I haven't been F2O in years! It was always one of the best places for lunch. I was in the area for work end of the day and decided to see if it was still good. F2O is F2O. I'm doing this review to highlight this phenomenal team. I walked in, was greeted immediately. The young lady at the register was super nice. They always have the best cookies. I couldn't decide which cookie to get. She recommended the oatmeal. I said I wanted a fresh one since she said, they just finished baking. I don't know if the guy the the brought them to me was the manager on duty or what, but he went to the back and brought out fresh cookie tray then let me choose which one I wanted. Wrapped it up and handed it to me. After I checked out, without me asking, I wasn't even thinking about it, the cashier automatically offered me a cup for water. I don't know if this is new or not. I don't remember them doing this back in the day, you had to ask, but that was nice. While waiting, I looked towards the kitchen and even the cook was nice, nodded and smiled at me, essentially acknowledging me me from where he was. I had a really nice experience here today even though it was quick. I really wish I could do something other than this review for this team to be recognized 2/24/26 4:30pm. Even the guy on his break was nice. We laughed and joked real quick. None of these employees seem to hate what they do and it shows. Even the guy who I believed to be the manager on duty, super attentive to everything going on in the restaurant and kept moving and assisting the cashier. They all had great dispositions and really made me want to support this location. Highly recommend this F2O. They all made my day. I got the usual tenders and garlic mash. However, the cashier let me know that they had hot version of the tenders, so I got the hot version for the first time. The mash was dry and did not taste fresh, but the strips were fresh and really good. They definitely are more flat/thin than I remember. I remember the ships being a lot more around/thick and full but they were fresh and I did enjoy it. I will go back another time. read more

We needed fuel after the gym and came here for quick healthy eats. The ambiance is a bit outdated and it just felt dirty walking in, though it's nice to see that you can still order at the counter with an actual person instead of the self-order kiosks. The employee who took our order was super friendly and patient since it took us a minute to figure out what we want. We ended up ordering the fig salad with chicken and Mediterranean bowl with salmon. They brought our food to our table and we didn't wait very long. My salad was only 1/2 size but added protein and hit the spot. The chicken was not dry and my salad was dressed properly- I hate a wet salad. It also had all the sweet and crunchy toppings! I forgot about the croissants they serve on the side and these are delicious. My husband got the bowl could easily be shared between two people. Greetings, ALL!! FYI...I was able to see a section of Fox 5's BURGERS WITH BUCK this morning 3rd of May 2026. I'm a 70 year seasoned black man that has served this country, thus, being a US Army Veteran. In my days, I normally don't mention race, however, I've had many (more so the present) encounters lately because of my race. Thus, I know when it's displayed, even quietly. I witnessed this today at the Decatur's location on East Pounce DeLeon @ 12n. I placed an order with Ellie who was very polite and attentive to my order and answered my questions in a very nice response. I sat and waited for my to go order and simply observed the staff and cooks. After a few minutes, I saw where certain orders were given to two different customers. They were ahead of me. I then noticed two customers that placed orders after me. They received their order before me. I told myself, it's okay, that just means my order of a southwest burger would be cooked to order and fresh as the company name specifies. I was wrong. I observed an server by the name of Renee' or Renae (not sure of my spelling) when two elderly Caucasians walk in immediately go to register to assist them. I saw my burger in a to go carton just sitting there on the windows from the kitchen that had been there a few minutes. No big deal, it would take a while to cool off since it JUST came off the grill. (WRONG!!) After observing Renee' pittle around she finally picked up a to go bag and proceeded to place my order in the bag. After it was complete she looked towards me and went to Ellie and said something and looked at me again. Wasn't a good or positive look/glance. She approached me as I was sitting down and handed me my order with no thank you or any type appreciation, which, by my raising as a child, I said it to her. My expectations were not met by a decent response of you're welcome. Renee appears to be in my era, thus, we were brought up this is the proper response as opposed to no problem. I'm so glad she didn't respond with the latter, I would have pointed out that her attitude was a problem. I'm inclined to say that I believe I experienced quiet racial rudeness. I say that because, if you have anything positive to say, why would you say it as you walk away with your back to me? If anyone from the management office sees this review, I would happy to quote what was said. I'm almost certain this is not an isolated incident. I've been coming to this fresh to order location since my undergraduate days and it never disappoints. I dream of the sandwich I get every time which is the Asian chicken crunch panini. Plus they have amazing Caesar salad and warm bread rolls. Staff is always friendly and they bring your food out to you if you dine in. It's also never crowded with a massive amount of seating. This nice quaint restaurant is perfectly located at a corner spot with parking nearby and a great atmosphere all around. The staff are always helpful and attentive. The menu is quite robust with many different options and combinations. However, it can get a little pricey if you start to alter their base offerings a little too much. Their sandwiches are good, taste healthy and are very well presented. But the portions a little small for my taste. Except for the salads.. they load those up! The cream of mushroom soup is fantastic! Best one I've had. So I definitely recommend that. Overall - the restaurant is a solid choice for a quick power lunch. read more

I'm writing this letter because I was thoroughly shocked. After a few visits to F2O in Decatur. I inquired, where is Jared, and was informed he was no longer at the Decatur location, but at the Cobb location. The food at F2O is always awesome, but Jared also made it a more welcoming feeling. My neighbor and myself would look forward to laughing with Jared at the Decatur location. His management skills and customer service are awesome.I may have to drive to Cobb.. Let me start by saying this restaurant is a 10 out of 10. From the fresh, great tasting food to the manager Jaron taking care of my daughter and I this restaurant is definitely a hidden gem in Decatur. Parking near by is free for 2 hours which I didn't know so we parked at the lot a few streets over. I was nervous due to the homeless people on that street. However as we got closer there were a lot of restaurants, people walking with pets and just being friendly. We sat outside on the patio and the manager came back and forth refilling drinks, conversing and being friendly with everyone. A different customer parked on the street and forgot to pay the meter so he asked her if she wanted him to sit with her kids while she ran and paid to avoid a ticket. She was so gracious and he even gave the kids cupcakes while they waited. After we ate he asked where we parked and when we told him where he walked us to the car and thanked us for patronizing the restaurant. I cannot wait to return. Visit: 1/1/22: The service was great for our visit. The food is superb. Customer service was excellent. It was a rainy day so we could not eat outside but it was not busy inside and they abide by COVID policy. Touch less menu, mask required, seemed clean and spacing between tables. Bathrooms were clean and they checked our table frequently to make sure our needs were met. . The only issue was toward the end of our visit. A random male came up to the window and began yelling obscene things at us out of nowhere. Then he said he had a weapon and walked off. We actually left right after that because we were not sure where he went nor if he would come into the restaurant. This had NOTHING to do with the restaurant, they can't control what happens outside but we just did not feel safe in the climate. He seemed to be in mental distress but not our circus not our clown. Good food and good service! I'd heard great things about Fresh to Order and visited on a Thursday for a work lunch meeting. We were promptly greeted and given a run down or the various menu options - and there are A LOT! If you are trying to stay healthy, there are definitely several options available for you, which I appreciated. I ordered the salmon with rice and it was very good! I was a bit caught off guard when the food came out because the salmon was very thin and almost looked like a pork chop to me. But once I got over that, the flavor and texture was very good. The manager came and checked on our group several times to make sure we were taken care of which I also appreciated. Parking was a pain. This past Saturday, I was blown completely away by the ownership mentality, attention to detail, and unwavering desire to achieve guest satisfaction, exhibited by F2O Assistant Manager, Jaron. When I presented a loyalty/gift card for balance inquiry, I was informed that the program had been replaced by another, and the remaining funds could not be confirmed at POS. Jaron immediately joined the cashier at the register to determine the issue. Jaron leaped into action requesting my membership info and email address, assuring me he knew the person to call for resolution. When they had not answered or returned the call (probably due to it being Saturday at 8pm) Jaron stated he would follow up with me as soon as the call was returned.. I was more than prepared to pay for today's order and address the gift card issue on Monday, during the corporate business hours. Before I approached the cashier to place my order,Jaron smiled and again assured me he would resolve the issue and get back in contact with me. He then utterly surprised me by offering to comp my purchase... WOW!!! I was already quite impressed by Jaron's flurry of actions thus far, as well as the fact he deftly continued to run the shift simultaneously. Jaron's above and beyond gesture to turn a problem into a solution, thoroughly warmed this retired District Manager's heart! If I were still in the business, I would soooo steal this gem! Barely 10 minutes after leaving Fresh To Order with their delicious calamari and ale laced tenders, I received a call from Jaron. The corporate contact had returned his calls. She confirmed $66 was available on the card. Jaron informed me how to swap the old card for a new active one next week. I asked Jaron to use the updated info to charge my $23 purchase. Jaron again thanked me for my patience and understanding and stated this meal was on him for the inconvenience. Kudos again to Jaron for making customer satisfaction his priority. I was recently introduced to F20 by a friend. It's down the street from the gym that I go to and it has lots of healthy options if you're in the mood. There are also tons of sammies and delectable soup options. The creamy mushroom is a crowd fave. My go to is the club salad with a fresh super tender bison burger on top. They load up the salads with tons of veggies, fruits and nuts depending on your choice of salad. There are also plenty of protein options to add to the top if you choose to do so. Think...ale laced chicken tenders, lightly breaded calamari and blackened chicken or salmon. They accommodate every request and everyone is so friendly. I was actually on my way elsewhere and came across this restaurant and I'm glad I stopped in. There's a nice outdoor area to eat but I ended up dining inside. Menus were available upon entering and after reviewing the menu we approached the counter to order. I ordered the Salmon dripped with Coconut Curry Sauce and it was delicious. It came with rice. Their prices are reasonable and they have the best lemonade I had the mango orange lemonade it was so good. My daughter ordered grilled chicken tenders which came on a grit cake. I order the grilled salmon panini-it comes with baby greens, avocado, corn cilantro relish, and aioli. How can you mess this up you're thinking...I'll tell you how; there was too much aioli on the bread which made it get soggy and the salmon slid out the bread as I bit into it. This was a recommendation from my son to come here, so my sister and I did just that. Menus were right near the door as you walk in. I ordered the Smokey Southwest Chicken sandwich which is a chicken breast that is slow roasted with a flavorful taste to it. The menu says that it's spicy, but glad I tried it anyway because it wasn't spicy at all. I loved the added touch of crispy tortillas that was inside the sandwich. My sister ordered the Grilled Salmon, which was marinated in a bourbon sauce, she really enjoyed the corn cilantro relish that comes with the salmon. This review is for the black bean burger and veggie sandwich. Our veggie sandwich came with 4 items missing on it. The olive tapenade , feta cheese , balsamic , and a missing veggie. It was very limp and I seriously would pay 3 bucks for what we got. The black bean burger was the consistency of wet dog food and fell apart everywhere when trying to eat the burger. Lunch was the seared tuna plate while dinner was the bison burger on ciabatta roll with a side salad. Super fresh food and a bit of uniqueness to their menu. Fountain drinks are Coca Cola products, and they have several flavors of lemonade, and some beer as well. Great staff who offered suggestions for pairings. In fact, during the dinner visit they were having computer problems resulting in their inability to accept payments. I've only been twice but I love fresh to order. You go in, order at the counter and the food is brought to you. The menu is not overwhelming and I think there's something for everyone. The patio area was very cute so we sat outside. I went with the grilled salmon with coconut curry sauce and I asked before hand if the coconut taste was strong and they advised that it wasn't which was correct! I think it tasted great. I ordered the smaller portion with half creamy chicken veggie soup which was sooo good. I'm curious what the larger plate would've looked like but this was more than enough for a dinner. Overall, I think it's one of the best options if you don't want to sit and wait to be served and all of that for healthy food. The salad did not have honey mustard dressing on it when it arrived and I didn't bother say anything because that would have meant another salad needed to be made. I added chicken tenders to the salad but they were dry so I only ate half of one. I also added a side of the wheat berry rice which was very good. Never have had a problem as far as food, except maybe when my mom got her salad dressing on her salad when she had actually asked for it on the side. Didn't matter because their dressing is delicious & it was literally a one time thing, lol. Food always good, love the different combinations of things i usually wouldn't mix plus their lemonades are delicious. My favorite go to's are their Salmon Panini and Asian Salad. Came here one day after the gym for a healthy lunch. I have always enjoyed the Asian salad with seared tuna so I was excited to have it again after such a long hiatus. Unfortunately it wasn't anywhere near as good as I remembered it to be. It wasn't "bad" but it definitely wasn't very good. My boyfriend got the Caesar salad with steak and was really unhappy with his order. This location serves it well, its in the heart of downtown Decatur and they have a great outdoor patio.
