    Ginger salad

We loved this place so much that we came here twice in the same week! I'd highly recommend making a reservation because seating is limited and it gets crowded everyday especially on Friday and Saturday. This restaurant is clean and the rolls came out fresh, one at a time which I loved. We started with a salad with ginger dressing and some edamame. Both appetizers were delicious! We also ordered 4 rolls. The Kenzo roll, Caterpillar Roll, Volcano Roll and Kyoto Roll. My personal favorite was the Kyoto Roll and I requested the salmon on top to be fully cooked (not a problem). Also loved the Volcano roll as it came with a side of fire for coolness effect! We can't wait to come back and highly recommend this sushi spot in Alpharetta!

I have been wanting to come here for sushi and it did not disappoint!! We came here on a Monday night for a friend's birthday! There was plenty of parking but I know it can fill up because it was busy in the Maxwell. We made a reservation on resy and we were sat at a table soon as we arrived. We started with a bottle of wine- a Pinot noir and it was great with the sushi's. We got 8 piece nigiri and 3 rolls- spicy tuna crispy rice, sakura and Kyoto roll. We got a salad with the nigiri and the ginger dressing was so fresh and good. Everything was delicious. I love the various nigiri and the rolls are all good in their own way. It was hard to choose a favorite. We had a lovely time and they have outdoor seating that's perfect for a beautiful weather. We will be back to try their other items!

Food and service were great! Staff was so nice and attentive! We'll definitely be back.

Great sushi spot outside of Atlanta! The sushi is soo fresh and high quality. My favorites were the Toro, Otoro, Chutoro, and Sake for the nigiri. The crispy tuna rice and Sakura roll were also very good! It's a small and intimate interior, nothing too upscale. Service was also great - we were having a celebratory lunch and they brought us some mochi icecream after our meal. I wish it was closer to the city or I'd be here more often!

We are big fans of Lily Sushi. It is located right near downtown Alpharetta in the Maxwell and there are plenty of parking options and valet, if needed. The service is always exceptional and the servers are always professional and attentive. The sushi is some of our favorite, and always super fresh! They have the best ginger salad (the ginger dressing is divine). The signature nigiri is so good and the sushi rolls are *chefs kiss*. It's the perfect cozy date night spot or a casual patio location for sushi.

We made reservations for a Saturday morning, there wasn't much availability and the restaurant was crowded when we arrived. The service was excellent so I think they limit reservations to allow for walk in availability. Everything was delicious melt in your mouth. The sushi was so fresh and the flavors were amazing. The restaurant is gorgeous inside. We will be back again

I have seen Lily Sushi Bar pop up several times and took that as a sign to go here for a belated birthday celebration for me! My friend treated me to a wonderful meal with great service and a little birthday surprise at the end! The area is very small and kind of cramped so definitely make a reservation. I gave up boozy drinks for Lent so they gave me non boozy options so I had an iced green tea with simple syrup on the side to add sweetness. I started with the tuna tartar which was delicious but I wanted more! It was so small! For my entree I had the Tokyo roll which was also delicious. And for the birthday surprise- a sparkler with three delicious little mochi! What a sweet end to a wonderful girls night out. I would like to come back and try more of the menu- and a cocktail after Lent!

I've eaten at Lily Sushi Bar 2 times and have really enjoyed each visit. The inside is cozy and servers are always nice. I've been during lunch time so not sure how busy it can get but I prefer to be there when it's quiet to sit at the bar. I always get a different roll that the server recommends to figure out my preferences and decided I'm not a fan of a bunch of crunch stuff in top of sushi, it's too distracting and weird. Other than that the sushi is always fresh and the miso soup is a great appetizer.

Resy for Reservations Located in Alpharetta you'll find this cute little sushi place called Lily sushi the food is excellent. They have wonderful cooked dishes as well as a lovely selection of sushi, sashimi and specialty rolls. The hand rolls are great too at only seven dollars. I do recommend reservations as it's a very small restaurant. Resy is the website to make your reservation.

Nice sushi spot in Alpharetta. They have lunch specials which is great ! All the sushi was fresh and not fishy tasting at all. Went down easily and service is quick. Pricing is a little bit high but expected in this area and location. Make reservations for lunch if you want table as they are fully booked and busy when I went on a regular Wednesday afternoon. Parking is shared and limited to the area but quick walk to any shop available

I came here with my sister. Food is a bit expensive for what you get, compared to other top Sashimi restaurants. What i don't like is when I say "Thank you". The waitstaff is supposed to say "you are welcome". Not "No problem". It's not proper response. It is very low class. Not good mannerism. You work for a fine restaurant and you respond as if you are working at home depot. Even people in Home depot respond saying "you are welcome", when someone says Thank You. You only say "no problem" if i ask you if it is a problem to bring me more tea. Anyway that shows you the kind of training communication between upper management and staff. It is very important to communicate with your customers the correct way. Other than that, food is decent.

This place is awesome. Service is really above and beyond. They bring out warm towels for you to wipe your hands, they gave us a little basket for my mom's purse, and even unwrapped our napkins and put them in our laps! They are so nice and very knowledgeable on gluten free items. And the sushi- wow. It's on another level here. The decor and vibes are immaculate, it's small and intimate in there. Fresh roses on every table. Love it!!!

There are so many thoughtful little details in the décor that make it feel special. Every server and staff member was genuinely kind and impressively hospitable, offering a level of service that honestly surpasses some higher-end restaurants I've been to. Now, the food. Their ginger salad might be the best I've ever had. They use romaine and green leaf lettuce instead of the typical iceberg, which gives it far more flavor and texture. The dressing was smooth and creamy--not broken, watery, or overly acidic like so many ginger dressings tend to be. The miso soup also had more depth of flavor than most versions I've tried. A bonus surprise: they have more lunch options than what's listed online, and the in-person prices are actually cheaper. So don't rely on the website--come in and look for yourself. I ordered the chicken teriyaki and sushi roll combo. They offer a generous selection of rolls to choose from, and I went with the Alaskan roll. The filling was plentiful and well-balanced. The rice on the outside was slightly thin in a few bites where the seaweed peeked through, but the overall flavor was excellent. The chicken teriyaki was outstanding--juicy, tender, perfectly seared, and full of rich teriyaki flavor. I also appreciated the unexpected cold bean sprout salad on the side, which added a nice contrast to the meal. Overall, this was a wonderful lunch at a very fair price--only $15. I'd happily return and highly recommend stopping in rather than making assumptions based on appearances or online listings.

The atmosphere is upscale and modern, with elegant decor and tall ceilings with tons of light. The plating and silverware is also spot on. I ordered a tako nigiri and a Mikata sushi tower with spicy tuna and real crab in it. The presentation was gorgeous and the dishes tasted as good as it looked. I've visited Mikata Sushi twice now, about two months apart, and I have quite a few thoughts! There…read morewere definitely some highlights, but a few things left me underwhelmed. Let's get into it! Yellowtail - 6/10 If you know me, you know yellowtail is MY FISH! I absolutely love yellowtail, and honestly, I enjoy it in just about any presentation. However, something about this one was a little off for me. The cuts were noticeably thicker than what I typically prefer. The flavor was there, but the overall appearance and color of the fish didn't give me the same quality impression I've gotten from other yellowtail experiences. What makes this more interesting is that I ordered it on BOTH visits, and unfortunately, I had the same impression each time. I wanted to love it because yellowtail is easily one of my favorite fish, but it just wasn't giving what I'm used to. Steak Fried Rice - 7/10 WOWWW! This was probably the biggest surprise of the entire experience. This is some of the best fried rice I've had in a WHILEEEE! The flavor profiles were EVERYTHING. I could actually taste the individual ingredients, but somehow everything came together beautifully. You know when a song comes on and every single beat hits exactly where it's supposed to? That's how this fried rice tasted! Now, why the 7/10 instead of higher? THE YUM YUM SAUCE. I honestly feel like it did more harm than good. The sauce had more of a mayonnaise-like taste, and I felt it took away from what was already really good fried rice. I wish I had ordered it without the sauce the first time around. I actually regret not getting it on my first visit, but I'm so happy I finally tried it on my second! Shrimp Tempura - 5/10 This one was pretty forgettable. The shrimp was very crispy, which I appreciated, but the ponzu sauce it came with threw off the overall flavor for me. Something about the combination just didn't quite come together. The flavor wasn't fully there, and while it wasn't necessarily a bad dish, it definitely wasn't something I'd go back specifically to order. Nothing particularly memorable. Margarita Roll - 10/10 YESSSSS! NOW THIS IS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT! As a YELLOWTAIL LOVER, this roll understood the assignment! This is a raw roll, and the fish was SO flavorful. Everything about this roll worked for me. The flavor, the overall experience, just everything! I ordered this on BOTH visits, and both times it delivered. That's how you know it's good when you come back and immediately order the same thing again. Easily my favorite item at Mikata. If I returned, this would absolutely be on my order again. My Spending First Visit: * Margarita Roll * Yellowtail * Total: $50 Second Visit: * Shrimp Tempura * Yellowtail * Steak Fried Rice * Margarita Roll * Total: $80 Service & Overall Experience - 6/10 Now, let's talk about service because this definitely impacted my overall experience. First Visit: I'd honestly give the service a 0/10. My waiter took an extremely long time to bring out my dishes, and my yellowtail was slightly warm by the time it arrived. Second Visit: I sat at the sushi bar, and I believe one of the managers assisted me. The difference was noticeable! Not necessarily because he was a manager, but because he was attentive. You can literally see the food coming out on the sushi bar, and he actually took the time to pay attention and make sure my dishes made it to me. During my first visit, my waiter would see food come out, walk right past it without saying anything, and head back into the kitchen. I noticed that same lack of attentiveness again during my second visit. It wasn't a matter of the restaurant being too busy; it was a matter of someone taking the time to pay attention to their customers and the food coming out. I really appreciated the assistance during my second visit because it made everything move much faster. Final Thoughts Overall, I'd give Mikata a 6/10. The Margarita Roll was a 10/10 experience, and the steak fried rice was a pleasant surprise. However, the yellowtail consistency and service definitely brought down my overall rating. Would I return? Possibly! But I already know exactly what I'm ordering: that Margarita Roll!
