Found out about this place on Instagram and their food and pastries looked wonderful, so decided to check it out for Saturday breakfast. It's a quaint breakfast/lunch spot at a shopping center in Decatur so parking should not be an issue. You're greeted by a pastry case that looked wonderful. We were dining in though so we sat ourselves. In the beginning, our server was not the friendliest. He dropped off the menus without even greeting us. When he came back he was a bit more chipper. I ordered the traditional southern breakfast with over hard eggs, home fries, biscuit and turkey sausage. My husband got the veggie omelette with home fries, and we shared a cinnamon roll. We both enjoyed our food, but it was nothing to write home about - just typical, home cooked breakfast. The cinnamon roll was more of a biscuit texture and the icing was super, super sweet. It was cheap for what we got though, around $40.

Pastries A Go Go told me to pull up for the Honey Lemon Pepper Chicken Biscuit so I did just that. I customized it by getting it on a Jalapeño Cheddar Biscuit. There's an insane amount of lemon flavor and it has a nice floral component (I think they used meyer lemons?). The honey was not too sweet and I would absolutely come back for the jalapeño cheddar biscuit alone. I also got a caramel iced latte. They have a very large shade tree covered patio that I will be back to try. The pastries looked good, but I was so full. The sandwich even had a hash brown on it! The cheese grits were amazing. The service was really good (shout out to Jonathan) and the place has a comfortable relaxed atmosphere with whimsical decor. You definitely need to check this place out!

Cane for an event here an I can't wait to come back to eat breakfast. I got to try the salt bread chicken salad sandwich. And it was amazing!!!!! The salt bread was so fluffy and salty and paired very well with the chicken salad. The chicken salad was so flavorful and delicious. The service here was so friendly !! The owner was super sweet and even gave us a spinach pastry. Overall, I cannot wait to be back and try their super viral salt bread.

Came in for brunch a few weekends ago. We got there around 10am and got a seat easily, but it filled up quickly after that. We got a classic plate and a chocolate chip pancake. Loved this spot - classic breakfast spot and great service! Plus free parking - a rare find in Decatur!

Pastries A Go Go was a recommendation from online that I couldn't wait to try. It has plenty parking as it's located near relatively busy retail shops which I knew was a good sign. The bulk of the people I saw, were dining in. I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich as a starting point for my first time. It was loaded! It had plenty bacon on it which surprised me in comparison to other shops that give you like one strip and one tiny egg. Very filling to be one item. It could have used a bit more seasoning/flavor for my personal taste but I still enjoyed it after jazzing it up myself. The cashier was kind despite it being an early Saturday morning rush. The storefront has a bit of an older feel like the type of place your grandparents would own but I think it adds character. Would go again and try another dish.

On the news I heard this place was a staple of Decatur and was closing soon. I wanted to check it out before this happened. This place is very casual - order at the counter or table service. I did table service and ordered oatmeal, coffee, and bacon. All was pretty standard and the waiter for fairly attentive. THIS ISSUE: I received my check, the total was 11 and change, I gave by card to pay and when the receipt was brought back, I WAS CHARGED A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT AMOUNT. The waiter didn't say anything about up-charging my card. When I looked at the receipt the prices were changed and the coffee was added. It seems he made a mistake and tried to correct it silently. Unfortunately, this is not the way. The changes should have clearly been communicated before charging my card. It felt very dishonest and shady.

I was pleasantly surprised. I arrived around 815am shortly after they opened at 730am. There were only a few people there. I was immediately seated and I chose outside. The waitress was very attentive. Everything I had to eat was very tasty. The French toast was fluffy and garnished with fruit. The eggs, chicken sausage and grits were delicious and cooked well. I will definitely return

Checked out this place on a whim since it was close by. Found the menu deceptive, particularly the grilled chicken sandwich which is described as "marinated." There was not a single spec of seasoning on the chicken breast and it was completely bland. I asked the server what is was marinated in and apparently its just olive, salt and pepper It might also be the time of day I went (around 1pm) but I found their cookies rather hard and dry.

New owners with a more inviting menu. Good food and friendly people! Great to eat out in the shade, inside or take home.

Cafe Alsace is one such discovery that belongs on the radar of those in the know. Having been around since 1997 and founded by a French immigrant, Benedicte Cooper, this is one of the more unique establishments focused on specific cuisine of Alsace region. Spectacular liver pate. Incredible Flammekueche flatbread. Ridiculously inexpensive selection of great wines, up charged at 1.5x retail. I mean, where does one find deals like that in today's market? The patio has a couple pleasantly setup tables. Sadly, as with most Atlanta patios, it is next to the relatively busy road, but it is what it is. With all this said, Cafe Alsace is a real winner when it comes to a casual French meal.

As many restaurants do for Valentine's Day, they offered a prix fixe menu including a starter (wonderful chestnut soup), main (we chose a savory crepe with sautéed chicken), and dessert (a light raspberry puff pastry). Each course was delicious and accented by additional Valentine's touches (see photos). I'm not an expert on French cuisine but I can say the food is reminiscent of meals I've enjoyed traveling in France. Service was on point and we were well taken care of throughout the night with each course arriving in a timely manner. Note they do not have parking or valet, so if you make a reservation allow time to find a parking spot in downtown Decatur (some of the public garages are quite pricey so a short walk is worthwhile). Cafe Alsace offers a delicious meal in a romantic setting, so give them a try if you want a can't-miss date night.

It's adjacent to a parking deck and small. Very cozy, though! The menu is simple and it was a one-man show that day (other staff had left due to closing). LOVED IT! The coleslaw was really good and the Sammie was probably one of the freshest I've had. We had to wait a bit due to it being just him but worth the wait. I did the hot chick ... yeah, I can get away with saying that ... and it was huge, overflowing, tender and fresh. This is a SOLID spot. I was told they'd be re-opening nearby and I hope that's the case. They were BUSY as well so it's clearly not a customer issue. Check them out when they re-open. Simple and amazing!

My favorite is the ATL chick which is juicy fried chicken breast tossed in buffalo sauce and... ANNNND... lemon pepper. Cmon. We're in ATL. What other way is there?! Then it has ranch drizzled on top and dressed how you want... lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle. Even the bread is yummy. The sweet potato fries are crispy and airy and go great with the comeback sauce which is whatever smoky heavenly concoction they came up with as a sauce. Listen if you're in downtown Decatur... Do yourself a favor and get here! There is street parking available and you can pay by app or at the meter. It's about $2 for an hour. They also serve salads, other sandwiches, and breakfast. Small collection of beer, wine, and cocktails.
