Super cute little wine bar. We came around 6pm Friday and the place was pretty empty but they had a lot of reservations starting around 7. Luckily we weren't planning to stay long. We only got 1 glass of wine. Low lighting and vinyl records playing. A perfect intimate date night spot. They have a small food menu as well. Check out their website to see the style of music they'll have that night. It seems like it's mostly old or alternative style music. Parking: plenty of street or nearby parking at closed warehouse style buildings.

My "glass" of wine I received that was really just a half pour.

Updated review as the business responded to my initial review. The only thing "inaccurate" about my previous review is that this place does not serve cocktails, so I can admit that was an error on my part. However, this again reinforces my point that the bartenders and servers should have been more efficient at serving glasses of wine in a timely manner. As someone who has been to various spots that fall in the low, mid, or high end categories all over the world, I still maintain that the pours were below the standard pours served at most restaurants and bars, specifically in and around Atlanta and were severely overpriced. The service was also again subpar and I'm sure all parties can be content in knowing that I will not be returning and do not recommend this spot.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place was has cool ambience and the dj was playing great music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service started slow but overall our server took great care of us. The tomatoes and burrata were good, the broccolini was amazing, the pasta was ok, kinda overcooked. They have interesting wine options. I would come back.

Commune is a cool little spot that place vinyl and intimate. Reservation are a most when I went. Plenty of wine selection and the food is not bad. Perfect little spot to take it easy catch up with a friend or a date night. Favorite part is the rotating Dj and the sound system.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Really fun place. Great vibe overall.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was delicious (coconut brioche and Syrian lentil soup were both amazing.) [[HIGHLIGHT]]All-vinyl jazz set, warm atmosphere, great service and nice wine list.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] What's not to like? We will be back!

We started with the happy hour chef's choice board. Really done well and the meat and cheese was spot on. The two of shared the broccolini, the pork cheek tacos, and the empanadas for our main meal. And, as if that wasn't enough, finished the experience with the pistachio cheesecake! It was a wonderful experience. Immediately what popped into my mind that usually I would say the blah was the best and I wouldn't order the blah again. I can't say that- everything we ordered was just super. We went during happy hour (5-6 Monday through Friday). They had $24 charcuterie boards (2 meats and 2 cheeses; preset, you cannot choose which ones you want). My favorite thing on the charcuterie board was the chorizo and manchego cheese. They also have $6 red wine, white wine, or sangria. The red wine was good but the sangria was better! We also ordered patatas bravas, bacon wrapped dates (B.W.D.), mushroom flatbread, almonds, olives, calamari, and croquettes. Every single thing was outstanding and flavored to perfection. It's worth the price for a fancier night out.

The items I ordered were so good. The fried grouper and the charred oysters, good. I forgot the drink but it was really good and strong. Black cherries? Say no more. I love black cherries especially when soaked in bourbon. The only miss for me was the in-house made ice cream and cookie, hated it. Texture was really hard like it wouldn't melt in the sun... and it was tasteless. This is a intimate-ish place. Seemed to get darker in there as time passed. The dimmed the lights for sure as I was sitting there. It was all couples in there. Not first date couples, long time relationship regulars. I need to be a regular so the bartender can hook me up. He was giving regulars drinks to try according to their taste, free. Very nice, in the neighborhood vibe. I always forget about this area. So glad I found/tried this place. This entire strip has like 4 places I can't wait to try. Kind of reminds me of the Inman Park restaurant strip. Highly recommend.

We were lucky to be served by Hannah, who was kind and knowledgeable. She was an excellent help with guiding us towards the best drinks for our tastes and the food we were contemplating. She explained the menu in detail and helped us curate the perfect meal. I had an espresso martini and another one I can't recall the name of, but it had champagne in it, while my hubby had the Hello sunshine and the Between the Sweet Symphony. For dinner, we share the melt-in-your-mouth crudo, the crispy, but all-meat crab rissoles, and the dry-aged marbled grouper for the main. Every bite of each dish was so delectable. We ended our evening with a dessert that reminded me of an elevated apple pie and an amaro. We love it all so much that we want to come back and try other drinks and food items on the menu. This restaurant is an excellent addition to our rotation of drinks and food.

My little sister kept it simple with the grilled chicken, fresh raw veggies, fresh lemonade, and ice cream for dessert. She was happy, so that's what matters! We started with the bucket of fries for the table and sampled all the dipping sauces: garlic aioli, sweet chili BBQ, and Diablo. The Diablo wasn't spicy like I expected, but it had really great flavor. The garlic aioli was my personal favorite, while the sweet chili BBQ was the crowd favorite around the table. For my meal, I ordered the blackened burger with bacon and jalapeños, plus the kale Caesar salad. Adding the bacon and jalapeños was definitely the right move! The burger was juicy, flavorful, and incredibly filling. The kale Caesar was much larger than I expected, so keep that in mind if you're ordering it as a side. We also tried the pork belly, which I'd give a 7.5/10. It was good, but it wasn't the standout dish of the meal. For drinks, the Seed Spitter was incredibly fresh and refreshing, and the Strawberry Delight was another solid choice. Overall, Leon's has a relaxed neighborhood vibe with generous portions, flavorful food, and fun sauces to try. I'd definitely come back. Overall rating: 8/10.

We visited after a graduation celebration and were looking forward to a memorable meal. The experience got off to a rough start with hosts who were not particularly warm or welcoming. Once seated, things only went downhill. Our waiter seemed disorganized from the beginning. We ordered appetizers first, but they arrived at different times, and to make matters worse, the graduate in our party received her main entrée at the same time the rest of us were receiving appetizers. I politely explained that it didn't make sense for one guest to be eating her entrée while everyone else was still eating appetizers and waiting for their meals. His response was confusing and didn't really address the issue, so we let it go. Unfortunately, the graduate's steak was served cold. Rather than preparing a fresh one, the restaurant simply took it back and returned it about two minutes later. It appeared to be the exact same steak based on how we had left it when it was sent back, and while I'm not sure whether restaurants typically reheat food or prepare a new dish altogether, this one was reheated. To make matters worse, the graduate ended up with a stomachache after eating it. As we continued waiting, our entrées never arrived. The waiter was polite but extremely inattentive. We repeatedly had to flag him down because he rarely checked on our table. After a VERY long wait, I asked about the rest of our meals. At that point, he admitted that he had forgotten to place our entree orders altogether. He then had to take all of our orders again and submit them to the kitchen. By the time our food finally arrived, we were no longer hungry and were extremely frustrated, despite remaining patient and courteous throughout the entire experience. The entrées were decent, but nothing exceptional, especially considering the extremely excessive wait and service issues. The waiter did bring a small dessert for the graduate, which was a nice touch, but it felt more like a complimentary gesture because he had forgotten our entrées than a genuine celebration of the occasion, especially given how disastrous the overall experience had been. What should have been a joyful graduation celebration turned into an exhausting and disappointing dining experience. While the waiter was polite, the service was slow, disorganized, and lacking attention to detail. Overall, this was a poor first experience and not one I would be eager to repeat.

We snagged an early dinner reservation at 5:15 pm and surprisingly, people were already dining and they just got busier as time went on. We were greeted right away by our wonderful server (forgot her name though) and she asked if it was our first time there and if we were celebrating something. We answered yes to both and they actually brought us complimentary champagne, a sparkling non-alcoholic cider for me because I ordered a zero proof drink. Kimball House is known for their amazing bar program, so my husband ordered a Kimball House served with a side of olives and lemon twist on ice, like what?! I ordered a ginger & honey lime fizz to enjoy. For starters, we also enjoyed Hawaiian rolls, green salad and some oysters for my husband. The rolls and salad came out super fast, but there was quite a wait for our drinks and oysters that I didn't think they were going to come out. The rolls are a must-get here - they're huge and the strawberry preserve it was served with was delicious! The salad was actually split in half, which was a super nice touch and was plenty of serving between two people. We loved the dressing - it was nice and fresh. For our entree, I ordered a trout and my husband ordered the duck breast. I was a bit underwhelmed when I saw my plate because I was thinking it would be a plate full of grits, but what was served was the perfect amount because it was quite heavy. The trout by itself was too salty for my taste, but was best eaten with a bite of collards and grits. My husband enjoyed his meal, but wished the duck was cooked a bit more. For dessert, we both enjoyed a Paris Brest. Our server actually put it in twice so we each got one when she meant to only punch in one, but she ended up taking one off from our bill. I was quite shocked that our whole dinner was only around $190, not including tip, which I thought was quite reasonable. We definitely recommend this place for date night or simply for delicious food.
