I had such a good time at Eddie's! From the entertainment of watching Pynk Beard perform, to the service that was very attentive and quick. I didn't have to track down a server at all and the food and drinks were good. We ended up getting the Jamaican jerk wings and they were cooked to perfection. I honestly love Eddie's addict and can't wait to find other reasons to visit. I came to Eddie's on a dreary and kind of cold night so the outside was not opened which I assumed was the reason way, but I have some friends who say it's pretty great space to relax, drink a beer, and watch the show. So the venue itself is uber small, which is amazing. It's a great place to see an act for super cheap and in an intimate setting. There is seating which is mostly first-come-first-available. There are some areas you can reserve, but I believe you need to reserve the entire table which is not ideal for me since I came solo. I sat at the bar which was perfect for me and a great vantage point from the stage. I ordered a small snack and a beer and really enjoyed the concert I was there for. I thought the acoustics were good, the food was perfectly fine bar food and the beer was perfectly crisp. This is honestly a place I should be going more to. read more

The food is very lacking in vegetarian options which is a bummer considering where it's located and the cost. 4 star venue, 2 star experience. I love the idea of "songwriters playing original music in an intimate setting." No free parking whether you park on the street, in a lot or $6 for the DeKalb deck a few blocks (weekends included). Phone # is required for entry, not the Dice app which sold my tickets. Friendly staff, good acoustics and if you're early enough, you can sit on bleachers. They aren't comfy but the sight lines are excellent and it beats standing. The tiny tables didn't appear to be worth the extra $$ as they aren't elevated and you have to buy 4 seats. There's only enough room on the stage for the artist and their guitar. Son Little sounded great as always. Despite it being "a listening room" he encouraged the audience to sing and they did - loudly and off key. What ruined it for me is how short the set was. It's not the artists fault, but if they are unlucky enough to be the 7pm show, the next act is waiting to perform. Son's set may have been 45 minutes excluding the opener but he probably gave Candi Jenkins more time than she needed. I was disappointed after braving the cold, arriving early & paying $38 plus parking.. I know Eddie's Attic has history and it beats City Winery's mandatory minimum spend. But some artists are just better with a band and Son Little is one of them. Unless the late show last longer, I prefer standing room only dive bars like the Earl or Smith's Olde Bar for a real, 2 hours+ live show experience (band included). The service at the bar was good and also had servers walking around asking if you wanted anything. You have to stay quiet during performance which was nice. I have lived in Atlanta for three years and I had never stepped inside Eddie's Attic, even though I pass it all the time from working out at Core Dance Studio behind it. I regret not coming sooner. The drinks are strong. I ordered a $16 Riesling before the show started and at first I thought the price was ridiculous until I realized why it cost that much. I was sipping that one glass for almost three hours. That drink was drinking me which is why I ordered food. I asked the waitress about the black bean burger and she said it was her favorite. I expected her to just say anything to make a sale but she was telling the truth. The black bean burger with the sweet potato fries was so good that I almost ordered another one. I went to see the Renaissance Room for William Bilal and the energy was crazy. They did not take a break for almost three hours and every musician was giving everything. Cello, violinist, guitarist, pianist, trombone, and the host making beats live while they played. Every person got a solo but William Bilal was the one everyone came to see. The ticket was 21 dollars and completely worth it but you need to get there early because they hand out blue tickets 1 through 28 for general admission seats. If you miss that you are standing. There were 200 people inside and 700 people still on the waitlist on a Tuesday night. Parking tip: the lot behind Eddie's Attic that shares with Core Dance Studio is 5.95 for 30 minutes so street parking is easier. I parked around 9 pm for free. I did not want to go home when it ended and they need to make this a Tuesday residency. read more

I came here on a Friday night after work for ten very first time for an early show with Benny and The Jets...great cover band that did hits from Elton John and Billy Joel....this place is not wheelchair accessible. The vibes there are cool, they have a rooftop bar, and bar inside the performing area. The servers were nice and the food was actually pretty good and cooked to order. I visited Eddie's Attic for my friends' awesome sold out music concert. This intimate venue is tucked away in popular downtown Decatur. It was Friday night, and there was a prior show. So, parking was hard to find. All the meter street parking across from the venue was taken. However, there's a $20 parking lot next to the venue. Drive slowly or you'll easily miss the entrance and will have to circle back. The building seems old and has rooftop bar with TVs where you can chill before the show. I went online and purchased a 4-person table about 3 months before the show. However, arrive early to select your table because folks can come as early as I believe 5 pm to select their reserved table. The sound/acoustic was fair. Our table barely comfortably accommodated 3 people. So, I don't know why they would even dare attempt to sit 4 folks at the tiny tables. The food was the worst. I ordered chicken tenders and fries for a fair price. Even with BBQ sauce, the chicken tenders were super bland. How do you mess up basic chicken tenders?! When I got home, (even with a 20% tip) I noticed my credit card was overcharged. I attempted to call the venue and the voicemail is full and the line just continues to ring. I sent an email. That was over a month ago and to date the business did not have the courteously to respond to my email inquiring about my credit card charges. I only recommend this venue if you're attending to support a musician. Definitely eat before you go, because the food will disappoint you. It had been a long time since I was at Eddie's Artic, but went this time to see a band that my friend's cousins were in. The check in process and getting into the actual music space was chaotic, but once inside we were inside we were able to sit on the padded bleacher seating- the tables were sold out- and were able to enjoy the experience. That is unique about this venue is that it is encouraged to be more of a listening space vs a wild bar standing around and screaming. Good for this "older" patron. We were able to get beers from a server who was walking around the floor and that was seamless. The historical brick space was charming too. read more

We parked in a small public lot (no cost) & walked around the corner to find this joint. This venue has a LOT of Atl artists starting off here, a small club off the streets of Decatur, GA. Collective Soal, Justin Bieber, Shawn Mullins & John Mayer to name a few. Enter up a few brick steps through a door you aren't sure is OK to open. So open anyway to find a cool stair case up to the venue. A restaurant/bar to the right, looks COOL, to the left & bar, stage to the left. Some reserved tables otherwise seat yourself, grab a drink & meal & just RELAX! Food decent, very sm menu!! Bleacher seating is pretty cool, small tables & way too many chairs for the space, in no order-that's the charm!!! This place is magical! Such amazing talent comes through here so if you are a music lover, this place is a must! The bartenders will help you as best as they can and the food is good. Be prepared to wait a little bit if you are at a table especially once the show starts. The space is tight (like a small attic). If you are tall with long legs or need a lot of space, unfortunately, this is not the place you want to be. The sound though and the acoustics are just WOW! I just saw Sam Grisman Project there and it was a packed house where I was one of many standing in the "GA" area which is really anywhere you can find a space. read more

IN THE MIDDLE OF THEM PERFORMING, to tell us "WE'RE AT CAPACITY YOU GUYS HAVE TO LEAVE" ??? hello?? we're 45 minutes into the show mind you. he tells us we aren't "on the list" i say "we are." he says "not the one i got" he never asked for our names by the way. i say "okay well we are. otherwise we wouldn't have been let in. and the guy in charge said we could sit here." he says "i booked the show with ____ (performers, whom we know personally. i'm the guy in charge- i know the guy in charge" i said "i don't give a shit who you are, we were told multiple times we could sit here, you're kicking us out 45 minutes in because of YOUR booking error? to me it looks like you've been targeting us all night, so until you find someone else to relay this info, i'll be staying" and he left, never came back. saw him mingling with the crowd a little later, i assume he just wanted to get his friends a seat and saw us, three smaller people, assuming could take us that day. not to mention he touched my bfs back not once, not twice, but THREE times, throughout the evening. i don't think your employees should be putting hands on people, period! get it together! whoever this guy is needs fired like beyond ASAP. my friend then lets me know this is the same guy who has given her issues EVERY VISIT. this was my first and last visit to this venue. wish i had gotten his name but he is apparently the guy in charge of booking shows ‍ kicking out the only 3 non paying customers just to avoid refunding people because of YOUR booking error? then not being able to stand down on it because a 5'2 girl tells you to get someone else to relay the info. laughable. read more

I went to see a concert at Eddie's attic last night and I was so disappointed in the service. No one ever came over to my table. I finally went to the bar to get 2 glasses of wine, just regular glasses of wine and my total was $39 for 2 glasses of wine. They told me they would bring it to my table, and it probably took them about 20 min. to bring it over. The staff was very unfriendly. At least the music was good. If I come back, I will not be ordering anything from the bar. Unfriendly and very overpriced. Eat and drink before you go. Food is awful & drinks are way overpriced. read more

I am born and raised in Atlanta and have been to Eddie's for many years. Tonight was the first time I felt how they treat people of color. I understand talking when an act in on stage but to single out the only color person in the arena when others were doing the same is uncalled for. With the current situation it would have been more appropriate to make sure the others in the area were advised as well. read more

Even if you have never seen a live performance, you still know about Eddie's Attic, as it has been making an impact on the singer/songwriter community for about 30 years now and word on the street is that even the likes of John Mayer and the Biebs have given performances at this legendary place! Eddie's Attic is located in Downtown Decatur on the square and while it does not look like much from the outside, when you enter you immediately know you are in a small concert venue as the first think you see are the walls leading up the steps lined with posters of all the acts that headed Eddie's way in the coming weeks. You head up stairs and take a sharp left to enter the room where it all happens. The room is not big at all and is the "Listening Room", which means that talking and general loud rudeness will not be tolerated during the performances. Folks are there to listen and enjoy, and Eddie's staff makes sure that is possible for all who enter the space. I am not sure how they approach every gig, but for ours the doors opened at 5:00 PM and the show started at 9:00 PM. We had the opportunity to arrive anytime prior to show time to reserve the table/seats we wanted and if chose not to, we would get whatever was left available. We popped in around 7:00 PM and was able to reserve a front row/corner table which turned out to be phenomenal! During the show the bar was in full service and as mentioned, if you ordered during the set, you were asked to speak clearly, but not too loud. Once the show was over, we hopped to the other side of the up stairs area which was an open space where they had the merch tables set up and the artists hung out for pics and such. Overall, Eddie's Attic is a fantastic place for live music and it's even better knowing you are supporting the up and comers and it's also exciting to be able to say "I saw them at Eddie's before they hit it big!". We really enjoyed our night, even so much so that we started looking up the artists who were playing and that we did not know just so we could come back to enjoy and support! Oh and apparently they are a full service restaurant when they aren't putting on shows...we have not experienced the food side of Eddie's, but from the reviews and pics...it looks like it may be worth a shot! read more

This is an intimate listening room and a great little tavern! We thoroughly enjoyed our time here listening to live music. Great hospitality at the door. Fast and easy to get in and out of. Outdoor bar with a cover for the winter, still great ambience. Highly recommend and will visit here again! Ok. Eddie's used to be a fun venue! Went to hear an artist I know recently.. it was dirty, unorganized and the sound was off. They charge for a table seating, but it's just chairs crammed around a tiny table. The menu is very limited, which can be a great thing ... in this case, not so much. Honestly, by the state of the place, I was afraid to order food. The drinks were not good either and very $$$$! My friend ordered a coke, and it came out tasting like brown soda water. Open mic night was enjoyable. I just find it odd that two of the finalists were people who were there first talking to the judges before the show even started. Hmm.. songwriters open mic? More like the most sociable not most talented people win here. If you're an introvert with real talent who can actually play the guitar and write good songs (it won't matter here) Show starts at 8 not 7:30. If you want a table you better get there early .. most are reserved but 4 tables that said reserved stayed unoccupied the entire time of the show. While people stood around awkwardly.. Sound lady wasn't the best.. guitar needed more volume or voice needed more volume I think she got it right on maybe 5 of the 15-20 performers... Didn't eat the food so not gonna comment on that front. Service was ok at best. I asked for coffee and a water only got the coffee. There must be a water shortage. Be careful parking in the parking garage that their website site tells you to park in. You won't be able to get out. All the machines were broken. read more

Of course you've gotta love the idea of Eddie's. Small and intimate, a listening room. But they oversell the seating. If you want a table you must buy 4 tickets. And they've put the tables so close together that there really isn't room for 4. We usually buy a table for just the 2 of us and still feel crowded. Because the floor is flat, not slanted toward the stage, I often have a hard time seeing around the people in front of me. And they persist in booking double shows back to back. So the first show has to end abruptly and the second show always starts later than I consider acceptable. You can't reserve a specific seat but have to stand in line to check in and select your seat then. Bad system all around. Food is mediocre. Last night the server spilled my drink on me and had brought the drinks without napkins. Had to go get something for me to clean up with. Came back with 2 little paper napkins. When our food came it was dropped off without the usual condiments and no cutlery. Remember you're in a super crowded space so it's hard to pop over to the bar to get what you need. The music has never disappointed. Not once. But the experience isn't worth the hassle. read more

John Mayer would come here all the time to perform (when no one knew who John Mayer was). Now that he's famous, he'll drop in now and then and perform for free (yes, free!). After paying the bill when we left early and getting the email receipt we were charged $10 a beer. I've reached out multiple times to the venue for an explanation or a refund but no response at all. While they get good music acts and its a cute venue I'll never go back. read more

Landon Smith and Gavin Adcock was the best concert I've ever been to. Eddies Attic was the bomb. Venue was small, but that is the beauty of this place. The atmosphere of the venue is second to none.
