    Uno tournament with friends
    Joy S.

My girlfriends and I enjoyed the Wild Uno Tournament on Thursday evening. It was easy to make a reservation for 6 on Resy.com. Street parking is free after 6 pm in Decatur. Upon arrival I was quickly greeted and let to our reserved table. Our waitress was so friendly. She made recommendations and showed us the summer specials. A couple of my friends ordered the dog days of summer iced latte and 1 ordered the lemon raspberry matcha. I ordered an iced chai, tomato soup, and ham/brie sandwich. Everything was fresh and delicious. We enjoyed the uno tournament and even though we didn't win, we had a wonderful time and look forward to returning for bingo and dominos.

This quaint little coffee and tea shop is very nice. It is so relaxing and quiet inside. I had a hot hibiscus tea that was amazing while my wife had a hot vanilla latte which she was excited about. They have some food items but we came here for the beverages and tranquil atmosphere.

Such a cute place to work from! I highly recommend the matcha -- it's ceremonial so def good quality. I haven't had the food but the pastries are delicious and from St. Germaine. There's also a ton of games you can play. People are very kind!

Second visit to this place in Decatur. I think it fits really nice with the whole Decatur vibe, it's beautifully decorated and has a good ambience. In my visits there's always a large crowd, so I ended up sitting outside (one time in summer and now in winter time), that kind of made stay for a short period of time. They have limited seating inside and tables look pretty close to each other, I'm not sure how comfortable this could be if you want to work there. Service is good and their menu is simple but functional. This time I got a Mocha and I was satisfied with the flavors, size and presentation. I also grabbed a Coffee mouse and it was pretty tasty and perfect size (but a little pricey to be honest). It's a nice place.

Very nice space with an indoor and outdoor area. The service was very good and the food was tasty. I ordered a sandwich with a smoothie. Also located in a central area with nearby shops.

Delicious coffee and food. Expensive price point. Paid $20 for a turkey pesto panini. Homemade syrups and cozy study space. Service is fast in clearing tables.

The Reading Room is such a great spot in Decatur! It's a cute breakfast, lunch, and wine spot! For breakfast you can get delicious coffees and pastries! And lunch they have amazing sandwiches! I have not been for nighttime, but I've heard its a great little wine vibe!! People come here to meet for coffee, read books & work! It is right be Decatur square, so street parking is probably the best!

We enjoyed our book club meeting at The Reading Room! It's a very vibrant spot, especially on a Saturday. We were able to sit and talk while enjoying a few menu items. I had the Ice Queen, a delicious cold drink. I'd highly recommend for catching up with friends!

Surprisingly, the food (at least just the fries) at Reading Room was delicious. Pretty empty on a Monday afternoon. The vibes are amazing here as always. I love the decor and comfy seating. It's a busy cafe and wine bar though so be warned. I had a hot sunrise latte. It was fairly good with the spices. It came with a cute little latte heart This is always my go to place in Decatur to show visiting friends!

We didn't have any food but we had a few drinks. Honestly, it's a little strange that a place is called "the reading room" is so unfit for actual reading. It's too dark and the music is loud even though books and literature are the decor and theme. At least the seats and tables themselves were nice. The waitstaff were great but they were a bit slow with service. This place is half-bar and half-cafe but not a proper reading spot...

I came here with a friend to study. She had been raving about the ambiance of this cafe for studying and it did disappoint! It is so quaint and warm inside. It is the perfect place to go on an intimate date or get some work done. The food is very very expensive for the portions you get though so keep that in mind. The service was decent as well nothing special. I definitely would love to come back to study here again!

Bounced into ATL for a birthday party and needed a cute snack before the real feast so we came here. I was surprised at how cute it was but what really made my day was the selection of homemade granolas they had available. I am a HUGE fan of granola and their variety was delicious along with the yogurt and honey. Oat milk Latte was pretty good too - the beans were roasted to perfection. I also took home a few macarons, which were ok but the pear tart I had was SO SO SO GOOD! There were a couple of people studying or off in the own world-This spot is low key so calls for that kind of chill vibe. If you're looking for a cool spot to study or just simply be - drop in

The place is so, so cute, and they have outlets underneath all the seats along their main wall and consistent wifi. That said, stick to the basics here - just coffee and simple pastries. They've got some beautiful treats like the peach tart I had the last time I was there, but *please* believe me when I say this was one of the worst desserts I've had in the city. It was so bland, it did not even have the thought of a peach in it. Get a coffee and a danish or an overpriced sandwich and enjoy the ambiance

We were lucky to be served by Hannah, who was kind and knowledgeable. She was an excellent help with guiding us towards the best drinks for our tastes and the food we were contemplating. I had an espresso martini and another one I can't recall the name of, but it had champagne in it, while my hubby had the Hello sunshine and the Between the Sweet Symphony. For dinner, we share the melt-in-your-mouth crudo, the crispy, but all-meat crab rissoles, and the dry-aged marbled grouper for the main. Every bite of each dish was so delectable. We ended our evening with a dessert that reminded me of an elevated apple pie and an amaro. We love it all so much that we want to come back and try other drinks and food items on the menu. We visited after a graduation celebration and were looking forward to a memorable meal. The experience got off to a rough start with hosts who were not particularly warm or welcoming. Once seated, things only went downhill. Our waiter seemed disorganized from the beginning. We ordered appetizers first, but they arrived at different times, and to make matters worse, the graduate in our party received her main entrée at the same time the rest of us were receiving appetizers. I politely explained that it didn't make sense for one guest to be eating her entrée while everyone else was still eating appetizers and waiting for their meals. His response was confusing and didn't really address the issue, so we let it go. Unfortunately, the graduate's steak was served cold. Rather than preparing a fresh one, the restaurant simply took it back and returned it about two minutes later. It appeared to be the exact same steak based on how we had left it when it was sent back, and while I'm not sure whether restaurants typically reheat food or prepare a new dish altogether, this one was reheated. To make matters worse, the graduate ended up with a stomachache after eating it. As we continued waiting, our entrées never arrived. The waiter was polite but extremely inattentive. We repeatedly had to flag him down because he rarely checked on our table. After a VERY long wait, I asked about the rest of our meals. At that point, he admitted that he had forgotten to place our entree orders altogether. He then had to take all of our orders again and submit them to the kitchen. By the time our food finally arrived, we were no longer hungry and were extremely frustrated, despite remaining patient and courteous throughout the entire experience. The entrées were decent, but nothing exceptional, especially considering the extremely excessive wait and service issues. The waiter did bring a small dessert for the graduate, which was a nice touch, but it felt more like a complimentary gesture because he had forgotten our entrées than a genuine celebration of the occasion, especially given how disastrous the overall experience had been. What should have been a joyful graduation celebration turned into an exhausting and disappointing dining experience. While the waiter was polite, the service was slow, disorganized, and lacking attention to detail. Overall, this was a poor first experience and not one I would be eager to repeat.

Overall it was an underwhelming experience and I would likely not return.
