Shrimp Tempura App(4), Seaweed Salad, and Udon Noodle --all really good and filling
Jen S.

This place is really good! I was nervous after reading some lower reviews but it's really solid. I got the udon noodle soup medium spice--it was actually a little spicy which was great. I also got the ebi shrimp appetizer (4 pieces) and a seaweed salad. The apps were great and a pretty nice portion too. I think this place is definitely a big step up compared to some chain ramen spots like Jinya or Okiboru. Staff are nice and the ambiance is casual (a good lunch spot). It's in a large parking lot plaza so you'll have no trouble there. Overall, I would def recommend this place.

Thai Tea

Cute little ramen spot tucked away in a shopping center not far from north point mall. This places closed later than usual spots so we decided to take the drive. The parking lot has plenty of spots! Once we entered staff was friendly and quick to get us seated. They checked in with us regularly until we were ready to order. I ordered a udon noodle soup from the menu and got a Thai tea boba to partner off with it. The wait was not long at all! The tea came out first and was perfect! The udon noodle came out afterwards and was extremely hot! I was warned which was nice but it did take some time to cool down so I couldn't fully enjoy it as my husband has already finished his bowl before I could finish mine. Overall, the service alone was what gave me such good vibes. Next time, I know I'll just get a ramen instead of udon so I don't have to wait too long to eat and enjoy.

A cozy place for lunch, good food and good service. The portion was big for a lunch combo. Had to take it home. Good value

The curry beef ramen was AMAZING! The beef wasn't fatty, and the bowl was HUGE! You can see the before and after photos. Rebecca is such a sweet server. Super cute and cozy spot. She was very attentive. But yes, I will be back.

First meal when finally getting into town and it did not disappoint. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We ordered seafood ramen and chicken katsu ramen and it was delicious. Ambiance is very cool. Nice wall decor and good music. Definitely a winner!

Food: 1 Service:1 Ambiance:1 My hubby and I love Ramen and decided to give the Ramen spot a try. Unfortunately, the appetizers were a lot better than the actual Ramen. I love pork belly and chose the Ramen that included the pork belly! The pork belly was not tender, and the broth was not flavorful! however the fried shrimp and pork buns were very tasty. The ramen here is not bad, I've just had better.

Great spot for late night Ramen and it did not disappoint! Broth was creamy, flavorful and smooth. Egg was cooked to perfection and there was plenty to take home!

We don't live around here but this was across from REI and we were hungry! It's actually pretty darn good! I got the creamy vegan ramen which came with a bunch of veggies and soft tofu...yum! Broth was very flavorful. My son got the adult udon and enjoyed it a lot! Fast and very friendly service! Cute inside!

Great atmosphere!

Tried out this relatively new Ramen joint. The place is very cutely decorated with a Japanese ramen shop theme in mind. Our server was very sweet & nice throughout our meal. She quickly handled any problems we had, especially when accommodating to my vegetarian mother. For our appetizer we ordered Tako Yaki, Japanese Chasu Bun, Fried Tofu, & pop corn chicken. Everything was fine, but i noticed they used soft tofu for the fried tofu. It was kind of impressive that they were able to fry the tofu whole, because soft tofu normally breaks apart easily. Especially since they had to batter it & fry it. It did fall apart when we tried to eat it though. For our Main Entree we got Veggie Stir Fry udon, Chicken Fried Udon, and Beef Curry Ramen. The Beef curry ramen and Chicken fried Udon was standard kind of Mid taste. The Veggie stif fry actually was the best. I think the chef really compensated for the lack of meat & added so much flavor! They should really add this option to the menu, since we actually requested this. Desserts we got Taiyaki & Vanilla Mochi Ice Cream. This was my first time seeing Taiyaki fried. I think it was like a frozen taiyaki & they just fried it. It was interesting to see, since Taiyaki is a grilled fished shape pancake. It reminded me of like carnival deep fried oreos, but with Red Bean in it. Overall its a cute spot for a quick bite.

We decided to try Slurpin' Ramen Bar first. I had read that they originally started in California so I had a good feeling about it and I'm so glad we went! Their tonkotsu broth was probably the best I've had in the US. It was rich and full of flavor without feeling overly heavy. It was so good that we didn't want to leave any behind so we actually took the leftover broth with us for the 5-hour drive home (thankfully we had a cooler bag!). I immediately had to tell my son who's currently living in LA for college so he can visit one there too. This place is definitely going on our must-visit restaurant list from now on.

First, when you walk into the restaurant, it is very cute, has a bar for solo diners and booths incase you are in a group. The location is very cozy and the employees were great! Our server was very patient and had no problem explaining, re-explaining, and confirming with the chef if he wasn't 100% on an answer. I got a tofu rice bowl, which I typically don't get and it was delicious! I asked if the salad could be put on the side rather than in the bowl and was given a full side salad that I wound up mixing into my rice lol. I also added broccoli to the bowl, which I probably wouldn't do again because it was pretty bland, but overall the bowl was good. Now the vegan dumplings... were FANTASTIC! We shared the dumplings and everyone agreed that they were easily the best thing that we had eaten the whole day. The green color threw me off at first, but the crispiness and texture of the dumpling was amazing. I would love to go back and try the ramen to see how it measures up, but again, great experience. Also, when you are paying the check, they bring you a small bucket full of dum dum lollipops, which I thought was a great touch. Me and my adult guests all left like happy children, which is exactly how eating out should make you feel.

When I first had their ramen that's all I could think about when we visited Atl. I asked for spicy Sichuan pepper sauce on side and all it was doing with a tiny bit in my ramen was making my tongue tingle the whole time. It kind of ruined my appetite. I had this better and not sure why that happened. I was charged extra without being informed of this and I gave her the whole sauce back after telling the server about this. My Crispy Chicken Rice Burger was quite hard to eat without it falling apart and eating it layer by layer. The Thai Iced Tea was pretty good and so was a Purple Sweet Potato Fries. The Omurice was also good but lacking great as well as the Yinyang bowl. Overall my expectations were not met but glad I got to check out this popular franchise.

The first thing to be aware of is to not let any of the photos fool you! The portions are very generous. Many people around me ended up taking to-go boxes (myself included). I got the Kang Nam chicken, the half-sized tteokbokki, and the kimchi fried rice. The chicken was crispy and tender, and the white sauce with onion was incredibly delicious. The kimchi fried rice was also very flavorful as well. The spices balance very well together. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the regular tteokbokki. It wasn't bad per se, but it also wasn't good either. I think there are better places to get tteokbokki, but no worries, their focus and strength here is obviously in their fried chicken. I would come again and would recommend this place to other people.
