Came here last week because it's been it my saved restaurants and I was in the area. Let me just straight up say, THIS WAS THE BEST RAMEN IVE EVER HAD IN LIFE. I ordered the spicy Tonkotsu with extra garlic. The broth tasted like it was made with love for hoursss. Super flavorful with the perfect ratio of broth to house made noodles. The pork was so juicy and tender. My mouth was dancing as I ate. Manneeeeee. You won't regret it. The waiters were very nice and attentive. Gave recommendations, talked about some of the dishes I had questions to. He packed up all my leftovers at my table without me asking. It aaa almost like a fine dining experience. All the apps were great. You can point to anything on the menu with your eyes closed and it'll be the correct choice lol. Will be back soon.

Went here on a busy and cold night and although parking was quite difficult to find eventually found parking nearby. There is a parking lot in the back but very limited. Once I sat down there was a QR code for the menu and I took a look at it. Lots of great appetizers and tons of great ramen options. We got fried gyoza, nori fries and tonkotsu ramen. It came out very quick and looked absolutely delicious. The ambiance was very busy but it was full of life and perfect for the occasion! Overall, it was a great little spot and the ramen was absolutely delicious.

This was quite the coziest meal! The tonkotsu was very flavorful, the broth was rich and not too oily so that was such a pleasure to enjoy. The pork was tender and a lovely bite, with the noodles having a great bite to them. We were sat and fed in less than an hour and I super appreciate a divine no frills place to eat.

This place knows how to make ramen and I could definitely tell that they made it fresh in house. The okiboru buns were a nice way to start off a light lunch. The broth tasted amazing in both the spicy and regular tonkatsu ramen. Ramen being one of my favorite foods, this place put up some great competition.

Still my favorite ramen spot in Atlanta. The food is great and the service is quick and friendly. I was a die hard J**ya fan for years, but Okiboru's food is way better and you'll pay less for a better bowl of ramen. Don't forget to try the fries they're a 10/10, trust me.

It's been about a year since I've been here and I'm so glad to return! Okiboru is as yummy as I remember it, and my boyfriend, a ramen lover, really enjoyed his meal here. This time we got the Pork Belly Baos and I got the Tonkotsu ramen. The baos were very very tasty, however, I felt that the slice of pork belly to be a bit thin - I wish it was thicker! As for the ramen, my opinions are the same as when I last came. Okiboru is very simple and doesn't add toppings (ex. no ear wood mushrooms, bamboo shoots, etc.) I'm not a fan of how they serve the egg cold, even for ramen dishes, however, the egg is perfectly cooked. The tonkotsu broth is flavorful but not overly dense or oily as I've experienced in other places. Their slices of chasu are one of my favorites - the chasu is so flavorful as well! Normally I cringe a little bit at eating ramen because I expect the meal to be a bit dense, but I love how at Okiboru I can enjoy my ramen without feeling gross afterwards. One cool improvement is they now have special to-go containers that are specially designed for noodle soups - the container has a shallow bowl at the top where you can put noodles or anything you don't want to get soggy, and then you can pour the broth at the bottom of the container. Very neat!

My husband and I came in for lunch on a weekday and thankfully had no issue getting a table. A server was at our table and got us started with drinks within a few minutes. It's been a while since I've been here and not quite how I remember it. We got the pork bao buns and the spicy tonkatsu ramen with garlic. The bao buns were amazing per usual. Though the ramen wasn't as good as I remember. There was only 2 small slices of pork and the portion overall seemed a lot smaller. I usually leave stuffed but was still kinda hungry after. All in all it was good but something is just different about the ramen.

While a small seating area, they did a good job of seating and serving people quickly even on a busy weekend evening. This was the one entree vegetarian option and it was delicious! Be warned this is spicy but so worth it. It's a no frills and all flavor kind of place so great for a classic lunch or dinner kind of vibe.

Umami bowl with karaage

Delicious tsukemen and ramen in Sandy Springs! Casual restaurant with limited seating - had to wait about 30 minutes for a table for Saturday lunch, but we were seated after 5 minutes since we were ok with the bar. Ordered the umami bowl as an app, spicy tonkatsu ramen, and wafu tsukemen. The umami bowl was delicious and a good deal for $8 - probably would be good as a kids meal! We chose karaage for that and the chicken was tasty. Liked that there was some veg too. Onto the ramen - ordered thick noodles for both - FYI $2 charge for thick noodles on ramen but tsukemen automatically comes with thick noodles. The wafu tsukemen was super tasty and flavorful - can't imagine what the full richness version one tastes like as this was medium richness. My husband enjoyed his tonkatsu ramen and thought the flavor was great and noodles perfectly cooked. He got the spice on the side which was a good call bc it would have been too spicy if all of it was put in the broth lol. We were pretty full after as there were a lot of noodles per portion. 4.5 starts so we'll round up to 5. My only gripe was I wished my tsukemen broth was hotter since the noodles were cold. A few bites in and my broth was already lukewarm. In the past I've had piping hot broth which paired with the cold noodles perfectly. We also wished for some more protein but usually there isn't much anyway at most ramen joints.

I enjoy the ramen here a lot, but I wish they would offer more side dishes like shrimp/vegetable tempura and steamed (not fried gyoza).

You can find Okiboru at 6125 Roswell Rd Ste 800 Sandy Springs, GA 30328. This is a mixed-use development that includes housing units, retail and eateries. Okiboru is on the side facing Roswell Rd - there's no curbside parking in front of the restaurant but there is guest parking for retail in the parking deck - it's free - there's also free parking along some of the streets within the development - really it's easiest to park nearby and walk to the restaurants or have an Uber drop you off. Okiboru has a somewhat modernist interior that's very easy on the eyes, with exposed wood surfaces and brown-stained concrete floors. There are traditional Izakaya and ramenya elements throughout - sort of love the decor. You're seated at wood-topped tables and served in stone earthenware bowls and plates. I had the opportunity to eat here several times trying many things - the highlight is the Tsukemen Ramen - the dipping broths are full of umami and flavor which really appeal to the Americanized palate. But don't pass on the traditional ramen bowls - those are fantastic too, with great chunks of chasu pork and fresh ingredients. I'm also fond of the pork-belly bun. You simply can't go wrong here. Service as been exceptional every time I've eaten here with very attentive servers, quick to fill you water glass. In all a great time and a great restaurant.

Brussels sprouts

I frequent this place in the winter. Always great for when the weather is cold. Just don't sit by the door . The apps here are great especially the Brussels sprouts. We always try another one when we go in addition to it. Haven't been disappointed since. The paitan tsukemen is delicious if you love rich broth. It's a bit fishy so beware but I think it's the best on the menu. There's parking in the deck behind and a valet if you're struggling.

Carmen P.

I went at 6pm yesterday and was seated right away, but there was a wait as we were leaving. There is free parking on the first level of the apartment garage behind the restaurant. My favorite is the tsukekmen (dipping ramen) and broth comes out warm and does cool fast. The restaurant is clean and cozy but not a lot of seating so be prepared to wait. Been here a few times (usually for lunch) and it's always a good time!

We decided to try Slurpin' Ramen Bar first. I had read that they originally started in California so I had a good feeling about it and I'm so glad we went! Their tonkotsu broth was probably the best I've had in the US. It was rich and full of flavor without feeling overly heavy. It was so good that we didn't want to leave any behind so we actually took the leftover broth with us for the 5-hour drive home (thankfully we had a cooler bag!). I immediately had to tell my son who's currently living in LA for college so he can visit one there too. This place is definitely going on our must-visit restaurant list from now on.

First, when you walk into the restaurant, it is very cute, has a bar for solo diners and booths incase you are in a group. The location is very cozy and the employees were great! Our server was very patient and had no problem explaining, re-explaining, and confirming with the chef if he wasn't 100% on an answer. I got a tofu rice bowl, which I typically don't get and it was delicious! I asked if the salad could be put on the side rather than in the bowl and was given a full side salad that I wound up mixing into my rice lol. I also added broccoli to the bowl, which I probably wouldn't do again because it was pretty bland, but overall the bowl was good. Now the vegan dumplings... were FANTASTIC! We shared the dumplings and everyone agreed that they were easily the best thing that we had eaten the whole day. The green color threw me off at first, but the crispiness and texture of the dumpling was amazing. I would love to go back and try the ramen to see how it measures up, but again, great experience. Also, when you are paying the check, they bring you a small bucket full of dum dum lollipops, which I thought was a great touch. Me and my adult guests all left like happy children, which is exactly how eating out should make you feel.

I ordered the Cha-shu Japanese Bun and the Cha-shu Ramen, and wow--both were outstanding. You can truly taste that everything is homemade, just like my adopted grandma made this at home with love, patience, and tradition. The cha-shu pork was perfectly tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The bun was soft, fresh, and paired beautifully with the rich, savory pork. The ramen itself was next level. The broth was deep, rich, and comforting, clearly simmered with care and attention. The noodles had the perfect texture, and adding all the toppings just took it over the top--each ingredient felt thoughtfully prepared and balanced.
