I finally made my way over to the Eastside, and I have to admit they surprised me. As a Westside homegirl, I wasn't expecting this brunch to be as good as it was, but they definitely proved me wrong. We started with the drinks, and that frozen peach Bellini was so good. The lemon drop tower was a fun addition to the table too. The food was the real star. The fried green tomatoes had the perfect crunch, and the berry French toast was hands down one of my favorite things we ordered. It was sweet, fresh, and full of flavor. I also ordered the Southern plate with fried chicken, collard greens, and yams. I really appreciated that they don't use pork in the greens. They use smoked turkey, and they were seasoned perfectly. The yams tasted homemade, not overly sweet, and the fried chicken had a crispy, well-seasoned crust with juicy meat inside. The creamy grits and fried catfish were another standout. The grits were smooth and creamy, and the catfish was fried just right. My cousin couldn't stop talking about the salmon sliders and the lamb skillet, so those were definitely a hit too. The service was friendly, the food came out hot, and the atmosphere made it easy to sit back and enjoy brunch. I left full, happy, and already thinking about what I want to order next time. My friends and Noticed a new brunch spot and decided to go in and check it out . Stopped in on a Sunday. The atmosphere is calm and comfy. The server was attentive and helped us with our food choices since we have never been there. We got a wide range of menu items. Ambiance: The place is spaciously quaint, located in a quiet neighborhood along Flat Shoals. With modern minimalist light fixtures, the velvety mauve glam upholstered booth seating compliments the rose clay mauve painted walls. Service: The service is welcoming, swift and accurate. I only wished my glass of water was refilled before finishing my meal. Food: I ordered the Lobster tail & Grits with a side of Eggs. I've been excited about The Brunch at East Atlanta, a Black and woman-owned spot just outside East Atlanta Village, and finally visited for Saturday brunch. The decor is stylish, fitting right into the neighborhood, and the diverse crowd confirmed this was a much-needed addition. The menu pricing is competitive with Atlanta's brunch scene but slightly more reasonable by about $5-6. I ordered the chicken and waffles with a Parisian Nights cocktail, while my dining partner had salmon and grits with a mimosa. The food arrived hot, though service was a bit slow. The fried chicken was flavorful and perfectly golden--something I'd order again. The waffle was lighter and softer than I prefer but still delicious and didn't need syrup. The salmon and grits were tasty but seemed overpriced at $27 for just those two items; adding a side would make it more worth it. Overall, this spot has potential. Expanding the menu and refining portions could make it even better. I'm rooting for this Black-owned gem to thrive in the neighborhood! read more

This place was horrible. It took 40 mins for our party of 7 to get their food... and the restaurant was basically empty. Not one person was happy with their food. My husband ordered the salmon and cheese grits. The grits we sooo watery and runny that the salmon sank to the bottom of the dish. Two people ordered the chicken and waffles.. both barely touched the chicken. It was stringy and disgusting. Not one person finished their food. I would never, ever, EVER recommend this place. Unless you enjoy overpriced, subpar food. In that case, this is the spot for you. Also: Parking was horrific! We ended up having to put the car in reverse and drove backwards out of the entrance because we were blocked by other cars from being able to drive forward. read more

Let's start with parking it's definitely going to be a challenge. I circle around maybe twice and finally was able to park in the parking lot. We had a reservation for a large party and our tables were ready and we were seated. We were greeted with a warm welcome and the restaurant was decorated for Christmas it was very festive. We reviewed the menu and placed our orders. I ordered the blueberry mimosa and it was good. I ordered the chicken and waffles for my entree and everyone had received their food but me. They finally brought the side of yams I ordered but I still hadn't received my chicken and waffles. I noticed the table next to us who had come in after us was receiving the food orders and unfortunately I was still waiting. I had to point it out to two different servers before I finally received my order. Let me just say this the chicken was overly seasoned and the waffle even topped with fruit was flavorless. I was disappointed. Brunch is my favorite foodie adventure and it just wasn't giving. I ended not eating it and I do feel like I should've just ordered mimosas because I stopped for food after I left. I later found out a lot of the people in my party that day were also disappointed in the chicken and waffles. Good news is feedback from this experience is the veggie wrap was delicious and the chicken sandwich was delicious. Will I go back ? maybe ... until next time SYOY! I got the lamb chops with eggs and potatoes, and while the food came out in a reasonable amount of time, I was pretty underwhelmed. The meal lacked flavor and didn't live up to the price. It felt overpriced for what you get, and I ended up only eating about half of it. One thing I will say is that it's great they serve halal meat, which is hard to find at brunch spots, at least from what I've seen. So I do appreciate that. Walking into this restaurant, there was peace, pleasant, & calm atmosphere. Everyone was polite, kind, and respectful.The staff was excellent on how they greeted you with respect. Everything on the menu was healthy. The chicken & waffles with the grits was the best. The grits was so creamy & good. The lamb chops with the asparagus season well. These are just a few things that I had off the menu. I will definitely come back to chill & enjoy good food. This is the type of place friends and family can come out to spend time together. 1. Staff knew all the right words but no follow through. We sat at the bar. The host said "Let us get this cleaned off for you" and it was never wiped down. I even very obviously started moving crumbs away from my space and the bar tender never paused to clean the area. 2. Food: yikes!!! Not bad but not fresh. My avocado toast was fake. It was very clearly the package guacamole from the grocery store. Totally something I can do myself...throw some bread in the toaster, slap some processed guacamole on top and serve. 3. All that ambience...modern barn doors and gold accents. Then they gave us plastic forks. When we asked for real silverware the response was "I will try to find some" 4. The kicker to the plastic ware was we had LAMB chops !!! A plastic knife trying to cut a lamb chop. 5. Speaking of the lamb, another pre packaged processed item. Very much like the heat and serve lamb at your local grocery store. Fake grill marks and bottled liquid smoke to try to trick the palate. read more

I came here on 3/1/26 to celebrate my birthday , the food was great. The customer service however, was bad. My party & I were seated and then unattended to for about 25-30 minutes without being accommodated with drinks or drink options. I had to wave someone down myself, mind you the place is small so you can't miss a huge table of people , in the center of the floor, that hasn't been served. After getting ahold of someone, the waitress said nobody notified her that she had a table. Shouldn't you be attentive and present on the floor anyways? ; The waitress seemed like she was annoyed and the service from her did not deserve to get automatic gratuity. I think it's unfair to us paying customers to get subpar or bad service especially when the tip is included. read more
