Hummus and Pita
Anand D.

I have been to Habitat quite a few times in the past, but they have all been in the evening. This time around, I came around 6pm on a Sunday. I came with my wife and two of our other friends. We just came for drinks, and ended up getting some things to snack on as well. We got the hummus and guacamole, and then two of us got some espresso martinis and the others got some vodka sodas with lime. The service was really good. Albeit, it was a Sunday late afternoon, so it wasn't too busy. The times when I have been on a Friday night, the service has been terrible. I am not too sure about parking here, as we Ubered. Pretty decent spot to go to for a party mood or even just a chill laid-back kinda vibe.

Though some people suggested garage parking, it's $12.75. I suggest parking "valet" for $10. Though I'm not sure why it's called valet because you park yourself. Waitress was amazing for the most part, I hate that I can't remember her name. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and made sure we were good. For food, we had guac, chicken tings costras (tacos), and the carne asada fries. The guac was great and fresh. The tacos were so tasty, but absolutely 100% overpriced for what you get. I didn't try the fries, but my friend said they were good and they looked good. If I went back, I'd try those. The vibes were cute. On ig, they said it was tulum inspired. Cute decor and plenty of photo ops, but the overall vibe wasn't giving Tulum. The rooftop was somewhat mediocre. I happened to go on a night with wonderful weather and a cute sunset, but overall a bit underwhelming. The drinks were strong! I ordered the Frose & Chukum. The frose was yumm, but not completely frozen though my reservation was at 7. I would have expected it to be ready but no biggie. Still good and still strong. The Chukum...I would not recommend. It was bitter and hard to get down tbh. What was really disappointing was the chair across from us broke :/. "sections" they charge hundreds of dollars for. The leg on the couch broke. I watched the hostess try to fix it, then watched her move furniture in front of the broken leg, and then proceed to try to sit ppl there! That wasn't cool and someone could have really gotten hurt. Oh and we also inquired about the cost for the bottle service which starts at 9:45. For the small egg chair 2-seaters, it's 350 for bottle service, so quite pricey.

Mezcal old fashioned

My friends introduced me to this rooftop gem in Buckhead. I loved the vibe! Our server was Jae and she was awesome (definitely ask for her when you go). They have Taco Tuesday and a happy hour that ends at 7 pm (I'm unsure if HH is daily throughout the week). My friend ordered a Texas margarita and I had the happy hour mango margarita. We added a shot to our drinks because the mango margarita had a little too much juice. We ordered the mezcal old fashioned and the coconut mojito next and loved them. The food...omg. We had the chicken tinga and shrimp tacos on flour tortillas (just in case you don't prefer corn tortillas) from the regular menu. They were soooo good - well seasoned, tasty and a good portion size. There are plenty of places around the rooftop for photo ops. I definitely recommend that you give it a try it when you're in the area. Minor negatives: There are only 2 restrooms. It wasn't a problem tonight because it wasn't very crowded because it was a Tuesday night but I could see it possibly being an issue on a busier night. Upon entry there's a security guard who frisks male patrons and checks the purses of female patrons. As someone who's dined all over the city/world, I've never experienced something like this outside of my club days in my younger years. I know times are different in the city but none of the other Buckhead restaurants that l frequent do it. However, the security guard was very nice and they do this to everyone entering their establishment so you don't feel offended.

Bella was amazing! She made me a Chaman and Ella quiere and they were both amazing! I will definitely come back for some amazing cocktails and great vibes! Janet is great! The team is amazing! Next time I will try the food for the Brunch which I heard is amazing!

This is an interesting place, for sure. First of all, the parking was $10. Then, it should be noted there is a dress code. My date was made to take off his hat and leave it with security who then gave him a pat down and requested him to leave his pocket knife as well. It wasn't until we were seated that this made any sense to us. They turn into a night club at 10PM. we came here for dinner and drinks with an 8:15 reservation time. We were disappointed in the table/seating. I do not feel the table is an appropriate dinner table. It was tiny and uneven. The uneven table actually resulted in a spilled drink. Expect drinks to be 15-20 per cocktail. Our entire tab was $104 for 3 cocktails, a soda, chorizo queso, 2 tacos, and carne asada fries. The steak was flavorful and the drinks were incredible. I learned I love mezcal. also, the chorizo queso had thick pieces of sausage. The costras were extremely greasy with the only redeeming quality being the steak. Overall, given the table was not a real dinner table, this was not a $120 experience. Maybe $75 AT BEST. I feel the experience was inflated due to location and "vibe". It is an instagrammable place for cocktails but I would not return here again for the kitchen because the prices do not reflect the fact that you will be leaning over a tiny coffee table, hoping queso doesn't drop in your lap. An appropriate name would be "BAR and Kitchen" not "kitchen and bar" because the tables are more for a bar environment instead of a nice dinner environment. 2/5 dinner experience** I'm sure it's fun to drink and dance here, but given this was a dinner reservation, I would've preferred a real dinner table for the overall dinner price of $130 total for two people (parking, drinks, food, and tip). The drinks were phenomenal so, 3-star experience.

Came here with a few friends for a girls night out. We had an odd initial experience but it got better. We made a reservation but were late so we were told we wouldnt have a seat. However, there were tons of empty seats. We talked to the hostesses and asked why we could sit at the empty seats and the stated that we could sit but we would receive service from a waitress which I thought was odd. Once we sat down a waitress came over anyway to serve us and let us know that one of her table had gotten up and we could sit at her table if we wanted. From there things got way better. We tried the watermelon fresca's and a friend ordered a virgin mojito. Unfortunately, the virgin mojito cost the same as one with alcohol which was also odd. The DJ was fantastic and as the night went on, may of the tables were cleared so people could dance. I would definitely come back to enjoy more of the dj.

Habitat has some of the best upscale tacos in Atlanta. The steak costras tacos are absolutely delicious. For appetizer, we got the ceviche (even though it is an entree plate). The ceviche plate was very small and I don't think it should be considered an entree plate. It had oranges and tasted like orange juice. I wouldn't get it again. The cocktails were amazing as always. However, I am never impressed with their service. We were seated for 10mins+ before getting acknowledged by our server. The ambiance with the live dj is a nice touch and it kind of makes up for the service.

I had followed Habitat on Instagram for a while and it always looked like a vibe so when I got a chance to go I didn't hesitate. Me and a friend went on a Thursday night and honestly it wasn't too busy. There was probably about 20 people there total. I've heard that on the weekends it gets PACKED! The bar is a lot smaller then I was expecting, and there are only 2 bathrooms which I'm sure becomes a problem on a busy night. The aesthetics at Habitat are amazing it feels like you're in Tulum. Absolutely beautiful decor, the drinks are also top tier. I ordered margaritas the whole night, and they were all amazing. S/O to Chris! He knows what he's doing. The music was also great. Habitat solely plays Latin music so if you're not into Latin music...there's that. Also Habitat does have a dress code so I'd be sure to make sure you're dressed appropriately. Cool bar! I'll be back, you're welcome!

Had a girls night and this restaurant was recommended. We. Had a reservation for 5:45, but I was literally the first customer in there haha. Full roof top, mostly covered and really cute decor. Drinks were delicious and my steak quesadilla was everything!!!! The steak was cooked so perfectly and the cheese sweet baby Jesus the way it all came together was heavenly lol. I'll def go back!

This is my kind of spot! I joined a group here for some additional birthday shenanigans on a Sunday afternoon. We arrived around 4pm and were able to find a spot in the parking lot and was not forced to valet park. Apparently valet parking is a thing for this spot during their peak times. The bar is located on the upper level so you do have to take stairs up. The walkway to the bar is decorated so cute( see video for reference). Upon walking in we were greeted by staff and given the option to pick from several sofa and table sections. We opted for the one furthest away from the entrance. We were a group of 7 and were comfortable sitting in this section. Our wait staff was stellar. She provided each of us with the menu on our phones. She was also happy to offer both drink and food suggestions. We did have to wait until l5pm to place food orders, but we were able to order the salsa, guacamole and chips prior to 5pm. Several people with my group ordered alcoholic drinks. Everyone loved the ones they had. Some suggestions from the group would be the CARAJILLO, CHUKUM, snd CHAMAN. However, I have a feeling that you can't go wrong with any of the cocktails. The guacamole, salsa, and chips are A++++!! I ordered the Chicken Tinga Costras. The description for Costras is Corn tortilla, cheese crust and salsa (2 per order. The description for the Chicken Tinga is Chipotle marinated chicken, lettuce, crema, salsa verde. Essentially these are chicken tacos inside of a cheese taco shell! When I tell you that the tacos are everything I was told they would be!!! Yes I will be back to order these again and try other items from the menu. Everything is a win for me at this spot. The service was beyond great, the food was tasty, live band, cute ambiance. I will be back to enjoy the outside bar when the weather warms up! Maybe I will see you there!

Great rooftop vibe with my lady, here. Great music, food tasted pretty good and we both had drinks that could have been just a tad better. Lacked the goods of alcohol tbh. Dim lit setting, and they had fire warmers, but some weren't working. We requested one that was, and was told that the employee was "using it". Had we been able to be warmer, I would've given this place a 4star but we left earlier than expected due to being too cold. May return, may not.

Cute new open air restaurant/lounge above the Savi on Pharr. The restaurant features Mexican food and cocktails. Both good and drink were fine but you're paying for the ambiance. This is the type of place you want to arrive around 8/9 for a late dinner or drinks with friends. I enjoyed the hibiscus cocktails the most. Make a reservation! The restaurant fills up quickly and there is not much standing room. They also have couches and spaces for groups to lounge. They have a DJ as well. There is a small parking lot in front of the restaurant.

I went right at 5 when they opened so we were the only table there. The do check ids at the door. The food was really flavorful. The steak was perfectly cooked. The waitress was nice and the music was Latin. The roof top view was georgeous. I would definitely go back.

This year the drinks were blah, the food was mediocre, the vibe was non-existent, and the service was the bare minimal. I have been to other pop-ups this year and would recommend any of them over this include Rreal Taco down the street or Hamp & Harry's or even just picking up the Grinch Happy Meal at McDonald's. Pros: Parking onsite, Reservations (sort of), friendly host (best part of the experience) and server (but absent), nice decorations. Cons: Expensive, boring drinks, overcooked and poorly plated food, not a lively nor festive vibe, poor communication and customer service. Even though this is the only pop-up pre-charging for their event and it was significantly more than a year ago, we liked having a booked time and it was a great experience previously so we booked in early November, but within an hour of booking, we had to adjust the time via OpenTable to a couple hours later. Faster forward to two days before our booking. Confirmations comes in and we notice it is the old time. Called, left messages, send messages through multiple means. Zero response. Called the next day and finally reached the manager who said that the time we wanted wasn't available even though it was the day before so took a later option at 730. Arrive on time but they don't have a table. While waiting they seat us in another area and offer extras since they are late...but they bring chips and salsa 30 mins after 730 when we were supposed to be seat 10-15 mins after we arrive. No waters or anything. Bring complementary margaritas at 810 but only 4 and there are 6 of us. The waitress was dismissive and there was no one else in the bar when we got there. Finally seated at 830 even though they are timed reservations and said they were going to be asking people to wrap within 15 mins of 730. Food was so basic and slapped on the table. Drinks were not festive at all. Ran out of hot chocolate. No festive cups or anything. It was the most mediocre experience I have had. Skip it!
