My boys and I love ramen.. so we tried this location to see how it compared to our normal fave. The place is big but has a very barn type feel to it. Just not a fancy place if that is what you're looking for. We don't care as long as the food is good. There lots lots of selections, the service was fine, the place felt like it needed to be cleaned... or just get new stuff... but the food was good. Maybe not as good as our fave spot but we liked it. They offer a wide variety of options, from appetizers to ramen, main dishes, desserts, and boba. My personal favorite is the beef curry ramen, it is rich, flavorful, and packed with depth. This place is really good! I was nervous after reading some lower reviews but it's really solid. I got the udon noodle soup medium spice--it was actually a little spicy which was great. I also got the ebi shrimp appetizer (4 pieces) and a seaweed salad. The apps were great and a pretty nice portion too. I think this place is definitely a big step up compared to some chain ramen spots like Jinya or Okiboru. Staff are nice and the ambiance is casual (a good lunch spot). Cute little ramen spot tucked away in a shopping center not far from north point mall. This places closed later than usual spots so we decided to take the drive. The parking lot has plenty of spots! Once we entered staff was friendly and quick to get us seated. They checked in with us regularly until we were ready to order. I ordered a udon noodle soup from the menu and got a Thai tea boba to partner off with it. The wait was not long at all! The tea came out first and was perfect! The udon noodle came out afterwards and was extremely hot! I was warned which was nice but it did take some time to cool down so I couldn't fully enjoy it as my husband has already finished his bowl before I could finish mine. Overall, the service alone was what gave me such good vibes. Next time, I know I'll just get a ramen instead of udon so I don't have to wait too long to eat and enjoy. read more

i went here for lunch, it is genuinely one of the best ramen restaurants out there. The takoyaki is so soft and filled with octopus! I ordered the spicy miso ramen, and you can actually taste the spicy flavor unlike some other restaurants. Tried out this relatively new Ramen joint. The place is very cutely decorated with a Japanese ramen shop theme in mind. Our server was very sweet & nice throughout our meal. She quickly handled any problems we had, especially when accommodating to my vegetarian mother. For our appetizer we ordered Tako Yaki, Japanese Chasu Bun, Fried Tofu, & pop corn chicken. Everything was fine, but i noticed they used soft tofu for the fried tofu. It was kind of impressive that they were able to fry the tofu whole, because soft tofu normally breaks apart easily. Especially since they had to batter it & fry it. It did fall apart when we tried to eat it though. For our Main Entree we got Veggie Stir Fry udon, Chicken Fried Udon, and Beef Curry Ramen. The Beef curry ramen and Chicken fried Udon was standard kind of Mid taste. The Veggie stif fry actually was the best. I think the chef really compensated for the lack of meat & added so much flavor! They should really add this option to the menu, since we actually requested this. Desserts we got Taiyaki & Vanilla Mochi Ice Cream. This was my first time seeing Taiyaki fried. I think it was like a frozen taiyaki & they just fried it. It was interesting to see, since Taiyaki is a grilled fished shape pancake. LOCATION: This restaurant is located on north point parkway in the same shopping plaza as Five Guys, Loft, Carters, etc. We were very excited to try this location out. There was plenty of parking spots. SERVICE: so incredibly poor. We walked in and the lady at the front did not greet us. No smile. No hello/response when we greeted her first. We followed her to our seats as she plopped down the menu and walked away. Another waiter (who we did not realize was the waiter due to her casual appearance) came up to us and nonchalantly took our order. FOOD: the lunch menu was a good deal. We got sides: takoyaki + gyoza which were okay. The ramen, however, was shockingly disappointed. The flavors were very lacking. The tonkatsu ramen tasted like watered down. I had to add some seasoning in there to make it taste somewhat better. It was not terrible but for a place that advertises RAMEN, it was very mediocre. AMBIANCE: the decorations were very cute and seemed like a very nice place to come with group of friends and family. My new favorite Ramen! This place has such an amazing vibe too it and the menu has so many great options. We got the Shrimp Tempura to start. It is delicious, perfectly fried and the sauce that comes with it adds without overpowering. The Japanese Buns were delicious - we got the spicy beef but don't worry, it's not super spicy. My husband got the Pork Katsu Ramen. It was a delightful katsu. Be careful letting it get into the ramen or it will get soggy. I got the Pork Kimchi Fried Udon - it was my favorite. A little spicy but more silky smooth with thick flavorful noodles. We finished with some Green Tea Ice Cream Mochi. It's like getting a hug from ice cream - refreshing yet comforting. My husband got the Taiyaki as well. He said it was delicious, but I was already so full I couldn't eat anymore. Service was fantastic - food came out quick and hot. All of this was only $50. The prices are amazing and the food is delicious. If the Ramen Spot was near my house, I would be ordering from them all the time! I had seen the sign in the window for a couple of months now that a new rum spot was opening up and I'm excited to finally try it! The host at the front was really nice and saw that I was alone and put me in a secluded booth, which I really appreciated. I'm a big fan of the wall art that is right next to the window closest to the booths. I feel like this place is a good spot to stop in for a quick lunch, if you wanna watch the game and be low-key, they also have a variety of sake on the menu along with cocktails, and a semi full bar. I ordered the lunch special with vegetable ramen and takoyaki. My food came within 15 minutes! The ramen was nice, not too salty, and the noodles were cooked very well. The takoyaki was a bit mushy for me but other people seemed to like it ! Bathrooms were clean and separated by a curtain to the back. Dropped by for the soft opening for Ramen Spot which is sandwiched right between Five Guys and The Learning Express... so I guess "spot" is a good word for it. I haven't run into any place with beef curry ramen so I had to try it. It came out at a temperature close to lava -- just the way it should be. It was really good with the bits of corn, bean sprout, and mushroom. The serving was enormous and really delicious. The chashu ramen broth was excellent. Both had a bit of heat even though it was ordered mild... so beware. The menu is pretty extensive for their types of ramen so you can probably find what you want. I should mention their sake selection is really good, too, even for nigori (cloudy) sake. If the weather has you craving ramen and you're in the North Point area, this is pretty legit. read more

Ever since I moved to Alpharetta from LA, I tried various foods and most of them were average at best compared to LA. This is the first place I was overwhelmingly impressed with especially the amount of vegetarian options. I had the Vegan creamy soup/super spicy and it was heavenly. The Vegetarian dumplings were great. I didn't eat, but my family loved the creamy shrimp. The pineapple fried rice was on the sweeter side for our taste My family is only used to Indian food and rarely enjoy non-indian food, but they thoroughly enjoyed this place. I can't believe this place was not busier than it was on a Friday evening. The staff were friendly, inviting and patient. I highly recommend trying it before everyone discovers it and gets super busy(I genuinely hope it does). Continuing my quest to find the best ramen in the city, I saw that the place I had been eyeing everytime I went to Ulta or Five Guys had finally opened. I. WAS. ECSTATIC. I walk in and it's immediately 5 stars on service alone. The guy at the host stand was incredibly friendly, and front of house really makes all the difference. I, of course, got the Chashu Ramen and in a rare departure, order it mild. I usually get spicy but I had read reviews that mentioned the mild being slightly spicy. It wasn't. At all. So if you want spicy def order it. Immediate impression: I was over the moon to see that they included three pieces of Chasu. I've never gotten more than two without paying extra so that was great. Disappointed that there is only half an egg. This doesn't make sense to me. Cutting into a perfectly runny egg is like 1/3 of the enjoyment of ramen. Feels unnecessary and weirdly frugal. Broth was just ok. Overall the ramen itself is slightly mid but the Chasu is delicious and they are just opening. The price is also really competitive. All that combined with excellent front of house and great location means I'll be back without question. read more

We came here on a Sunday afternoon and sat at the counter. We started with the pork gyoza and they were really great. The sauce that came with it was flavored well and complimented the gyoza. My main entree was the spicy miso ramen with medium spice. It was excellent. I had to break up the pork and I wish that would've been sliced for me already but other than that it was perfect. This is a good quality place that's not too expensive and has a pleasant, playful ambiance. I wouldn't say it particularly stands out from other good ramen places, but the miso ramen had a flavorful broth, the edamame (which is, admittedly, hard to screw up) was fresh and had an appropriate level of salt. Everything was well presented - and I enjoyed eating directly from what seemed like a serving spoon. I had a taste of the other ramen I've got a photo of, and it was good, and markedly different from my dish in flavor. The seaweed salad, not pictured, was what you'd expect - I nice little appetizer. The apps came out quickly. The main dishes took slightly longer than expected, but not an unreasonable wait. I don't have any complaints, I just wouldn't consider this a truly outstanding option, which is what I try to reserve my 5 stars for. Very solid - if you're in the neighborhood and need a good meal, I'd definitely recommend it, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again. My husband and I order from here when we are craving Ramen and a night at home. We have never been to the restaurant but that does not mean we will never go. I always get the Chicken Katsu Ramen Mild and my husband likes the Pork Katsu Medium. You get a lot of meat and the broth is full of flavor and a bit creamy. The eggs are cooked perfectly and are flavored nicely. I normally add and extra egg. For me, there is so much food it can last me 3 meals and my husband 2. We also normally get the Shrimp Tempura App, which is perfectly crispy and yummy! I reccomend this place hands down! read more
