Mushroom hummus
Nisha B.

Went here for the first time on Valentine's Day this year and had a really great experience. We had a 5 PM reservation and although there was a short wait, it was completely understandable since they were very busy that evening. We were seated on the patio, which was packed but still had a warm and pleasant atmosphere. Our server Jam provided outstanding service from start to finish. He was attentive, mindful of my dietary restrictions, and always made sure we had everything we needed, whether it was water refills or placing another order. He checked in on us several times without being overwhelming and truly made our special occasion feel even more special. The food was delicious. We ordered the mushroom hummus, yogurt duo, and the vegetable kebab, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The yogurt duo was my favorite. It was so good that we ended up ordering a second portion. The vegetable kebabs were not your typical boring vegetables. The grilled pineapple was such a pleasant surprise and added a really nice flavor that paired perfectly with the vegetables, rice, yogurt, and the sabzi they bring out at the beginning. The feta cheese tasted very fresh and light. We also got the flourless chocolate cake to go and were really impressed with how rich and flavorful it was, especially for a gluten free dessert. This is a great place for a date night, special occasion, or honestly anytime you want really good food. We will definitely be back.

This place is so good, excellent wine list !!! Update: they continue to delight all the senses with the food presentation and world class wine sections.

Amazing food and service ! The ambiance was incredible as well. I definitely recommend dining here. The beef kabobs were really flavorful and juicy! We got them cooked medium rare and we enjoyed it. The rice was pretty flavorful and we enjoyed the greens bean too. The eggplant dish was great! It paired very well with the bread. The service was incredible ! Our server was very attentive and came to refill our waters and change our plates. He even brought out a dessert as we were celebrating a birthday.

Awesome birthday celebration! We were a large party of almost 20. We were greeted upon arrival and then the manager came over to greet us and tell us a limitless about the dining experience we were about to have. We had a curated menu with several options for our 3 course meal -appetizers, entrees and desserts. Everything was delicious! Portions were generous and the experience was fantastic!

Taleah was our server. She's awesome. Great personality with excellent service . She explained everything and recommended a side which turned out delicious. The rice was heavenly. Atmosphere is very nice. Very romantic setting. There's valet too! I definitely recommend this restaurant at this location. I will definitely come back when i visit next in the spring/summer 2025.

I went to this amazing place before catching my flight to Istanbul. Here is the summary of my amazing experience at this place in the Sandy springs location. 1) Ambiance 5/5: This is a fine dining restaurant with pleasant decor and ambiance which is soothing and inviting at the same time. The lightly dim light sets the mood and you can have date nights here as well. The only thing is that this place has little to no parking so get ready to have valet parking here. 2) Service 6/5: Although it was very crowded on a weekday and we did not have a prior reservation, we were pleasantly surprised to get seating pretty quick and also the food service was really quick. The people service us were helpful, pleasant and resourceful. 3) Food 5/5: Here is the summary of the food we had: a) Mirza Ghasemi: This is a Persian twist on my favorite Indian eggplant dish called baigan bharta. This was is less spicy and delicious. We all loved it. The quantity was great as well. It was served with Pita bread b) Chicken Kabob with Shirin: We had the option to swap the rice with anything on the menu. We tried the chicken kabob with Shirin which is a flavorful rice with orange zest, pistachios, almonds, and barberry. It was delicious and people who like sweet rice would love it. The chicken was tender and juicy with a great flavor profile. The server divided it into two plates and brought it for us. The quantity is good enough for 2 people. 4) Value for Money 5/5: At first it might look that this place is costly which is true but when you look at the food portion and the experience you are getting with such amazing service, this is totally worth it. I am coming back very soon to experience this place again :) The Good: 1) Quick Service 2) Ambiance 3) Food portions

Chicken Kabob with Shirin rice

Absolutely loved my meal! The service was super quick which was great because we were super hungry . I split my dish and it was the perfect portion. I had the Chicken Kabob but switched the regular rice with the Shirin rice. The Shirin rice is sweet so if you prefer the standard salty rice, I'd recommend a different option though I think they have 6 different rice options to choose from! The chicken had a yummy marinade and it just tasted like juicy, great grilled chicken. Definitely recommend it. The restaurant is a bit loud but overall great experience and food was amazing. Would definitely return.

Gheymeh, Chicken Barg, Hummus

This place is exceptional!!! I cannot even put into words how good Rumi's Kitchen is because there are no words. The parking lot is small, but they offer valet (and it might be the only option?). If you go on a weekend night, I would recommend getting a reservation because this place gets packed. The atmosphere is can feel kind of upscale and the decorations inside reflect the elegance of the restaurant. It was my first time going there and my server was very helpful in telling me about the best options. I ended up ordering the Chicken Barg and it was exquisite. The chicken was so juicy and tenderthe meat was so easy to cut through. I also really liked the rice. I ate a bit of the Baklava that my friends ordered and it was also good! While this is an expensive restaurant, I think that the amount of food on a plate as well as the food quality is worth it. I would highly recommend going here, whether it is for a casual or special event in your life.

Busy night

Update: it has been quite some time since my last visit. And as we all know the restaurant experience can change over time. However, let me just say this ... Rumi's never fall fails to impress! I made reservations for my sister's birthday, and even though we showed up early, they were still able to seat us, which is huge, considering that this restaurant is NEVER lacking for patrons. Excellence in server- client experience, cuisine and ambiance, Rumi's checks all the boxes. They offer valet service for $2, offering very prompt and courteous service. And there's always police presence to assist with exiting the parking lot, as the restaurant is located along an extremely busy stretch of Roswell road. On to the Cuisine: As she'd never had the pleasure of partaking in Persian cuisine, we ordered various plates, sharing samples from my choices. Amongst sad choices were the lamb shank, dolmeh, salmon hummus & barg kabob, subbing Shirin rice for the saffron basmati. The dolmeh, with its bright exit of pomegranate really stood out. That was until the birthday dessert of Persian ice cream arrived. The ice cream is a vanilla base, infused with saffron, rosewater, & pistachio. This dessert is an *undeniable star*, as standard restaurant desserts go. It would be wise to note that several of their entrees are large enough for 2 people. And last but definitely not least, the ambiance is very classy. I would rate the noise level as moderate, due to the high guest-countl, clatter of silverware & plates, and buzzing convo's. No matter, as Rumi's aura is always one of "happy / celebratory / lovely night out". Bon Appétit

Ask the Community - Rumi's Kitchen

Will they issue separate checks to a part of 3?

Best to let the server know ahead of time. I recall them splitting a check on a 3 person table (2 tabs).

Do you need lunchtime reservations?

I highly recommended it, but I walked in before an early afternoon rush and grabbed a table outside. The two of us had a lovely late lunch/early dinner on a Saturday around 3ishpm

Is the lunch menu discontinued?

There is no lunch specific menu.

Do they have any outdoor seating during Covid?

Yes!

Are the kabobs and rice etc ordered to be shared? Meaning you order a variety and it can feed the table family style

Yes! There is a lot of food, but if you're really hungry you can probably eat it yourself and have leftovers!

Fives across the board…read more Casi Cielo is incredible. The space is warm and beautiful without trying too hard, and the crowd was hip and well dressed. Definitely a place to be seen and eat well. There's a parking garage but it was full when we got there, so we did valet, which was surprisingly affordable. Service was wonderful. Our server was attentive, helpful, and super knowledgeable about the menu. As for the food, we got: Aguachile de Pescado, which was insane. Super fresh, bright, citrusy, ceviche-like with perfect texture. I would go back just for that. The Hamachi was clean and bright. That avocado sauce tied everything together and gave it some depth without overpowering the fish. The Pork Belly Tostadas were crispy and rich with that smooth avocado mousse and sweet mango salsa balancing it out perfectly. Finally, the bone marrow with steak... so good. I had seen pictures of it before I came and it did not disappoint. The steak was incredibly tender. They bring blue corn tortillas and suggest making a taco with the marrow, steak, and avocado. It's great that way. But honestly, the marrow and steak stand perfectly on their own. Whole experience was excellent. Easily one of my favorite spots in the city now.

Wanted to love it…read more The vibes are there, the staff is genuinely lovely, and there's real potential here, we just had a bit of an adventure getting through the meal. We had someone in our party with a gluten allergy, and our sweet server was doing his absolute best, bless. We were steered away from the tostadas as a starter due to gluten concerns, so we pivoted to guac...which then arrived with a gluten-free tostada. So the tostadas would have been totally fine! Then a good while after we'd all ordered, she was told her entrée had gluten and needed to be changed. She reordered, and almost immediately, the rest of the table's food came out. So we were left choosing between eating without her or letting everything go cold. And the plantains she'd reordered around, because she'd been told they couldn't be made gluten-free? Turns out they absolutely can be. Just miss after miss there. The spicy margarita was more of a margarita that once passed a jalapeño on the street. I asked for extra jalapeño juice and they were happy to help, but without the seeds and ribs it just couldn't deliver on the heat. I'd skip the margs next visit. This just wasn't quite the relaxed easy dinner we'd hoped for, and the price point feels like it's a step ahead of where the experience currently lands. But I'm rooting for them to get there!

I had an idea of what this place, but wasn't exactly sure what it all entailed. We walked in and were greeted by a large shelf or should I say shelves of a bunch of different board and card games. We walked to the register and told them we wanted to play some board/card games. I believe it was $7 per hour and then $35 for everything else. Everything else means all the video/electronic games. Think PS5, Switch, PC, Xbox. It was sooooo cool seeing everyone play all the different games. There were bigger groups, couples, people by themselves. It's truly a place where anyone can go and have a good time! We got some drinks (they have a really cool cocktail menu). They do have a food menu too, but we just came from dinner, so we only got drinks. Our service wasn't the best though. It took forever for someone to come and check on us, and no one came to fill our water the entire time we were there. Service could definitely be a lot better! Battle & Brew is in a shopping center, so there is plenty of parking. It's also pretty big too, so there is plenty of seating inside. I would definitely come back here in the future and play some of the video games, as I love to play some Nintendo Switch!

I came here on a work trip so there was a LOT going on: food buffets, bar mania, games of all sorts. Had I come here with a group of friends to play games and sip on a drink I think I would have had a different (read: better) experience. That said, I appreciate that B&B exists and what it's trying to do. Despite being here as part of a big group, the staff was perfectly lovely and patient. That's not always the case when it comes to dealing with large groups. The food menu is confusingly large and caters to about every taste.* I got a little grossed out at the thought of eating around so much dust. Board games and consoles are dirty/dusty. They show both easily. Eating around/in that didn't appeal to me. What *did* appeal to me, though, was the thought of drinking a potion. From the glass (straight up D&D) to the color (blue), I was all in. The Mana Potion had a lot of the right elements (gin, blue curacao, elderflower liqueur, lemon, and Sprite) but the extra zhuzh for our party was team too much. The edible glitter made the drink a bit thick and didn't do wonders for my stomach. It's a tough criticism because I was here for an extra sparkly drink/potion. Definitely on brand. For me, Battle & Brew is an odd space that could benefit from some editing. But, it looks like I am in the minority. I can agree with not being the target audience. So, gamers, have at it! *I didn't experience much in the way of GF/DF/VG options but, again, target audience.

The hotel itself, if you walk through, is clean and well tender to. There is a bar on the main floor as well...but why do that when you can get a view instead?! The bar area is pretty nice sized. The bar top can fit about 10, but there is other seating all around the room. There are tables and kind of plush areas to sit, but the big draw is the outside. The view looks right at the busy area of Dunwoody and you can see the skyline of other cities around it too. The ambience is chill, not your typical turn up type of spot. They have music playing and a few large TV's as well. Aiden took care of me soon as I sat down. She was friendly and made sure to give me good conversation while I waited. Irish espresso martini - she did good with it. Good presentation and very balanced. Peri wings (lemon pepper) - they were aight. Nothing super crazy to write home about. They were a little small as well. Pretzel bites - They were pretty good. A decent snack, but nothing that I would rush to try again. Overall, I would come for the views and the vibes. Probably wouldnt say to plan to be here for the food, but a cocktail with that view would be clutch!

We found ourselves at the Agave Bandido to attend a birthday gathering in the secret speakeasy (located upstairs) but initially dined downstairs. We ordered street corn and steak nachos. Both were excellent and served piping hot. The steak nachos were by far my favorite. Lots of toppings and the steak was tender. The order is so large three of us were able to share them with some left over. I was a little late on the introductions, so I missed the names of our server and the hostess, but BOTH were awesome!! The food was excellent (The guacamole was made fresh at the table, to our specifications - You can't beat that, right!!??), with a nice ambiance and their prices are sufferable. They have multiple "FREE" parking decks available for the area's establishments, so in comparison to downtown or Midtown, that's absolutely a plus!! Agave Bandido deserves some additional decimal points, to push them up closer to a "5", but since that's not an option, a "4-star" review it is...I'd absolutely make a return visit or 2!!

I opted to park at the Wal-Mart and wasn't as familiar with the trail so I took the street route. Well-light and populated for safe crossing. The venue is very open and was relatively empty since we arrived shortly after it opened. I love the indoor seating concept with plenty of couches, movable chairs, tables near the open-area space and smaller sections for 2-4 people tucked away along the wall. The DJ was already doing his thing and the bartenders remained busy. As someone who wasn't interested in the drinks, I appreciate that there was a self-serve water cooler in the center of the room. The Jenga and jumbo Uno cards were a hit!!!! It was so nice to have these options available. And as others mentioned, the large screen was playing a classic movie - which we could still see from inside. I didn't stay long and this was a Sunday night but the parking lot was much busier when I left. I imagine the outdoor space gets crowded later in the evening as well. The DJ was just okay - not my cup of tea - but folks seemed to be enjoying themselves. I can definitely see why this place is popular. Although parking is less than desirable, it is not unreasonable. The venue is well-lit and easy to move around. The crowd was diverse, with various ages and backgrounds represented. And depending on the DJ, this would be a great place for meeting with friends, date night or just zoning out to some wonderful music ... especially on a beautiful night.
