Spicy Tonkotsu
Nishu M.

Went here with a group of friends and had a really good experience! I got the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen, and it was delicious. It wasn't overly spicy--just the right amount of heat. The broth was rich and creamy, and I really liked how thin the noodles were. The pork was also really tender and easy to chew without having an overly meaty taste. Service was quick and easy with no issues. The restaurant itself has a nice, cozy atmosphere. They don't have a ton of large tables, but they were still able to fit all six of us comfortably. Another plus is the free parking garage, which made parking really easy. Overall, I'd definitely come back!

Okiboru was a pleasant meal! Free parking in the garage in the back of the strip mall. It seemed they had minimal staff when we went on a Wednesday evening. We decided to sit at the bar and ordered two ramen dishes. They both were very good but the pork was definitely better than the fried chicken! Both had very good flavor and were affordable!

Replated. Spicy Tonkotsu just wasn't the same as it was before.

This was my third visit to Okiboru Tsukemen, and I've generally enjoyed it in the past. The first two visits at the Sandy Springs location were really good and the restaurant is decorated very nicely. I hadn't been back in almost two years and unfortunately, this visit just didn't hit the same for me. I ordered the same spicy Tonkotsu ramen I had before, but it tasted completely different this time. I remember the noodles being very fresh and the broth having a much richer flavor. This visit honestly reminded me a little of Jinya's ramen, which personally isn't my favorite style. The broth almost tasted creamy, like milk had been added. Maybe not, but it just didn't taste as fresh to me with a deep flavor as before. Someone also recommended the Okiboru buns, and I wasn't too impressed with those either. I originally wanted the braised ribs, but TikTok hype convinced me otherwise, so that part is on me. Looking back, I think the ribs or even the panko shrimp probably would've been the better choice. The shrimp is my normal app so I take fault for the switch up. Overall, I'd still say give it a try for yourself because everyone's taste is different. There are a lot of ramen spots around Atlanta now, though, and this visit just didn't leave me as impressed as my previous ones did. Just being honest.

Decided we wanted to switch up and try a new ramen spot randomly and I am extremely thrilled with this choice. The service was impeccable and I never had to wait for a refill or for the next part of my meal. We tried quite a bit, but have even more to try. Let's just say that this was a delicious set of broths, chewy noodles, and rich flavor. Simple and to the point with clear flavor. We also tried a few of the cocktails and I must say they each were delicious in a different way. Bonus points because they show the pictures of the cocktail and main Liqour used which was a nice touch. Two of the drinks were their Spring specials but the others were available all year per my understanding. Okiboru, thanks for having me. Can't wait to return!

My friends and I came here on a Saturday night and got sat pretty fast for a table for 3. The inside had a dark interior but it was well lit. The restaurant it self is pretty narrow but spacious enough for a bigger group of around 6 - 8. The tsukemen (dipping ramen) is a must order! The noodles for the dipping ramen is thicker than the soup ramen with a bouncy chew. The dipping sauce is saltier than the ramen broth but this is expected from a dipping broth since it is more concentrated. I got the ramen with pork and the pork was fatty and charred, super delicious! The Spicy Paitan tsukemen has a kick but not too spicy. I would definitely recommend this for anyone that is a spicy lover.

Let me start by saying this place is a hidden gem. I saw quite the reviews on TikTok and decided to stop by and I was pleasantly surprised when we first walked in. It was on the busy side and we were just coming in as the kitchen was closing down in 40 minutes to prepare for dinner meal. Our server was very nice and informative, we scanned our menus. We asked questions about what items were and took his recommendations and we all were happy with his selections. I had the Paitan spicy ramen and it was AMAZING!!! My family also ordered the Ebi appetizer which was the perfect start! They all loved their meals too! I also ordered the blueberry mocktail Mojito, which was super refreshing overall, I would definitely come back here when I am in the area. The dishes are flavorful and unique. The service is spectacular. The restaurant is very clean. The bathrooms were also very clean. 10/10 go check this place out!

You will not notice this place from the street. The garage parking is behind the building. You must use the GPS to know where you are going. This is a very nice place. It gives date vibes. The service is wonderful. I ordered the chicken rice bowl. I think it is called the Unami bowl. It tastes amazing and is the perfect size for a taste. I got the spicy tonkotsu. Your nose will run so ask for extra napkins. It is not too spicy. The flavor is amazing and the pork will melt in your mouth. I want to visit again.

Hot off my recent trip to NYC, and I was craving ramen badly! Okiboru has been on my "Yelp Must Go" list for quite some time. After reading some of the stellar reviews and realizing it's less than 2 miles from my place, I figured what better night than tonight to go! The restaurant is located in the bottom of an apartment/condo building in Buckhead. There are other businesses and restaurants next door that I want to check out as well. The first check box this place ticks is FREE PARKING!!!! In Atlanta, that already earns you a star. The parking is in the building's garage. No ticket, no gate. Just dedicated retail parking spaces. Once we walked into the restaurant, we were greeted by a friendly smile. Let me tell you, for a Monday night, this place was packed! So busy that the only place to sit was at the bar. We were totally fine with that. My husband and I both ordered cocktails, shared the crispy brussel sprouts as an appetizer, and also both got the spicy tonkatsu ramen. Every single thing was ah-Mazing! That ramen stole the show! So much so, that we ordered extra noodles for our broth. I'm so excited to find another delicious ramen spot close to my place. I'll be back very soon!

I've loved dining at Okiboru since they opened in Atlanta however this particular visit was disappointing. They have lowered the amount of broth to minimal and even when I ordered spicy Yassai ramen I was served regular Yassai ramen- I can tell the difference I've had it more than 15 times. Upon confirming my order they said you can add more spice and charged me for it. The To Go broth portion has also been reduced to half of what it used to be (adding photo for reference- $7). This is my favorite Ramen place and I've celebrated many occasions here with family however I will not be returning considering it is no longer good value for money and it has lost its iconic taste. The server was great, and the ambiance was good as always.

Free parking!! (this matters in Atl) Anyway, went in on a Thursday night and was satisfied with the ramen, which usually doesnt happen in Atlanta outside of Ginya! We started with the crispy gyoza and umami bowl with tofu. I loveddddd the bowl. so delicious. Then the Spicy Tonkatsu ramem came out. Now, it wasnt one of the best ramens ever, but it tasted good. Broth was hot, noodles were not soggy, the chasu was super fatty, but whatever, right? Overall a good, comforting, slurping experience. (Loveeee their big wooden spoons!) The kiwi cocktail was like a vacation drink. Loved it. Then I tried the japanese vodka seltzer. Much sweeter than usual hard seltzer, but not mad at it. Our waiter was a very friendly, super nice, tall, indonesian guy. He was excellent. Was it good? yes. Would I return? maybe, if Ginya was too far or closed down.

One of our favorite food spots on a roadtrip. We were sat instantly and helped by multiple kind staff during our meal. The restaurant was a little dark, but we were there while it was light outside, so maybe the ambiance is nicer when it's dark outside too. There was a cool window at the front where you could see into the kitchen. We got the spare ribs and crispy Brussels to start. OMG the ribs are so tender...you could take all the meat off the bone in one bite. So flavorful, we had to resist ordering a second plate...my only complaint is that they don't give you more! The brussel sprouts were delicious and oh so crispy. Excellent. The ramen was very hearty, flavorful, and a huge bowl. I got the spicy tonkotsu and my boyfriend got the regular. The broth was delicious and I subbed out for the thick noodles (highly recommend). We both thoroughly enjoyed the soup, tender pork, and egg. Mine was an excellent level of spicy, my sinuses were quickly opened LOL. We got the mochi and it was also excellent (highly recommend the strawberry) with a cute presentation of chocolate sauce and berries.

Soooooo good. I've have ramen in Japan before and this is about as authentic as you can get. Broth is amazing and the noodles well done. I almost ordered a second bowl. Added a little chilly paste for the kick and it was perfect. Everyone inside was so nice, very good service.

10s all across the board! They treat you so kindly here and the service is sooo quick. Overall, the vibes are perfection. The food is outstanding. We started with the Umami Rice Bowl and the chicken Okiboru buns. The buns were literal perfection and we enjoyed the rice bowl too. The star of the show was the Truffle Shoyu Ramen with chicken. It was delightful and I know I'll be back just for it! We also tried the Spicy Tonkotsu and we found that to be really good too. I'm looking forward to coming back soon!

I ate at the bar and the service was excellent from both bartenders. I managed to take advantage of Happy Hour pricing on my Tropicalia ($5) on draft even though it's a Saturday. Happy Hour runs from 2-5pm on Saturdays and 4-6pm Monday through Fridays. This is one of the few places I've run into with a Saturday Happy Hour that has oysters, wings, cocktails and wines on special. I came to check out their Cease and Desist Burger ($23) which came with a choice of fries or tater tots. The burger was just perfect, seasoned well, brioche bun, American cheese, lettuce, dijonnaise, pickles and lettuce. The bar area is a comfortable area for dining solo (as I did) or with friends. A couple of TVs, not obnoxious in a Buffalo Wild Wings sort of way (no offense if you're into that), and plenty of drinks to choose from to make everyone happy. Even for a busy Saturday afternoon, plenty of free parking to be found which is always a plus! Will definitely be back to try some of the other things on the menu but for a drink and a burger in a comfortable place that isn't a chain restaurant, this is such a great option for the neighborhood!

Around 10:05 the hostess said we'd be seated in 5 minutes. 10:20 came around and we asked to speak with the manager who walked out many times, but did not speak with us. At 10:30 we were still not seated... they tried seating us at a tiny high top table that is not made for 3 people. Lastly the validated parking lot attached: parking is validated for 2 hours. We asked for longer validation because of their reservation error, the code did not work. Long story short I was mailed a $100 ticket that will not be paid. I really wanted to love this place!
