Huevos Rancheras with cheese grits and Short Rib Eggs Benedict with hashbrowns.
    Rachel J.

We went on a weekday morning, early, so there was absolutely no wait. Our waiter was quick and attentive, and our food came out quickly. The quality of the food was impressive and fresh. The grits had bit of fresh corn, which I loved, and all of the food was fresh and well-made. We were walking, but I did not see a ton of close parking. However, the resturaunt is funky and comfortable inside.

This was actually my second time visiting, so I decided to try something different from the menu. On my first visit, I ordered the smoked salmon and poached eggs breakfast entrée. This time around, I went with the shrimp and grits. While the presentation wasn't the best, the dish was extremely flavorful. It truly hit all the taste notes that make a meal memorable. 10/10 -- would absolutely recommend!

Been wanting to go here for a little while now, I love the location in downtown Decatur however I was a little unimpressed. We sat at the bar in hopes of faster service... that was not the case. We received our food but trying to get someone's attention for silverware took quite a while. The drinks were just ok, although they have quite a few cocktails available. And the food was just okay... nothing super special. However, the restaurant itself is really pretty. Ambiance is chill, definitely a place where you can meet with a friend to catch up so that was nice.

OMG what a nice surprise this place. The food is amazing! Our waiter was great, loved that he made suggestions for my side.

Stopped in for brunch and got a few items. I got the Reuben with a substitute for turkey. It did not really look like turkey. It look more like corned beef, but it was good. The French toast was just OK. However, the corn beef hash was amazing. The service was great and the ambience is very laid-back. I will try a couple more dishes. The next time I go back overall had a good experience.

House made food with excellent flavor. My husband NEVER likes grits but these were a hit because they were so hearty and even had pieces of corn. Everyone was friendly and I love that they offer some outdoor seating for days when the weather is nice. Parking not the greatest but there's a garage right across the street. Overall, Highly recommend.

Service was outstanding, food was good as well. We went for brunch on Sunday and since we arrived closer to their time to closing, we were able to be seated immediately. Our server was friendly, prompt and provided a few suggestions. We ordered our breakfast and everything was cooked to perfection. Served hot and was fresh. Cobb salad with pork on side was refreshing and the perfect portion size. The breakfast platter was served with a pumpkin pancake, choice of meat and eggs cooked to your liking. No complaints. Parking is available at a reduced rate if you park in the correct parking lot.

Came in last Sunday for breakfast. Such a cute spot! We got there around 10am and easily got a seat. It started filling up around 11. Our waiter was nice and attentive. I got a sweet potato pancake with peanut butter and banana plus a side of eggs. The pancake was soooo good!! Definitely recommend!

Top notch breakfast brunch spot! Can't go wrong with any of the dishes. Excellent food, excellent Bloody Mary, good service. One of the few places where you can get decent grits that actually taste great! One of the few places that sells whole hog sausage, also delicious. Today's meal was short ribs and grits. The corned beef hash is a favorite. Every dish I've eaten here has been very good and very well presented! I took off a star because it can get pricey, particularly with the small, unexpected upcharges.

Great breakfast spot right outside the city! Location and Parking Located in downtown Decatur, Folk art validates parking in the garage for 2 hours. Street parking is free on Sunday. Venue and Atmosphere The bright retro feel of Folk Art drew me in immediately! I opted for table seated and enjoyed my table being bathed in natural light while I perused the menu. Service Service was prompt, courteous, and efficient. Food and Beverages I had the reuben and cobb salad. While the salad was refreshing and delicious (always order extra dressing), the reuben needed more cheese and sauce. Verdict I'll be back!

I hadn't been here in a long time, so when a friend suggested to reunite here after not seeing each other for way too long, I was of course immediately in! Our brunch date began around 10:45am this morning (Saturday). I parked in the parking garage directly across from the restaurant (viewable from the window). Sadly, I found out that they don't validate! They do however offer discounted parking on a different garage, so be sure to park there instead. My friend walked in as I was parking and immediately got us a table. For a Saturday, this was especially exciting. I had worried about this since I couldn't find online where they took reservations for parties under 10 people, but I didn't need to! While they had other patrons dining already, they weren't completely slammed. I walked in the doors and entered a cute, casual restaurant with artsy flair. Our waitress was stylish and friendly. I ordered the three egg omelette with Gruyère, red peppers, green peppers, and mushrooms. The omelette was a little well-done for my taste, but still yummy. It came with a thick cup of grits that had corn in it, which gave it a nice sweet taste, as well as a choice of toast (I went with an English muffin for an up-charge), along with my request for the peach habanero jam that was calling my name. My friend got the gluten free French toast with hash browns and avocado. It's always nice to go somewhere where allergies are accommodated. I look forward to returning to try more dishes!

    GRIT FRITTERS.

My cousin and I decided to drop by Folk Art in Decatur after our first brunch spot didn't work out--and I'm glad we did! Even with no reservations on a Sunday late afternoon, we only waited about 15 minutes before grabbing seats at the bar. Not bad at all! We kicked things off with the Grit Fritters--deep-fried, cheesy goodness with just the right kick from the jalapeños, perfectly complemented by that sweet and spicy peach-habanero jam. For the main event, we both went for Eggs Benedict (because, why not?!). I had the Crab Cake Benedict with hashbrowns and a Sweet Potato Waffle on the side, while my cousin got the Short Rib Benedict loaded with peppers, sautéed spinach, and tomatoes. Both Bennies were absolute winners--flavorful, well-balanced, and perfectly executed! The hashbrowns were crispy perfection, but the sweet potato waffle fell a little short--thin, slightly overcooked, and not the Belgian-style thickness I expected. The flavor was there, though, so I'd be willing to give it another shot. Heads up on parking: It can be a bit of a challenge--only paid parking garages or paid street parking, which fills up fast on a busy brunch day. Overall: Great service, cozy ambiance, and solid brunch options in Decatur! I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu.

I've been here twice so far & the service was fast both times! I enjoy the ambiance of this spot, it reminds me of a neighborhood Diner! I enjoyed all of the food here but beware, the grits are sweet. If you don't enjoy sweet grits, I'd skip them.

Got a text back saying they don't take reservations, it's first come, first serve, but they would do what they could to accomodate us. 4 of us were seated and we had 2 more coming before we wanted to order. The wait staff was attentive, making sure we had our beverages and if we needed anything before the 2 arrived. Once they arrived, the staff gave us a few minutes to make sure the 2 had a chance to look at the menus. We ordered appetizers to start...corn bread, sage fried pierogies and poutine. We weren't sure about the poutine because we didn't see any gravy, we did see the cheese curds on the fries, but once we finally dug in, the gravy was at the bottom. The pierogies were tasty. We asked if they could cut the cornbread so each of us could get a taste, which they did. Corn bread had a toasted texture, and the honey butter was delicious! Everyone ordered something different. One had fish and chips, which would seem to be a likely order for a pub. Their special for the day was a ruben. Another ordered a falafel sandwich, and I think 2 salmon BLT's and then one salad with rainbow trout. Portions were not overwhelming, but we realized that we were full from the appetizers and almost everyone ended up taking most of their main choices in doggie bags (boxes). As time got closer to the festival to start, it did get crowded, but the staff handled the influx of people and people were seated relatively quickly. This was a nice destination as most of the group live a drive from Decatur. Lovely afternoon visit!

We usually have to circle around to find a spot, and walk to the restaurant. We came by for lunch on a Sunday. I like both the exterior and the interior design of the restaurant. The server was friendly and professional. We ordered drinks and two entrées. There was only one other table besides us, so just two tables total in the restaurant. After our drinks arrived, it took more than 45 minutes for the food to come out. The food itself was delicious. We had the half chicken and the trout. The ingredient quality is high, you can really taste it. However, the wait time was a bit too long, especially considering how empty the restaurant was. Aside from the long wait, everything else was good. I wonder if the delay was because we came shortly after they opened for lunch, but if they're open, the kitchen should be ready. Overall, the food is quite good, though the entree menu is somewhat limited, if excluding the pasta. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth trying. Personally, I'm not sure if I would come back. I'd rather not experience that long wait again, but maybe it was just an off day when I visited.

Two pieces of battered and fried white fish served with tartar sauce, a tiny scoop of cole slaw, and French fries. My companions had chicken wings, vegetarian chili, and poutine. The chili was fantastic, and I heard good things about the chicken, but the poutine was a pass. The cafe is reasonably large, with two dining areas inside plus a bar and an outdoor patio. Our waitress was pleasant but didn't offer any suggestions -- the valet attendant was nicer and actually did more than the waitress. We started with the $7 truffle french fries (happy hour portion, 4-7pm). They were enough for both of us. Crispy on the outside and soft in the center, but there was only a light dusting of cheese on the top layer of fries. It would be better if it were sprinkled throughout the entire pile. The grilled filet mignon ($52) was not good. It looked like ground hamburger shaped into an oval and had hardly any flavor at all.
