Been wanting to try this place for a while but I was very disappointed. The service was really slow. The food menu was really extra and they don't let you modify anything even if you have an allergy. I just don't think the food is worth the price, the food was just mediocre.

Food was great. Our server Bri, not so much. She was rude, short and rarely checked on my table. She was very attentive to the table next to us though, went out of her way to serve them but if we asked for spoons, cheese in our grits, or an over easy egg, she rolled her eyes. I'd go back but would definitely request another server if I got her again. Prices were decent, except for 20% server charge that wasn't deserved, 75 cent charge for shredded cheese, $1.50 for changing egg to over easy instead of scrambled. Oh yeah and when my sister asked for an over easy egg instead of a folded egg, our server Bri said no. For 4 people we paid $140 all together, not bad. Soul food egg rolls were AWFUL and they smelled bad too. No dairy free options either btw. Cute aesthetic though, wished the service matched it.

I have not been here in ages! Me and my friend wanted brunch and decided to Lyft on over :) Location: really easy to get to. They have valet parking only so be aware! If you are close by probably best to Uber or Lyft over. Also - very important! Reservations are not offered here so the line is always out the door. Wait time was about 20-25 mins so not a long wait but do be prepared the wait times vary. Atmosphere: the inside is lovely! Can't wait to go again.

Good not great. More like a 3.6 so I'll round-up. I'm not a coffee drinker so I was blown when the server informed me that they don't serve diet Coke, only regular Coke and Sprite. Oh, and the bottle is $6 no refills. This was a very bad start to say the least.. Lol! I mean, high end restaurants gives you unlimited refills so please stop feeling yourself. Smh! Service was great and the food was good. My waffles came out lukewarm but I know it's hard to keep waffles hot, so no point deduction there. The chicken wings were cooked to perfection! We both ordered smoothies that were expensive but good..lol! All and all, Breakfast a Barneys was a positive experience, especially with the $5 valet parking for your convenience! I'm not sure if I'll return since there's sooooo many options in the A and I only get to come down once or twice a year.. We shall see!

We enjoyed the food so much we came here twice. Came on a Friday loved the server's energy and service. the food was delicious. Saturday was busier day.., the server that day was so so and not in a rush to get anything gave us the bill before we asked for it . I get the turn & burn but she didn't give us the chance to ask for dessert.. Despite the second experience, when in town again, we'll definitely stop here.

I wish I had higher regards, unfortunately I don't. The only have valet parking only, I went on a Monday Morning at 8am, I was the only person in the restaurant, and still had to pay $5 for parking. I ordered scrambled eggs, chicken sausage, fruit, and the waffle. The eggs tasted like rubber. The waffle was decent, on equal par with Waffle House honestly. The chicken sausage was also pretty good. Personally the good here is just okay. But the brunch scene is what they are known for. Hope this was helpful. You're welcome!

I really enjoyed the food here. It was worth the wait since I had been avoiding this place due to the lines/wait times. I valet parked which I believe was $5? But there seemed to be a few street parking spots nearby. I walked in on a Tuesday (?) and was immediately seated at the bar per my request. The bartender was friendly and I found it interesting that they kept reiterating that this is a cashless restaurant. Maybe they've had issues with that? I thought the decor was lovely and chic. They had a framed tv playing The Fresh Prince I think. I ordered the Emperor's breakfast which came with eggs, turkey sausage, brioche toast, house made jam, and I chose creamy grits as my side. My goodness, everything was delicious, especially those grits! Waaay better than any other creamy grits I've had in Atlanta. The brioche toast and jam was so good. I ordered a coffee for my beverage which wasn't the best. Not sure if they do lattes or anything either. Unfortunate since this is a breakfast restaurant. I'd definitely come back here and hopefully I can get in the next time that I do :-), I see why the wait is so long.

This is not our first time here. And service is as good as always. I also find that some dishes are consistently good while other are a hit and miss. Sausage side was a disaster. Dry and stretchy ....probably precooked and kept under the food warner for too long. Even the classic peach cobbler was not up to mark. We were told that they might have changed the recipe to add more crust. Lobster Mac and cheese and shrimp and grits were really good as always. One thing I have an issue with is their 'no modification policy'. I understand the need to maintain the intended flavor but not having flexibility to accommodate individual restrictions or tastes is definitely not a good inclusive approach for a hospitality business. We celebrated a Sweet 16 here, due to size of party we were seated in the Rich Life Room. The decor is cute for pics even in the bathroom. I had a peach Bellini and the Yard Bird (Chicken & Waffles). Service was great and everyone enjoyed their food. Would def go back again despite the valet leaving with my key and having to wait for it to come back in an uber .

The girls and I were in town for the Cowboy Carter tour & landed on Breakfast at Barney's for brunch. Such a cute establishment! It's a little small & the wait time was long but also expected. We ordered a drink & yapped while we waited so the time flew by. I order the soul rolls as an appetizer for the table. It was a lot going on in the roll and I thought they were good but I wouldn't have to order them again BUT my entree, whew! Amazing! I had the Mac & kale w/ the fried lobster tail. The batter on the lobster tail was so yummy & the food came out hot (like I like it! Haha). Overall, we had a great experience & I would visit again. There were other items on the menu that I wanted to try as well.

Let's talk about the ambiance first. Beautiful art deco decor with tones of emerald green, gold and salmon. A beautiful asymmetric flower arbor at the door and a lovely mural near the valet area. All great spaces for photo ops. My friend and I sat at the bar and was right on time. We got the last seats and it was busy from then on out. Make a reservation to be safe. Our server was friendly. I got the steak and eggs... my steak was overcooked but tasty. My friend had the salmon croquettes, she wasn't wowed but we enjoyed our girl time together. Please note that there are no modifications allowed to dishes. Check the menu before going especially if you have dietary restrictions. Great spot for getting cute and enjoying brunch with friends. Parking. I went on a Monday morning. Valet was $5 with went directly to the valet attendant. He was very hardworking and professional. He was the only one working but was as efficient as he could be. Maybe the valet station has more staffing on other days.

Shrimp and grits from Breakfast at Barney's
    Kimberly L.

The nastiest grits I EVER had! Service horrible ! Very unpleasant manager! ONLY tasted the grits and shrimp! I have never had nasty grits until this visit ! Black owned non compensating operation. How do you cheat your customers out of a meal? Nothing offered just paid for a meal I didn't eat. Had the nerve to ask if I wanted them to bag it up to give it to someone else . I wouldn't feed this food to my dog ! Zero stars needed

    Peach Cobbler Chicken and Waffles
    Mira M.

Insane. Delicious. Drool-worthy. I got the peach cobbler chicken and waffles, eggs with cheese, and sweet tea. What worked: -- really friendly staff with quick service -- there was a long wait to be seated but it moved quickly -- the chicken on the waffles was well seasoned, moist, and light (since they used breast) -- the peaches and waffles were delicious and sweet, and there was a good waffle to syrup ratio -- the cheesy eggs and sweet tea (we're talking Southern sweet) were delightful -- the space was crowded and lively, with a DJ playing music outside. Not great for deep conversation but good for hanging out or celebrating something What didn't work: -- they didn't have just normal tap water. Everything (except for coffee) was bottled, which you had to pay for. My sweet tea was awesome but I definitely would've appreciated a glass of water to break up the sugar -- I really wish the chicken and waffles had something fresh with them. Some chopped mint, fruit, veggies, anything to break up the sweetness and heaviness Overall, I'd most definitely return the next time I'm in Atlanta. You're in for an artery clogging experience, but it's very worthwhile!

You must do that in person at the hostess stand

There is no waitlist. Business needs to update so customers can discontinue the wild goose chase right?

I sat at the bar and had a little light banter with the bartender who is a brother looking to be in his late 30's-early 40's. When I asked about two fruity cocktails from the menu, he flat-out said he wasn't going to make them. That alone was off-putting. Trying to move forward, I asked what he specialized in, and he said he'd "come up with something." I agreed--but very clearly stated: no rum, because my body does not react well to it. After watching him make drinks for people who ordered after me, he eventually handed me a cocktail I never even saw him prepare. That already raised a flag. I took a few sips, and sure enough--my stomach immediately started reacting the exact way it does when I've had rum. When I asked what alcohol he used, he said, "I don't even know." That response alone tells you everything you need to know. At that point, I reminded him I specifically said no rum. Instead of taking accountability, he tried to argue and backtrack. Let me be clear--when a customer tells you not to use a specific liquor, you don't ignore it, guess, or "forget." That's basic service and basic respect. This situation completely threw off my evening, as I had plans afterward and ended up feeling sick. To make matters worse, I reached out to management and received no response. That lack of accountability speaks volumes. At the end of the day, this wasn't just a bad drink--it was careless service. This staff does not prioritize customer care, and that's a problem. If you choose to visit, be very direct, pay close attention, and don't assume your requests will be respected.
