Pretty disappointed in the service on a Friday afternoon - we ordered a blueberry matcha croissant and for the second, we asked for a rec but instead the staff just listed off what they had which we were aware of without answering our question. I love this place as an Asian cafe with unique flavors that I haven't had for a while. Momo Cafe is located on top of Mononoki, its restaurant counterpart owned by the same person. There is paid street parking right out front, but the garage deck next to it provides 2 hours validated parking. Upstairs, there's even a water glass station, The seating area could be more decorated. It looked a little lackluster and plain. Before the restaurant opened, the only seating that was open was the upstairs cafe area which had 4 circle wooden tables and three ish wooden chairs that faced the window. It's a pretty small area tbh. There's about one outlet between two circle tables. I was a bit disappointed with the lack of space. When the restaurant opened, there was so much more seating, but a lot of people come here to study. There's some outdoor seating under a tent if the building space gets too packed. A quaint little cafe filled with college students studying. It's a quiet spot, with bright lights. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Someone asked me had I been here before and I hadn't, so I took a look at their IG page. I immediately put them on my list to try. Well recently they announced a Sweet Potato dessert and I was super intrigued. So on a Sunday afternoon I headed that way. This a two story building that features a ramen place and a bakery. It was pretty busy for a Sunday, but that's to be expected because it's near Ga Tech's campus. I got in the bakery line and ordered the strawberry croissant and attempted to order the Sweet Potato croissant, but was met with the "We are all sold out of the Sweet Potato!" Bummer. The barista tried to make some suggestions, but I came specifically for that. No one cares about Sweet Potato, like they do pumpkin spice, so I was so excited when they shared this. A random waiter came and offered me a water to have with my croissant. The croissant was flaky, buttery and the cream was not too sweet. May need to get it heated up next time. The only things to note for studying is that their WiFi gets overwhelmed if there's too many people connected, and they don't have too many outlets. I haven't been to this restaurant in two years, and desperately craved it. Thankfully I live closer now, and it is within reasonable walking distance. I grabbed an order before heading to a movie night in Suwanee, and the staff was super understanding & respectful of my time crunch. By the time I got to my event, the matcha croissant was slightly sticky but it still tasted great. The other croissant was a special flavor that I thought was delicious. From the sit-down menu, I got the tamago sando as I wasn't in the mood for ramen and I didn't want to get meat. Little did I know there was a bit of wasabi sauce in the sando, so I was surprised by some areas of the sando. Outside of those areas, I thought the taste was decent.
