I came across Spring Greens while driving home from work and decided to stop in on a whim. I'm so glad I did. The employee who helped me was friendly, patient, and took the time to answer all of my questions about the menu. He explained everything thoroughly, which made it easy to decide what to order. I was told lasagna is available on Thursdays, so I ordered the chicken lasagna along with a side of green beans from the hot bar. The chicken lasagna, made with ground chicken sausage, was flavorful and fresh. The green beans were cooked perfectly and made without meat, which I really appreciated. Before leaving, I also stopped by Jayida Ché, the tea shop located inside the restaurant, and ordered a hibiscus lemonade. It was refreshing and the perfect addition to my meal. The restaurant itself was beautifully decorated, very clean, and had a welcoming atmosphere. This was a great first visit, and I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu. read more

Came across this place in TooGoodToGo app where we could pick one protein and two sides. Which is a better deal than other options since you usually just pick up a mystery bag. The establishment seems to original in style and can serve as a great formal venue. Looking at their many options, I got their Turkey loaf with 4 bean chili and cabbage. The loaf was soft and flavorful but I can't quite say the same for the sides. Both were cooked well but were greatly improved with some garlic powder I added when I got home. Overall, I had a good experience. The employee was very patient and kind when preparing my order. Not sure what happened first go around on Thursday I asked for 10 wings. I was told I could get 5. ok....I waited an hour and 40 minutes. I just made it to atl ... and was hungry drove around hours for halal food... alas found it alhumdullilah... the alhumdullilah was short lived w 5 wings. I'll try again ... maybe it was an off day... Today I asked for 10 wingettes I waited an hour but I got 7 decrepit mini wingettes (like the size of a baby chick wingette).... I asked if they had homeless ppl around bc I would give it away but even then it wouldn't be right to give someone that meal... and burned fries. I left the food w the cashier. I've only experienced this place using the too good to app, but each time it has been a 10/10 experience. The young man working the serving bar is very friendly and efficient and works that area and the register with ease. I've witnessed him take cash for an order, state hold on while I wash my hands, don new gloves and go back to the serving line. You rarely see that these days. I ended up checking this place out on a whim when I saw them on the Too Good to Go app. It's such an easy way to pick up a random dish allowing me check out a new biz so I always keep my eyes open for new places. Springreens stood out to me when I realized that it was Halal and that they had a mission to their meals, so I figured they were definitely worth a try. The restaurant is located in a strip mall and easy to find. Parking is a bit interesting but finding a spot was a breeze. When I entered on a weekend afternoon, I was surprised to see a number of guests inside chatting and eating away as it poured down outside. The restaurant interior is well thought out, with tall sitting booths in one area, a few tables and a nice little stage area in the back. I can imagine that they have large crowds and perhaps, events, in this space. There's also a good amount of space for a line to queue up right in front of their hot bar. The hot bar was full of different sides, meats and more. It smelled SO good in there. I was greeted and let the woman at the cash register know that I was picking up a Too Good to Go order and she quickly moved into action. If you're not familiar with the aforementioned app, it offers some great deals of varying prices at different restaurants all over. The trick is, you don't know what you're going to receive until you get to the restaurant. I ended up receiving a baked chicken meal with a side of veggies, some mac & cheese and my choice of bread, I went with cornbread. The young lady who prepared my plate was not new to this at all, and loaded me up with all the goods. So appreciated! I was in and out within 10 minutes or less. The meal portion was great for me, even more than I expected for $8. The veggies were well-cooked but not seasoned, but with how health is in the country, I don't even blame them and perhaps I could use less salt in my life anyways lol. The mac and cheese was good, would have loved more cheese, but the crust was nice and brown, and it was a good portion. The chicken was delicious! Super moist and juicy, the skin was well-seasoned, best part of the plate. I will absolutely be returning to try more options and see what else they have going on! read more

I heard about this place from a friend and decided to stop by on a Sunday. I have nothing but positive thoughts about this restaurant. It's located inside of predominantly Muslim shopping mall. And I think is Muslim owned and operated so the food is halal. It's a pleasant space, causal with plenary of booth and table seating. The food is cafeteria style. I also saw a stage in the back so they might have some entertainment. It felt clean, nice music, and the staff were very friendly. I ordered the Baked Chicken with collard greens, Mac and cheese and black eyed peas. The food was great, well seasoned and fresh. Nothing was too salty and I didn't feel stuffed or heavy after eating. The food is reasonably priced and they also offer a kids option. I think this is some of the best soul food I've had in Atlanta. The food is always amazing the service is also very good. The sisters that run this cafe are overflowing with love for what they do and their patrons. That love is palatable as soon as you walk in the door. I come here because I have a medical sensitivity to pork but continue to come back not only for the food but how welcome and cared for I feel when dining here. A couple of tips Friday is their busiest day any other days are really chill it will be steady but not long lines like Friday but the food is worth it either way. Food and service are amazing at this place. I have made several orders both through too good to go and at normal menu price. Saturday I placed a too good to order that I picked up around 3pm, ate in the parking lot then went back to buy something at full price for later. The too good to go app showed more bags available for Sunday with a pickup time between 6:30pm-7:00pm. I made my way down and that cancelled the order on me after driving an hour through Atlanta traffic for nothing. Too good to go orders cancel from time to time but I have an issue more with the pickup window. This cafe serves everyone but they have a high Muslim customer base they serve and that community is in Ramadan(where they fast during the day and eat at night). My constructive criticism is that the restaurant not serve too good to go during Ramadan or at least not so late when the probability of running out of food is high because everyone is coming of there fasts. That is all. Going forward I will most certainly have to call the actual store instead of relying on an app. read more

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and the smell of delicious food. I'm so glad I didn't order online takeout because the food looked and smelled so much better in person and the atmosphere was perfect for dining in. I ordered the veggie plate with eggplant stew, lima beans, succotash, and string beans, and every item was excellent! The awesome thing is that the veggies aren't cooked in meat which allowed me, a vegan, to enjoy them. My mom, who is not a vegan, ordered the veggie plate as well because of how yummy they looked. My 3-year-old daughter tore up her little chicken leg with no problems...lol. Mrs. Jamilla, one of the owners, came out and greeted us, and her sweet, down-home spirit put the icing on the cake of our experience. You could tell she takes pride in her perfectly seasoned recipes and cooking with healthy ingredients. We ended our visit with a Vanilla Chai Rooibos tea from Jayida Ché, and it was off-the-chain! This is one of my favorite restaurants. I really look forward to the dining experience here; the food is generally on point. The food is fresh, the portion size and the service are for the most part excellent. This was my third or fourth time ordering the red snapper, which is one of the higher priced selections on the menu. They generally give you a generous portion, however this one was very small and seem to have soaked up more oil. I must say I was disappointed that they would compromise without explanation. I recently went to Georgia for a funeral and the repast was held at Springreens. My Georgia family are a bunch of healthy eaters so my cousin and I had literally made plans to find real food after the repast. Let me tell you that those plans never came to fruition. Everything and I mean everything was absolutely delicious!! The chicken wings were so moist and flavorful, we had to take trays home. We couldn't get enough. The black eyed peas and corn bread muffins, also all the way on point. The best thing about this food is that it wasn't all salted up. You know how you go to a soul food restaurant and they done poured a container of Mortons into the pot. So we got healthy and delicious. WIN WIN!!! read more

As soon as I walked in I greeted with an amazing smell of fresh food and a warm welcome from a young lady! I believe she said they just started serving breakfast 3 weeks ago. I got the the platter which consists of home potatoes, a biscuit (which was amazing, wish I would have gotten two lol) grits or oatmeal, the grits were to die for and a choice of fish or sausage, I got the fish, and your choice of OJ or Apple Juice.
