But my grandson has found a new love for Gelato here. The creamery is a nicely, quaint decorated space, clean and plenty of outside space on those gorgeous sunny days. We received amazing customer service, we was allowed to try some flavors before buying. Message!!!!! (keep your sample spoons for your actual gelato purchase) heck...we are trying to save the planet people. Anywho! My choses was to die for. The lemon was lemony which I truly loved. That lemon tart had that one eye twirking (LOL). That's when you know you got a good lemon flavor. The strawberry was the giving every bit of spring. My grandson almost finished his Carmel coffee/strawberry cup before we got to the car. I thought that was a disgusting combination but he said he LOVED LOVED it. So, the next time I have to pick him up I guess this will be one of our Decatur spots to come to. Take my advice go try them out. They have several flavors to choose from. read more

Cremalosa is such a sweet neighborhood spot. This time I got a boozy shake with the seasonal lemon blueberry gelato plus bourbon and it was delicious! The outdoor seating is an extra plus, perfect for a nice day. They used to have happy hour Fridays 4-6pm but I was there at 4:30pm today (Friday) and they didn't have the deals. Not sure if happy hour is only seasonal but it'd be great if that was clearer. FYI, they are planning to move down to street to Avondale Estates soon. read more

I've been here a few times already. The owner and employees were super nice and helpful with tasting and explaining the flavors. I really enjoy the chocolate gelato taste like melted chocolate dark chocolate. My friend loves the boozy milkshake "White Russian" with gelato in it. There's tables inside and outside. read more

My family came in a Saturday evening and there was no wait. The staff told me about the difference between sorbetto (vegan) and gelato (milk based). Parking was easy in the free parking deck. They are actually closing this location on June 21 and opening up down the street on Sept 3. My daughter and I enjoyed the seasonal blackberry gelato and peach gelato. My husband liked the pecan praline gelato. They have indoor and outdoor seating and everything was super clean! And best of all, it is close to my work office, so will definitely come back! read more

I would give it 10 stars if I could! Natural Ingredients and wonderful flavors. They always have a dairy free option and ALL the flavor options are amazing. This is authentic Italian gelato! I'd been wanting to check out this gelato shop for a while and finally decided to stop in one afternoon. The shop is located on the second floor of Courtland Decatur East complex. I went around closing time, so the options were limited. I got a small cup with the Oreo flavor and pink lemonade sorbetto. I also the frozen margarita cocktail. It's basically a delicious boozy milkshake. The pink lemonade sorbetto was mouthwatering! Looking forward to returning and trying more flavors. read more

Don't recommend for families! The gelato is yummy but this is by far the least family friendly ice cream/gelato spot. We came with toddlers and of course we don't want them to eat an entire serving so ask for cups and spoons to split. They charged us for the spoons and cups....the gelato is already pretty expensive. So you end up paying double to triple what you would spend somewhere else. Also the inside is quiet and seating isn't appropriate for kids (all stools). read more

It's a bit of an odd location as you have to go up some stairs to a plaza that's removed from the street. Apparently this leads to a MARTA station (I've never been on MARTA despite numerous trips to Atlanta). While the people ahead of me were getting pints, I had plenty of time to peruse. I ended up with an oreo-based cookies and cream flavor, as well as some white chocolate raspberry. Both flavors delivered a strong dairy base and smooth texture, with the oreos and raspberries being more of a finishing note. It was clearly good gelato, but even by Atlanta standards, the price was a bit eyebrow-raising for one small cup of gelato. One of my favorite ice cream places in Atlanta! Conveniently located near the Avondale Marta station up the stairs, there is ample free parking available. The people who work here are great, very kind and helpful, and generous with servings! The gelato itself is also delicious. A fantastic texture, really rich and creamy, and the flavors are all delicious. The store is really cute and on the smaller side, but there's some seating inside, but every time I've visited there's quite a few families eating in the outdoor patio! There's also some cornhole, and people kicking around a ball, so overall a very pleasant place to eat some ice cream on a nice day! read more

Cremalosa is an inviting locally- and woman-owned gelato shop tucked into a mixed-use development (Cortland Decatur East) with free parking and is only a skybridge away from the Avondale MARTA station. The area kind of flies under the radar, but more and more tenants seem to be moving in, like Hodgepodge Coffeehouse. Tables and chairs are set out in the courtyard for outdoor dining. There are many flavors to choose from! Sizes start at $4 for a single, then $7 for a double, and finally $8 for a triple. The portions are plentiful, and the staffers are quite willing to tell you more about each flavor. If fruit is your jam, don't miss out on the sorbetti. My only suggestion would be for the mix-ins. I'm a mix-in fiend so I would've liked more Kit Kat pieces in the Kit Kat bar and smaller and more plentiful pineapple chunks in the piña colada. There was one mega-cube of frozen pineapple in the latter, and I had to wait for it to thaw some before I could eat it. But if you're on the lookout for European-style frozen delicacies, certainly check Cremalosa out! read more

A gelato spot that has seasonal flavors. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Samples aren't being offered due to Covid still. It was hard for the kiddos to choose a flavor when it's not strawberry, chocolate, or vanilla being offered. Either way, they chose chocolate and everyone was happy. Hadn't been in a while but we were in AS so decided to stop in. Limited flavors but the cherry amaretto and lemon blackberry were both delicious, with a creamy, smooth texture and assertive, complex flavor. Service was efficient and friendly. A lovely summer treat. read more

The only reason I don't give it more stars is that the flavors are all very mild and some are hard to tell apart from each other. I got the caramel Milano (delicious) and stracciatella. Man oh man... so my mom treated me and her grands to a day out. We decided to try all new places today and Cremalosa popped up not far from where we were. I am so glad we walked down and checked them out. The list of flavors on the sign outside the door had our eyes wide open. The smell as soon as the door opened had our nose wide open (inhale with eyes closed and smile ear to ear). And as soon as you see the case ---- Heaven. The owner is so nice and very helpful. My family loves doing business with people who take pride in what they do and provide a great service to the local community. We had peach/blueberry shortcake, cappuccino chip, banana pudding, mango/blackberry sorbetto, and vanilla. I told my mom we will have to come back again.---- If we walk to the shop and walk back, we walk off the calories. At least that is what I'm telling myself . Fresh peaches and blueberries ... NICE LITTLE GELATO PLACE IN DECATUR! ive been eying this place for a while now since everyone has been raving about it. i got there and was kind of confused about where it was, but sure enough, i found it. there's plenty of parking so no need to worry. there are a variety of classic gelato flavors to choose from. you can get two flavors in one cone which is good if you want to try multiple flavors. i tried a lot of different flavors like cappuccino, cookies and cream, devils food, banana pudding, passion fruit, and almond joy. all of the flavors were creamy, smooth, and nice. i think my favorite was the banana pudding and cookies and cream. i got those two together and they were a lovely pair. overall, i think it was a cute little gelateria! with the number of people mentioning it, i thought it was going to be out of this world. don't get me wrong, it's still tasty gelato but for me personally, i don't think it's worth all of the hype. i'd still love to go back again and try more flavors, especially their seasonal ones! read more

My husband and I visited yesterday for the first time and it was amazing. The flavor board was set up outside the door so you could look and decide before entering. We had the banana pudding and the devil's food cake gelato. Both were so creamy and silky. We will definitely return to try some of the other flavors although it will be hard for me to not get the banana pudding again. $4 for a single (generous) scoop. $7 for 2 scoops. In these COVID times, I'm happy to report that the shop was set up well with arrows on the floor to guide the flow of traffic. Not sure how well it would work if the shop was crowded as we were there at 3pm on a Saturday and it wasn't crowded. That said, I was promptly served and out the door within a few minutes. There is a large outdoor area just outside the shop with tables spaced more than 6 ft apart. By 3pm in the afternoon, the entire plaza was shaded by the building so perfect spot to enjoy our gelato. read more

We are so thankful that they started serving coffee, it has truly been one of my favorite weekly traditions to go get coffee and have great chit chat with the owner, Meredith, and her daughter. I haven't written a review in a while and this was so good it inspired me to get on the ball. 8 or so flavors, between the three of us we had 4 and every one of them were smoooth, creamy and really beautifully flavored. I have had plenty of gelato, first time being in Italy. I have been disappointed in Atlanta because often the gelato has ice crystals in it, sullying the whole point of gelato which is the smooth mouth feel. Cremalosa nails it. Each flavor was perfect. Ok...I'm not exaggerating at all.... this is the best gelato, I have EVER had in my life. Yes. Even better than in Italy. It's super creamy and the flavor profiles are so pronounced. My girlfriend ordered a scoop of the Lemon Colada & Blackberry Gelato, while I'm not a fan of blackberry, the contrast was a perfect balance. She did get hers in a cup and I gotta say the spoons need to be slightly bigger, the serving spoon are also the tasting spoons. I ordered a waffle cone with Stracciatella, a vanilla gelato with chocolate ribbons throughout, needless to say I destroyed mine. The price to ice cream ratio is nothing to complain about, pretty big scoops for those trying to get the most gelato possible.
