I was really disappointed with my experience at Weezys. I started by ordering a blueberry lemon drop, but it was made with syrup and wasn't what I expected. When I asked about returning it, I was told they don't accept drink returns. Thankfully, the bartender was very understanding, professional, and accommodating. She made me another drink without any issues, and I really appreciated her customer service. The bigger issue was with my food. I originally ordered a shrimp Caesar salad but changed it to chicken before it was made. Despite changing my order, the salad still came out with shrimp. Instead of immediately complaining, I decided to give it a chance. I took one bite and simply did not like it. Whether it had shrimp or chicken, the salad just wasn't good in my opinion. I politely told the bartender I wasn't comfortable paying almost $40 for a salad I wasn't going to eat. She explained the restaurant has a strict no-return policy, so I asked to speak with a manager. I made it clear that I wasn't trying to be difficult--I just didn't think it was fair to pay for a salad that was made incorrectly and that I couldn't eat. The manager came over and, instead of trying to resolve the situation, immediately focused on the restaurant's policy. At one point she said, "So you want the restaurant to take an L because you don't like something?" I responded, "Well, I'm not going to take an L either. Are you really saying the restaurant is taking an L over one salad? Look around--there are plenty of people in here. You're telling me the restaurant would take a loss over removing one salad that was made incorrectly and that I didn't like?" I found the manager's tone to be dismissive, unprofessional, and unnecessarily confrontational instead of trying to find a reasonable solution. She said she would call the owner. About 10 minutes later she returned and told me both the owner and chef refused to remove the salad from the bill. When I asked what the resolution was supposed to be, since I wasn't willing to pay for a salad I didn't eat, she told the bartender to close me out for my drinks and told me I had to leave. In the end, I paid my bill anyway because I didn't want the bartender getting caught in the middle or getting into trouble over something that wasn't her fault. I also still tipped her because she was the only person who treated me with kindness and professionalism throughout the entire experience. One of the most disappointing parts of this experience is that, as a Black woman, I genuinely enjoy supporting Black-owned businesses. I intentionally spend my money with businesses in my community because I want to see them succeed. That's what made this experience so disheartening. Instead of feeling valued as a customer, I left feeling dismissed and unwelcome. I came in hoping to support the business, but I walked away feeling like I got a slap in the face. I finally made it to this restaurant and was very pleased on my first visit. I came for lunch with friends and we sat outside. I love the treehouse decorations and it was a very chill vibe. First let me start off by saying this is my OPINION. Now I am not a fan of the $20 self parking in a general parking area. My thoughts if I'm paying $20 valet me, again my opinion. So prepare to pay for parking. There are stipulations to having reservations. Grab your hookah, some drinks, and friends there is a whole vibe that could be unmatched. Yet, when I am trying to eat I found that the tables were too low for my liking and possibly for others. I noticed people holding their plates to eat and keep from dropping things on their clothes. Even me, I held a napkin under my fork because I didn't want to drop anything. So, it's not my cup of tea. As for the food, it was meh to me. I ordered the fisherman's catch with gives you a selection between salmon and fried catfish. I went with the salmon, garlic mashed potatoes base with a side Cesar salad. The salmon was okay, a little more sauce or seasoning would be preferred. Another complaint about parking! Look, I am not one to complain about expenses when it's justified and necessary. Paying for parking here was a super shady experience for me and it just started things off on the wrong foot. My girlfriends and I met here on a Friday evening. None of us had tried Weezy's before but after reading the rave reviews about this hidden Buckhead gem, I was super excited for my first experience. The restaurant is certainly a bit hidden, located off a tiny street off "the" Peachtree Rd. It's relatively easy to find thanks to signage. I read online that valet parking is available, so I fully expected to pay for valet, however, there was no attendant in sight, so I drove back down the street to park myself in a gravel lot. There is no clear signage of where patrons can and cannot park, so another patron who parked next to me decided to ask someone if it's okay to park our cars there. I am not even sure if this guy was the valet attendant but he told us it was okay that she park for free to go to the hair salon but because I was going to Weezy's, I had to pay $20. WHAT?! I told him I didn't have cash and he said it was okay, I could either Zelle or Apple Pay him. At this point my alarm bells started going WAY UP so I did not pay, but my girlfriend walked up and didn't want to argue so she paid the $40 for both of us TO PARK OURSELVES IN A MAKESHIFT GRAVEL LOT OFF THE ROAD. I am still unclear how Weezy's could possibly own this property off the road when there's a ton of other surrounding businesses. After she pays him, he hands me a tag and tells me to walk back to my car down the road and put the tag on my dash. Needless to say, this experience started my dining experience off on the wrong foot. My girlfriends and I had reservations so we were seated as soon as we arrived. The ambiance here is modern, fresh, relaxing with an upscale and neat vibe. I enjoyed sitting amongst the trees and being practically in a forest with huge windows in the middle of Buckhead. The ambiance is definitely sexy. My girlfriends and I ordered some drinks and asked for waters. The server let us know they don't have anything other than bottled water. By the way, bottled water is $7. I'm not sure I've ever really heard of a restaurant not being able to provide a glass of water, or in the server's words, "we don't have water, only bottled water." HOW DO YOU COOK WITH NO WATER? Anyway, I ordered The Atlanta Drumline which is 10 wings and fries for $17. The wings aren't large but were very delicious - fried crispy with the perfect blend of honey lemon pepper. They were definitely wings done right! The wings are served with ranch and the house ranch is delicious as well. $17 is on the pricey side for 10 wings, but at this point nothing surprises me. The restaurant has a dining time limit (I believe it was two hours?). I think we exceeded the two hours but were not asked to leave although the place was getting much busier. The time limit made us feel a bit rushed during our experience, but not noticeably so. Overall, food is good, vibe is good, but would I spend $20 to self-park, another $7 on water, and pay a premium for food again? Unlikely.
