I went for the Sunday brunch. It was delicious, and the price was just right. Love the music and the vibe when it starts warming up.It'll be nice to sit outside, but they have the inside air coming in pleasant atmosphere. All the food was good.I felt like a little pig trying everything so I couldn't even try because it was just so much where you gain a few pounds, so don't go counting calories. The service was good with the exception of our second table were Seven - seemed to be having a bad day and questioned the age of my granddaughter, where she did not look older than twelve (she's11).He upheld his stance, saying he's only going by policy claiming we needed to show proof of age from her school login or something. When the situation was rectified, he didn't even apologize. Otherwise I will go back and make sure that he is not my server. Then, my rating will be 5

Wow!!! This was the first time having their steak &frites on the menu and it was sooooo good! It was one of the best steaks I've had...and the sauce was amazing. The brussel sprouts with hot honey were delicious as well. Service at the bar was stellar! The King's Legacy was amazing. The DI was playing all the jams. Everyone is so friendly yet professional. You for such a great dining experience!

Attended Mother's Day brunch and we really enjoyed the buffet serve style food. The server was nice and very attentive. The ambiance of the bar and patio were great on a nice warm day. 2 drawbacks were the music was too loud where it was difficult to hear my mom. Additionally we had to wait several minutes for clean plates. And be prepared for valet parking for $8 next door. I'd probably return to try their dinner menu as every food item for brunch was good

Food was exceptional; the dj kept the vibe high but never had the music blaring so much that would prevent normal table conversations. The drinks were blended perfectly---Highly Recommended

FRIED CHICKEN, SHRIMP GUMBO (WITH CHORIZO) on my plate. Wifey had a mixture of breakfast items.

Easter brunch at this buffet style restaurant. The food was excellent and freshly prepared with breakfast and lunch options. The service was pretty good but mainly for the drinks and coffee since it is buffet. The ambiance is very casual and laid back for the surrounding area of 4th Ward. Only negative is the parking situation an be risky. Come early and please do the reservation to ensure you have a good experience.

First time in Atlanta. The vibe was great. The food was good. The cornbread was delicious. The ribs for appetizer were perfect to share for the table. The fish was a little under seasoned. The Piccadilla was chef's kiss good! Our server was a doll and really knew the menu which I loved. My only feedback is that they need to buss/reset tables before the following course comes out. We each had a plate with our appetizer rib bone sitting in front of us until the dessert menus were dropped. I was really confused and kept waiting to see when a server, food runner, or busser was going to notice bones just sitting next to our food for the entire meal.

10/10 service and I had my first ever deviled egg there and fell in love. The ribs were flawless as well. For a quick dinner while on a work trip this was a fantastic experience.

Chef Marcus has been one of my favorite chefs since I discovered the Food Network back in grad school. I was so excited when I learned that he was opening up a restaurant here in Atlanta. Upon entering I was so happy to see the decor. It was very nice. Very kind of old school retro homage to and good music; it was a very nice space. We ordered a couple of different dishes and shared everything and the food overall was quite good. I felt like some of the drinks/cocktails missed the mark and our server was nice, but they could have been a little bit more knowledgeable about the menu. Overall though, this was a good experience and I would definitely go back and try out some other things.

I'm really angry!! Why didn't anyone tell me about this place??? How could I have not known that the best brisket on the planet was being cooked on a blazing furnace in thw Ols Fourth Ward?! Well, I know now and I am doing my job by making sure that you know about it. I knew that this place is special when I walked in the door. An old converted garage is now funky restaurant on Edgewood Avenue. When you come in, the wonderful smoke smell grabs you and seduces you into a chance. Half of you is in your childhood remembering when uncle Joe was on the barbecue grill. The other half is in the future, imagining yourself eating something wonderful. Then your eye is caught by the fiery furnace out of which magical food appears. The decor is modern and kitschy and perfect. I was in love! Server was gracious and friendly. He he was attentive and was always where you needed him doing what you needed him to do when you needed him to do it. I'm so sorry that I didn't get his name... But you will know him because he has the best glasses you ever saw! Of course it was the brisket sandwich talk with the most delicious peaky barbecue sauce... Oh my God I won't even talk about it. You just have to go try it for yourself. It was amazing. Our visit was topped off when we had an opportunity to meet the executive chef, Gary Caldwell. Such a nice guy! He was very friendly and stayed to talk a while. My dining companions and I decided that our bucket list now involves visiting all of Marcus' restaurants. He hired Gary Caldwell so clearly he knows talent when he sees it! I can't wait to go back. We're already making plans... if you're smart I'll see you there!

In town for a concert and my friend suggested we try this place. I had no idea it was a buffet. I would have skipped because I don't feel I eat enough for a buffet style restaurant. It was $45/person. I think that's fair-especially the variety they offer. They have seafood, beef, pork, chicken, and lots of sides. They even have a grill outdoors that offered prawns and crab legs (but I couldn't find any butter for dipping) It's very loud in here. It was hard to have small talk with my table mates. I wish there were more dessert options. The banana pudding was far from actually banana pudding. The service was great! I did try a cocktail (crown apple, cranberry, ginger beer and I think peach schnapps) it was terrible. I love all those ingredients but it did it taste good at all. The waitress did say their dinner menu is really good! Maybe I'll give it a try next time I'm in town.

My husband and I are huge fans of cooking shows and Marcus Samuelsson is one of our favorite celebrity chefs, hands down. Yes, we are those people, and we were so excited to try one of his restaurants! We had a reservation and got seated right away. The ambiance is super bustling and fun, with a wall of roller skates, shadowboxes behind the bar with Marcus-like hats and other little knickknacks, and a little shrine to Prince at the kitchen pass. Our server was a little on the quiet side, but he still was excellent at everything, including questions and recommendations. He told us that everyone loves to start with the M's Corn Bread because it's that good, and OH MY - he was so right. It was almost a dessert, with a huge dollop of sweet honey butter on top and salty giant cornbread cake below. Yum! We also got a few heartier starters, as this was our big blow-out meal before we left Atlanta. Our first appetizer was the Deviled Eggs. I consider myself a deviled egg aficionado, and these were top notch. Creamy, unctuous, and with little chitlins on top for some crunch. Smaller app, but I definitely recommend. We next had the Lobster Gnocchi, and WOW. It was a large portion of pillowy lobster gnocchi, chunks of lobster itself, and a huge bed of lobster butter that was almost a lobstery marinara. This one was more on the expensive side, but totally worth it! When we decided on entrees, we got two different things to share so we could each try both. I got the B&G Smashburger, because I hadn't had a burger in Atlanta yet on our trip, and it has the restaurant's name in it, so it had to be good, right? Yes! It was so perfectly cooked, and had a delicious onion jam on it that gave it a slight sweetness, along with a garlic aioli for a little tang to counterbalance the jam. It also came with some very well seasoned fries, so it's a lot of food! We got a side of the Mac and Cheese to split also, made with sharp cheddar and toasted on top to make a cheesy crust topping. My mouth is watering again just talking about that mac and cheese. My husband went on the lighter side for his entree, and got the Miso Salmon. The salmon filet was grilled to perfection, and came atop a bed of crab fried rice and a red curry sauce. And it came with a pea puree that would put the Top Chef cheftestants to shame. Neither of us could finish either of our entrees, but we were not sad about that - we were saving room for dessert! Again, we chose two to share. I got the Banana Pudding, and it was heavenly for this banana lover. It had the banana pudding itself, obviously, but the jar it came in was lined with salted caramel, vanilla wafers, and vanilla cream on top! The different components gave it a great crunch to counterbalance the soft pudding, and the salty/sweet combination was amazing too with the salted caramel cutting all the sweet parts! Our second dessert that we shared was the Sticky Bun. This tasted like Christmas in a little bun! Cinnamon, pecan, other spiced flavors - and topped with vanilla ice cream. If you're a fan of spice cake or cinnamon, this one is for you. Sooooo good. So if you couldn't tell from my novel of a review, we had the absolute best time at Marcus B&G in Atlanta. We left with VERY full stomachs (and empty wallets LOL) but we had no regrets. If you're a fan of Marcus or just a fan of really great food, definitely head to Edgewood and dine at Marcus Bar and Grille!

Overrated!!!! Maybe we ate to late and the Chef was off!!! The ambiance was nice and love the bar area we at in.. very open. The tables a little to close and I could even reach over and eat with guest beside me, lol. I tried it and I checked this off the bucket list.

Horrible!! I was so excited and made reservations Two weeks in advance because I wanted to try Marcus samuelson's food and have been a fan for a long time. We were treated horribly from the moment we walked in and they kept seeing other people's reservations, but they would not see us even though we were standing there and first and we had our whole party there. Then the menu was nothing that they promised and advertised. And I'm sorry but the prices for the value of food just no. But all of that on Mother's Day WOULD have been OK we would have stuck around, but they had to use it so loud that we couldn't even speak to each other. It was worse than being in a club. We had to scream over each other. They also put us at a table in the middle of the floor and I was sitting normal and they kept telling me to move my seat so they can walk by me and they work there and they're the ones that put me in that table. Meanwhile, the lady behind me who is sitting in the middle floor, they didn't say a word to. Never again we left and went to Lady Bird where we were treated with respect the people there were so rude when we tried to order eliminated instead of Sprite she said that they were too busy to accommodate that lol... I'm sorry but Marcus Samuelsson needs to get some different staff and have some secret shoppers because that place is going to get shut down with the way they treat people and if he's not doing well it's because of the treatment!!! the picture included is what was advertised, but that is not what they offered. They only have like five options. Most of them were about $50-$60 didn't come with any sides and it was things like fried rice....

As for the drinks, I tried the Zombie. I loved it so much, I ordered a second one instead of trying a different one! It tasted sweet and slightly tropical with the rum and spiced liqueur. What a cool place. Discovered it incidentally while in downtown Atlanta. Upscale with a dress code…read morethankfully. The entrance code can be obtained from their website or local hotel concierges. Dial the number on the antique phone and the door magically opens. The staff super friendly and helpful. The bartenders are the best, clearly passionate about their work. I highly encourage you to try one or several of their signature cocktails. I sampled the Left Bank Martini and Vesper. As expected they are fully stocked with Pappy Bourbon, hard to find Amaro Noni. Ask a bartender about the ice block. The place is spacious unlike other speakeasys I've been to. Lots of niche areas with couch reservations, pool table available. No time for a cigar but that is on my list when I return. Food available from their upstairs sister restaurant.

I sat at the bar and had a little light banter with the bartender who is a brother looking to be in his late 30's-early 40's. When I asked about two fruity cocktails from the menu, he flat-out said he wasn't going to make them. That alone was off-putting. Trying to move forward, I asked what he specialized in, and he said he'd "come up with something." I agreed--but very clearly stated: no rum, because my body does not react well to it. After watching him make drinks for people who ordered after me, he eventually handed me a cocktail I never even saw him prepare. That already raised a flag. I took a few sips, and sure enough--my stomach immediately started reacting the exact way it does when I've had rum. When I asked what alcohol he used, he said, "I don't even know." That response alone tells you everything you need to know. At that point, I reminded him I specifically said no rum. Instead of taking accountability, he tried to argue and backtrack. Let me be clear--when a customer tells you not to use a specific liquor, you don't ignore it, guess, or "forget." That's basic service and basic respect. This situation completely threw off my evening, as I had plans afterward and ended up feeling sick. To make matters worse, I reached out to management and received no response. That lack of accountability speaks volumes. At the end of the day, this wasn't just a bad drink--it was careless service. This staff does not prioritize customer care, and that's a problem. If you choose to visit, be very direct, pay close attention, and don't assume your requests will be respected.

Italian Steakhouse Says It All - The Best of All Worlds…read more Walked into IL Premio on a Monday night and was told there was an hour wait for a table, so I headed to the bar- fortunately, a seat was open. I started with one of my favorite Reposados by Herradura. For my Crudi, I ordered the Ricciola alla Puttanesca, what i thought was going to be a classic Italian seafood dish that traditionally features ricciola (Italian amberjack) in puttanesca sauce. The menu noted it was made with yellowtail, which piqued my curiosity. I expected the ricciola to be pan-seared or lightly grilled and finished with the sauce, or served with the sauce spooned over the top. To my surprise, the dish arrived as thinly sliced raw yellowtail, presented sashimi/crudo-style. Each slice was topped with a small amount of sauce infused with capers, Taggiasca olives, Calabrese chiles, and possibly sun-dried tomatoes, all classic puttanesca ingredients. Microgreens completed the presentation. This could be described as a "ricciola crudo with puttanesca-style garnish" rather than a traditional cooked ricciola alla puttanesca. Essentially, the chef uses the puttanesca flavor profile (capers, olives, chiles, tomato, oil) as a raw topping instead of cooking the fish in the sauce. While it's raw, it's a modern, crudo-style interpretation inspired by puttanesca flavors and I'm a fan. I'll order it again and again. For my Secondi, I had the Risotto ai Funghi, a classic Italian dish featuring creamy arborio rice with shiitake and hen-of-the-woods (maitake) mushrooms and a hint of lemon. Served piping hot, it was rich, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. For dessert, I enjoyed another Reposado by Herradura. IL Premio is so much more than a steakhouse. The food is thoughtfully prepared, the atmosphere is refined, service by Janlan was excellent and it is a fitting restaurant for an outstanding hotel property.
