    Rasta pasta with jerk salmon
    Felicia W.

My daughter's and I had the most amazing dining experience at Modish yesterday. We celebrated my oldest daughters birthday and could not have chosen a better restaurant. This was my second visit and I was not disappointed. PROS Service- Imani was an excellent server and bartender.. She was kind, patient and knowledgeable about the menu items. Food - The Rasta pasta with jerk salmon was Delish! Cocktail - Lady In Red FYI - I did tequila instead of Hennessy. Vibe - I've gone during the week and on a Saturday. During the week was chill and Saturday's are LIT. Pricing - Typical ATL prices. Three entrees, 3 cocktails, one hookah and 1 appetizer-$224 I'll absolutely be back to this aesthetically pleasing restaurant.

I came on a Thursday and Saturday night and enjoyed both visits. I love the ambiance and the DJ is on point! My waitress was super friendly and attentive. The spot is a little small, so reservations are a must on the weekend. Weekday I was able to just walk-in. On Thursday we ordered, calamari, bang shrimp, chicken empanadas and steak rolls. The bang shrimp was banging!! Everything else was ok a tad bit salty. We also ordered drinks and hookah which were both great. Saturday, we ordered Cajun pasta, lamb chops and salmon and a few drinks. All were good! I will definitely be back.

Came here for a birthday dinner and was more than pleased. I placed a reservation onlIne for 8 people, 2 days before my scheduled date (I like to live life on the edge). They quickly confirmed my reservation via email and answered all my questions. Modish is a new restaurant, they do not yet have the letterhead at the top of their storefront, so it is easy to miss if you're not looking carefully. They are located in a strip mall off of Buford highway with free parking, so it's very conveniently located. The decor is very nice, spacious but inviting and intimate. Music is BOMB, with a DJ spinning around 9 that evening (a Thursday). The drinks are wonderful, all very tasty and the thought out. My favorite is the Marble Glass, a drink that comes with a big bubble on top that you can POP! Crowd favorites are the Island Ting and the Lady in Red. Food is on point as well!! I was a little hesitant to come because the birthday girl needed her veggie options, but they had them and they were really good! My favorites were the Cajun pasta and the veggie tempura. My friends LOVED the ribeye and the lamb chops. We also ordered hookah, it was smooth and lasted for a long time. They have a happy hour menu from 7-9 that rocks too! Fanny was our server and she took wonderful care of us. The staff there really made us feel like family and I will absolutely be back.

The food was hit or Miss with a few things. I was initially surprised when they told us that they only do late night brunch on Fridays but we proceeded anyway. The steak was salty but eggs and potatoes were good Lamb chops did not have any crust, looked boiled but was seasoned well. Oxtail was great and spicy but the grits that it was served with were hard and inedible. Overall, not bad Our server was nice. The interior was cute and sort of different from what I have seen. Drinks were really good. I enjoyed the cocktails. 'Sweet misery' was sweet and strong! Loved the Georgia peach mule too. The place is located in a shopping complex so there is free parking. Their hookah was good! DJ was great too. They played 2000s pop, RnB and some afrobeats. I had a great time with my friends, I just wished the food was better than it was. Definitely will be back there!

I've seen this place all over and have been wanting to try it out. I came here on a Friday evening around 7:30ish and they were only serving brunch, so the menu was very limited. Them serving brunch is no issue to me because I loveeee brunch food lol. My only thing is that my waffle was pretty tough BUT my chicken had a really great taste. My sisters ended up getting a lemon drop and and a dusserita and they were both REALLY sweet! Although, the Dusserita kind of reminded me like margarita mix from the bottle. But the vibe here is super cute, and the DJ was playing some really good hits!!! Our server was so attentive and nice too! Truthfully I would have gave them 4 stars but my sisters both ended up getting sick the next day which could have potentially been either from the sweet drinks or fish and grits considering that's what they both ordered.

My experience with Mōd*ish is typically a good one. From the hospitality to nice ambient lighting. I loved my salmon burger with Brussels sprouts. They were the perfect compliment to the spinach on the sandwich. If you aren't into pork, be sure to order this burger with no bacon, sure to still taste superb! My food was the perfect temperature and everything was cooked to perfection, will be back again soon! Salmon Burger.

Modish turned out to be a delightful choice for a quick drink with a friend. The atmosphere, with at least three birthday dinners happening, was cute and inviting. It's evident why it's a popular spot for such occasions. While the pricing is on the higher side--I spent around $45 for a lemon drop and jerk chicken egg rolls--the ample seating and charming ambiance make it a great place for a dinner outing. If you're willing to splurge a bit, Modish offers a pleasant experience.

I wasn't impressed at all. I had high hopes for this place, as I discovered it on TikTok which makes everything look amazing. If you're looking for good food, I wouldn't bank on this spot. If you're looking for a good hookah and a cute (not strong) drink with a cuteish atmosphere, pull up. We ordered a spinach dip and steak egg rolls and I wasn't impressed by either. I also ordered the stuffed chicken breasts to go for my boyfriend with a side of mashed potatoes and that wasn't good either. The exterior definitely needs some work. A sign, a paint job, something. The interior, they did that! Super cute, but again - we're in the era of aesthetically pleasing restaurants with terrible food. I will say the DJ pulled up around 7pm and that contributed to the vibe as well. Probably won't be back.

I was so looking forward to this place and it was a let down. Firstly they don't even have a sign! Luckily my husband knew what the prior restaurant was called so he knew we were at the correct place. The inside was underwhelming which is crazy bc all the Tik Tok videos make this place look so glam. The food was not good. I forced myself to eat the suya which was tasteless. I had to drown it in the spice to give it some flavor. The Brussels sprouts were not crispy at all! They were steamed and might as well have come out of the microwave. The drinks were cool. The bartender was fun and did make some good drinks. Everything else was Blah!

I must say this place did not disappoint! We came for the food and hookah mostly, however, the drinks stole the show. Don't get me wrong the food was amazing, I've never had a brunch charcuterie board but it was delicious. The hookah was nice and our waitress (Daisha) came to check on us often. It was a live DJ playing the 2000s bops we were jammin baby! The ambiance was nice and the crowd wasn't bad. Parking was cool too. I'll definitely be returning.

Real Tacos was a great late-night stop and definitely lived up to the hype. We both ordered the $10…read moretaco meal (with a small $2 upcharge for some premium meats), and the value was excellent. I had the chicken and beef birria tacos with consommé, cilantro rice, and black beans. My partner went with the steak and al pastor tacos, Mexican rice, and refried beans. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned, they definitely don't skimp on the fillings. The margarita flight was also a fun choice and a great way to try different flavors. We noticed they also serve huge shareable cocktails and oversized shots that looked like a blast for groups. The atmosphere is lively, especially later in the evening, with a younger crowd and a fun, energetic vibe that makes it a great spot to hang out with friends. The only thing that rubbed us the wrong way happened right after we were seated. Chips and queso were brought to the table, and we naturally assumed they were complimentary, similar to chips or bread at many other restaurants. After we had already started eating them, our server came back and took them away because they weren't included. Our waitress was otherwise friendly and provided good service, but that initial interaction felt a little awkward. A quick heads-up when placing them on the table would have avoided the confusion entirely. Overall, the food, drinks, portions, and atmosphere were excellent, and that small misunderstanding wasn't enough to take away from an otherwise fantastic experience. We'd definitely come back the next time we're craving tacos and margaritas.

Halal tacos in a small store in a gas station - how can you get more authentic than that?…read more The meats served here are all halal, which is great! I got the beef Birria, steak Birria, and barbacoa tacos. The consommé itself was a little watery and tomato-y, but the tacos themselves were of decent quality and flavor. The beef Birria was better IMO than the steak, which was a little chewier. The barbacoa was definitely hands down my favorite - out of them it was the most flavorful and tender. The salsas they gave on the side were good too - spicy, tangy. The seating in the store is very limited (only a few tables, not well spaced out), large groups would be hard to accommodate.

I think I saved this spot due to some friends recommending it. Pretty decent food for a gas station…read morespot. The hubs choose x3 shrimp birria tacos while I had the beef birria quesadilla. I believe the meats here are halal. The crust of both the taco and quesadilla were crispy and had a nice cheese crunch. But trying other birria spots, these were okay. Good but nothing that would wow. The consome dip was actually pretty watered down. I know places make them differently as I've had versions with meat bits in them and another with rice. But their version was just watered down. The shrimp ratio was pretty sad. The beef is actually more bang for your buck. Though I didn't truly count the shrimps, there were about 3 or 4 of those baby shrimps. They didn't look nor tasted like they were doused in flavor. The shrimp was just so so. Sort of bland in taste imo. The beef had a nice kick of flavor. There was a good amount of beef to my surprise. Another friend's beef taco version looked like it was stuffed with meat as well. There was just ample seasoning and flavor with the beef. Psst. If you're thinking x3 tacos vs x1 whole quesadilla, go with the quesadilla. You're sort of getting another piece since the quesadilla is cut into four quadrants versus just 3 tacos. Though it's a different form on presentation, you're going to be getting more for the same exact price.
