Plenty of people that love to dance to the blues music

Love the venue, but they need to get rid of the old bartender. He's really rude and impersonal to both the clients and the musicians. He seems to have an attitude each time I see him, and unfortunately he is always there. But otherwise a truly amazing establishment! Be careful with parking. They will boot you in the nearby lots and streets if you aren't careful.

Such a fun place to grab a drink and dance like you never knew you could! Great bands and cozy atmosphere.

    Rockin with the band!

I would recommend Blind Willie's if they had a kitchen and at least 1 or 2 signature dishes. I'm sure that they will hire a cook soon. The band last night was fantastic, but I never saw anything stating the name of the band. I regret that I didn't get the band name before leaving. I would definitely come back to enjoy their music again. The ambiance was great! The drink service was good, but it could be better with a couple of servers.

We stumbled upon this Cajun/creole/blues club just looking for a drink, and it may have been our best experience in Atlanta! Reasonably priced drinks but the real draw was the live blues music! There's room to dance in front of the stage, and they had seriously impressive talent. 100% recommend checking it out. There is a $10-20 cover depending on who's playing (you can see the schedule on their website), but it was WELL worth it!

I had amazing times. I went on a Tuesday night they said it is Blues however the music seemed more country to me. Parking Yes they have parking in the back of the building and after 10 pm you can park or the street Service My waiter was excellent. He was on top of everything. Drinks I had the Gator rum drink it is similar to having a a Long Island but fruity and it was terrific. Food I had the Cajun wings and it was a little dry however my date had the barbecue wings and it was delicious. Bathroom They do have one bathroom however it stink.

Fun night on Easter Saturday. Some semi celebrity was there which might explain the $15 cover charge. My buddy was worried that they would run out of seating but the place never filled up to the max. The house band was really good. 4 veterans that sounded tight. Whatever that means. Lisa our waitress was friendly and efficient. We drank and chilled. Small and intimate place with food and drinks. Show starts at 9. Enjoy

Amazing music, great energy with people dancing, decent drinks at decent prices, and to be honest you don't come here for the food.

Ask the Community - Blind Willie's

What days of the week have live music?

    Wednesday-Sunday

Is there a cover charge or a minimum food/drink spend per table?

Yes there was a cover when I was there. I think always as that is how they pay the bands.

How does seating work? Is it first come first serve?

Seating is first come, first served. Doors typically open an hour and a half to two and a half hours before the live music starts. Come early to pick your favorite seats and start with dinner and drinks before the show.

Is it 21 and over? Or can 18 year olds get in?

Blind Willie's is a 21+ venue. We have beer, wine and a full bar along with the live music, so the club is 21 and over.

Located off of Piedmont Avenue - a one way street, look for the valet sign to pull in on the left. The cafe sits below street level - it's downstairs, like in the basement. But the vibes and energy shout sexy, speakeasy and spot to see new or rising talent. On this visit there wasn't any special guest or talent - it was Open Mic. Sign up and save $10 on the cover at the door. They seat you and servers provide menus for food and drinks. We had the grilled shrimp, others had pizza and light bites. The Texas margaritas were delicious and served strong. The talent was engaging and ranged from poets to singers. Overall, I'd definitely come back and check ahead to see who's performing. With the parking and cover, you invest some cash before you're entertained.

Good amount of seating that gives off a family basement kind of vibe. I'll start with the con: the service here was subpar. We sat in the overflow area and there were tables all around us. The two servers that we saw in the area repeatedly NEVER came to our table to greet us or take our order. My boyfriend ended up having to walk himself to the bar to get a drink and order some food for us. Even once the food came I had to flag her down to get another drink. We were not hidden or hard to see, so that was very disappointing. The comedy show was really good. The comedians were fun and funny. Each one's personality was so different and big and we laughed the whole night. Although good service is huge to me, I'd come back and give it another try because overall I really enjoyed the scene.

Now in addition to jazz they offer blues, Latin music, bluegrass and other genres on a rotating schedule. The museum revamped it when visitors asked for more variety. The event is free for members of the High and is also free to all visitors with half-price admission to the museum. My friend is a member and she asked me to be her plus one for Friday Night Music Remix at the High. I first attended the event a couple years ago with friends from out of town and was happy to return. By the time we got there, the jazz band was playing and all of the tables were occupied. There was only seating for about 100 and there were more people standing than sitting. After a few minutes we went upstairs to walk through the exhibits to a soundtrack of jazz. I really like the concept--enjoying music, sipping drinks and exploring the art exhibits. It's a very diverse crowd too in terms of race and age...20-somethings to 60-somethings...tourists...groups of friends...and people on dates. Some are there for the jazz and art; others seem more into the cocktails. The dress code is all over the spectrum from sophisticated to casual. Men wear things like polo shirts and khakis or button downs and jeans. Ladies wore everything from jeans, cardigans & heels to maxi dresses & sandals. My one criticism is about the lighting. I wish they would add mood lighting or at least dim the existing lights, something to make the large space feel more intimate. I know it's not a nightclub but I associate live music with low lighting, not high watt bulbs. Other than that it was a nice event and I plan to return in the next month or two.
