The staff are kind and consistently compliment you haha :) The vibe is surprisingly classy with lowkey overhead lighting that makes the restaurant feel 5 stars. First time at this location. I felt like having cava and this was the closest to where I was. The young guys here were so nice. Q.J. was really sweet, his smile makes you smile. And the taller young man that graduated school early, I was wondering why he wasn't in school lol, he put me on to the blueberry soda even though I don't drink soda, it was good. My mom loves CAVA, so it was a no-brainer that after a long day of moving we'd stop by to try this new(ish) Emory location. Unfortunately, our time here was marred by the service we experienced tonight. We were immediately met by a shift of three people who not only had zero professional chemistry together, but seemed to actively dislike each other. Needless to saw, the first impression was uninspiring. My mother ordered the harissa avocado bowl (she's a big avocado girly), and it turns out they're out of rice. After waiting a few minutes we move down the line they say they're out of corn, and then that they're also out of avocado. Like, the titular ingredient of the $15 bowl my mom just ordered. My mom comments (in a totally normal not-mean way) that if she had known they were out of avocado she wouldn't have ordered the avocado bowl, to which the server brashly snaps back with "well we don't have it, so what do you want instead?" We both were kind of taken aback, and after checking out hurried on out of the restaurant. Definitely will not be returning to this location, at least during the night shift. read more

I worked here, and my experience was very disappointing. During my time at this location, I observed expired food being relabeled instead of properly discarded, which raised serious food safety concerns for me. The management was also unprofessional and treated employees poorly. Favoritism was common, communication was disrespectful, and some employees were treated unfairly when it came to scheduling and opportunities. It created a stressful work environment where many employees felt undervalued.Based on my experience, I would not recommend working or eating here. I hope the company takes these concerns seriously and makes improvements to both food safety practices and how employees are treated. read more

Finally got to try a CAVA and my expectations were sky high after seeing their stock up --- on the year. At first, I was going to give this a 4 star because I couldn't quite justify the price but then I realized that I'm the problem, not CAVA. Their target consumer is the health nut that has money to spend and a packed schedule. So if you don't belong in that category, don't expect to eat here everyday. So since I need to get my money up, I will be writing the rest of the review with price out of the picture or else it's like me giving a 1 star to a Michelin star restaurant because it destroyed my bank account yknow. With that out of the way, I totally understand the hype. There's no restaurant like this in terms of being "fast food" while also being this healthy. Of course everyone knows the style is similar to chipotle but I think cava is superior in the variety of flavors that it offers as well as the healthiness of the food. A Mediterranean diet is known to be one of the healthiest, most well balanced diets in the world. A couple extra details I loved were the preset meals that they offer on the menu and the drinks. One complaint that I had was they seemed inconsistent in the portion sizes (see pictures) but that may have just been a location specific issue. read more

Now that Cava has been added to the pantheon of bowleries in the Emory Village area, I had to go and check it out. Cava has always been a good option for me when I'm looking for a quick tasty lunch that won't make me feel like hibernating afterward, but as with all chains the quality does vary from location to location and city to city. This particular CAVA, at least for the dining in part, is pretty solid. First of all, they have a decent amount of indoor seating, both bench/bar style and tables. (Not to be shady but the nearby sweetgreen could learn a thing or two. They have way too few seats.) Folks are friendly, the ordering process was seamless, and I really appreciate that they use reusable bowls and cutlery if you're dining in. No reason to use single-use products that just get thrown in the trash if you're dining in. I had the harissa chicken bowl, which is well balanced with its textures, flavors, and is overall a really satisfying lunch. read more
