Reservations are recommended but we didn't have any for brunch but lucked out with some seats at the bar. Food and cocktail was great so I decided to return with some friends from out of town for dinner. I wish I remembered the happy Latino server's name but he made some great recommendations and sang to us lol he was special. This was my first time coming to Saints + Council, my aunt booked this due to all other places being full during brunch. It was absolutely packed when we went in, we checked in right at our reservation time and was sat with in minutes. We booked outdoor seating not aware of how the weather was going to be ( it was chilly ). We asked our waiter Brandon if we could move inside, he stated because it was busy we may not have a table but we can sit in the couch area next to the fire place so we agreed (it was better than a table in my opinion). The Brunch menu had some options but I would have preferred a few more non-meat options that weren't sweet dishes. The French toast is good though. Remember to get your parking validated. Speaking of shared plates, we started with the stuffed oysters, fried green tomatoes, bruschetta, & crab dip. These are generous portions so we were all content to stop eating. They are, however, known for their slow-cooked dishes so we forced ourselves to order the pork chop & braised short ribs to share. We added side plates of green beans & collards with seasoned cornbread. We thought we were full but we left nothing but bones. It was perfect. We had an excellent dinner at Saints + Council for my friend's birthday. Iv'e been here twice: once for a birthday dinner and once for date night. Both times, the food, service, and atmosphere were impeccable. They serve brunch and lunch too. For starters, park in the underground garage. Make sure to bring your parking ticket with you as Saints + Council validates for two hours. Once they validate, you have 20 minutes to leave the garage or else you must pay the full fare ($30 !!!) I've experienced the interior bar as well as the spacious outdoor patio with both covered and uncovered seating. Several dining room doors can open, facing the patio and Colony Square, creating a cool, airy vibe. The bar features traditional barstool seating, as well as high tip tables that "jut out" from the bar, creating a casual yet intimate dining experience. We walked in on a Saturday night with no reservations, so this was out only option, but it ended up being a great seating option for our date night. At the birthday dinner, all 14 of us were seated banquet style among the lush greenery and twinkling lights of the patio. We only had one server, but he handled our party with dedication and professionalism. Saints + Council has been on my list for a while and I was able to finally give them a try! Yay! They are located in Colony Square so parking is fairly easy. :) From the moment of arrival, the lighting + the greeting was so warm! We had to wait a short few minutes for our table, but there was plenty to admire in the meantime. Once seated, we were quickly greeted and our server was a host of menu knowledge. Personally, I love when servers give genuine feedback on dishes including their personal favorites or fun facts/stories to accompany so we got excited quickly to eat. We had a few cocktails, but I only grabbed a couple photos. What I will say is that the cocktails + dessert was my favorite over food, but for me it was more of a temperature thing, than flavor. (I love piping hot food) Cocktails: 1. Dante's Revenge 10/10: balanced, not too sweet and loved the bubbliness of the foam 2. Garden of Eden 10/10: so crispy, slightly floral and extremely smooth 3. Smoked Michoacan 9/10: smoky, but balanced with the tart blackberry 4. Serpent's Elixir 8/10: a little sweeter than my liking but the creamy coconut essence is fun with the freshness of cucumber which balances out the finish Food Time! :) 1. I didn't personally care for the sweetness of the bbq sauce that seemed to glaze it, and would have prepared more smokiness and spice. Regardless, it wasn't super dry which can be hard with larger cuts of chicken. 4. Half Dozen Oysters: 9/10: loves these! Smaller but super fresh and light brine taste. Loved that they were pre-dressed as well! 5. Lemon Miso Salmon 10/10: the sauce was heavenly, buttery, light, and had a depth of citrus notes that gave either a specific type of lemon used that was sweeter or an addition of orange juice to balance the sour! Nice crispy bits on salmon as well. 6: Braised Short Rib 9/10: very tender, extremely tasty and I loved that the sauce was more of a pot Liqour gravy than a very think wine sauce that you often see with short rib. Random star of the dish were the delicious carrots which provided some earthiness and sweetness to the rich rib 7: Strawberry Shortcake: 8/10: genuinely delicious! They're open for brunch and lunch too. Saints + Council is keeping the 2010s trend of "[insert word here] and [insert word here]" restaurant names going in the 2020s. Examples: Cooks & Soldiers, Bread & Butterfly, The Deer and The Dove. Saints + Council opened at Colony Square in Midtown Atlanta on December 10, 2021. Park in the Colony Square underground garage. You can enter via either Peachtree St NE or 14th St NE. Take your parking ticket with you. Saints + Council validates for two hours. Once they validate, you have 20 minutes to leave the garage or the validation is no good. If you want to stroll around or go elsewhere (e.g., at Colony Square) afterwards, you can return to the host stand later for validation. The Colony Square parking rate was $6 per 30 minutes. We were in and out in 2 hours 31 minutes. Parking cost $30 less $21 with validation. I was charged $9. Now almost four years old, the restaurant still looks new, fresh, and beautiful. Inside and out, it's clean and sophisticated. The design is classy and not overdone. There's a spacious outdoor patio with both covered and uncovered seating. We love burrata and a lot of places serve it. Saints + Council's Burrata was different in the way it was tied (presentation), and the asparagus ribbons were creative and original. The Spicy Mussels impressed me the most. This is another dish a lot of places do, but Saints + Council had one of the best I've tasted in recent years (and it was nice and spicy). The oysters were Blue Points. They were pre-dressed (you don't see that often and I appreciated it), super fresh, cleanly shucked, and flavorful. The honey mignonette added a distinct sweet flavor, which I admittedly wasn't the biggest fan of. I prefer my oysters more plain and briny, but these are still worth ordering. The Little Gem Caesar had some extra salty and sour to it because of the fried capers and chopped cured egg. Not bad at all. Of the entrees, the Lemon Miso Salmon outshined the slow-cooked Duck Confit. Our server suggested the salmon. Salmon is one of the last dishes we order, especially at a nicer place like this. But wow, it was incredible. Something you can't make at home, from the texture of the salmon to the balance of flavors. It was very nuanced. Compared to the salmon, the Duck Confit was not as impactful flavorwise, but it was still tasty and satisfying. Portions were generous. Table for 2 for Dinner I parked in the Colony Square parking deck and took the escalator upstairs. We had tickets to a nearby show, and this was our pre show dinner. We were quickly led to a table for four, even though it was just the two of us. I took a quick run to the restroom, and when I got back our server was already there with menus. Initially, I thought it needed a little more seasoning, but once I mixed everything together, especially the chorizo, the flavors worked well together. I could have used a little red pepper flakes or some added spice, but the shrimp and pasta were cooked perfectly.I also tried the side of collard greens and cornbread. Loved the décor, fireplace, and overall vibe -- such a great atmosphere, especially for a birthday brunch. Parking was easy with a garage and validation, which was a plus. We shared the biscuits and gravy to start, but I'd probably skip that next time. The Bloody Mary, however, was exceptional, and the bartender was extremely helpful and attentive. I ordered the braised short rib, which was incredibly tender and delicious, though it was a bit heavy on one particular seasoning -- almost like Christmas flavors. My fiancé ordered the pappardelle pasta and loved it, but I found it a little runny and lacking flavor. Really enjoyed our visit here. We sat outside and despite it being winter, we weren't cold at all. They have umbrellas set up to block any wind and an abundance of fires and heaters to keep the area warm. The bruschetta is some of the best I've ever had. I'd come back for that alone. I'm sorry but the food is mid at best and I feel the hosts are a bit...rude and lack the friendliness a restaurant like this needs as a patron's first impression. Decided to try Saints & Council for my birthday brunch, and for a first visit, it was a pretty good experience overall. The vibe is really nice -- bright, modern, and perfect for a celebratory meal. Ordered the Summer Reverlé to drink, and it was refreshing with just the right amount of sweetness. For food, went with the Apple Crumble Pancake Breakfast plus a side of potatoes. The pancakes were beautiful and had great flavor, though I'd say the overall meal was alright rather than amazing. The potatoes were a solid addition, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. If I could describe this establishment in one word it would be spectacular. I was in town for a work conference , and came here with a large party about 50-60 of us. They seated us outside with the covered patio . We had a set menu of 1 shared appetizer, 1 entree , and 1 shared desert The corn fritters were my favorite, it was sweet and savory, the fried green tomatoes were not my fav but the corn fritters made up for it lol For my main course I opted for the miso salmon . It was crispy and came with a side of roasted potatoes and asparagus. The desert was the main attraction . It was the s'mores with a live fire !
