The food was really good. I had the double patty melt on Rye Bread. However my wife had the cod fish sandwich. That was mostly bread and on a bun not good at all. The service was good however the conversation coming from the kitchen wasn't good. The ambiance was really nice and the seating area on the other side of the bar is really nice and relaxing.. they definitely need to not cut up the cod into 8 pieces and serve two portions for a decent Cod sandwich. You walk in with the option of going right or left. I went both ways so you'll get the full story. No one is there to direct you. To the right is the dining area. To the left is the bar with tables. So for lunch go left and dinner go right. The place is clean and very bar like. A few TV's all playing the same show. The service was quick and normal. A picture-perfect neighborhood pub, the Albert is a great local hang with surprisingly delicious grub. We stopped in for weekend brunch and enjoyed taking one of their spacious booths. Her grilled cheese was perfectly paired with classic tomato soup, and my buffalo chicken salad was fresh and tasty, paired with a side of decadent baked macaroni and cheese. Found The Albert on a Viator food tour. It's a nice neighborhood spot with good food. There are two dining rooms. One has a full bar. We ate smoked chicken wings in the room that has some privacy. The wings were not large like some we joke are on steroids. They were full of flavor. We got a sample of a specialty drink, and it was nice treat. This venue is nice. The bar is beautiful. I went here with other volunteers to have food and a drink after working. It is a pretty small and quaint restaurant which was packed for trivia night. But I was glad there was an outside area with a tv where we could still enjoy. I had a delicious guava drink and the pretzel appetizers were incredible. I would say the service was terrible, but there actually wasn't any. I asked for an outdoor table and we sat outside at 5pm with my 7-year-old daughter, no one came by to even take our order for 30+ minutes. We had to leave because my daughter got too hungry. The waiter stopped by one nearby table, then walked into the next parking lot to get something from the corner store. Albert has been in the inman park neighborhood forever and doesn't disappoint as a neighborhood bar with usual drinks and food options. We swung by after our beltline walk for Atl burger week and tried their diner special, Albert and western burger. The diner special was the best amongst three. They have a patio or outdoor tent in their parking spaces that was a respite from the indoor music and allowed us to enjoy Atl spring weather. Four stars as our food took too long to come out. The Albert is a laidback watering hole in Inman Park where I would gladly go again. Right now they have outdoor and indoor seating, and the outdoor seating has a shade and heaters, although they were not turned on the very warm and sunny afternoon I visited. For outdoor seating you just order at the fun little window right by the door. They have a nice beer list that includes both permanent and rotating beers and they seem to have something for most tastes from a lot of local breweries. Their food includes pretty typical pub starters (chicken wings, pimento cheese, etc), a soup/salad section, sandwiches. I had had a very indulgent dinner the day before so was feeling something a bit lighter, and their salads are actually pretty good. I got the cobb salad and was impressed by the high toppings to leaf ratio! Honestly I could have done with more leaves...but the chicken was really tasty, the bacon crispy, and it was overall a delicious and satisfying salad. One heads up is that the outdoor seating is right by their grill or smoker so you will get clouds of basically campfire smoke wafting your direction. If your lungs are sensitive to that kind of thing then the outdoor seating might not be for you. read more

They were decent, it's nice to have some variety in the dressings, the patties were good but seemingly preformed and the overall flavor left something to be desired. Let me clarify my rating up front: as a bar, this one gets five stars, all the way. As a restaurant, it's a three star joint. Located just off Highland Ave in bustling Inman Park, The Albert's a popular "hole in the wall" bar. Well-known for affordable drinks and a low-key vibe, this is not your standard Inman Park destination - and that's exactly what makes it so great. Coming in the door feels like taking a deep, relaxing breath away from the chaos that the Beltline has become. Personally, I don't love the food, but I do know a lot of folks who enjoy it and come to The Albert to eat pretty regularly. (I'm not a big "bar food" kind of girl, typically trying to avoid heavier / greasier food when I'm out drinking - and that's what this place is to me - a watering hole!) That said, if you want a burger or a dog or loaded fries, this is the place for you. There are a variety of salads and the menu has a bit of a Southern flair, with offerings like chicken salad sandwiches, brussels, mac'n cheese, etc. If we do eat here, I usually opt for the turkey burger sans bun and a side of the sprouts. Portions are quite good. In addition to the normal bar area and expanded side dining room, they've adapted well to COVID, utilizing a window by the back door so that patrons can still enjoy their drinks in a newly-built tent in the parking lot - err, on the patio. The real star of The Albert is the staff. Always friendly, always energetic, always hustling. You'll get great service day or night. Can't ask for more! read more

We got some beers, burgers, and boiled peanuts. I think the boiled peanuts are a must try because they are so different. They were interesting and I liked their flavor! The burger was the winner by far. It was so good, best pub burger around. Did not like the onion rings at all. I'm particular about them, so that's on me! The burger and customer service were superb. I definitely had that wowing factor (and it is rare, especially for a burger too). The hubs and I wandered here during Atl Burger Week. The featured burger was the sweet and smokey. It was delicious! Though the beef patty was thin (as it's their usual thing they do), the brisket atop was mouth-watering. Coupled with goat cheese, bacon, and strawberry jam (strange but good), this was a superb burger. Too bad it's not on their regular menu. The brisket was on point, and the bacon they used was thick and juicy, not at all like those super crispy bacon @ brunch places. So it may seem that The Albert uses quality ingredients. The hubs wanted a beer, and our server was quick to provide specials. He ended up with an IPA beer with a shot of whiskey for $6. :) They also have specials toward the end of the menu so check those out. If we're ever in the area again, I think we'd def stop by this spot. read more

Appreciated their amazing service on Trivia Night Wednesday!!! We were a party of 6, and made sure to make space for us - (thankfully a party that big was leaving soon after we came in). Our server was super nice, got us our drinks very promptly, and took note of our orders, making sure we were good, had water, etc. When it came time to pay for the food, she had one bill for us but let us write our initials on all the items for her to split the bill between all of us (by order) which I thought was considerate. I thought the Trivia Night was super fun! I had such a great time with friends. I had the Albert Burger and to be honest it wasn't anything special or crazy about the dish (it was yummy!) but it was more the experience that made it worthwhile to check out the Albert! Also enjoyed my drink - which was the grapefruit based cocktail (it had a hella long name, but it was one of the cocktails listed as their special drinks on the table). My friend got the Raspberry Beret however, and it seemed diluted as well as a bit sour so I wouldn't recommend that one. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE MILITARY AND/OR POLICE. I had a STUNNINGLY BAD experience with the bartender at THE ALBERT on Saturday, August 10, 2024. My brother, his girlfriend, and I went as a last-minute early dinner option. I was in a tan hat and military style t-shirt (not a uniform) from training (Army) that day. Right off the bat, it was VERY obvious that the bartender did not like me. I politely ordered a drink, and she looked at my ID for a full minute and said, "this feels like a sting operation." I'm 30. Would have been funny if she was joking. It was weird but whatever. Over an hour later, when I was back at the bar to order my 3rd drink (not close to drunk), I calmly mentioned that we hadn't gotten our food (we'd ordered over an hour before and they'd forgotten, it happens). The bartender got offended that I brought it up and said she wouldn't serve me and threatened me, "not to test her." She said I'd had too many. I was literally dumbfounded by how she was treating me. Had too many? I wasn't drunk at all and was completely calm. The people I was with and the strangers around me were stunned too, saying later, "I actually think she just doesn't like how you look." Someone also mentioned that she may have been under the influence/medicated herself because of how slowly she was taking at the register. What started as a great evening was definitely negatively impacted by this unprofessional and tired bartender. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. read more
