    Salmon Ciabatta
    Michelle H.

Apres Diem is a European inspired bistro serving drinks and food. Unfortunately, I was not seeing the European vibes in the food or restaurant. There is a good amount of seating inside and outside, but the service was slow. My friend and I got the Salmon Ciabatta and Bagel Sammy. My Bagel Sammy was very average. There was way too much egg on a thinly sliced bagel that it was difficult to take one full bite of the bagel. I did enjoy the aioli and wish there was more on it the bagel. I chose the jalapeño corn cheese grits as a side which was savory (other than the corn... I do not like corn but I like grits), but I wish I asked for salt and pepper for additional seasoning. Similarly, my friend agreed that her Salmon Ciabatta needed more sauce and to be less thick. Overall, I think that this place is average. There is better food for cheaper elsewhere.

Wonderful cafe spot for late afternoon snack, early cocktail hour or nightcap. Their menu is diverse with some rotating items - I've had delicious specials and their salads are a beautiful balance of flavors. Their patio is very cute and has some spacious lounge like areas to settle in for good conversation and meals for larger groups. Large umbrellas to keep the sun off and is dog friendly along the edge as of this writing. Servers and staff are friendly and attentive and help each other out to provide great service.

Huevos Espanola. Good. Not really impressed though. Needed salt and pepper. Not shown is the biscuit which wasn't gluten free.

Just not impressed with my brunch. Service was subpar. Not terrible, and appreciate the lack of intrusiveness but it really took the server too long to green us, take our orders, check on us and bring our checks. I got a Prosecco drink with muddled raspberries which was very good, and a cup of coffee with almond milk which was also great coffee. However, good drinks alone cannot make up for food lacking in flavor. The huevos espaniola was good. It certainly was not bad, but I'd had a disappointing. Needed salt and pepper to make it taste better. The potatoes also needed some more seasoning. Couldn't had any bread since they had no gluten free options. Also disappointing but I knew that going in, so not killing them for that. All in all just a "meh" meal.

Listen to me carefully. Order every thing I got! I promise you!!!! You will be so happy. First off our waitress was hilarious! She was honest about dishes, gave recommendations, and kept us laughing the entire time. From my drink to the dessert- I enjoyed everything!!!! Please leave room for the cake. Drink- light, refreshing, strong. Appetizer- savory and acidic. Entree- perfectly balanced and stuff with seafood. Dessert- you will lick the plate clean. Seating outside was the perfect touch. A little people watching with a great meal.

Always consistent and the mussels are always my favorite. Been coming here for many years. A gem in Atlanta. Great patio and delicious desserts.

My family member recommended this place as she has been here before. We arrived on a Wednesday night to find the parking lot to be nearly full since it is shared with the many other establishments in the plaza, plus is connected to the Beltline. Plenty of self-assigned seats to pick from either outside or inside. All the dishes were vibrantly presented with plenty of fresh and rich ingredients. I thoroughly enjoyed my seafood linguine which came in a rich red sauce, different than traditional marina based sauce. My family enjoyed their Salad Nicoise which came with a few cuts of tuna cooked to your liking as well as the pork chop prepared to your temperature preference. We shared their Drummer chocolate cake based on the many cakes they had on display inside. It was deliciously sweet and layered along with the fresh whip cream on the side. Overall, I really enjoyed the food. My biggest concern however is that the portions are certainly on the smaller side for a more hefty price. Our waitress was phenomenal and the establishment is a very comfortable and almost European vibe. Would come again!

I came here for a brunch after a corporate volunteer event. They were super accommodating with our large group and I liked the patio where we were seated. Parking is also easy with the large lot in the back of the Midtown Trader Joe's Plaza. We got some appetizers to share, including the phyllo-wrapped brie which was delicious! I had a mimosa which was good too. For my main, I had the Huevos Espanola. The scramble was good, but a little dry. The brunch potatoes and biscuit were also decent, nothing crazy. I tried some of the other dishes i.e. Salmon Benedict and I liked those a lot more! Overall, cute spot and great vibes, but I would want to come back to try something else.

Stopped here for a quick lunch outside on the patio... Great service.. Good food.. The mussels was good, super big portions.. Small Caesar salad was just ok, i wasn't a fan of the dressing. The customer service was really good..

Visited as part of the Amazing Co scavenger hunt around Atlanta. Our hunt said we should have two sandwiches, and we only got one. We brought it to their attention and even though Amazing Co had communicated one sandwich to Apres Diem, they immediately made sure we got two. Great customer service for doing that! Not only that, but the turkey sandwich was delicious. I usually don't like turkey sandwiches and they left me wanting to come back. Great job all around!

We were here for a birthday party in the back room. Very friendly and efficient service. The handled 30 orders all different times, but delivered shortly after ordering. Never forgot any request. Great atmosphere for group in the back. Food was good. Mediterranean platter was a little bland although looked very nice.

Maya and Robin told us to come back for brunch so we did. The food during during was amazing. We got the ahi tuna tacos and the edamame and shared the burger and the salad. Everything was colorful and full of flavor. There isn't one item that left us disappointed. For brunch we came back and had the tuna tacos again. My husband loved them so much he ordered them two more times. We also had the bao Benedict and the tuna toast, which came recommended by Maya. All amazing. Also try the fruit salad and the nachos! For drinks we had the cold brew martini and the Caribbean Coffee made by Jess who was also very kind. We came here for a birthday dinner celebration and we met with great customer service and a lovely atmosphere. There was a jazz trio performing, and the ambience of the restaurant was great. We were seated in an area that had a lot of traffic so some of us were bumped multiple times by servers, food going over our heads, people swinging their jackets, it just seemed as if the tables were a bit too close together. The food. We ordered the shrimp appetizer, the fried green tomatoes, and the pork belly. All of these were delicious, though we did feel like the tomatoes could've been a little crispy. The Carolina gold sauce on the pork belly was a nice tangy combination with the protein, and the shrimp had a surprisingly good sauce. The issue that we fell into with two urban licks were the mains ... We felt that the rotisserie chicken was a bit dry, and flavor was confusing as it was presenting as tandoori, but had an underlying flavor we just couldn't get into. The market fish on the menu for the day was a red snapper, and it didn't come with any sides, but it seemed like the fish was simply fried in the oil and it didn't have any seasoning or underlying flavor which we were disappointed in. The Hawaiian wahoo fish was a bit overcooked, and the "jerk" short ribs leaned more habanero salsa in the taste. The coconut rice and peas that went along with it was also dry, without coconut taste, and missed the mark for us. We are Caribbean and this was a disappointment to experience. The description on the page oversold it just a bit. We were able to call the manager, and they removed the chicken dish from our bill and took half of the final price of the short rib from our bill as well, and that was appreciated! Looking around the restaurant, it seemed like everyone was enjoying their meal, though we could never know what conversations were being had at those tables, and it just seems like this restaurant was not for us personally! Great service, but due to the food, we don't plan to return

We then moved into the dining area where we had four tables next to each other. The lounge area has festive decor and our server did a great job taking care of my group before we arrived. They had several staff dedicated to us. Water, apps and wine service was quick and efficient. The food was absolutely delicious. I had many compliments on both the food and wine. For starters we had Tuna Tartare Chips and greens (salad). Both were excellent. For mains we had the salmon and roast chicken. Brussels sprouts and whipped potatoes for sides. Finally cheesecake bites for dessert. We served their Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir with the meal. Everything went perfectly. Just the right amount of food and wine. (7 bottles for our 20). Their contract is written in a way that makes you think you might be rushed. But that was not the case in practice. We had plenty of time to meet and greet at the lounge before being seated. I'd been seeing Staplehouse all over Instagram and hearing about their Michelin Guide recognition,…read moreso I was excited to finally give it a try. As somebody who genuinely loves food and especially Italian sandwiches, I ordered the Italian Grinder for pickup. Now, a little context. I'm a newer parent, and that day I was dressed casually sweats, hoodie, hat, just running around handling life. Nothing crazy. I only mention that because when I went in to pick up my order, the interaction left me uncomfortable. Two employees greeted me, and after I confirmed my name for the pickup, one of them held onto the bag tightly and asked me again if I was sure the order was mine, joking about making sure I wasn't stealing it. I laughed it off in the moment, but honestly, I couldn't fully tell if it was meant as a joke or not. And to be fair, I don't want to assume malicious intent or act like I know what was in that person's heart. But I also have to be honest about how it felt. I genuinely don't believe that same joke or comment would've been made to somebody who looked less "threatening," older, or dressed differently than me. Whether intentional or unconscious, moments like that stick with people. I'm a father, a dancer, a creative, and somebody who tries to greet people warmly and respectfully wherever I go. So walking out of there, I just felt a little judged instead of welcomed. The sandwich itself? Solid. Definitely good food. I'd give the grinder a 4 out of 5. But food is also tied to experience, and unfortunately the interaction took away from it for me. I don't think I'll be going back, but I do hope this feedback is received with understanding and not defensiveness, because perception and hospitality matter too.

I only found out when I got the bill. When I questioned it, she basically said she couldn't control the system. My issue isn't even the $3. If you're out of the side that comes with the meal, customers shouldn't have to pay extra for a replacement. And I definitely don't appreciate surprise charges on my bill. I had my child with me, so I wasn't about to go back and forth over $3. I paid it and kept it moving. Another surprise was that they don't offer free water. If you want water, you have to buy a bottle. Between paying for parking, paying for bottled water, and no drink refills, the little charges started adding up. I felt "nickled and dimed." The music couldn't decide what vibe it wanted. One minute we could talk normally, and the next minute we were basically at a concert. There was also a leak in the ceiling, and near the restrooms there was a smell that reminded me of old wet towels. On the positive side, the host was amazing. He was super personable and welcoming. They also turn those tables over FAST. By the time we paid, our dishes were gone and the table was already cleaned and ready for the next group. The food is what saved this review. There were just too many little things that took away from what could've easily been a 5-star experience.
