    A date night MUST

Best Atlanta speakeasy nestled on Ponce. Our server was amazing: great energy, knowledgeable and dance moves that only MJ could mimic. The music was jamming, the lighting and elegance was unmatched and the patrons were all singing along. We had a couple cocktails and glasses of wine plus a dessert (get the mini peach) to wind down from dinner. I will definitely be back.

Such a great experience! The space is small and can get loud, but I definitely recommend it for a wonderful dessert. We tried three dishes, and we loved the guava glazed doughnuts. So simple, but so delicious! The mango white chocolate dessert was stunning and the bread pudding with banana was on point. I also had a mocktail (dealers choice) and it was a tart citrusy drink that was well balanced. Overall, I would definitely recommend Bar Ana for a night cap and sweet bite.

As soon as I arrived I said this would be a great date night spot but is easy to miss as it's to the back of a building down a hill. It was very loud when I entered but it was a small space with a lot of people inside. I sat at the bar and just a warning the bar seats are not short people friendly. I tried the guava G&T and the guava donuts... If you can't tell already I like guava. I absolutely loved the drink and the donuts were good too the cream cheese ice cream that came with the donuts was a little too sweet for me but tasted just like cream cheese.

I visited Bar Ana for my birthday and I thoroughly enjoyed myself! We ordered the guava glazed doughnuts (pink peppercorn streusel - cream cheese ice cream) and lemon drop. The music selection was great and just the right volume so we could still hear each other when we talked. I loved the decor! The interior design is beautiful. The low lighting and pink hue worked perfect together. Our waitress was Katie D and she was awesome. I will definitely be back for a nightcap.

Hands down, a new staple for me for date night or cocktails with friends. Bar Ana is a dessert and cocktail bar owned by award winning pastry chef Claudia Martinez and hospitality entrepreneur Artie de los Santos. Located where El Bar used to me, the vibes are chic and sexy and you feel transported as soon as you step through their green door. Enjoyed the Ana Daiquiri with passionfruit and cardamom and the Cafe Correcto which to me was like a mix between an old fashioned and espresso martini. Really enjoyed the guava doughnuts and apple spice cake as well. Appreciate that they also have a few snacks like olives and charcuterie with local cheeses. There's bar seating for walk ins but I'd recommend making a reservation. It's a great time.

My friends and I went to Bar ANA for the first time and we loved the experience!! Finding the door to get in was a bit tricky, but I really enjoyed the concept of it being more hidden as a speakeasy. When you enter, you're greeted by the host stand, and the host was very sweet and accommodating for us. Then, you walk through a thick curtained doorway to the bar, and the interior is decorated beautifully. The area is quite small, and gives a more intimate atmosphere with the limited seating. Unless you're walking in for the bar seating, I highly recommend getting a reservation for a table. Even if you come in for bar seating, because the seats are limited and the restaurant is quite popular, I think you'd have to come by earlier in the evening in order to guarantee a chair. We were a group of 5, so we were seated in a more secluded lounge area off to the side with a large couch and some small tables for food and drinks. We ordered almost all of the different cocktails: the dirty pineapple, guava g&t, ANA daiquiri, mahalo, and caribbean sour. As someone who prefers sweet cocktails, I thought the drinks were quite strong in alcohol flavor, at least more than I expected. They were still delicious, and my favorite was the guava g&t and caribbean sour which were the sweeter options of the ones we tried. We also had the charcuterie platter and guava donuts--I absolutely LOVED the guava donuts!!! The charcuterie board was also good, but for the price, I wish it was a fuller plate. I loved Bar ANA, but what left the biggest impression on me was the exceptional service! From the host stand, to our server, to the general staff checking in on us, everyone was so sweet, attentive, and welcoming! There was a lady who came to check on us a couple times, I unfortunately missed her name, she had short black hair and a contagiously bubbly and fun personality, and came by a couple times to check on us and even recommended a couple to great drinks for us to try. I wanted to give her a small shout out, she was so sweet and personable!! The lighting in the lounge was red, but the rest of the bar had normal dimmed lighting. I wanted to point that out because all my pictures show the red lighting. All in all, we had a great time, got a lot of cute pictures, and really enjoyed the food, service, and ambiance. I definitely want to come back, especially for those guava donuts!!!

This place is amazing! Incredible vibe and the desserts were ridiculously good! The server gave us the perfect recs for a night to remember. One of the best dining experiences I've ever had. Will absolutely be returning here very soon.

Gorgeous bar in a discreet location with fabulous cocktails and decadent desserts. The door faces the back of the building and parking lot.

They hold a jazz night every Tuesday with live music for a nice chill, yet fun, vibe. Just a warning, the space inside is pretty small--typically there's optional seating outside, but it's really chilly at the moment (although they have heaters)--but there's more seating downstairs in The Victorian Atlanta plant shop. I didn't realize that the two were connected! FYI, if you sit downstairs, you'll be seated next to where the live music performers will be playing, so it will be louder there. As for the drinks, I tried the Zombie. I loved it so much, I ordered a second one instead of trying a different one! It tasted sweet and slightly tropical with the rum and spiced liqueur. It also had some absinthe, which I was worried about when I first ordered it since I hate the taste of it (not a big fan of black licorice flavors), but I didn't taste it at all! Overall, this place had such a great vibe to it!

Also, parking isn't free--you'll need to scan a QR code or text to pay. We made online reservations to celebrate my husband's birthday and were glad we did. Our server, Robert, was fantastic--attentive without being overbearing. He made great recommendations and was happy to move us from a small table to a more comfortable booth when we asked. They offer a wide variety of alcoholic drinks, but we opted for "Mocktail #2," which was pink, fruity, and refreshing with watermelon, mint, and lime soda. We started with the Chargrilled Louisiana Oysters, which were perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious--honestly, the best I've ever had. The Volcano Roll was also great--generous in size and perfect for sharing. It's listed as having "spicy crab," but I didn't find it spicy at all (a plus for me!). If you want more heat, wasabi is served on the side. For entrees, I had the Salmon Teriyaki and my husband had the Braised Beef. My salmon was perfectly cooked and came with fluffy white rice and mixed vegetables. But he definitely won the entree round--his beef was tender, flavorful, and served with what tasted like sweet mashed potatoes (the menu said red potatoes). The glazed carrots were slightly firm but still tasty. To top it all off, we were served a mini chocolate cake with whipped vanilla icing--soft, rich, and perfect for sharing. The inside isn't the largest resource been to, but has plenty of seating. The atmosphere is relaxed and we saw people dressed up and down. Overall, we had a great experience. Bully Boy is a gem, and I hope you're lucky enough to have Robert as your server!

Some dishes stood out - the peanut noodles, the lobster with the same noodles, salmon crudo, and wings were pretty good too. Everything else was either not great or very mid - the platter, calamari, salmon was not crispy skin and was overcooked, fries, sardine bruschetta. We spent $400 with tip and I only liked or remembered about 20% of what we ordered. Drinks are beautiful and creative. We placed a reservation online and arrived a little early to fight the ATL traffic, and our table was still ready for us. The standout at this location to us was the service. Our server, Erin was insanely knowledgeable about the menu. Her recommendations were catered to our taste perfectly. I had the chicken, which was seared beautifully while still remaining juicy. I also had a cocktail which tasted carefully crafted. We enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant as well, the decor was hip and right in our style. First, I tried to see the menu online but quickly found there are a lot of menus and they change, so you can't really know what they're serving. They had just five entrees to pick from, and none were very appetizing. Each was over-engineered, too. They were good about asking about allergies, but if you're traveling and careful about introducing new things to your diet, maybe this place isn't for you. They do have a steak. At $200, it's made for the entire table. You can't just get a steak, even though they clearly have steak. Frankly, a lot of the menu was just gross. Sweetbreads, steak tartare, veal. We picked a chicken plate with potatoes. The potatoes were fine. The chicken was very dry. I asked for iced tea. "We don't serve tea products" was the response. WTF? And while the cocktail and wine choices seemed numerous, the beer was extremely limited. We just stuck with water. Then there was the service. The staff were polite and prompt, but some of the habits were just deeply weird. They kept coming by and folding our napkins. Like, you get up, use the bathroom (an unmarked door adjacent to the kitchen), come back, and somebody has picked up your napkin, the one you've been touching your face with, folded it with their bare hands, and left it there. Look, servers roll silverware and I'm no germophobe, but we really don't need more people touching my napkin throughout the meal, do we? This carried over to other staff who would randomly stop by to clear plates and wipe the table down while we all had to stop talking, watch them replace perfectly clean silverware with new perfectly clean silverware, and then leave. Always with new people. None of this makes it a bad restaurant. It's probably exactly what some people are looking for. It just isn't for me.

There's no pressure, no strict dress code--just a come-as-you-are energy, and people genuinely receive you that way. Within five minutes of being there, I already felt comfortable. Everyone was so friendly--the bartenders, the people around us, even the random interactions felt warm and easy. The space itself is really cool too.
