This was my first visit to STK Steakhouse in Atlanta, and I really enjoyed the experience. The atmosphere is upscale and energetic, making it a great choice for a special dinner, date night, or even a solo evening. The staff outside greeted me warmly and checked me in, but once inside, the reception felt noticeably different. The staff seemed a little less friendly and somewhat snappy, which didn't quite match the welcoming atmosphere STK presents. Thankfully, once I was seated, my experience completely turned around. I was dining alone, and my server, Ana, was phenomenal. She was attentive without hovering, personable, and made excellent recommendations. The drink she suggested was delicious, and she also recommended the Brussels sprouts, which were amazing. I ordered the ribeye medium-well, and it was cooked just right. Even the bread with the butter and blue cheese was good. The rest of the service team was attentive as well. My plates were cleared promptly, and two managers stopped by during dinner to make sure everything was going well. As a solo diner, I especially appreciated receiving the same attention and level of service as any other table. STK is definitely on the pricier side, and the menu is largely à la carte, so keep that in mind when planning your visit. Still, if you're looking for an upscale dining experience and don't mind spending a little more, I recommend trying it. read more

We visited STK Atlanta on September 24 to celebrate our anniversary, with a 9:30 PM reservation. Unfortunately, what should have been a special evening turned into an extremely disappointing experience. After receiving our appetizers and drinks, we waited approximately TWO HOURS for our entrées. Other guests who arrived after us received their meals before we did. We eventually requested a manager, and she went in the back to check on our order. Then Casey our server after walking past us multiple times finally says "oh I was just going to check on that" and our food arrived about 20-25 minutes later which I could assume means they never even started our orders that we placed 2 HOURS AGO. Both steaks were excessively salty and had to be remade. We specifically requested medium, but the replacement steaks arrived undercooked. By this point, the restaurant was closing, and we had no reasonable option but to take the food home and finish cooking it ourselves. To make matters worse, the replacement steaks were missing the umami butter we paid an additional $24 for. When we questioned the resolution, our server, Casey, stated that the steaks would not be comped because we were taking them home. We weren't taking leftovers home by choice. We were taking home incorrectly prepared food after waiting hours and giving the restaurant multiple opportunities to correct the issue. Despite the manager stating, "This is on us," we ultimately paid $174.15, including tax and gratuity. Both my partner and I also experienced stomach discomfort after returning home. While we cannot confirm whether this was related to the meal, it added to our concerns about the experience. We specifically chose STK for our anniversary and left after midnight with food we couldn't even enjoy as intended. We were there for a birthday party (10 of us) and we were seated at 758 pm. We ordered at 8:15 pm and didn't receive appetizers until 10:05 pm which was about 10 minutes after we received the bread (bread was delicious btw) They have a special of $49 for ab3 course meal (Sun- Thurs) and the waiter acted as if it was a secret. It is a separate menu but it is well worth the price. I didn't like that you have to share dessert (dessert for 2 ppl) it gives the assumption that you will have someone with you or if someone is with you, you guys have to share. Everything else is per person. I ordered my steak medium and it came well done. They sent it back and the new one was medium rare. I waited so long that I just ate it. The steak was seasoned very well. The salad was great and so was the Mac. If it wasn't for the special, it definitely would have not been worth it. When you pay as much as you do at a steakhouse, I would hope the service, wait times and food would match the vibe in the restaurant. In fairness, they did give me an $18 discount on my steak for the mishap. But I had to pay half of that for parking because the validation is only for 2 hours. If your food takes two hours to get to you, well... nvm. Overall, It looks nice, but I would only go from Sunday to Thursday for the $49 special. And I would make sure I have a lot of time to spare. That said, the food is extremely overpriced, especially for dinner. They do offer a happy hour menu, which I ordered from, but it isn't available until 9:00 PM. That worked out for us since our reservation was at 8:00 PM. One thing to note: they wanted to charge us $55 just to cut a cake, which felt excessive. Overall, the food was okay, but not impressive enough to justify the pricing. They do validate parking for two hours if you park in the deck, but after that it's $3 every 30 minutes. Otherwise, they'll hand you the regular menu, which felt pretty overpriced. For an extra $20 per person, you can add two drinks, which makes the deal even better. The steaks were cooked exactly as requested, and the sides -the mac and cheese and asparagus were delicious. Also worth mentioning: the bread came out warm and fluffy, which was a nice touch. Part of my anniversary weekend me an my wife went STK Steakhouse yesterday and everything hit right. My cowgirl steak cooked medium well was juicy and full of flavor, just how I like it. The Yukon parmesan crusted potatoes were on point, and that cream spinach set it off. My wife's lamb chops though... next level . I just enjoyed my $9.99 burger and chips deal at STL. I got my burger to go, but it was such a great deal to experience a top-notch burger at such a low price for their lunch special. The burger was good, and the homemade chips were different since I usually prefer French fries with my burgers and chips with my sandwiches but the chips were so good I didn't mind. I am so disappointed to reduce my 4-star review to a 2-star review, and even more disappointed that my most recent visit didn't live up to the hype of my first time. Dined in on a Saturday evening in a party of 2, super excited to come back with my mind set on the steak w/ umami butter and those magical mashed potatoes from the first visit and honestly, the experience just fell flat. Beginning with the bread, it came out cold and barely had a smear of the blue cheese butter on top, which is the star of the show. Looking at the other tables, they had an abundance of the butter, so I'm not sure why we received different treatment. For a drink, I got their variation of the espresso martini with tequila, which was good! No complaints there. For my entree, I got their variation 6 oz filet with the umami butter which they serve table side and is pretty cool. I can honestly say, it didn't do much flavor wise. Whatever sauce they provided on the side was really delicious though! The brussel sprouts were okay -- could use a touch more salt as could the mashed potatoes. I'm not sure if their menu changed but comparing pictures of the mashed potatoes we got the first time with what we received this time, I can now see why the flavor was so lackluster this time! Service was lackluster and our waiter clearly had favorites in his interactions with other tables as I had to ask multiple times for something simple like a straw for our water. STK Atlanta ruined my 29th wedding anniversary lunch. Three separate steaks, three separate failures, and a bill that added insult to injury. I ordered a 16 oz ribeye, medium rare. The first arrived charred well past medium well -- inedible. I sent it back. The kitchen's idea of a fix was a completely different cut, a cowgirl bone-in ribeye, not what I ordered. Sent that back too. The third attempt was finally the right cut and still overcooked. I've eaten ribeyes for years and know exactly what medium rare looks and feels like and should taste like. STK's kitchen does not. By the third failure I gave up sending food back, not because it was acceptable, but because I refused to let their incompetence hijack the entire celebratory afternoon. The bill made it worse. Full price charged for two steaks, one credited back for "kitchen error" -- the least they could do after three attempts at one plate. Then I found a $2 charge for "on the rocks" on my Kettle One. Charging separately for ice in a cocktail is the kind of nickel-and-diming that has no place on a $500+ tab, let alone one that already represents a wasted anniversary and a horrible culinary experience. The manager on duty, India, treated our complaint as an inconvenience to her, not a failure on the restaurant's part. At no point did management take ownership of what should have been an easy fix on attempt one. Nothing more than the obligatory check-in. Our server Nyla was the only reason this didn't end in a full refund demand. She was attentive, apologetic, and clearly embarrassed by a kitchen that wasn't backing her up. She's a superstar! STK Atlanta cannot execute a simple medium rare ribeye. And they'll charge you $2 for the ice in your drink, while they botch it. Choose literally anywhere else for an occasion that matters. I sat at the bar for a full 20 minutes while two bartenders chatted nearby. Finally I caught someone's attention and ordered some food. She took my order begrudgingly it seemed. She didn't bring me any water or ask if I wanted to order a drink. The food arrived and it was decent. But she failed to check in or see if I needed anything else. She basically ghosted me. The ambiance was decent, but we found the seating arrangement a bit awkward, as we were facing other guests on all sides. The service was great. We were greeted within 50 seconds of entering. It wasn't a real since of urgency and they were not busy, so that wasn't understandable. It was during happy hour. We were so excited because it was our date night. We have heard so much about this restaurant and was excited only to end up being very disappointed. Our server was a bit relaxed but nice. She even whispered to me that it was thin, but no correction. No offer to get the Chef. We were offered some shot, but it took even a minute to get that. Came here recently for their $49 steak deal recently and had a decent experience. I think it's an affordable concept to get new customers in the door. I've been here before for HH but never for dinner so I was excited to try their menu. The $49 steak deal comes with a starter, entree, side and a dessert to share. I ordered the lil waygu beef sliders which were really good. Tastes like an elevated Big Ma from Mickey D's. I'm not a steak person so I'm glad they had other entree options to choose from. I got the sea bass. It was good. Not rave worthy. But decent. The sweet sauce threw me off a bit. The asparagus were grilled and a nice healthy size. The Mac n cheese was good as well. Not runny but is made Southern style. The dessert was the disappointing part. It took a good 25-30 minutes to come and they arrived cold. Our server truly began to slack towards the end. And when we sat down initially, it took a while for someone to finally come to the table so took off a star for the service. And also getting the wrong drink too. Historically, this is one of my favorite restaurants. I ordered a birthday dinner for my sister who had a layover in the area. Sadly, the staff were very rude to the service industry personnel picking up and delivering the order for her for even asking for Parmesan. They also forgot the main dish and only sent the salad which was later refunded by Uber. KINDNESS is free, professionalism is expected. I hope Management uses this as a teaching moment, as it hurts both their customer base and the service industry kids helping support their establishment. read more

I really don't know where to start here, I know it's Mother's Day but if you have a 7 o'clock reservation and you don't get to your table till 730 that's wrong. Point number one. Casey was a terrific server, but also was caught in the middle of a Mother's Day nightmare. Food was let's just say incredibly overpriced, good but at the end of the day for a couple of glasses of wine, glass of champagne, two entrées and one crabcake for $400 is outrageous. So, my recommendation on this particular restaurant is do not go on a holiday. Lastly, after I kind of begged for a table with the manager 15 minutes later, they put us upstairs (which I did not know even existed) and was about empty. We finally got a table. I was visiting Atlanta for a conference and STK was right by my hotel so my husband, son, and I decided to give it a try. The atmosphere is gorgeous and I like their half circle booths. I was able to reserve a table less than an hour that I planned to be there. It felt like a really cute date night spot. I had an idea of what I wanted since I peaked at the menu, but upon asking I was told I was looking at the pickup/delivery menu. I ended up thr braised short ribs and potatoes with a side of mac and cheese. My husband ordered the free range chicken with a side of Brussels sprouts. Drinks: Dragon's Flare and Perfect Margarita. We spent over $2K, I feel like we shouldn't have to track anyone down, but again great food. We also had some drinks at the bar and the receipt is emailed. (We did not get it.) Finally got a chance to stop by STK for their happy hour, I frequent this area and I have always told myself that I would stop and dine in one day. While I was between meetings I decided to take a trip. The restaurant was empty when I got inside, just how I like it. It is massive inside, when you are looking at the entrance from outside you wouldn't have a good idea of how much space it has inside. Plenty of seats, the bar area was a little small and since I was recording I sat at my own table. Service was A1, the waitress greeted me with a smile, gave me a run down on the menu, took my order quickly and I started eating not too long after I ordered. Again the restaurant was not busy, could be because it was still early, or because it was a Wednesday. But one would think more people would take advantage of the deals. Everything is very very miniature so you need to be very particular about what you order if you are hungry. I ordered the burger with fries and the quesadilla.
