    Chicken Ramen
    James H.

Mononoki is my go-to spot in Midtown when I'm craving great ramen, sandos, coffee, or pastries. This time I ordered the chicken ramen and split a shrimp sando, and it absolutely hit the spot. It's consistently satisfying. They also validate parking, which makes visiting even more convenient in Midtown. The service is prompt and genuinely friendly. It's a perfect place to do some homework, read a book, or meet friends for a casual meal. Love this place.

My favorite item is their chicken katsu sando. Hits the spot every time. Today I went off the script and ordered their shrimp sando. It was not appealing at all tho. First of all the shrimp was tiny. I expected shrimp tempura size shrimp. And it was grey, not pink, so I'm not sure if it was done or not. When I mentioned it to the waitress, she took it back for the kitchen to analyze, and they said it was supposed to be grey:/ I ended up paying for another entree (they wouldn't refund me for the shrimp sando or just giving me a pastry to make up for it). I paid for my usual chicken katsu sando and was happy again. I really hope they will bring back the fried oyster sando. That was their best product of all.

Went here on a Sunday . I ordered 2 matcha lattes and matcha brownie. Iced strawberry matcha & apple pie cloud matcha . Both were made good . Loved it . Will be back .

    Less than acceptable strawberry matcha

This was MY experience and when I give anything less than a 4 I definitely make sure to double back to see if it's worth/changing or updating. Tbh, I don't see how it has the high ratings it has. I came based on a recent influencer recommendation I saw online praising their strawberry matcha. If you see my photo, you'll understand when I say there's no way this is anything resembling their posted examples. I was then informed I have to stir it. I'm not new to the strawberry matcha scene. I've been trying a new location everyday to see who has the best and this wouldn't even make top 50. Next was my greeted experience. I entered and was told take a menu, have a seat and someone would be with me. I don't mind ordering via online but that's not the instructions I received nor did anyone check on me to ask if I needed assistance. Here's where things differs. EVERY person that entered after me was immediately presented an ice cold water before even sitting. Mine didn't even have ice and I had to ask for it. I hate to think this was racially motivated but that's the only difference I could imagine... Lastly, my food definitely had a hair on top. Typically I'd send everything back and ask for a refund. In hindsight, I should've. It was very clear that I wasn't the target audience but I wanted to eat and go home after a very exhausting day.

We were in the area last Saturday afternoon after IKEA shopping. Was after to find street parking at the entrance to the block and it's free street parking during weekends! We got there around 3ish, so the place and parking weren't bad at all. There're people (mostly students) in the cafe. Food wise, all are decent. I enjoyed my avocado portobello sando. The bread is spot on. The side cucumber seaweed salad was great. Refreshing and natural. Not drenched in dressing. Takoyaki was crunchy on the outside but soft and gooey inside. Dinosaur egg was a meh.

Love the set up of this place, it's definitely a two in one masterpiece!!! I must go back for the ramen. The young lady at the counter, was high energy and gave great recommendations. Apple pie matcha????? was sooooooo different to me because it had actual little crumbles in the matcha alongside a dried slice of apple and topped with like the crust of an apple pie.. It was innovative yet tasty, I was able to get it with oat milk! Now for the STAR of the show, BAYBEEEE that croissant was FLAKYYYY creme brûlée had the cracked top with a nice amount of filling omg I was OBSESSED!!!! for me the meringue in the middle wasn't as airy as i'd like. So they lost a point for that, but what a pastry!!! I will be back.

A fun spot that serves Ramen and other tasty Asian treats. They actually have a sister cafe basically that shares a space called Mimi's Cafe which looked popular. At Momonoki, you sit down with your QR code and order at your table. Service was pretty quick. I got their main ramen and it was solid - appreciate that they didn't skimp on the pork! Overall a pretty solid spot!

Food: Ramen- The noodles were bouncy and chewy. The aromatic veggies and spice cut through well the rich broth. Very warming for a cold day in ATL. Sando- Not much places have Japanese sando, so this restaurant stands out! It was good. Service: It's a sit-down restaurant, and the waiter comes to you. But you order through a QR code. I think they could've checked up on us more frequently. Ambiance: there's indoor and outdoor dining, giving plenty of space! It would be a great place to study (calm, quiet), but there are limited outlets.

I've put so many people on to Momonoki since moving back to Atlanta! The ambiance is perfect, very laid back restaurant area and upstairs cafe area, perfect place to study or work. All the staff have always been so friendly and welcoming. And I don't think there's a bad item on their menu, I'm partial to the sandos! Also one of the best matcha spots in Atlanta for sure!

Went here during MLK day around 1pm and it was fairly busy. Seems like quite a few people just hangout here and don't order much. A lot of college students it felt like doing their work on laptops. Anyway, you do have to place your order through the phone / QR code. There isn't much of a personable experience however once you place your order, items do seem to come out pretty quickly. My friend and I both had the pork belly rice bowl with a few cocktails. The pork belly was yummy but not authentic. I expected chunky pork belly with a little more fat and the egg to be a little warmer, it seemed like they had the hard boiled egg premade. Overall the dish was good with decent flavor. The cocktails on the other hand were delicious and a very good price. I ordered a Daniel-San which has gin and I believe it was only $7. I also ordered a mimosa with prosecco and they are generous with their pours. I would go back here for another casual drink or bite but not necessarily a date or special outing. We sat outside in their enclosed area and surprisingly it was kept warm as they do use gas lamps.

Cheese Pork Katsu Sando with Cucumber Wakame Seaweed Salad and side of curry -- sando is good, salad was bland, curry is good
    Jen S.

Got the pork and cheese katsu sando, it's solid but perhaps a bit too rich. The wakame cucumber salad was not good, it's sort of supposed to be very vinegary but it was quite bland. I also got the strawberry matcha latte and it was good! I'm not a huge drink person but I thought the drink was creamy and pretty grassy in a good way. The staff are amazing, helpful, attentive but chill. The restaurant is cute, you can either go to the cafe side to just get a drink and go upstairs or outdoors or you can go to the dining side to get drinks and food. PARKING: park at the parking structure RIGHT next to momonoki (they will validate for two hours). There are two other ones very close but don't go to those, you'll have to pay.

This a place that I will be returning to whenever I visit Atlanta. The atmosphere of this place is so cute it has two floors with big windows that let in a lot of sunlight that are gorgeous. The matcha is really good as well they have a separate cafe from the kitchen so you can just come in and grab a drink at the cafe counter then sit and relax or I saw some students working. Really cute! The food was also really good. I got the spicy ramen, pork katsu sando which came with a cucumber salad as an option and chicken karage. The food was quick and the service was nice as well. You just order on your phone and the food comes to your table. Loved it. Can't wait to return when it's chillier to sit out side with one of their amazing pastries.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon for lunch! The place is very cute and a popular spot to meet with friends or work. You are given a QR code to order online when you sit down. You do pay before you get your food, makes the process very quick. I got my matcha latte first. I wouldn't say it's amazing but it's a decent cup of matcha. The flavor isn't very strong so if you're looking for a strong hit of matcha, this probably isn't it. The ramen was really good! The broth was nice and savory, very savory and it had a good feel to it. Definitely a heavy meal but I looked forward to it. The noodles were good and the pork belly was amazingly soft and tender, it was probably my favorite part about it. Overall a very good place and I looked forward to coming here again to try some other dishes. They have seasonal drinks and food that keeps me coming. I would recommend for anybody looking to get a quick easy bite around the area.

I hadn't been back in almost two years and unfortunately, this visit just didn't hit the same for me. I ordered the same spicy Tonkotsu ramen I had before, but it tasted completely different this time. I remember the noodles being very fresh and the broth having a much richer flavor. This visit honestly reminded me a little of Jinya's ramen, which personally isn't my favorite style. The broth almost tasted creamy, like milk had been added. Maybe not, but it just didn't taste as fresh to me with a deep flavor as before. Someone also recommended the Okiboru buns, and I wasn't too impressed with those either. I originally wanted the braised ribs, but TikTok hype convinced me otherwise, so that part is on me. Looking back, I think the ribs or even the panko shrimp probably would've been the better choice. The shrimp is my normal app so I take fault for the switch up. Overall, I'd still say give it a try for yourself because everyone's taste is different. There are a lot of ramen spots around Atlanta now, though, and this visit just didn't leave me as impressed as my previous ones did. Just being honest.

We walked into a modern, energetic space that feels approachable whether you are stopping in for a casual lunch or settling in for dinner. The atmosphere is polished without being overly formal, with a layout that works well for both quick meals and longer visits. The energy in the room stays lively, but the service keeps things moving smoothly enough that you never feel rushed. The signature ramen and Dark Knight ramen are among the restaurant's most talked-about dishes, both built around rich broths and deeply savory flavors. We tried the signature bowl and found the broth well balanced, with a depth that comes from proper technique and quality ingredients. The Dark Knight brought a more intense profile, with layers of flavor that built with each spoonful. The lobster ramen and wagyu ramen add a more indulgent twist, while the Dirty Vegan ramen has developed a following of its own thanks to its creamy broth and unique spinach noodles. The variety across the menu means you can explore different styles across multiple visits without feeling like you are repeating the same order. Part of what makes E Ramen stand out is its ability to cater to different preferences without making anyone feel like an afterthought. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free diners will find several options designed specifically for them rather than simple menu modifications. The service tends to match the restaurant's welcoming atmosphere, with staff who are knowledgeable about the menu and willing to guide you through the different options without being pushy. The pacing of the meal was comfortable, and the team checked in at the right moments to make sure everything was to our liking. Rather than relying on a single signature dish, E Ramen succeeds because of its range. Whether you are craving a classic bowl, a richer specialty ramen, or one of the restaurant's well executed vegan options, it offers enough variety to keep both first time visitors and regulars coming back to explore more of the menu. The quality holds up across the board, making it a destination that delivers on its reputation without feeling like it is trying too hard to impress.

First, when you walk into the restaurant, it is very cute, has a bar for solo diners and booths incase you are in a group. The location is very cozy and the employees were great! Our server was very patient and had no problem explaining, re-explaining, and confirming with the chef if he wasn't 100% on an answer. I got a tofu rice bowl, which I typically don't get and it was delicious! I asked if the salad could be put on the side rather than in the bowl and was given a full side salad that I wound up mixing into my rice lol. I also added broccoli to the bowl, which I probably wouldn't do again because it was pretty bland, but overall the bowl was good. Now the vegan dumplings... were FANTASTIC! We shared the dumplings and everyone agreed that they were easily the best thing that we had eaten the whole day. The green color threw me off at first, but the crispiness and texture of the dumpling was amazing. I would love to go back and try the ramen to see how it measures up, but again, great experience. Also, when you are paying the check, they bring you a small bucket full of dum dum lollipops, which I thought was a great touch. Me and my adult guests all left like happy children, which is exactly how eating out should make you feel.
