Stereo is a really cute vinyl cocktail bar located off of Dekalb Ave. There are some parking spots up front, but the majority of parking is next door by Lloyd's with an entrance on that side too. I came with a friend around 7pm on a Saturday and the place wasn't too crowded. We were seated immediately. They have both inside and outdoor patio tables. The vibe was chill with music playing at a decent volume, but over the next hour the place got very crowded and the music got louder. By 9pm, the place was quite packed and we were politely asked to close out to give our table to others waiting in line. I was very surprised by the cocktails - in a good way. I was pretty hesitant looking at the cocktail menu because most of the drinks had at least one ingredient that I don't like. However, the drinks were fantastic. I got the Hot in the Shade and my friend got the Fast Idol, which were both delicious. I don't even like gin and yet my drink, which has both gin and vodka, were outstanding. I will definitely be back! It's a great spot for a chill hangout cocktail bar but definitely get there before 7:30 if you want a table. read more

Stereo is the new vinyl bar open on the early side of the day for people who need somewhere to take a meeting, work, or just take a break. They also open back up later in the evening closer to the weekend for the night crowd. Service is always cool and helpful although you might feel like it's the epitome of a hipster neighborhood hangout. Excited to see how this place continues growing into itself. I would love to hear some more range of music selections and the volume can be a little bit loud on the early side of the day. All in all it's a great place to check out! read more

I had no idea. I had only been by there during the day and, foolishly it turns out, thought Stereo was a coffee shop. Well, it turns out that at night the coffee shop puts on cool clothes and sunglasses and becomes a very hip bar. Thanks to friend Marian for inviting us to join them at Stereo. Ben, Marian's very cool husband, was the DJ for the night and we had the pleasure of listening to some of the coolest jazz I've heard in a long time. The drinks were great too. The space is comfortable, The decor is stylish. The customers weren't kids looking to find a date but folks in their 30s and 40s with their partners and friends. Note: lots of bearded guys with baseball caps in plaid shirts. The women were much more stylish. There was plenty of parking. read more

Fun coffee bar by day, cocktail bar by night. I have not yet been to the cocktail bar at night but frequent the coffee bar on Saturdays - especially when they host the Crates & Coffee. Coffee is good, decent price and perfect temperature. You can still get an actual glass or mug vs paper if you are dining/drinking in. I have not tried any of the food/snack offerings. Orders are taken at the bar and your name is called so you have to pay a bit of attention. Crates & Coffee has one or two local vinyl collectors and/or sellers and one DJ spinning a vibe from 11am-2ish pm on various Saturdays. It is worth checking out ... you can sit outside as well and it has a very friendly crowd - people are not buried in their phones or doing the TikTok crap of other coffee houses. I decided to take my girl on a date night to start at Stereo this past Friday night and I have no complaints (well maybe one!?), but we will get into that later. To start, Stereo is a cafe during the day and turns into a vibey, cocktail cafe with vinyl spins during the night. I have not had the pleasure of visiting during the day as of yet, but will be planning a visit very soon. So my only complaint...parking. There is a small lot attached directly to the building with roughly 6 parking spots and then a shared lot a building over that is pretty small in my opinion. I was driving a pickup truck that night and even if I did find a parking space, not sure I would have fit comfortably so we drove down a street over and parked on the street/neighborhood parking and did a short 5 min walk! There are no reservations so as far as seating goes, they have a few two top tables, a couple loft/couch seating areas for larger groups, and some tables outside on the patio. There is also a large communal table across from the bar which we were able to grab two barstools at within 10/15 min of being there. We originally came here with just hopes of a pre-cocktail hour before dinner and to listen to the vinyls since I myself am a collector. Well let's just say, one drink turned into two drinks and a charcuterie board, but I'm not complaining! See my ratings/descriptions below for what we ordered. Cross Guild Cocktail: 10/10, so clean tasting and the bartender was clearly skilled at his craft. I loved that he took his time creating each order versus batch making cocktails. Noche Sensorial: 8/10, super smoky and I know I'm a hit or miss with Mezcal so I wouldn't take my judgment of this cocktail the most serious Spinner's End Highball: 8/10, a little sweet for my liking but I am a gin fan and this maintained the floral essence of gin and is a great way to introduce someone who may not be the most keen to the spirit Charcuterie (Mahon, Drunken Goat, Finocchiona Salame): 10/10, now idk how or why but this was one of the most simple boards I have ever had but each item was DELICIOUS. Those cheeses and the grain mustard...a hit for us. All in all, the prices were reasonable, the decor gives lofty but light vibe, and the people were diverse and friendly. Another darling coffee shop with dope vibes is Stereo. It was a full house on a rainy Saturday, plus they had a vinyl record sale going on. We fell in line to order drinks and food. I got a hot matcha latte, husband a cappuccino and we shared an egg and cheese biscuit. They were super busy so there was quite a wait for our order. They yell your name and you pick up from the bar area. The latte was good but too sweet for my taste, so I drank half of it and gave it to my husband. We did enjoy the biscuit though. It was already premade and heated it up in the oven. They also have liquor behind the bar, so I'm assuming they serve cocktails at some point during the day. I've never been during the day when it's a coffee shop, I've only been when it's a cocktail bar at night. Kudos to the owner for maximizing the space. I really commend their savvy business acumen. During the weekend it's a bit too packed for me and it's hard to find parking unless you search back in the neighborhood. I choose to come on Wednesday or Thursday when things are a bit more calm. The DJs are pretty awesome here and like others have said it's an awesome spot for music. The night I was there it was DJ SRCE playing Yugoslavia synth on a Wednesday. The lounge is sexy and comfy and when it's not crazy it's very cozy. I had the Santorini's Coffee. It throws you off because it is clear, but it taste just like an Irish coffee. Someone came by to check on us, which I always appreciate. There's really not places around the neighborhood like it. Bottom line if you want a relaxing lounge try Wednesday or Thursday, want a bit more party try the weekends. Sexy spot good for an after dinner drink. read more

The service was great and the retro hipster coffee shop turned "lounge" at night was truly a vibe. The drinks were good but I wasn't too happy with the food. I think if they removed the cracker and offered a different bread with a little sea salt the "smorgas" (if I'm saying that right) would be at better. The DJ on vinyl was great. read more

It is by a MARTA line though, but I feel like it adds to the little hipster vibe whenever the train passes by. The bartender was really chill and nice, gave a lot of good recommendations. Only reason to give it less than 5 stars is the parking situation, because this place doesn't have access to street parking and the parking lot is pretty small. The decor in here is so cute! It is very open, with a full coffee bar (I think a normal bar at night) multiple leather couches and chairs. The walls are shelved with records and there is a mix table on one side of the building for a DJ to come in. It feels like a very nice retro vibe, and is a very nice place to hang out during the day. I haven't been at night but I do hope to come back. We did get 3 drinks to try here, a cortado, a cappuccino, and a matcha latte. The matcha latte was a little bland, but it was fine, likely wouldn't get that again. read more

Got parking this time woooot! This plaza can be so busy sometimes haha but it worked out! This is a great coffee shop not too far from where I live. I love the people that work here they are always super pleasant. Their coffee is good, my favorite latte is the honey lavender with oat milk. But I also love their vanilla! If you haven't tried their sausage egg and cheese biscuits definitely try those as well! I take them home and put jelly on them when I'm feeling spicy and they are delicious. Stereo is located near Krog street tunnel, and the space is humongous. There was tons of parking on the side which made it really easily accessible. The decor and aesthetic of this place is really great. Came super early on weekday and it was already busy! I ordered the matcha latte and it came sweetened already, it was good but a little too milky in my opinion. Overall, they have a great space to chill, catch up with friends or do some work. I did notice a lot of people with laptops here so I assume it's a great study/work spot. The service was friendly as well. Would definitely be back to try the other drinks. read more

Visited during cocktail hour. Pro | The aesthetics were amazing. Good music and vibe. Not too loud. Can still have a conversation with your friends. Good customer service. Con | Very limited food and drink menu. Wish there was a better selection. Even something pleasing to the eye and fun. Also, was a little confused on where or how to order if you're not at a table and the bar is full. Lastly, parking can be a challenge. Tried the smorgas (3 for $16). Had the shrimp salad, vegetable, and pimento cheese. I'd give them a 6 out of a 10. Also tried the Said the Sky $9. Wasn't strong but was light and refreshing. Will return to try out the coffee. I've visited three times since their Stereo rebrand: once during the day, twice at night. The ambiance is gorgeous day and night: cozy with big windows and well-styled decor. There are individual tables and larger group seating, but are pretty limited. Plenty of standing space to mill around, which was MUCH needed on a saturday. Vinyl records lined the walls, and the DJ sound station was on the opposing side of the bar. Parking is limited, but there's another lot next to Lloyd's P Servers and bartenders were kind and offered to clean up but weren't the type to get into conversation with you. Food and drink menus were limited, and the flatbread type smorgasbord we ordered was flavorful yet small for the $16 price tag. My favorite drink was the Spinners' End, a light gin, pandan, and genepy drink. My friends' favorite part was the vinyl DJ sets at night. Sets range from a Japanese city pop focus to the Norah Jones cover of "Black Hole Sun". As a biiig music fan, I loved using this as a chance to discover music over drinks. So the decorum is very nice with pretty good music and affordable drinks. However the parking is extremely limited and they do not have restrooms the public can use. You have to leave out the building to go next door (pizza place) to use their bathroom but they only have two stalls that are unisex. I waited in line to use the bathroom, when it was finally my turn to go in and I walked in to a horrible stench of urine and a extremely wet floor, I couldn't even use the bathroom it was disgusting. The pizza place and Stereo, two whole buildings have only two toilets? I ended up not even getting a drink because I knew if I had to use the bathroom there would be no options near by. I came here tonight with 6 people, 2 of which are sober from alcohol. When asking the bartender NA options he told us that he was out of all NA liquor and had no juice, and then told us there was water jug in the corner. So after ordering a charcuterie board & 4 cocktails we asked for 2 soda waters, and after making them the bartender goes "why is everyone ordering soda water, is the water cooler out?" With a severe attitude. I think it's inappropriate that the only NA option here was water, or soda water paired with a nasty comment. Charcuterie board was good though! read more
