I had a nice little solo nightcap here at Vanity. This is a 21+ lounge and you will be carded at the door. Music is mostly R&B. It's a small venue with a setup that definitely screams Atlanta hookah lounge. There are only a few tables and half the space is booth/club seating (low tables for hookah). There is street parking but it's not free until after 12AM I believe. Luckily I can just walk over LOL. Bonus points for the kitchen being open late for all of us certified night-owls. Kay was my bartender and she was lovely (and beautiful!!!). No issues with service at all. There is a 20% auto-gratuity as is typical of this type of establishment and Kay was transparent about that -- luckily the service was actually great so I wasn't mad about that at all. Food came out fast! My burger was made correctly, but there was no option given to customize how it was cooked. The portion for the brussel sprouts was huge and it was no extra charge to sub in for fries, but they were shockingly sweet -- I couldn't finish them for that reason and I love brussel sprouts. Next time I'll probably go with broccoli instead. I have to take off stars for a few reasons. This spot only serves with plasticware and that undeniably cheapens the vibe, even though you're easily dropping an average of $30 for food (cocktails were averaging $20 alone). I was fortunate enough this trip to have a nice gentleman cover my drink. Additionally, some of the staff were unashamedly glued to their phones WAY too nonchalantly in front of customers (I was really glad I sat at the bar LOL). And water is only offered in a bottle, so it does not come free with patronage which is pretty wild considering people are drinking so heavily. Chill spot for late night drinks. A friend and I just happened to stop in to Vanity restaurant and bar. It's a cute, intimate spot with friendly servers. We both had the lemon drop which as ok, vibed to the music and left. We Got there after 1am on a Tuesday night so there was ample free street parking. I honestly don't know what to make of this place. It was next to my hotel and the beautiful exterior drew me in. When I got inside, it felt like a night club. It was super dark and I was carded and then told to sit anywhere so I sat at the bar. I ordered some steak bites and some fries. My server forgot to put the order for the fries in so I only got the steak bites and they were really tasty! However, they gave me disposable silverware to eat the steak with, which felt a little odd. I wouldn't say go and I wouldn't say not go - just check it out for yourself. My birthday was completely ruined. WHY would you book my reservation, take my deposit, and then be closed when we show up on the day of the reservation? Who does that? I spent months searching for the perfect spot, booked the date and time I wanted, and even put down a $50 deposit.   On the day of the reservation, I arrived with 11 family and friends, all dressed up, only to find the restaurant closed. When I called, I was told, "We don't open for 2 hours."  You have got to be kidding me! This is a very small spot. When you first walk in it's really loud and the hostess barely knew what we said. Service took awhile for her to come to us. But the menu is very small and the food...well...it's small portions for a hefty price. I got the calamari and it was very greasy and salty. Drinks were expensive and my best friend ordered some lemon pepper wings which was coated in dry parsley and soo salty too. You know when you close one eye after taking a bite into something it's not good. Attempted a visit on a Thursday during happy hour and ended up leaving. They allegedly open at 5:00pm but when I arrived maybe five minutes after the hour, I was asked to give them a few minutes because they were setting up. That was followed with a warning that if I wanted to eat, they'd need to call the cook to see what time he would be there, huh? The cook in question pulled up about 10 minutes later and was slowwlllyy unloading his car with what I assumed was the food and supplies for the kitchen for the night. The service on the other hand was horrendous. Once me and my boyfriend walked in we were not greeted nor asked any questions. Thank goodness we were meeting up with friends. This place is absolutely TERRIBLE! My friends and I were all excited to spend our hard earned money at this lounge as we visit for the One Music festival. That was the worst decision possible. The waitress was so rude and completely forgot about us. After more than 45 minutes of not being served or checked up on after we order our food drinks and hookah. No one came to help us. I will not recommend this place for someone looking for even closely somewhat good customer service.
