This place is amazing. It is in a strip mall with limited parking. The outside is deceiving. Once you come inside, the store looks small with only a few tables for seating (maybe 12 seats) but the stairs leave you down to a huge bar with TVs, games, and plenty of seating. Also, they purchased the business besides them so they have a bar area upstairs as well. This place is huge. I sat at the new section and was pleasantly surprised that it is set up like a sports bar. I ordered a 20oz $5 Abita Beer (well worth it), Double smash burger with fries (highlight of the meal), $2 taste of bread pudding (worth trying), and the Boudin balls (not much flavor but a lot of food).
Easy parking , I picked up my to go order I had the shrimp poy boy small lunch combo . They don't place your food under a warmer so it was cold when I got it . the sandwhich was good a little dry needed more sauce and a few more shrimp . I guess the service was ok , I didn't get my drink ..... it has another level downstairs that's big and cool to eat with groups are just hang out. I used the hot sauce in the bag which made it so much better !!!! I believe they have a shrimp poy with hot sauce I believe it's called crystal'd I recommend that !

I've visited this place a few times this year and each time I feel like it gets better! Their po boys are the best in Atlanta in my opinion. It's hard finding a po boy that has a good seafood:bread ratio and they've mastered it. This time I decided to branch out and try something different and ordered a brunch item - crawfish etouffee omelette. Highly recommend!! I also tried the jambalaya for the first time and it was also superb. They recently expanded their dining area as well and taken over the place next door. Before, they only had a small space for dining upstairs and the dive bar was downstairs making it not the most ideal place for kids. But since they've expanded, they now have additional seating upstairs which is much more family friendly. The prices are also very reasonable especially for such good quality food!
Paid $22.99 for this plus tax and tip. +$3.99 coleslaw. If you want to charge $23, it should be longer than 8", or at least be loaded, more bread than filling... this is ridiculous. $30 for this and a tiny bit of coleslaw.
Bread pudding still hits the spot! Even if you have never been a fan (I was not), the bread pudding here will change your mind. I brought three to go to bring to my front desk staff. Service was prompt and I enjoy the secret bar in the basement which you access by the staircase to the left of the register. Gotta be 21 years or older so I cannot bring my teenage son, but for a date lunch with husband, it works well. If you are wanting vegetarian, the oyster mushroom po boy is delicious!

For drinks I always get the 22oz purple voodoo. It's a great deal, really strong, tastes great, and you get to keep the souvenir cup. The lighting in the basement bar provides such a fun ambiance to the place. They also have a pool table, darts, and some arcade games to play on. They also have enough TVs that no matter where you are sitting you'll be able to see all the games that are on. It's a great spot for a date or even just to get your friends together. I've also been here several times and have never had any problems with a waiter. Everyone who works there seems really nice. And if you don't want to sit down and eat you can order your food to go upstairs.
My friend had mentioned this place, especially because it's really close to where he lives. I was surprised to see how large the space was in the lower level. We got seated right away since it wasn't that busy for a Thursday afternoon. We shared their Crawfish pie, alligator po boy, and debris po boy. The pie was really good, but definitely on the small side. Comes out piping hot so be careful. Both of these sandwiches were nicely filled and we were sure which one was necessarily better than the other. Would come again and can't wait to try more from their menu! Our waiter was nice and efficient with coming to our table. This is a very casual place that you can easily spend hours playing pool, darts, or watching a sports game.
Service wasn't that great, but the food and drinks hit. I got the shrimp Po'Boy and the Diabolico drink. I do like the decorations and I went in a trivia night. I'd come back.

The standout, as always, was the corn. The corn and the sides continue to be the best part of the bowl and were easily more enjoyable than the crawfish themselves. I am hoping this was just an off day because I may give them one more chance this season, but this visit did not leave much of an impression in a good way. For a place people look to during crawfish season, I really wanted the crawfish to be better.
Real New Orleans style food for sure. You can taste it in everything. Got the boudin balls, Creole BBQ wings, and the andouille sausage po'boy. Boudin balls were the best thing crispy and full of flavor. Wings had a good kick and sauce was hitting. Po'boy was loaded and filling, bread was solid too. Good spot, especially since they open late. I'll be back.

I started coming to the Po'boy shop in 2020 they opened during Covid and at first it was takeout only so when they finally opened the inside for dining, everyone was really excited. I remember back in 2020 the owner telling me that they had the LEIDENHEIMER bread flown in from New Orleans weekly. I do believe the bread on a Po'boy makes all the difference. I've tried quite a few Po'boys from here. I've had the grouper, chicken tender and the shrimp, but my absolute favorite is the cheeseburger Po'boy. The burger blend that they use is so good. The remoulade sauce definitely takes it up a notch, but I prefer my Poboy with mayonnaise and they can make it that way. I've never eaten upstairs but downstairs is huge. There's a really big bar. There's a lot of high top table seating. They have arcade games. It's just a great space to enjoy time with your friends. There's plenty of TVs to watch any of the sports games that are on. The bartenders are nice and they really take care of you. Honestly, I think there's something for everyone on the menu. They also have desserts, but I'm not a big fan of the ones that they have. I think the bread pudding is too sweet. Now, if they added a brownie with praline sauce and pecans and bourbon ice cream that would be amazing. We needed a late night spot and The Po'Boy Shop looked promising. It wasn't. We asked to sit upstairs where it was quieter, only to be told the menu was limited up there, so we got escorted to the basement, which had all the energy of a frat party I aged out of years ago. Not the vibe. Props for having vegetarian red beans and rice on the menu, because that's rare. Unfortunately, whoever was on seasoning duty must have called out that night. Completely bland. Nothing. I can't imagine that's intentional, so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt, but I'm not coming back to find out. The crawfish po'boy was okay. Not a memorable experience overall. read more

Dope little spot!! You walk in to the counter at the front then the downstairs bar has a ton of tables and seating. I went with the double cheeseburger and it was great. Very simple, good meat blend, potato bun and special sauce top it off. The fries are delicious, like steak fries but thinner and crispier. My buddy had the surf and turf that looked amazing as well. Service was great, food is good, huge menu so there is something for everyone. Definitely recommend! read more

I've been meaning to come here for quite a while. I think I didn't because Hubby and I are frequent New Orleans so much and always go to the best po boy shops. But I was in the neighborhood yesterday and decided why not. First off the lady at the front counter is the nicest. Pleasant attitude and smile. I ordered the half and half (half shrimp, half oysters) fully dressed. It was very good. The remoulade sauce had a little kick that was just enough. Also the beer was really cold. I believe they even be using leidenheimer bread. Which is delicious. I see that they have a basement bar with pool tables, etc. I'm gonna bring Hubby with me next time and we'll check it out. read more

This place looks unassuming from the outside, even the front counter. But go down the stairs for a super spacious sports/dive bar feel and wonderful cajun. I sat at the bar for dinner. My bartender/server was very friendly and checked in on my every once in a while. The food was absolutely delicious. I settled on boudin balls and the shrimp platter with Jalapeño Hush Puppies & Red Beans & Rice. I had a little bit of leftovers, but wanted to taste the bread pudding. The taste size was the perfect portion for a sweet treat without being too filling. read more

So I visited with my bro on 4-4-2026. Last time I visited this place was like 5'yrs ago maybe 4. I used to order a shrimp poboy sandwich or half and half shrimp &: oyster poboy combo to go. That particular time my sister was in town visiting so I brought her and my mom here for food. What happened next made us exit the restaurant immediately. The waitress had someone food order in her hand and the condiment fell on the floor and she picked it up and didn't throw it in the trash and wash her hands and get a replacement she put it back in the container and proceeded to walk downstairs to the basement. Hopefully the sanitary ethics have improved here. My brother has been going here recently with friends to shoot pool so I decided to give them a try again. After we parked we entered and went to the basement my first time in the basement. Keno and some other digital games available and Darts and 2 billiards tables. I went to the bar area and I got my brother a Stella and me a Guniess 0.0 NA beer. Be sure to get a receipt and check your funds that you received if you are getting change people can make mistakes and are only human. The bartender got the drinks and a server was over there. My bro and I were near the pool tables with a end table small space not a big table where other patrons were. The waitress was over there taking care of them and even past by us with out asking us did we need service or menus. My brother had to ask her literally. My brother ordered fried mushrooms and gator bites and I ordered a shrimp and oyster poboy. Everything came with a spicy remolaude sauce. Idk what happened the waitress might have had something on her mind or got it mixed up I received a shrimp poboy sandwich at first then my order got sorted out like I said mistakes happen and the other server took care of that with my oysters. The food order came out and it was alright.I enjoyed myself shooting pool a dollar per game using quarters iit's been a minute for me since my last game also my brother showed me something about Keno a friend showed him and played. read more

This trip drastically missed the mark, fries zero season, hush puppies ice cold asked for chicken and shrimp crispy both came out way to fast and breading sliding off cause they had not been fried properly , it's a shame this use to be a worth the drive place and now it's just a place . All in all there is to many options in the area for a place to fall this short . read more
I'm mad I haven't been here before now, there is a basement y'all with a nice bar area, pool tables, etc. They have plenty of TVs to watch the games and the food is banging. The fried pickles taste like the ones I used to get in Texas, nice and salty. The po boy was delicious but I saved half for the next day and all the sauce soaked up in the bread and it was even better. The gumbo needed more seasoning, the crawfish pies were full of flavor, the service was great and the food didn't take forever to come out. I will be back. read more

I will say it was an okay experience at first with having a newer waitress. The food was decent until the dessert came out. The beignets looked amazing but they were covered in what Craig, one of the partners, said was baking powder. AFTER we already ate one each. The server took the plate without even explaining why they were taking the plate. Awful experience, Craig was very defensive and dismissive and only offered to comp the beignets and then walked away. Spent over $70 on brunch and was POISONED. read more

The Po'Boy Shop is a lively and eccentric place for yummy food and drinks! While I have only been to the basement bar of this restaurant, I have had good times. There's plenty of seating downstairs, as well as games (i.e., billiards) and television screens to fill the hearts of sports fans. Service can be slow or fast downstairs--I think it depends on the time and the server. I ordered the Fried Pickles and snacked on a Popcorn Shrimp Po'Boy that my friend had ordered. The Fried Pickles were really good and hit the spot while I was sipping on the Puppy Punch, which tasted strong but also like cough medicine. I had a small bite of the Popcorn Shrimp Po'Boy and it tasted yummy! I feel like it is hard to go wrong with fried food, which is why I enjoyed the few food items I had here. read more
