My omelette was dry and $10 gave you NOTHING it's a "Build Your Own Omelette" but each ingredient comes separately. I think the eggs are powdered because they come in one consistency and don't taste fresh. Ridiculous for such a "nice" restaurant. Grits were the best part but VERY milky. Breakfast at Barney's never misses for me. The Yard Bird and Waffles is my go to and it is always so good. The chicken is seasoned and crispy, the waffles are fluffy, and together they just work. It is one of those plates you think about later in the day like "wow, I really ate good this morning." The vibe is lively and cute, very Atlanta, and perfect for brunch with friends or when you want a little moment to treat yourself. Food was great. Our server Bri, not so much. She was rude, short and rarely checked on my table. She was very attentive to the table next to us though, went out of her way to serve them but if we asked for spoons, cheese in our grits, or an over easy egg, she rolled her eyes. I'd go back but would definitely request another server if I got her again. Prices were decent, except for 20% server charge that wasn't deserved, 75 cent charge for shredded cheese, $1.50 for changing egg to over easy instead of scrambled. I have not been here in ages! Me and my friend wanted brunch and decided to Lyft on over :) Location: really easy to get to. They have valet parking only so be aware! If you are close by probably best to Uber or Lyft over. Also - very important! Reservations are not offered here so the line is always out the door. Good not great. More like a 3.6 so I'll round-up. I'm not a coffee drinker so I was blown when the server informed me that they don't serve diet Coke, only regular Coke and Sprite. I wish I had higher regards, unfortunately I don't. The only have valet parking only, I went on a Monday Morning at 8am, I was the only person in the restaurant, and still had to pay $5 for parking. I ordered scrambled eggs, chicken sausage, fruit, and the waffle. The eggs tasted like rubber. The waffle was decent, on equal par with Waffle House honestly. I really enjoyed the food here. It was worth the wait since I had been avoiding this place due to the lines/wait times. I valet parked which I believe was $5? But there seemed to be a few street parking spots nearby. I walked in on a Tuesday (?) and was immediately seated at the bar per my request. The bartender was friendly and I found it interesting that they kept reiterating that this is a cashless restaurant. Maybe they've had issues with that? I thought the decor was lovely and chic. They had a framed tv playing The Fresh Prince I think. I ordered the Emperor's breakfast which came with eggs, turkey sausage, brioche toast, house made jam, and I chose creamy grits as my side. My goodness, everything was delicious, especially those grits! Waaay better than any other creamy grits I've had in Atlanta. The brioche toast and jam was so good. This is not our first time here. And service is as good as always. I also find that some dishes are consistently good while other are a hit and miss. Sausage side was a disaster. Dry and stretchy ....probably precooked and kept under the food warner for too long. Even the classic peach cobbler was not up to mark. We were told that they might have changed the recipe to add more crust. Lobster Mac and cheese and shrimp and grits were really good as always. One thing I have an issue with is their 'no modification policy'. I understand the need to maintain the intended flavor but not having flexibility to accommodate individual restrictions or tastes is definitely not a good inclusive approach for a hospitality business. All great spaces for photo ops. My friend and I sat at the bar and was right on time. We got the last seats and it was busy from then on out. Make a reservation to be safe. Our server was friendly. I got the steak and eggs... my steak was overcooked but tasty. My friend had the salmon croquettes, she wasn't wowed but we enjoyed our girl time together. What worked: -- really friendly staff with quick service -- there was a long wait to be seated but it moved quickly -- the chicken on the waffles was well seasoned, moist, and light (since they used breast) -- the peaches and waffles were delicious and sweet, and there was a good waffle to syrup ratio -- the cheesy eggs and sweet tea (we're talking Southern sweet) were delightful -- the space was crowded and lively, with a DJ playing music outside. Not great for deep conversation but good for hanging out or celebrating something What didn't work: -- they didn't have just normal tap water. Everything (except for coffee) was bottled, which you had to pay for. My sweet tea was awesome but I definitely would've appreciated a glass of water to break up the sugar -- I really wish the chicken and waffles had something fresh with them. Didn't have the best experience. This was our first time coming here and probably won't be back. They were short staffed on servers(which is fine given the holiday) so we sat at the bar. The mimosas were good, orange and watermelon. My MIL enjoyed her catfish and grits while I waited an additional 15-20m for my French toast. I had to keep requesting an eta and almost left. I've been wanting to go here for YEARS so I'm glad I finally got to try it out. It's very nicely decorated on the inside. There's a really big bar when you first walk in and they were playing Fresh Prince of Bel-Air which I thought was a nice touch lmao. A major strike against them though is that it literally felt like they were out of more than half of the brunch menu... Our server listed all the things they no longer had and we were like dang is there ANYTHING we can even eat? Lmao our server was really nice but also could have came around a little more frequently. The drinks were really good though and definitely were reasonably strong. Both of our meals were good. The pecan waffles in the chicken and waffles were better than expected and I enjoyed my breakfast sandwich though it was presented differently than I expected. Only valet is available; It's $5 and you have the option to tip the drivers as well. We started with the fried green tomatoes which was one of the best appetizers I've ever had. This is certainly a much try. For my entree I had the fried catfish sandwich with fries. The fries were fine; I didn't really care for the Parmesan they sprinkled on the fries. However, the sandwich was really good. It was well seasoned, cooked perfectly and the fillet was huge, so the bun coverage was exactly what I'd hoped for. I arrived at Breakfast at Barney's a couple minutes after opening, and I waited 10 minutes to be told to pick anywhere to sit. That was the only downside and why I took off a star, but the food was amazing. Anytime I can devour pancakes without syrup means the pancakes are pretty good! They were large enough for 2 or 3 people to share. Definitely worth the price. The middle was soft and the edges were extra crispy. The regular maple syrup not shown was good as well. I didn't use the syrup provided. I ordered the soul rolls to go. It was my Thanksgiving plate in an eggroll. I ate it cold, but it was still delicious and filing. Breakfast at Barney's was the first breakfast spot we decided to go to as new transplants and we were not disappointed. From the service to the food and atmosphere, all of it was amazing. There is a garage to park in but there is also parking on the street for those who think you need to pay for valet to eat here. They offer fresh watermelon juice, which I had and man was it refreshing! I ordered the lobster Mac with no extra lobster meat and that was enough for me. The lobster already came with lots of meat and the pasta mac was hot and cheesy! My boyfriend ordered a smoked ol' fashion which was actually served with tequila and it was surprisingly very good. I ordered a Moscow mule with whiskey and that was delicious. I will be asking for that substitution from now on. As for the atmosphere-- so pretty. I love the gold accents and the velvety booths. The lamb chops were very tough, although the flavor was good. Unfortunately, the service was lacking. We mentioned that the lamb chops were dry, and it was evident from the three untouched chops on the plate. Two people had only taken one bite from each, so it was clear we didn't eat them. There was no offer of a replacement or even an apology. When we asked for lemonade to go, the server said there were no refills, despite the circumstances. It would have been reasonable to offer a complimentary lemonade given the issues with the lamb chops. Overall, we won't be returning, as it wasn't worth the $101 spent on two orders of chicken and waffles and the TOUGH lamb chops! Pitbull teeth needed to eat those! read more

Horrible... let's start with the nice nasty way they told us "No substitutions" not even, please put my cheese on the side. Meanwhile they have substitutions in the fine print of their menu. The manager also had an extremely poor attitude and told us we'd have to wait outside in the freezing cold for the rest of our party to arrive. The service was great and the waitresses were very kind! We ordered the Yard bird, Shrimp and Grits, Salmon Croquettes, and the Savannah Fish and Grits. Everything was delicious. The grits were super creamy and flavorful, and the fish was fried to perfection! I love the vibe here, and it is one of my top brunch places when it comes to the food! The only issue I had that made me rate it 4/5 stars, is the soul rolls. They were supposed to be fried, but the outside was soggy like it was prefried and sitting on the counter until someone ordered it. It was not warm either. Barney's is a beautiful restaurant with a ton of space, plenty of variety(lots of non pork options), and great service. We've loved everything we have tried there. I got the lobster mac and greens The soul rolls And a piece of fried catfish The catfish was fried to absolute perfection. Not too hard and not too seasoned! I only got a single piece and it was a pretty nice size. The soul rolls were yummy as well! A good balance of all the components. The lobster was nice. Outside of the lobster on top, there wasn't any lobster inside! I wanted to try one more thing, but they aren't allowed to make modifications to orders. I forgot her name, but an employee kept coming by my table and asking where the others were. They were on the way. At one point, when I told her how far out they were, she said, "Hmmmmm." She was rude, making me uncomfortable. I could not control the speed of the other 2 people who were OTW. I told them that woman was being a punctual pain in the butt. I should've ordered the lamb, because the steak was overcooked by a long shot. Someone else ordered lamb and I got a piece. Yum. I also got a fruit cup with 1 or 2 strawberries and fruit that wasn't very tasty. The eggs were good and so was the toast. Coffee was good as well. I drank enough of it. LOL I gave it a 3 because of these things and the woman who made the ambience bad. I'm glad she didn't serve us. The server was very pleasant. I'm not sure I'm going back to that restaurant.
