We enjoy MF bar located at Avalon near The Hotel. It's always a great place to go while at Avalon if you're in the mood for sushi, my other favorite sushi spot is Lily sushi. Loved the Red Dragon Roll! Service was good - allow extra time as it can take a while for your beautiful rolls to be made. Presentation is just beautiful!! Decent sized dining room with tables / booths / 1/2 booths. Outdoor tables are available if you prefer as well as bar seats. read more

MF Bar - Red Dragon Roll - delicious (back) Negi Salmon Roll - good not great. - Sushi Bars Near Me - Alpharetta, Georgia

Every time I come here I enjoy! The sushi is amazing and the vibes are relaxing. It's nice to sit at the bar after work or go for a date night. A bit small on the inside but cozy. The staff always gives excellent service and pay attention to details. I have to say, the wagyu roll is a must try if you want to splurge! Definitely get it with lobster if you want an off menu item read more

We had a great experience at MF Bar! We had an early reservation on Saturday night and got sat right away. All the servers were so nice and friendly and drinks were refilled right away without asking. The decor was very modern and clean. The food was also delicious! We started with the Edamame appetizer and a Peach Martini. The drinks here are made well and the bartenders actually know what they are doing!! We were impressed. I ordered the Dynamite Roll, Sweetheart Roll, and Snow Crab Tempura Roll. My favorite roll was the Snow Crab roll! I wish the rolls were a bit bigger but they were very tasty! Prices were around $20+ per roll. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. I'd recommend trying this restaurant for sure! read more

We went on a whim on a Saturday since we were already at Avalon and it was the best surprise although I personally do not eat sushi. My husband loves sushi, so I joined and got chicken breast yakitori and a cucumber roll with a side of spicy mayo and it was great. My husband got a house salad, a tuna & a salmon roll, as well as tuna nigiri and said it was great and tasted fresh. We will 100% be back for him since he raved about how GOOD the tuna nigiri was. The ambiance was chill and the workers were friendly too. read more

First time visiting and heard about it through my husband's friend. Cool, chic, and beautifully casual. The staff was attentive service was impeccable and food was amazing! We had appetizers, followed by rolls and a couple of orders of the pork belly yakitori. Yum! We definitely will be going back. read more

We love our servers Viet, Tommy, Chris, Thai and Tre. The food is honestly the best Sushi in Georgia . I had a dear friend really introduce me to the world's best sushi. He orders off menu and I was shocked how they served us. It was professional grade service with a smile. The ambience sets the mood! read more

Came in on a Sunday afternoon (sort of on a whim) with a couple of friends and my baby and we were greeted and seated right away! Service was spectacular, the restaurant was busy but somehow still nice and fairly quiet, and the sushi was phenomenal. I had been craving sushi like no other, and for my first sushi meal after an entire year of not having it, this spot definitely filled my sushi bucket and cured my craving (although now I just want to go back every weekend). The menu isn't as large as other Japanese spots, and that made for quick and easy decision making. We all shared a few different rolls, but the Dynamite roll was a stand out. The Crunchy roll and Spicy Tuna Crispy box were also delicious. read more

Lunch date with my daughter and amazing experience at MF, from ambience, to food quality and service. Wow! Let's start with our server Daniel who was simply great, that perfect amount of friendly and professional. The first restaurant we tried after moving into this new city and I have to say, my husband and I are obsessed. Sushi was so fresh as well the ginger haha probably ate the whole bowl of ginger and that's a first for me. We got a sweetheart roll and lobster roll and both were terrific. Service was so quick and our sever/ bartender were so attentive to our needs. Ambiance and décor is also a 10/10. Must visit spot! read more

Best sushi in Atlanta area imo. We ate here for dinner and at nobu the next day. Nobu was delicious, don't get me wrong, but MF takes the crown for value. We loved the yuzu sauce on the sashimi. We will be back next time we're in Atlanta! Make sure to stop by Jeni's for gooey butter cake ice cream afterwards. read more

MF Bar nails the ambiance -- sleek, modern, and perfect for a night out or special occasion. The vibe is upscale and super chill, and the menu is packed with a lot of interesting options. From sushi to eggplant. Everything I tried was seriously delicious. Service was almost too good. The drink menu is a standout, with some unusual and cool cocktails you won't find everywhere. If you like experimenting with new flavors, you'll definitely find something intriguing here. That said, the price is nuts. The food and drinks are fantastic, but it comes at a steep cost. It's the kind of place you hit for a special treat, not your go-to for a casual dinner. read more

Super intimate atmosphere, servers were really attentive Food: Must get the salmon carpaccio - very innovative with the truffle mousse, surprising the truffle didn't overwhelm the salmon Salmon belly sashimi - really generous portion but the fish could be a little colder Hollywood Roll - super refreshing and the cucumber added that nice crisp texture, really good for summer Toro Osaka Box Style Roll - rice seemed too soft but toro was amazing with the masago and sriracha read more

Honestly the worst service. Food is amazing but the service is absolutely horrific. This is my second Time here the food has gotten better and the service worse. We were completely ignored the entire night. After we placed our app we had to flag them down for more water, ginger and wasabi, and more food. They forgot about our second roll and we didn't want to keep flagging them down for stuff. Definitely will not be back I had the A5 roll and the sweetheart roll were both AMAZING. The lobster miso I could have done without. read more

Great sushi spot in the Avalon! If you're looking for a fresh spot to grab a bite, this is it. Service is consistently good, as is the food. They have many options - sashimi, rolls, etc that are always good. I love the variety their menu offers. It's a nice vibe inside with an upscale bar. It would be a great place to grab a drink as well. Their cocktail menu is good. Overall, love this place! read more

Went here for a birthday celebration a few weeks ago. The birthday girl was excited about sushi and MF did not disappoint! The menu was extensive and our party decided to try lot of different dishes so we had a smorgasbord of options and they were all delicious! Our server Vince was top-notch and was readily available to help with our indecisiveness as a group lol he had wonderful patience! Our dinner was during a weekday, and it was quite bustling! The interior is cozy, and I can't imagine how popular the weekends will be so my best advice will be to make a reservation. Can't wait to go back! Great job MF! read more

I have been wanting to try this place for awhile. The ambiance is nice and the staff was friendly. The yellowtail was by far my favorite and the serenity mocktail was really good. I ordered the wagyu beef rolls because I've heard so much hype about them but they did not live up to the hype for me and I would absolutely not suggest them. Overall, the service was fine but it is a bit overpriced and I would not dine here again. read more

I met a friend here on a weeknight for a light dinner and drinks. We ordered the spicy yellowtail roll, the rainbow roll and edamame. The portions were small and the prices were a bit high. This is a great spot for date nights. Our server, Tri, who was also the manager, provided us such amazing service and was very knowledgeable on the menu. When we ask for recommendations, he knew exactly what we would like base on our preferences such as sour or sweet. Every dish we had was delicious and their drinks were great too. Their food presentation was so pretty. We tried a few of their appetizers and they were all great but my favorite was the salmon carpaccio and my husband really liked the kampachi appetizer. We also tried their nigiris and they were delicious! I highly recommend this place! read more

MF bar is located inside the Avalon, near the Avalon hotel. So it is expected that this restaurant is more on the pricey end. There is a wide variety of nigiri and sushi rolls, with more high end fish as well. There are other dishes, but I have only tried the sushi which I have always enjoyed. I have been here several times and service has typically been on the slower side, but everyone has always been kind and helpful. I suggest making a reservation before coming here. I like to come here with one of my good friends, but it would be really nice for a date night :) read more

Took friends and had an amazing meal, however, the service was absolutely atrocious. We spent over $350 for 3 people and our waiter never filled our waters or took away dirty plates. I even asked him to clear our table before desert and he took a few plates and never came back to get the rest. He didn't take them even when he brought the desert. At this price point. I expected more. I wanted to contact management, but their website has no contact info. Disappointed. read more

I was really excited to try this place but unfortunately it wasn't my favorite. I really wanted to like it, but I just didn't. The sushi quality was extremely mid and overpriced for what it was. Style over substance would be the best way to describe it. A lot of cool presentation but not a lot of flavor. I hate to give any restaurant below a 3, but honestly I didn't even finish my rolls. The lychee martini was extremely dry and not at all lychee flavored. I'm really not a boujee person especially when it comes to sushi, so I was excited to try something more high end, but it wasn't up to par with what I've had in the past from much cheaper restaurants like circle sushi. It was Instagram worthy but the flavors weren't there in my opinion. I'd be willing to try it again in hopes of a better experience in the future. read more

So this place has awesome sushi We started at the bar, which is a very nice bar with excellent customer service. The place is small but lends itself to be catering to and a more intimate experience. Now for the important part: the food. Everything we had was amazing. The soup was flavorful. The spicy tuna crispy rice was absolutely amazing. Every roll we had was amazing. The best roll was the red dragon roll. But all of them were great. They even prepared fresh real wasabi. Which is very different than the fake wasabi, which is horseradish. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who like fresh sushi, sashimi, etc. read more

Popped in while staying at Hotel Avalon for a work trip. After cruising the yelp photos of different rolls I went with the Avalon roll. While pricey for the size. But IT WAS AMAZING!!! There are other rolls that are at a lower price point but I kept reading it was a favorite so I splurged. I also had a ginger salad which was fantastic. I really liked the vibe and that it was small. It felt intimate, but also loved sitting at the bar. Great place for hotel guests to walk across the street. Also would be nice for a girls night or couples. It was packed on a Monday night so I would imagine reservations are necessary on weekends. read more

I popped into MF Bar for lunch. Sat at the bar. Although the waiter was very nice he was frazzled due to the 6 tables he had going all at once. The other fellow helping him kept wiping his nose with his wrist, not a fan when people in service do that. I ordered several pieces of sushi , salmon, salmon belly , toro and a California hand roll. The salmon was very good, small but tasty. Toro was okay , a little chewy. I wanted it to be more buttery and melt in your mouth but alas no such luck. The California hand roll was gross. It smelled and wasn't as fresh as I was hoping. Kindly it was taken off my bill. For 3 nigiri , the check was $43 bucks. High for sure considering the product. I LOVE sushi & having lived in Cali for 20 years I'm definitely spoiled but this product should be better in my opinion. The restaurant itself was a little dusty, not as tidy as I was anticipating. Won't go back. read more

Avid sushi lover here! I absolutely love this place. The ambiance, the location, the sushi. Everything! I ordered the yellowtail to start, then moved onto the crispy tuna and the chef sampler. Everything was amazingly fresh! I actually prefer this location over the Virginia Highlands location. The service was also great! The server was able to recommend the top menu items, which I absolutely love. I walked off my sushi in the Avalon afterwards! MF has definitely gained a loyal customer. read more

We love the food and used to eat down at Inman Park. It can be pricey so, that's why you don't go often. However, every once in a while it's worth splurging. The negi salmon roll, the pork belly miso, scallop/salt skewers, and maguro rolls are great. I'd recommend sitting at a table. Couple of times at the bar, the service is bad. The bartender wasn't good at all. She was very slow and didn't clear any plates for us. Otherwise, highly recommend. read more

The ambience is nice, and the service is decent. The food is OK. Everything is incredibly pricey, especially for what you get. I felt like either you have regular sushi where it's incredibly expensive I think it was $13 for two little pieces, or the rolls which were bigger but way too saucy. The appetizer we ordered, the avocado ball, was good but so costly for something so tiny. Overall decent experience, but have been to do many other Japanese restaurants that are significantly better. read more

Lunch with family members for daughter's birthday. Wife had never eaten sushi before but did enjoy her tuna roll. Takoyaki was very good, but I expect a serving to include 6 pieces as they do in Japan and elsewhere. I went with yakitori ( chicken and pork belly), which were good but nothing special. Solid 4* but pricy. We three only drank water and sat outside. Bill with tax and tip was $80. read more
