Nashville Chicken sandwich and Mac and Cheese

9 Mile Station - Stunning Views, Solid Food, Minor Misses First things first, let's talk about the atmosphere. The walk from check-in to the actual restaurant was a bit excessive. It felt longer than it needed to be, and they could definitely benefit from having a more direct or convenient path. That said, once you arrive, it's absolutely worth it. The space is beautiful, and the rooftop view at night is stunning--easily one of the best parts of the entire experience. Service was great from start to finish. We were greeted, seated, and taken care of quickly, and the food came out fast and hot, which I always appreciate. For my entrée, I had the salmon over curried rice, and this was definitely the highlight. The rice was rich, flavorful, and well-balanced with coconut milk and just the right amount of spice. It wasn't overly tomato-heavy, and the curry didn't overpower the dish--it complemented everything perfectly. The salmon itself was flaky, juicy, and cooked very well. On the side, I had mashed potatoes with gravy, which I'd rate about a 6/10. After adding salt and pepper, it improved, but the gravy was a little questionable in flavor. It wasn't bad, just not something I'd go out of my way to order again. We also tried the spicy chicken sandwich, which was very good. The spice level wasn't overwhelming but had a nice kick. The mac and cheese was decent--good, but not quite that homemade, baked mac and cheese you crave. It also needed a little seasoning to really stand out. For everything we ordered, including two drinks and a bottle of water, the total came out to about $142. We were in and out in about 40 minutes, which made for a smooth overall experience. Between the beautiful rooftop views, quick service, and standout salmon dish, 9 Mile Station is definitely worth visiting. Just know that a few of the sides could use a little more attention to flavor. Thank you 9 Mile Station Team Kay Lachelle

The atmosphere was amazing! The waitress that we had was so fun to talk to. The food was delicious. I absolutely loved being able to see the city from the roof top.

Just getting up to the restaurant is an experience, you need to fill out a waiver to get up to the rooftop take a service elevator and once you're up there, you walk through somewhat of an amusement park on the roof with games and rides They have a very extensive list of beers and a few good drinks Their food selection is also very good. We did family style, but the portions are big. I had a salmon on a bed of curried rice and it was delicious with asparagus below it. The fried chicken sandwich was spicy, but very tasty and tangy Cool, ambience great for people watching they also have brunches we didn't get to enjoy it, but looks like fun. Very varied group of people go to this not just travelers, but locals enjoyed it as well.

We came here (group of 8) for brunch before our flight back home after a long weekend bachelorette party! I made reservations few weeks prior and was able to get one. It's located at the Ponce City Market. They had a parking garage where you could park, so it was easy enough to get parked. To get to the Nine Mile Station (it's on the rooftop) was so unique and fun! You do have to sign a waiver to get up there, but when you do (after going up an industrial elevator), you'll find a carnival! There are games and slides up there - really cute. It wasn't great weather though so the slide was closed. Walking into Nine Mile Station, super cute! Loved the vibes inside. Our server, Ryan, was amazing!!! He was sooo friendly and had great recommendations for us. He took care of us in a timely manner. Thank you Ryan for making our brunch experience with you guys so fun! For drinks, Ryan recommended the D's Sidecar and the Atlanta Panda. So pretty much everyone ordered those and they loved them! For my entree, I ordered the steak sandwich. It was VERY good! The potatoes... yum!! Then after, he brought out a dessert and champagne for our bride-to-be! So sweet! After we were done, Ryan showed us out to the rooftop where he recommended a good photo op and took our picture! We had a great brunch and sendoff for our bride to be - we highly recommend coming to Nine Mile Station! If I am ever back in town, definitely will come back!

The view is great and worth visiting at least once. That being said, after several very inconsistent visits over the years, I think it's best kept as a tourist attraction. Getting to the actual restaurant, much less leaving it once you're done, takes longer with every passing visit. I have had some really good dishes and some really so-so dishes here; most recently went for brunch and it was a bit bland and small portions for the price. I got the avocado toast with a crab cake. The crab cake was minuscule and I would not have added it on had I known. The eggs were undercooked. Husband got the huevos divorciados. Overall solid but lacking in seasoning. We both enjoyed our cocktails. Service was great.

Came here for a nice dinner on our night out in Atlanta and we had the best time! Our server was friendly and attentive. The food was really good we got the truffle fries, filet, and roasted chicken dishes and the beltline punch to drink absolutely no complaints about anything we sat outside on the patio and the view was fantastic. After dinner while cashing out through the QR code it said we should check out the 12 cocktail speakeasy so we asked our server he said it was by reservation only but when looking online we couldn't fine anywhere to make a reservation so he got the manager to personally walk us over and get us in! Great customer service! It was for our anniversary so we were stoked to be able to visit while here.

I was travelling to ATL and the trip happened to fall around my birthday. My friend discovered 9 Mile Station online so we made a resy and decided to give it a go. First, it's kinda difficult to find with the freight elevator and walk through The Roof attraction. When we got there, we decided to take a seat outside; although it was chilly, there are plenty of fire pits. We had a beautiful view of the skyline. Started with a lovely Sidecar, had the duck breast (more fatty and chewy than expected but taste was there) and my friend said the country fried chicken was great. The waitress was very helpful with her recommendations of dishes. The surprise brookie and bubbly was nice touch and I appreciate the gesture from the restaurant and staff.

Our first visit to 9 Mile Station was absolutely awesome--we had such a great time! If you're looking for a special night out, this is the spot. First off, the outdoor ambiance is just incredible. The sky view of the city is genuinely lovely; it's a view to die for and makes the whole atmosphere feel great. The food was very good, I had the Chicken Fried Steak with gravy, and my husband's salmon was also fantastic. A huge shout-out to our waitress, Riley! She was the best--super attentive, sweet, and nice. She made us feel completely welcome, especially since it was our first time visiting. She even surprised my husband with a sweet treat and a glass of champagne for both of us for my husband's birthday. We will definitely be back next month for my birthday! I highly recommend this place. Just a heads up: Give yourself at least 20 minutes before your reservation to check in and get settled at the top.

**Reservations are required to visit 9 Mile Station unless you want to pay the general admission fee to access Skyline Park** Fantastic skyline views, but the service was quite absent. I was a bit disappointed that the notes that I left under my Open Table reservation were not taken into account by the staff. I had written on my Open Table reservation that I was celebrating an anniversary, and I asked for a table with a nice view. When I arrived, they asked if I was celebrating anything - it was at that moment that I realized they didn't see my notes. We were originally seated at a table with a fairly obstructed view, but I spotted a table with a better view, it just hadn't been cleaned yet. I was thankful that they let us switch tables. However, the service for the rest of the night was incredibly slow. Perhaps they were giving us space to be present with one another, but it was too much space. There were times when we wanted to order more, but just couldn't find our server. Same story for the check - we were being obvious about looking around for our server, and it took a while for us to find them. Locating 9 Mile Station: Writing notes here because I had a hard time finding it. Go to the base floor of Ponce City Market and go outside into the courtyard area. There should be a stand across from the big set of stairs where you'll check in (the stand is across from Posman Books). From there, you'll enter a big freight elevator that'll take you up to the rooftop. You CANNOT access the rooftop on your own by taking stairs or elevators within PCM. They do not go that high. Given that you have to park, sign a waiver, and take the freight elevator, I would recommend arriving an extra 15-20 minutes before your reservation! Parking at PCM is paid only. I have yet to find close, free street parking. The rates are not terrible, it was a little over $5 for 2 hours. Despite the lacking service, I would still highly rec visiting 9 Mile Station. I love rooftop bars and this one was pretty cool. Feel free to check out Skyline Park as well while you're up there. Otherwise it costs money to access Skyline Park!

I went this evening with my sister here for a few small bites and drinks. The ambiance was nice and the service was amazing. Our server was Devin and he took care of us the minute we walked in. Made sure the food and drinks were to our liking. Over all great experience.

Came here for a work dinner and seems like the hot spot for most work dinners. Our service Katie was really nice and gave the table great recommendations. She was very aware of a food allergy and made sure to let the kitchen know and let us know multiple times that the food for that individual was carefully prepped. We got the calamari which had a nice batter on the outside along with some sweet peppers. The brussels had a sweet miso glaze with some crispy bacon and was really good. I ended up getting the dry aged pork chop, mashed potatoes with bone marrow gravy and garlickly green beans. The table got the reuben, fried chicken meal. striped bass and there was no complaints all over. Nice place to get dinner or hold a work dinner.

While looking for places to check out we came across this one & decided to stop by & give them a try. Instead of waiting for a table they had some seating at the bar we took it, nice & easy. Drinks we had House sangria, this was very good. On the food had the Truffle fries & Caesar salad, good truffle fries & good salad. Hubby had the country fried chicken, yummm this was so good! Nice location, service at the bar was good, nice views outside & prices were reasonable we enjoyed our food & drinks.

We were celebrating a birthday today and had a reservation for 9pm. This was after a long scavenger hunt on the belt line, so we were absolutely tired and wanted to sit down and have a good meal. This didn't seem solely on the restaurant, but it seemed like it was hotter in Ponce City Market - including 9 Mile Station - than it was outside. We were seated outside, and the view is gorgeous. However, the only form of lighting near us were the string lights along the fence. We could barely see the menus, and it was annoying because looking around, other tables were given small lights. On top of that, our table was next to the wall that separates the restaurant from the mini golf course. It was kind of awkward to have people just staring at us while they were leaning against the wall waiting for their turn in mini golf, but that may just be more of a personal preference than anything. Our server was also really awkward. He did mention that he was new, and it was only his first week working. We tried to give him grace, but I think we were more annoyed with management for giving a new hire such a large table. It was clear that he still needed training as when my friend mentioned that he had a pine nut allergy and wanted to check if there was any other entrees outside of the pesto that had pine nuts. The waiter said "Oh, well don't order it. Sorry, the kitchen is mean." Which is super odd because my friend wasn't looking to order the pesto but wanted to make sure no other entrees had pine nuts and ensure there was no cross contamination. The waiter did end up apologizing later without prompting from us saying it probably came off poorly, but I feel like I had to mention that. Honestly, I struggled between giving this place a 1 or 2 star review purely because the food was ok. However, the price point and some of the portion sizes were off. My husband ordered the duck breast, and it came with three pieces and like three asparagus for $42. We've ordered similar dishes before from other restaurants, and the duck is much larger and plated a lot cleaner. My husband really liked the fried calamari, and the brussel sprouts were a hit. By the end, we waited essentially an hour for a check because the waiter didn't really stop by our table. Even though we mentioned it was a birthday dinner, my friend did not get a birthday dessert, though we saw this offered to other tables. When our server did finally come to give us the check, he told us he couldn't split the tab because he didn't know how even though it was a toast machine, and many of my friends knew how to work it and said it was easy to split the bill on it. My husband also snuck away early to ensure the birthday girl didn't pay for our meal, and it was $175 for the three of us. Later on, they accused us of still owing the $175, and we had to show our bank statement to show that we did pay it. Overall, I would not go back. You can get better food with better service for either the same price or even cheaper at other restaurants. The only upside to this place is the view, but it just wasn't worth it for us.

Ask the Community - 9 Mile Station

Is it kid friendly?

Not exactly, I would say more of a great date or adult brunch, hope that helps.

Does the deposit go towards the bill?

Yes.

If I made reservations at 9pm, will I be able to arrive an hour early to enjoy the view without paying the extra roof top fee?

Your reservation deposit gives you access to the rooftop, so you should be able to get to the rooftop early. I had no problem gaining access to the rooftop prior to my reservation.

Will there be a television available to watch the game?

There are no TVs anywhere at Ponce City Market, including The Roof/9 Mile Station.

How can I reserve an igloo?

You reserve online. The igloos seem to be sold out for the season, but there's also a special Valentine's Day offer going up for them. Good luck!

Is there a dress code for 9 mile station?

There isn't a dress code. I tend to dress more casual during the day and step it up a bit a night. It's got a sexy vibe at night and appears to be most folks on dates or girls night.

Can I make a dinner reservation with a 2 month old baby?

Yes, you do not have to pay the $25 deposit for your baby, but include in your notes any children you may have with you so the hosts can accommodate your full party size. (Also keep in mind Friday and Saturday after 5pm it is 21 & up roof wide).

Is the reservation fee refundable if it rains?

There is indoor seating and a covered/heated patio for you to enjoy, but if inclement weather persists you are able to reschedule or cancel and get your refund.

Do you need reservations to get outdoor seating on the rooftop?

No seating is first come first serve. Even is you make reservations they will try an accommodate your seating preferences as much as they can but they don't guarantee indoor or outdoor.

Does a birthday reservation include anything?

Hi Natalie! We do not include any additional services for a regular reservation. If you would like to make your birthday a private or semi-private event, our events team would be happy to help plan and create your vision. You're more than welcome to… Read more

Has anyone done the igloo experience and if so is it worth it?

Worth it with a big group, or if the igloo is on sale.

As for the drinks, I tried the Zombie. I loved it so much, I ordered a second one instead of trying a different one! It tasted sweet and slightly tropical with the rum and spiced liqueur. It also had some absinthe, which I was worried about when I first ordered it since I hate the taste of it (not a big fan of black licorice flavors), but I didn't taste it at all! I sat at the bar and had a little light banter with the bartender who is a brother looking to be in his late 30's-early 40's. When I asked about two fruity cocktails from the menu, he flat-out said he wasn't going to make them. That alone was off-putting. Trying to move forward, I asked what he specialized in, and he said he'd "come up with something." I agreed--but very clearly stated: no rum, because my body does not react well to it. After watching him make drinks for people who ordered after me, he eventually handed me a cocktail I never even saw him prepare. That already raised a flag. I took a few sips, and sure enough--my stomach immediately started reacting the exact way it does when I've had rum. When I asked what alcohol he used, he said, "I don't even know." That response alone tells you everything you need to know. At that point, I reminded him I specifically said no rum. Instead of taking accountability, he tried to argue and backtrack. Let me be clear--when a customer tells you not to use a specific liquor, you don't ignore it, guess, or "forget." That's basic service and basic respect. This situation completely threw off my evening, as I had plans afterward and ended up feeling sick. To make matters worse, I reached out to management and received no response. That lack of accountability speaks volumes. At the end of the day, this wasn't just a bad drink--it was careless service. This staff does not prioritize customer care, and that's a problem. If you choose to visit, be very direct, pay close attention, and don't assume your requests will be respected.

Italian Steakhouse Says It All - The Best of All Worlds…read more Walked into IL Premio on a Monday night and was told there was an hour wait for a table, so I headed to the bar- fortunately, a seat was open. I started with one of my favorite Reposados by Herradura. For my Crudi, I ordered the Ricciola alla Puttanesca, what i thought was going to be a classic Italian seafood dish that traditionally features ricciola (Italian amberjack) in puttanesca sauce. The menu noted it was made with yellowtail, which piqued my curiosity. I expected the ricciola to be pan-seared or lightly grilled and finished with the sauce, or served with the sauce spooned over the top. To my surprise, the dish arrived as thinly sliced raw yellowtail, presented sashimi/crudo-style. Each slice was topped with a small amount of sauce infused with capers, Taggiasca olives, Calabrese chiles, and possibly sun-dried tomatoes, all classic puttanesca ingredients. Microgreens completed the presentation. This could be described as a "ricciola crudo with puttanesca-style garnish" rather than a traditional cooked ricciola alla puttanesca. Essentially, the chef uses the puttanesca flavor profile (capers, olives, chiles, tomato, oil) as a raw topping instead of cooking the fish in the sauce. While it's raw, it's a modern, crudo-style interpretation inspired by puttanesca flavors and I'm a fan. I'll order it again and again. For my Secondi, I had the Risotto ai Funghi, a classic Italian dish featuring creamy arborio rice with shiitake and hen-of-the-woods (maitake) mushrooms and a hint of lemon. Served piping hot, it was rich, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. For dessert, I enjoyed another Reposado by Herradura. IL Premio is so much more than a steakhouse. The food is thoughtfully prepared, the atmosphere is refined, service by Janlan was excellent and it is a fitting restaurant for an outstanding hotel property.
