted. But what really made the experience special was the service. Kiran was such a sweetheart--kind, attentive, and just a joy to interact with. And another team member (possibly a manager) went above and beyond when they were out of shredded chicken. He had the kitchen substitute thigh meat for the Caesar wrap, and it turned out amazing. That level of care really stood out. All in all, this is a 10/10 experience (even if it's technically 5 stars!). We loved everything about it and are already planning our next visit--plus grabbing extra to-go for tomorrow. Bravo, Nando's! We'll definitely be back P.S. The app sux. It kept freezing. Unfortunately, it will probably be our last visit. We arrived on time but our table wasn't ready, so we grabbed drinks at the bar. Prior to our reservation, my husband had coordinated with the restaurant to surprise me with a prosecco toast for the occasion. They had even confirmed the details with him beforehand. But when we arrived... nothing. No acknowledgment at reception, and our server even asked if we were celebrating anything special. After we'd already ordered drinks and appetizers, my husband had to step away and track down a manager himself. They eventually brought the toast and comped it, but by then the moment had passed. What was supposed to be intentional time together started with frustration instead. As for the food: * The special octopus ceviche had me so excited because octopus and ceviche are two of my favorite things. Sadly, it missed the mark. The octopus was oddly warm in an otherwise cold dish, the coconut milk sauce fell flat, and the rice crisps served alongside it were so stale we couldn't even bite into them. * ostrich sliders are always a good choice, although a bit more well done than we'd have preferred * truffle mushroom ravioli was outstanding * I ordered the salmon and substituted the potatoes for broccolini. The entire dish was dry as a bone. The salmon was overcooked, the broccolini was overly charred, and the kale was practically burnt to a crisp. I do have a dairy allergy, but I was surprised the kitchen didn't attempt to add any olive oil, lemon juice, sauce, or anything else to bring moisture and balance to the plate. The spicy margaritas were great... as long as we got the bartender with the curly hair. One round was excellent; another was genuinely awful. The gin and tonics were consistently good. Yebo still has a beautiful atmosphere and holds a lot of sentimental value for us. I just wish the execution had matched the occasion.

The ambience was so nice and the food was fantastic! My group got a few appetizers to try- all were tasty and so were the drinks. I noticed it was a different menu than the most recent time I went. The first time, I got the braised short rib and was very pleasantly surprised with the portion, flavor, and tenderness of the meat! Our server was great as well and helped us enjoy a fantastic evening. This past Sunday I went again with a small group of people around 4. There was only one other group eating in the restaurant at the time but they left shortly after we got there, leaving us the only ones in the space. Our server may have been new and not well trained- he didn't write down our three orders, which could have been fine but he had to come back and ask us what we ordered before he put it in. We got the smash burger, fish sandwich and chicken piccata. The burger looked nice, two patties and plenty of toppings, but my fish sandwich was absolutely lacking. At first, it looked great, but the more I ate the more I realized there was hardly any fish in there. To me, the fish seemed about 1 cm thick with a huge coating of breading sandwiched between a bun on either side... the coleslaw needed to be sharper, and the tartar sauce added to the heaviness of the meal, not the elevation of it. I felt I needed another meal after I finished. The chicken piccata was decent but was heavy on the lemon, to the point it wasn't enjoyable to finish. I probably won't be back because of the disappointing meal I had.

Piri-piri chicken, garlic bread, and zero self-control. Nando's is already one of our go-to spots, so it didn't take much convincing. The vibe hits that perfect sweet spot between casual and "we're pretending this is a planned night out." And the food? Consistently elite. My husband went with his usual: the 2 1/4 legs, hot. A bold man with a questionable spice tolerance, but I respect the commitment. I ordered the chicken thigh skewers, medium, because I like to feel something without seeing my life flash before my eyes. Now let's talk about the real star of the show: the garlic bread. I don't know what they put in it, but I would trust it with my financial decisions. It's that good. He also got the fries (which, okay... a little skimpy this time, Nando's, we noticed ), and I switched things up with the corn on the cob, which absolutely held its own. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what we needed even though we didn't know we needed it. We met up with my sister and her kids, who ordered after us, but honestly the best part of the night was just hanging out, talking, and letting the table slowly turn into a graveyard of sauce-covered plates and crumbs. Final verdict: Came for matcha. Left with full stomachs, zero regrets, and a renewed emotional attachment to garlic bread. Would accidentally end up here again 10/10.

The decor is inviting, the service is always friendly and attentive, and the restaurant is consistently clean and well-maintained. My wife and I usually share the Tibs Platter with ribeye, lamb, and filet. The meat is always incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with flavor.
