This was my second visit to Unknown and I'm not sure if I will be back. I wasn't particularly impressed with the food during my first visit but tried it again as some friends wanted to visit. First I will say that the decor is beautiful. It is well decorated and has a sexy vibe. Everyone was very nice. From the valet to the servers, I had no complaints about service. The taste and quality of the food did not match the standard set by the rest of the experience. I ordered the fettuccini with salmon and it wasn't very flavorful and didn't offer a creole "kick". My friends ordered the braised ribs and while they said it was good in the moment, they complained about stomach aches the next day. I really wanted to love this restaurant but I'm just underwhelmed with the food and drinks. It's worth a try but manage your expectations.

The AMBIENCE, the SERVICE, the FOOD, the MUSIC & my DRANK 10s across the board!!! I definitely recommend! My server Carmen, the hostess LUX & the manager Moe were all super friendly & attentive!

Unknown was a pleasant surprise! My wife and I went on a Wednesday night and it was empty, but the servers and dj gave us the energy of a full place. The decor is great but like nothing I've ever experienced. It was great for our date night, but would be amazing for a ladies night. The shrimp & grits and both drinks were great. The lamb lasagna was unique and delicious. The chicken was juicy and very flavorful. The greens were good but very vinegar forward.

Mismatch champagne flutes because they said they couldn't find more to use.

The experience at Unknown for my birthday dinner was a let down, especially after booking their $75 prix fixe menu. Now, let's talk about the champagne situation. We were ready to raise our glasses and celebrate, but when it was time for the toast, they could only find four glasses for our group of eight! It took nearly 20 minutes for them to track down more flutes, and when they finally did, they didn't even match the original ones. Then, we waited an hour for appetizers to come out. And the complimentary champagne they had advertised? That never made an appearance. And where was the live band they promised? We chose this place specifically because the manager confirmed there would be a band playing on NYE. They played music from the speakers until the DJ arrived at 10pm. Our dinner was scheduled from 7:30-9:30pm. The main courses made a grand entrance at 10pm--past the scheduled dinner end time! I was grateful that our table was served at all especially since some tables around us were getting refunds and leaving without a single bite. To top it all off, when I tried to bring these issues to the attention of the manager, May, I was met with a lack of customer service. She seemed disinterested in resolving the issues and was nowhere to be found when we needed her help. While I did manage to enjoy my special day with friends (because let's face it, good company can make even the worst of dinners bearable), I think it's safe to say that Unknown will not be getting an invitation to my future celebrations.

I had never heard of this restaurant. Went for a bday dinner for a friend. Parking is valet. We had reservations but I don't think they were required. We were seated quickly and we didn't need the entire party to be present. There was an awesome live band. The drink names were really sensual and cute as well as the decor. There's also a full bar just in case you want something different. Ordered the crispy chicken, the chicken was seasoned to perfection. The grits and collards had no taste at all. I was very disappointed. There was no saving them with salt and pepper. It was odd that the chicken was so flavorful but the rest wasn't. The chicken was also very tender. I would recommend the place for a date night. The ambience is amazing.

This is a new location in Atlanta that's trending. I was excited to go to celebrate my friend's birthday (he's not a cheap date he reminded me)! The location is tucked away on Cheshire Bridge Road (upper Midtown/Buckhead) which is a transitioning neighborhood. It's been a questionable area for years but this place delivers once inside. The decor, seating and lighting was outstanding. They designed the place to accommodate entertainment that's able to view from any table and the built-in speaker system. There's a band that plays from 6-9 PM with a saxophonist that walks around. They were great but it's pretty loud and hard to talk over it. That was a huge downside. Our server was really personable and helped us get familiar with the menu. It changes seasonally but best sellers usually remain. We ordered appetizers, dinner, cocktails and a received a free dessert for the birthday boy. The tab was over $400 for 3 people which included a $15 entertainment fee. Is that $5 per person? Valet is $10 to park (add $1 for tap or cards). ‍ Overall, the experience was very nice. Service was decent considering it was very busy on a Friday evening. They bus the dishes quickly & food came out fast. However, the food was just mediocre. It was overpriced to me -- but perhaps this is the Buckhead way? Go for the experience but don't have too high expectations for the food.

4.6/5 Service: Came here on a Sunday night to celebrate my birthday. It was empty so we were immediately seated and greeted 5 mins later by our waiter. He was extremely informative and patient when it came to recommendations and menu questions. Food: The deviled eggs were more savory than I expected but really good! Our cocktails were pretty tasty but not too strong. The brisket was good and tender, but the taste got tiring halfway through. As for the red snapper, it was nicely cooked and the smoked mashed potatoes were my fav!! I do wish we were able to sub for Mac and cheese as I seen many reviews saying it's good. Just keep in mind you can't sub that item, you'd have to buy it separately. Also, that key lime pie was perfect, not too sweet and not too citrusy. Ambiance: The inside is reallyyyy nice!! Perfect for a dressed up outing and occasion celebrations. The parking lot looks limited from what I saw, but it was free and open when we went. I will be back.

Food was great. Service was amazing. Ended up having the entire restaurant to ourselves. Definitely the perfect way to celebrate my birthday!!!! Red Velvet cake was not impressive.

Came here because it's new and I saw online that they have live entertainment. When we arrived parking was free and plentiful because the place was empty. I guess it's still too new. We enjoyed our food. We ordered a few different items but the top picks were the deviled eggs and the seabass. We didn't care for the crab cake. The lasagna was also good. We came on a Thursday and found out there was no entertainment. It would be nice if the posted an entertainment schedule online so people know when to come. It would also be nice if they had happy hour specials. I would come back but I would call ahead to confirm there will be performers.

I loved this dining experience. It is the epitome of grown and sexy. It's an intimate and cozy setting with m live jazz music and burlesque girls. Such a great atmosphere for a date night or even a girls night. Service was great and the food was even better. The Mac and cheese is CHEFS KISS. Even comes in a cute little copper pot. I've had better steak but I am still very open to trying other things on the menu.

Dial the number on the antique phone and the door magically opens. The staff super friendly and helpful. The bartenders are the best, clearly passionate about their work. I highly encourage you to try one or several of their signature cocktails. I sampled the Left Bank Martini and Vesper. As expected they are fully stocked with Pappy Bourbon, hard to find Amaro Noni. Ask a bartender about the ice block. The place is spacious unlike other speakeasys I've been to. Lots of niche areas with couch reservations, pool table available. No time for a cigar but that is on my list when I return. Food available from their upstairs sister restaurant.

I sat at the bar and had a little light banter with the bartender who is a brother looking to be in his late 30's-early 40's. When I asked about two fruity cocktails from the menu, he flat-out said he wasn't going to make them. That alone was off-putting. Trying to move forward, I asked what he specialized in, and he said he'd "come up with something." I agreed--but very clearly stated: no rum, because my body does not react well to it. After watching him make drinks for people who ordered after me, he eventually handed me a cocktail I never even saw him prepare. That already raised a flag. I took a few sips, and sure enough--my stomach immediately started reacting the exact way it does when I've had rum. When I asked what alcohol he used, he said, "I don't even know." That response alone tells you everything you need to know. At that point, I reminded him I specifically said no rum. Instead of taking accountability, he tried to argue and backtrack. Let me be clear--when a customer tells you not to use a specific liquor, you don't ignore it, guess, or "forget." That's basic service and basic respect. This situation completely threw off my evening, as I had plans afterward and ended up feeling sick. To make matters worse, I reached out to management and received no response. That lack of accountability speaks volumes. At the end of the day, this wasn't just a bad drink--it was careless service. This staff does not prioritize customer care, and that's a problem. If you choose to visit, be very direct, pay close attention, and don't assume your requests will be respected.

Just a warning, the space inside is pretty small--typically there's optional seating outside, but it's really chilly at the moment (although they have heaters)--but there's more seating downstairs in The Victorian Atlanta plant shop. I didn't realize that the two were connected! FYI, if you sit downstairs, you'll be seated next to where the live music performers will be playing, so it will be louder there. As for the drinks, I tried the Zombie. I loved it so much, I ordered a second one instead of trying a different one! It tasted sweet and slightly tropical with the rum and spiced liqueur. It also had some absinthe, which I was worried about when I first ordered it since I hate the taste of it (not a big fan of black licorice flavors), but I didn't taste it at all! Overall, this place had such a great vibe to it!

This year the drinks were blah, the food was mediocre, the vibe was non-existent, and the service was the bare minimal. I have been to other pop-ups this year and would recommend any of them over this include Rreal Taco down the street or Hamp & Harry's or even just picking up the Grinch Happy Meal at McDonald's. Pros: Parking onsite, Reservations (sort of), friendly host (best part of the experience) and server (but absent), nice decorations. Cons: Expensive, boring drinks, overcooked and poorly plated food, not a lively nor festive vibe, poor communication and customer service. Even though this is the only pop-up pre-charging for their event and it was significantly more than a year ago, we liked having a booked time and it was a great experience previously so we booked in early November, but within an hour of booking, we had to adjust the time via OpenTable to a couple hours later. Faster forward to two days before our booking. Confirmations comes in and we notice it is the old time. Called, left messages, send messages through multiple means. Zero response. Called the next day and finally reached the manager who said that the time we wanted wasn't available even though it was the day before so took a later option at 730. Arrive on time but they don't have a table. While waiting they seat us in another area and offer extras since they are late...but they bring chips and salsa 30 mins after 730 when we were supposed to be seat 10-15 mins after we arrive. No waters or anything. Bring complementary margaritas at 810 but only 4 and there are 6 of us. The waitress was dismissive and there was no one else in the bar when we got there. Finally seated at 830 even though they are timed reservations and said they were going to be asking people to wrap within 15 mins of 730. Food was so basic and slapped on the table. Drinks were not festive at all. Ran out of hot chocolate. No festive cups or anything. It was the most mediocre experience I have had. Skip it!
