This is probably one of my favorite bubble tea shops in the area. It's super small but very clean, and I haven't had a tea here that I didn't like. The staff is always friendly, and they have a great loyalty program, so I'd definitely recommend entering your phone number when you visit. My go-to order is the mango sago drink along with the taiyaki with custard. Their custard is a little different from what you'll find elsewhere. It's light and fluffy, almost like whipped cream has been folded into it, with just enough saltiness to balance the sweet taiyaki batter, which has a subtle hint of almond flavor. Since it's right by Emory, it can get pretty busy, especially on weekends and later in the evening. Overall, it's a spot I keep coming back to. read more

This is a smaller space compared to their Buford Hwy location. Customer service was very patient and accommodating as I couldn't make up my mind of which of the many menu items to choose from. We had an ice cream watermelon tea which was fascinating, I recommend you add sugar cause they aren't sweet at all except the ice cream. The store was clean and had a modern Japanese vibe to it. Very cute. The service staff was patient and answered all my questions about the drinks too. They were quick to get my drink. Just going by taste, the white peach smoothie tea is a good option! I was craving something sweet, and it's right here. It's cold, sweet, and has a good texture if you get jelly with it. This is one of their seasonal drinks (~$8), kinda pricey but it's big and tastes like a peach slushie. Parking is plentiful. Sometimes they got waves of people where there's a line, but there isn't that much seating. The back corner has 3 tables stacked next to each other. This place is amazing! They offer so many choices it can be a little overwhelming. The staff was fantastic and offered a few suggestions after we mentioned it was our first time in. I settled on a freshly made cone with strawberry cheesecake and the fresh custard. It was delicious! Do yourself a favor and get the custard on whatever you order. Finally tried this super popular spot. It does get crowded but the line moves relatively fast. The two times I have been there, the service has been good and helpful with suggestions or any questions we had. I thought the super fruit four-season tea was good although since most of it was citrus fruit, a little sour and probably out of season. The fresh strawberry smoothie tea was also good. It was all very refreshing but I wish they had more non-mixed fruit tea options because the smoothie teas are heavier and do not go great with toppings. Their boba is good, it has a nice sweetness but not overly sweet in the drinks. It is a smaller space so if it is crowded, you will just have to take it to go although there are some tables to sit at. I decided to try this location after I had a good experience at their Doraville shop. To be honest, it didn't match up at all. This shop is VERY cramped and I'd say the shop was only experiencing medium traffic when I went in. Once a line starts forming, it's hard to get around and there just isn't enough space for this place to comfortably handle high-volume traffic. The staff itself seemed very disorganized and maybe that added to the cramped feeling. The area where they prepare the food and beverages was quite chaotic and not well put together. And the service from the staff was basic... not nearly as friendly or extensive as their other location. Maybe my perspective of this location would have been better if I hadn't had such a great experience in Doraville, which is sad to say. I wish I had taken a few pictures but I was truly ready to get my things and get out of there as soon as possible. It is located in a plaza that also gets cramped quickly, and it's not a great place to put a business with such traffic. But the drinks were good as is typical for this bubble tea shop. I'd only come again if my options were limited but Metro ATL is home to plenty of competition. I can see this location working well for the Emory University crowd nearby though. read more

So many people have recommend any of Tea Leaf's locations to me and I finally got the chance to try (spoiler: it lives up to the hype)! It's open pretty late and there's a big parking lot so that was awesome for a little post-dinner dessert. The shop is small and there was a small line we had to wait in to order and get our food but it moves quickly. We got an egg waffle ice cream with chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream with add-ons of oreo, coffee cookie, custard, and Reese's. The ice cream was MASSIVE and I was glad 3 of us were sharing it. Okay so I've known about Tea Leaf and Creamery for a while now and I actually live 5 minutes from the BuHi location but somehow never tried this place till my girlfriends and I were in the Decatur area and were craving something sweet after dinner. There's a wraparound counter with ice cream on one side and an ordering counter on another. There's plenty of room behind the counter for the staff to move around easily and enough room on the customer side to form a line without being too cramped. There's also a few small tables along the walls and windows but these were all packed so we took our order to go. Mesmerized by all the smells, I knew I had to go all out with my order. While my girlfriends both ordered the Taiyaki with custard, I opted for one of the signature Taiyaki. I ordered the Classic Frenchie - French Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, Custard Taiyaki, Pocky stick, Honey Bubble. Soooo delicious! I came in with just the intent to purchase a tea but to my surprise they have desserts so I went through my normal routine looking over the menu wanting to order something different but I ordered my Thai milk tea with boba sugar level 75%. The only place in ATL that serves fresh Taiyaki + IceCream. Located super close to Emory U, this tiny desert shop serve delicious fresh made Taiyaki+IceCream and Bubble Tea. We opted for their Custom Taiyaki+IceCream. You pick a Tiiyaki filling, 2 scoops of icecream and 3 topping. And they arrange all of that into a cute display in a tiny cup. The taiyaki, freshly made, smells like fresh cookies. Crispy on the outside, fluffy, with a warm custard or nutella filling. It pairs well with the ice cream. We went late on a Friday evening around 9pm and it was very busy! For good reason too. I was very impressed with the many options. We had ice cream with taiyaki and it was delicious. I loved that the ice cream came with 3 toppings that were included in the price. The taiyaki itself had a delicious custard filling and and was crunchy with good texture. We have a teenage neighbor that is struggling with cancer that LOVES boa boa tea. We went by and gave the order and her story to the amazing employee today on 6-13-2025 around 12:30p. The employee was able to speak to the teen on the phone to understand the particular order that was requested. Tea Leaf and Creamery is one of the most unique ice cream spots in Atlanta, and I was thoroughly impressed, if not a little overwhelmed, by my recent visit. Boba has never really been my thing, so this spot opened up a whole new world to me. We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon to sample their taiyaki, or traditional Japanese ice cream sundaes topped with a custard waffle in the shape of a koi fish. After perusing their enormous menu of Asian drinks and delicacies, we decided- the cookies and cream taiyaki for her, and the Frenchie for me. Vanilla bean ice cream, honey boba, and topped with the freshest, carefully crafted mochi fish waffle, it was incredibly decadent and really unlike anything I've had before. I've been to this location and the Buford Hwy one, and the popularity seems to be consistent. The quality seems to be on par as well. Some of their drinks are better than others; I didn't like their watermelon slush as a summer special awhile back because the flavor was weak (watered down). Their milk teas are so so. The other specialty tea categories seem to be their stronger selling point. Overall though, there's a more premium feel with this place (both drinks and snacks). The prices are definitely a little more compared to other bubble tea spots (even their Buford Hwy location). One drink is an average of $5 to $6 after taxes and tips, and that's based on the medium size without adding toppings. read more

As a first time visitor in Atlanta, I was told to check out Tea Leaf and Creamery. Apparently this is the spot to get your boba fix in if you're in the Decatur area. And honestly the line was no joke! Everyone and their mom was in this line and it was like 10 pm. Their Super Fruit Green Tea was pretty good, even after sitting for a while during the drive. I would recommend to fruit tea lovers. I also tried the 60 second Cherry Blossom Tea, which was came with a cheese foam, which was amazing. I thought it was pretty interesting, so I gave it a try and truthfully it did not disappoint! I also had the chance to try the crispy taiyaki fish with custard, which I thought was okay. I noticed a lot of people trying it with ice cream, but I stuck to the custard, which was decent. It's open-faced, so the custard is still hanging out, and you don't get too much of it as opposed to if it was filled. Custard had good flavor, however, a bit buttery and melted into the fish. Solid three stars. I'm not impressed by the tea I ordered. Maybe it was an off day? Or maybe it's the norm. Not sure. I ordered a Jasmine milk tea with boba and mochi pudding. The green tea was very mild, tasted very watered down. The boba was a light brown compared to the dark brown/blackish boba that I'm used to and it had no flavor. The mochi pudding was an interesting flavor and texture and the only thing I enjoyed about my drink. The service was also a miss for me. We ordered, waited 15-20 minutes and then they told us they couldn't make my daughters order and didn't really offer an apology for the inconvenience or the wait and told us to pick an alternative within the same price range. My husband and I got the mango smoothie per their recommendation as well as the avocado smoothie (both with less sugar) and they were sooooo good. The mango smoothie is available all year-long (we tried to get peach but they said it was out of season) which make me think they must use some sort of canned fruit? But it didn't taste artificial. It is in both driving & reasonable walking distance from the main campus. There are peak times and times when the shop isn't as busy. If you don't want to encounter a long line, I would definitely avoid going during the weekend evenings. I usually order the Brown Sugar Marble Bubble Tea, Thai Tea, Matcha Tea, or either of the Four Seasons Fruit Teas. I also like to grab a taiyaki + ice cream combo from time to time. I loved this spot!! Very cute almost like a hole in the wall place with it being in a small plaza. This was the first time I tried creme brûlée matcha drink and it was delish! It was so creamy and perfect. They use the same cream as they put in the taiyaki Which was also delicious and warm. I didn't get a photo of it but it was great a snack size is $2.50 with the cream was an extra 0.75- worth it though!! The menu is extensive and doesn't offer much description about each item which would be my only critique for people who are not aware of what each item is but the staff was kind and can explain it all.
