Not bad, not great, but also not a lot of options/variety for non-meat eaters. I ordered an egg and cheese sandwich on a brioche with avocado spread. The sandwich was very wet and mushy but flavorful. The brioche bread (which is listed as homemade) was delightful. The tots were crispy and salted to perfection. The caramel donut was the true buzzkill. The donut has a crispy creme brulee-like caramelized icing. The dough itself was too oily. Overall, the donut tasted odd. Service was friendly and food was prepared within a reasonable amount of time. I would not return but would encourage others to give it a taste. Sandwich - B Tots - A Donut - D read more

Today, I was in the mood for a good breakfast sandwich and decided to try Effin Egg, a place in my neighborhood that I hadn't visited yet. On this particular Friday morning, it wasn't busy at all when I walked in, so I was able to order right away using the screen. I went for the Effin Chicken sandwich, which features a fried chicken breast topped with cheddar cheese and effy sauce on a warm brioche bun ($9). I also got a cinnamon roll ($3.75). The wait was short, around 5-10 minutes, and everything came out hot, especially the cinnamon roll. It was so hot that I couldn't eat it right away, indicating it was fresh out of the oven. Both the sandwich and the cinnamon roll were nothing short of amazing. The brioche bun elevated the sandwich to the next level. The size of the chicken made the sandwich substantial enough that sides weren't necessary. The combination of cheese and effy sauce was perfect; I'm not sure what's in the sauce, but it's delicious. The cinnamon roll was equally impressive. It was warm, with cream cheese that was incredibly tasty. The roll itself was soft and easy to pull apart, and each bite melted in my mouth. Overall, the food was fantastic, and I loved the aesthetic of the place. read more

This place is eff'n good! I know it's hard to screw up eggs, but it's the green sauce is what makes it taste to good! It's not spice, but it does taste creamy. The eggs are also season, SEASONED not salty ! I'm glad restaurants are beginning to normalize the use of seasons and not salt to make food taste good! I usually order from this place pretty frequently! read more

Effin Egg definitely has the potential to be a great breakfast/brunch spot. It wasn't busy when I went so I got to ordering right away at their self ordering station. I didn't order much, just a fried chicken sandwich which was $9.00. I thought it was a bit pricey. The sandwich I received was prepared fresh and hot. The chicken was fresh out the fryer but lacked flavor. I could've ordered a flavorful chicken biscuit for less at Chick-fil-A. I am not sure if I will be back, but I'm kind of curious to try their other menu items. read more

The food was OK. We came to Atlanta very late one night and due to circumstances out of our control we had no car to go places the next day. We were very hungry the next morning so we used Uber Eats for the first time and Effen Egg came up first. It looked like their food would hit the spot. We ordered a Boring Egg, avocado sandwich with egg whites and an oat milk latte. The food came quickly and when we opened the wrappings, we were surprised as how "basic" they looked. The bagels were as if they came from a supermarket aisle and tossed in the microwave. They tasted OK but nothing really special. The latte was quite good! read more

I saw this place while driving and just knew I had to check it out. I didn't wait long for the food nor did I pay a lot. I ordered Javier's burrito and a cinnamon roll. The burrito was good but too much egg in my opinion. The cinnamon roll...was hard as a rock, I was so disappointed. I didn't realize until I was home and didn't want to make a big deal out of it but that definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. Overall, I personally wouldn't recommend it but it's always good to form your own opinion. read more

Quite tasty though a tad high at $7 for some tots. Effin Tots come with avocado creams, bacon which we chose to not have placed on there. Speaking of bacon they pile it on on the bacon egg and cheese sandwich on a brioche. The egg on the sandwich is over easy and brioche is very good. Seating outside. Decor was very well designed and lots of branded merchandise. Not sure if this the best business case for a restaurant due to location as a mostly take out. But would definitely go back again especially since I got horribly sick from eat at Folk Art across the street. read more

The food is good 50% of the time, you get the wrong order 25% of the time, and the food is old and clearly has been hastily microwaved the other 25% of the time. When it's good it's delicious! The amount of bread items I get with weird hard spots from being microwaved, though, means this is a "ugh, I guess if there's nothing else" place for me. read more

This spot has it all! I thoroughly enjoyed the food, the cleanliness of the establishment and the various food options. Their slogans and merchandise was nice to see as well. There was a little of a language barrier when it comes to workers and patrons if you don't speak English but overall we give this place a 9/10! My favorite was the "OG". So far so good, i stopped by to enjoy a good breakfast along with some coffee and I'm happy I did. I ordered the CEO breakfast sandwich, the veggie sausage breakfast burrito and the breakfast tacos and coffee. Pretty good stuff. The food is prepared relatively quickly. Their whole concept is takeout so you order your food at the kiosk and wait for it in the pick up line. This is a totally cashless store. I definitely liked a scrambled egg style sandwich so the CEO, was right up my alley. The breakfast burrito was pretty good as well, it makes me curious to try more of them soon. If I had to pick a favorite so far it was the breakfast tacos, the added pico de Gallo was really fresh and made the tacos really savory. Definitely liked the coffee too. For parking you're on your own so just keep that in mind when you visit, but overall worth visiting. read more

Even if I was a drunk college student... Pass Egg sandwich, very well done and salty "Silver dollar" pancakes, Like a dry biscuit. Thick, sugary and not so tasty. Butter even sucked. Real salty bacon, but prob the best part of breakfast Breakfest bowl, wouldn't order with Mt. Of Cheese and skip the cheap avacado sauce. read more

The chicken sandwich sandwich is not real chicken. It's the chicken that you would get at McDonald's on like they're McChicken and then it's deep-fried and it's still nine dollars so yeah, not good. The service was great but the food or at least the chicken sandwich was terrible. read more

Unfortunately, the name is the only great thing about this place. Breakfast sandwich on a bread bun? Yuk. A biscuit, English muffin, etc. would be way better. I may go back to try the tacos or burrito, but the sandwich did nothing for me. The ordering kiosk is fine, but it doesn't allow you to request substitutions; very rigid. I'd rather get Chick-Fil-A. read more

Prices are outrageous. $20 for a coffee, hashbrown and egg sandwich. Next time I'll go to McDonald's, where the hash browns are wayyyyyyy better (cut up potatoes is not hashbrowns). Also no greeting when I came in. Only customer here, and waited a while for food, and order was wrong, and coffee cup 75% full. Really bad experience all around. read more

Really poor quality ingredients, oddly tasting and greasy. We stopped in for breakfast and ordered the grilled cheese (which was really oddly sweet), avocado and egg bagel (poor quality school cafeteria type bagel and very rancid tasting avocado), Burger King tasting tots (very greasy) and an average orange juice. This meal was over $35 for 2 sandwiches, tots and an orange juice. We had to throw the meal out it was so bad- very overpriced and sad experience and will not be going back. We went to this restaurant because of the great Yelp reviews- but feel maybe those reviews had a bias of sorts. read more

Sub-par coffee at $3 per cup. Stale cinnamon bun microwaved. For amazing cinnamon buns - and good coffee - go half a block away to Pastries a Gogo. But they were closed on Tuesdays (sadly). For amazing coffee at market prices, go to Dancing Goats Decatur about two blocks away (which also does serve baked goods, bagels). Both have SIGNIFICANTLY better atmosphere. Please learn from my mistake try "something new." It's a franchise. So they probably have to cut costs somewhere. The food quality is where it hurts. Never again. read more

Love this place. They're reliable & open late. Great iced lattes and breakfast sandwiches. Absolutely delicious.

It's Effin Messy! I ordered the Jax Sausage egg and cheese. I was excited to try it and opened it in the car. We paid $20 for 2 items and for the pricing the food was not good. The "fluffy" pancakes were dry, and not a pleasing texture. We also had the CEO and it was pretty flavorless. I did a pick order and realized when I got home that they forgot to add the chipotle sauce that was listed on the description. The bun was soft and that is the only good thing about this place. Yum! I didn't know what to expect as there are no reviews and this is clearly a new business. I enjoyed Javier's burrito, but I wished there was more bacon and less black beans. Accepted a mother's day order on Uber eats and then canceled with no apology. Ruined mother's day for my wife and mother.

I work in government downtown Decatur and thought I would try this place even with the mixed reviews. Unfortunately, I will never return. When my colleagues and I entered the business, we greeted the individuals working behind the counter and were met with no responses. It's as though they were not eager to have us in their restaurant. I called the young lady over and advised her that it was very rude to not acknowledge your patrons. After all, your business will never flourish without the patrons supported it. She apologized and proceeded back to the kitchen. So we concluded that because we didn't look like patrons you wanted to serve, you didn't value our business. Your loss was Folk Art's gain. read more
