We dined here to celebrate our friends birthday. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's such a happy and warm place to dine.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff is super friendly and welcoming. They even allowed us to bring our own birthday cake which was fantastic. The birthday girl is very picky about cake so thank you for that. That is great including Padthai and panag curry. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The patio is really nice and I'll definitely be back.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We love Colonial Kitchen. Everything is delicious and beautifully presented. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A lovely restaurant with a calm vibe, this pretty space is relaxing and so enjoyable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We haven't ventured onto the patio yet but plan to do so soon, now the weather is cooler. My personal favorite are the drunken noodles. Portions are large, easily enough to share. Full of your choice of protein ( I like the ground chicken) and fresh, crunchy veggies, this dish always pleases. My husband loves their rice dishes, like basil beef and ginger chicken, and we both love their dumplings. Service is professional and understated. Everything is always prepared with the freshest ingredients. I haven't been able to tear myself away from noodles yet, but when I do, I'm going to try one of their highly recommended curry dishes. I love spicy foods and Colonial is happy to oblige. I can handle a lot of heat but their Thai spicy is one level too high for me, so I opt for extra spicy. Spicy-shy diners will be happy as well.

I came for an early dinner on a Friday. The place is easy to find next to Target and has lots of free parking beside and behind the building. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is a lovely outdoor patio and an indoor bar area in addition to the main dining room of ten or twelve tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was seated immediately at an indoor table. On this occasion I did not try any cocktails, but went directly to the entree. I had the Rama Chicken which turned out to be delicious. A breaded, crispy chicken breast sliced on top of cooked vegetables (zucchini, carrot, cabbage, broccoli) with a thick peanut sauce. A bowl of steamed white rice came on the side. I ate every scrap of food on the dish and was too full for dessert, although I would have loved to try their mango sticky rice or one of the homemade cakes. Next time! Service was quick and attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was decorated beautifully and in great condition.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I'll start by saying after visiting a few times, there's not a single thing I wouldn't order again or recommend. Instead of going item by item, I'm going to just list them out because think you should go try them all. Panang Gyoza Fried Calamari Thai Egg Rolls Steamed Dumplings Colonial Beef Pad Thai, w. shrimp and chicken Crabmeat Fried Rice Drunken Noodle Colonial Fried Rice, w. Beef and Shrimp Mocktails My only complaint is they never believe me when I say I want my heat level to be Thai Hot/Very Hot haha.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]What a beautiful and elegant restaurant with a friendly and welcoming staff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Me and my girlfriend went here to grab some food rather late on Monday, (Indigenous People Day) and it was kind of slow likely due to the holiday.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They were willing to accommodate us, but we just didn't want to sit outside. So we decided to take our food to go. Noy, the lady who was working the front and welcoming guest was so nice and grateful for our business. We ordered and looked over the lunch menu and how affordable everything was. I was really excited to try the Crab Rangoon. As we waited for our food (Shrimp Pad Thai & Chicken Cashew) out comes Noy with our drinks and an order of fresh Crab Rangoon with a house sauce. Literally some of the best I've ever had. Flaky, light, with a textured filling. I could probably eat a dozen of those if I wasn't careful. We sat and chatted with her for a while until the food was prepared. I can't wait to come back and try more of the items on the menu. It was such a pleasant surprise and speaks so highly of the staff's commitment to service and attention to detail. Also, the other dishes were absolutely delicious. We also ordered a Mango Sticky Rice...I've been thinking about it for 72 straight hours!

Visiting Colonial because of a highly suggested recommendation from my boss. I was impressed with the professionalism of the staff. They were attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The spring rolls and vegetable fried rice were tasty! The drinks were strong but sooooo good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The dining area was small but chic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They do have a bar away from the dining area that you can order food and drinks.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I recommend making a reservation even for lunch.

I ordered the drunkin noodles with tofu via uber eats. The meal was delicious and the portion was huge. Definitely a new go-to thai spot.

Stopped in for a quick appetizer at the bar while waiting for traffic to die down. The staff were friendly and I really enjoyed the panang gyoza. They had free Wi-Fi and didn't mind me pulling my laptop out to answer a few emails. I would definitely come back here for a full meal when I have more time.

Walked in here on Friday because my boyfriend was craving Thai. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat out in the patio, which was beautiful![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We started with the roti which was good but wasn't a ton of food and then got the green curry and the pad see ew for our entrees, both portions were HUGE and very tasty. Service was good.

We came here on a Friday night to celebrate my friend's birthday. Good thing they are located I. The shopping center and have plenty of parking. As you walk in you are greeted by the beautiful patio. I wish it wasn't so hot that we could sit on the patio. Inside is cute too and we got seated right away. We started with both got lychee martini and they were on a strong side. I couldn't even finish mine, now mind I'm a super light drinker. We got calamari for our starter and they were nice and crispy. I got drunken noodles and it was delicious. And my friend got a noodle dish nd she said that was good as well. Service was a bit slow, but they made up for it with a complimentary mango sticky rice for my friend's birthday. I'll definitely be back

Can't say the interior is that much better either, though it does remind me of Vietnam and family gatherings. Service is slow, and some things take longer to come out than others. If you care about starting your meal at the same time, I would recommend ordering things to share since it can take 15 minutes between the first dish and last to come out. The food here is good! I don't typically get Vietnamese because I eat enough of it at home, but there's a good variety here where it's worth coming for. What my family, and my cousin in particular, really like from here is the bò lúc lắc or shaking beef. The spring rolls that you make yourself is also quite nice.

When it comes to…read moreVietnamese food in metro Atlanta, I think this restaurant is among the better options and my Asian/Vietnamese foodie friends generally agree. Where this place lacks - at least in our experience today - is in service and ambiance (even by casual Vietnamese restaurant standards). Hu Tieu My Tho opened in October 2019 and is located in the popular Hong Kong Supermarket shopping center on Jimmy Carter Blvd, near I-85 exit 99. Locals know this as the hub for the Vietnamese community in Atlanta. On weekends and holidays, it can get crowded. The restaurant name comes from the Vietnamese dish "hu tieu," which is a clear rice noodle dish, and "My Tho," which is the specific southern city in Vietnam where this style of cuisine was perfected. This is not a pho restaurant. Instead, this place specializes in both hu tieu and "mi" (egg noodles) as well as other dishes like Vietnamese steak and eggs. It's fairly unique, which is a big part of the draw and appeal. Here's what three of us had: A1. Goi Cuon (2 for $5.50) x2 - spring rolls with shrimp and pork A3. Cha Gio (2 for $5.25) - fried egg rolls D15. Ca Phe Sua Da ($5.99) - Vietnamese coffee H3. Hu Tieu My Tho Dac Biet ($15.50) - House Special Rice Noodle Soup - char siu, crab, fish ball, pork liver, pork heart, ground pork, quail eggs, bone-on pork shank H6. Hu Tieu Nam Vang ($14.50) - Phnom Penh-style Rice Noodle Soup - char siu, shrimp, pork liver, pork heart, ground pork, quail egg, squid H10. Hu Tieu Bo Kho ($14.99) - Beef Stew Rice Noodle Soup - round and flank beef, carrots M5. Mi Hoanh Thanh ($14.50) - Wonton with Egg Noodle Soup - char siu, wontons Everything was fresh and tasty. When it comes to the hu tieu, the restaurant gives you the option of soft or firm noodle texture. In addition, you can get dishes "dry" (no soup) or with soup. If it's your first time, you should try the traditional way with soup. I really like the variety of hu tieu and mi offered here; for example, my friend likes the Phnom Penh-style noodle soup, which is Cambodian. Overall, I found the food to be solid all around. After we were initially seated and served, the staff never checked on us again. I think this was partly because they were busy. I noticed at least two other tables having the same problem we did -- having to flag down a server. As for ambiance, seating was tight. I actually refrained from ordering an extra dish because of the lack of table space. And, while not uncommon for Vietnamese restaurants, multiple tables weren't immediately cleaned. Also, the men's restroom was dirty. I'd like to return and try one of the steak and egg dishes; for example S1. Chao Xiu Mai ($15.99), S2. Banh Mi Chao Dac Biet ($18.99), or S3. Chao Bo Steak / Bo Xao ($16.75).

It had lots of flavor and it wasn't salty. I asked for some sauces and they gave it to me with my order. It was so good and filling. I will definitely be back to try more soups and other dishes. This place is located in the plaza of the Hong Kong supermarket. Parking was pretty simple but it was full. Inside was quiet and there were very nice Christmas decorations. It's a very casual place.
