M M-80 Roll
Erika A.

I was so excited to try this place being that I just moved next door. My overall issue was the customer service. I felt like I didn't belong. Every interaction I had with a server was very short. I felt like I was a nuisance. At first I thought maybe I was being a little sensitive but after observing customers who clearly frequent there get huge smiles and warm greetings I realized a pattern. I watched my food sit for a while until it was brought out after tables around me got theirs. Maybe it was an off day but definitely not a good impression. The interior is nothing special still quaint little place for sushi. I didn't order much but what I ordered was good. The only thing is the sauce that comes with the gyoza was salty. The M-80 roll I believe was fantastic. I would go back just for that!

A close-up view of salmon sushi rolls arranged on a white plate, topped with a glossy sauce. The rolls are garnished with thin slices of cucumber and radish, adding visual contrast. The background shows a wooden table with additional dishes and utensils, indicating a dining setting at a Japanese restaurant.

My overall visit to Yuzu Sushi was great. The location is easy to find with a parking lot available. The interior was clean and overall a nice ambiance. I ordered a salmon sushi dish, which tasted amazing. You can definitely notice the great quality of the food. I can't wait to try other items on the menu! The service was okay.

Visit Yuzu on Friday and it was AMAZING!! so far the best sushi i've had in atlanta! everything tasted very fresh! not too many people and overall just a solid sushi spot!

Love this roll! I recommend if you enjoy fresh, raw fish. I paired it with Miso Soup and Seaweed.

A17 - Mixed Sashimi (6 Pcs) - A rectangular ceramic plate contains slices of sashimi including tuna, salmon, and yellowtail, arranged on shredded daikon radish. Accompanying the sashimi are small dishes of soy sauce, wasabi, and pickled ginger. A glass of water is visible in the background on a wooden table, indicating a dining setting at a Japanese restaurant.

The best Sushi spot in Chamblee! I come here so often that they have my order memorized lol. The owners, management, and waiting staff are extremely friendly and happy to see you every time you visit and it makes me really happy when I talk with them. The food is delicious. I love the mixed sashimi and soft shell crab. The BSC is great and my favorite roll is the Albacore delight (it has a really good tang to it along with fried onions on top). Please come check them out, you will love it!

I have never reviewed anything in my life before but this place was too good not to share!!! Great service, food, and ambiance! The owner was super sweet and my friend and I had a great conversation with her! My friend used to be a regular but life and school gets in the way and the owner immediately recognized her which I thought was so sweet. I got the Spicy Tuna with Rice Biscuit and the Green Special Tuna roll. It's so so good and I'm still thinking about it!! Even everything down to the miso soup and the salad and dressing. 10/10 super clean too!!

Yuzu sits at the corner of the intersection. - A multi-story building with a brick facade on the lower floors and white siding on the upper floors. The ground floor has a restaurant named Yuzu with a black sign and illuminated logo, and outdoor seating with string lights. The building has several windows, and a sign indicating 'Building 3' is visible on the left side. Landscaping includes small bushes and a concrete sign with the restaurant's name and address.

Yuzu Sushi was okay. It didn't give me the wowing impression I was seeking. Plus with the high prices, I think this place is overrated. There was a good amount of folks coming and going within a couple of hours of them opening. But I think this place is more of a quick sushi sit down spot with high prices. The interior begs to differ, but that's my experience. Hey, not all reviews/experiences are winners. The positive thing I will say is that some of their menu items were quite unique. The B.S.C. (baked scallop over a California roll) was super delicious! The sashimi salad on the other hand was so so. The B.S.C. was unique in that the baby scallops were warm and creamy. The sauce really made a difference as it sat upon a California roll. I guess the creaminess of the scallops really amped up the basic California. This ended up being a hit with me. Though the sashimi salad was interesting. It somehow was just meh to me. There was about 6 (?) sashimi pieces. The garlic ponzu sauce was light, but it was also over a light bed of salad. I guess I somehow expected something else, something more grandeur. This pick just didn't provide the oohs and ahhs. I kind of had high hopes for the 911 roll. It sort of looked and tasted bland imo. Though the 911 sauce was different, the albacore, tuna, crab, salmon, and avocado were so so. If you think about it, these miniature pieces of fish were plain. I guess it falls in line with the "fresh" category but not so much "Yuzu Sushi Special Rolls." How special was it really?! I think the other roll we tried was the double tuna roll. This roll had a lot of frills, and there were lots of textures and flavors to be had. The red onion slices really stuck out in my mind as I'm trying to recall which roll we had. This roll was overall pretty good. I guess the spicy tuna and seared tuna made it more hearty. I get that sushi has their different types: fresh sashimi, plain jane rolls, and unique creations. But for 3 "special" rolls and a sashimi salad, the grand total with tip was around $70. The hubs and I left feeling kind of hungry and not really impressed (flavor/taste). Though it was still early dinner on a Friday, everyone seemed super rushed (like they will run you over if you don't move over fast enough). Maybe that has an affect on the fish's flavoring? Lol.

Spicy tuna on crispy rice - A single piece of sushi with a topping of orange fish roe and a drizzle of sauce is placed on a white, square-shaped plate. The plate is on a wooden table, with a small empty dish and a napkin with chopsticks above it. The presentation suggests a Japanese restaurant setting.

Highly underrated !! One of my favorite sushi places in Atlanta. The ambiance is cute and cozy. The servers are very attentive and kind. Their variety of rolls is immaculate. You can never go wrong with the spicy tuna on crispy rice !!

Yuzu sake - A transparent glass bottle labeled 'Yuzu' and containing clear liquid is positioned on a wooden table. Next to it is a small, empty glass with a thick base. The background shows a window with a view of the outside, including a fire extinguisher and some blurred outdoor lights, indicating an indoor dining setting.

The decor and atmosphere really make you feel like you've been transported to a lively izakaya in Japan--it's the perfect spot for sharing a wide variety of small plates. The Tapas & Kitchen: * Ankimo (Monkfish Liver): This was a standout. It was prepared perfectly--rich, velvety, and a great start to the meal. * Grilled Highlights: The kitchen really excels with the grill. The chicken skin is crispy and decadent, and the chicken liver is another major hit--perfectly cooked and full of flavor. * Seafood Favorites: My wife absolutely loved the steamed clams, and the grilled oysters were a hit as well. The octopus salad was also very fresh and well-balanced. The Sushi Bar: * Fish Selection: The quality and variety here are impressive. We ordered a mix of rolls and nigiri, including scallop, sweet shrimp, and tuna maki. * Quality: Every piece of fish was notably fresh. The only minor critique was the sushi rice--it was a bit dry for my personal taste, but the quality of the seafood more than made up for it. * Snail (Tsubugai): It's great to see more unique options like snail on the menu; it's a nice touch for those who appreciate traditional Japanese variety. The Experience: The menu is huge and well-rounded, offering something for everyone. Despite being our first time, the service was efficient and the pricing felt very fair for the quality and portion sizes provided.

Like a lot of other omakase places the restaurant was a little hard to find since it's pretty much just a door with a small sign and a couple of windows. The service there was phenomenal and I loved the variety for dishes! We had the 17 course meal for $242/person after taxes and tip, which was a little expensive but seemed fair for Atlanta. We started with some apps and my favorite was the oysters. Then most of the courses were various nigiri and ofc my favorites were the fatty tuna and eel. I also really liked the uni even though I usually don't! The presentation for everything was gorgeous and some of the sushi was pretty unique with the flavor pairings. Dinner ended with a small sorbet as dessert and my mom and I were both stuffed. I'll definitely be back for a special occasion :)

The 15-course menu was a masterpiece from start to finish. Each piece felt like art -- stunning presentation followed by incredible flavor. Every bite melted in my mouth, and the balance between the rice, the fish, and their special secret sauce was perfection. One of the highlights was the Kimi Oboro, prepared using a 200-year-old vinegar technique -- simply remarkable. My sister loved every dish, even falling in love with the pickled ginger! The service was outstanding as well -- two servers took care of us throughout the evening, always greeting us with genuine smiles and impeccable manners. This was probably the best omakase experience I've ever had -- and I've had over a hundred. I'm so glad my sister's first omakase turned into an unforgettable memory. Huge thanks to everyone who served us last night. Highly recommend this place to both first-timers and seasoned sushi lovers alike!

What a phenomenal experience every time…read more I stopped into 26 Thai after an event and wow, I'm so glad that I did. First, this place is beautiful! The restaurant decor is dark and moody, but easily lights up with the natural lighting in certain corners of the restaurant on an afternoon in Brookhaven. Before that visit, I had ordered from 26 Thai a number of times but realized that I was ordering from a different location. This Brookhaven location offers sushi and ever since my first visit, I've been back a number of times. First let me say, the staff is amazing here. A woman who I believe is the owner came up to greet us and continued to check on us and thank us for visiting. So sweet! Our cups never went empty and they were incredibly patient. I have had a number of dishes here since my first visit but have now found my favorites: **Thai dumplings - packed with chicken, shrimp and vegetables and paired with a tangy sauce - these are incredible! **Crab cheese rolls - There's no imitation crab meat here, only flavor. They're packed with a cream cheese and crab combo, I'd love more crab in it but they're better than any I've tasted **Tom Yum soup - I love tom yum soup, the spicier the better! I like the veggie version and it's so much flavor in the broth, my only complaint is that it's not a bigger portion **Basil fried rice - Always a winner **Tsunami & Fireball - My top two spicy rolls! There are so many delicious options available, you can't go wrong with anything you choose.

The outdoor patio was attractive and most tables had umbrellas/shades but we chose indoors. Inside was just a little dark, relieved by small lamps at each table. The menu is physically large (because of the bulky folder) but there are a reasonable number of choices over two pages. For this meal we opted for sushi, listed on a separate two-page menu. The edamame appetizer came out quickly. It's a simple dish, large enough to share, and could have been shared by 3-4 easily. The pods were warm and dusted with salt. The salt could have been more evenly distributed instead of piled in the middle. My sushi was the Tsunami roll. I wasn't sure about the spiciness or the jalapenos but I took a chance. The roll was served with a pretty display of carrot ribbon, sliced radish, ginger, and wasabi. The sushi itself was fine, with strips of raw salmon on the rice and yellowtail inside. The jalapeno slices were placed on top of each piece of salmon with a dot of 26 Spicy Sauce so it looked a little like googly eyes staring up from the plate. I could definitely taste the spice but it was not too intense for my normally bland midwestern palate. There is a Thai menu I'd like to try on my next visit, and the weekday lunch special includes a discount on a side/appetizer. There is also a cocktail and libation menu that I only glanced at during this visit. Service was quick and attentive. The staff we interacted with were knowledgeable and friendly. Our water glasses were refilled once. Prices were mostly around $20 per dish with a few more expensive items.

Service? Excellent. Ambiance? Relaxed and enjoyable. Food? Oh...MAN. Wow…read more.. I came here about 8 years ago with the same family members +1 family friend and we enjoyed dinner then, but it truly didn't compare to this visit. Previously, I had Kang Nam slated as an overpriced, but decent sushi place that serves meals on a more robust scale if you're dining with a party. However, the sushi back then was somewhat underwhelming. Last night, we had a phenomenal set. Hamachi, Otoro, Unagi, Ebi, and more! Every piece was delicately balanced and beautifully arranged. Honestly, I wasn't really expecting too much going in- and I'd only chosen Kang Nam as a place where I could get some decent sushi while my family got something else entirely. My mom had Don Katsu (served with a small dish of Japanese style curry sauce). My uncle got the Tempura Udon, of which they served the tempura shrimp on the side in a bed of tempura flakes. This is kind of genius, because you can make the decision on when you want to dip in your tempura instead of them bringing it and you have to down the tempura fast in order to still have it be crunchy... NOT HERE! It stays crunchy since they serve it separately. Love that. We had refillable banchan: kimchi, king oyster mushrooms, and glass noodles- all of which were delicious. We all received bowls of deliciously simple miso soup and we ordered a set of fried dumplings. Everything was great! That is...until the sushi came out. Wow. Presentation: 10/10. Flavor? 10/10. Portion-size: TEN OUT OF TEN, Y'ALL. The sushi rice was fantastic and they didn't use too much like a lot of places do with their nigiri. The toppings were functionally decorative. The sweet shrimp was especially pretty with two different colors of roe on top. The yellowtail didn't need the toppings it had- green onion and fish/squid flakes(?)- in my opinion, but they added a dimension of texture to the initial bite and a hint of flavor to the finish. The fish was perfect in every way: not too thick, no too thin, overlapping the rice by double to allow for perfect soy sauce dips without soaking the rice, and I just CAN NOT EXPLAIN how good each piece was... The sushi rolls were so delicious and every bite had wonderful textures and flavors, but my absolute favorite roll was the one with the smoked tuna on top- WOW! Absolutely stunned. Never - EVER - have I actually tasted the smoke flavor so clearly and completely. I am a HUGE fan of that one and I can't even remember the name of it...it's in the picture on the plate behind the sweet shrimp. The eel nigiri was also a highlight for me- as it's one of my favorite pieces of sushi, I always order several pieces. I was happily surprised to see they were nearly twice the size I get at other restaurants. Hands-down, the best otoro (fatty tuna) I've had in Atlanta. The sushi chef here also believes in giving special service by preparing some extra pieces for the customers as well. I only ordered one set of otoro, but next time....oh my...my bill is gonna hurt next time. Each 2-piece set of otoro is set at $17, so...yeah... It's going to be SO WORTH IT though. I will 10000% be back- soon. I might just get some Otoro, Hamachi, and one of those smoked tuna rolls...man. SO. RIDICULOUSLY. GOOD. Get in there if you haven't been in a while. Trust me!
